Sublime Blossom

I first encountered this fragrance last summer, when I was actually looking for a gardenia fragrance in a small perfume store in my home town The Hague (and bought the beautiful "Un Matin d'Orage" by Annick Goutal). Because I loved UMdO, the store owner brought Sublime Blossom to my attention. I really liked it but I had spent my money on UMdO and so I forgot about it. Recently, I found the sample she gave me in a drawer, and decided to try it again. It is amazing! The opening is very sharp, a blast of citrus and freesia, but then it's all creamy white and yellow flowers, not harsh and in your face but very natural and almost green, as if you were walking through a flower garden after the rain. There's enough soft wood to balance the flowers. It is very versatile: it will get you through a busy work day but is also suitable for going out or just a relaxing day at home. Another pearl from Miller Harris, which has turned into my favourite house by now. I just ordered a whole bottle and will be using it a lot while impatiently waiting for spring.

Straight from the first spray this perfume is indeed sublime. It's beautiful and multi-faceted. I'm absolutely loving the combinations of wonderful flowers such as jasmine, ylang ylang, orange blossom and honey suckle. While at the same time giving off this earthly base from sandalwood and musk, and slight citrus vibe. It is so soft and sweet in its flowery way, all though it doesn't really stand out. All the ingredients seem to mix so wonderfully quite like a bouqet, that there isn't a particular adventurous note that catches the attention. I don't require it to do that, because it's beauty comes from the soft combination. Edit: funny thing is after using it for a while and switching back and forth with other scents, this one is very clearly bergamot on opening. I did not get that when I first started using it. Nothing wrong with it either, it's a bit more zingy, which gives it a bit of an elegent little kick instead of just being a sweet bouqet.

Yellow. Spring time. Sunshine. I’m not a screechy, blousy, floral fan, but this is a smile in a bottle. Citrus & snapped sappy flower stem opener. A touch of fizzy refreshers. Freesia & orange blossom blooms. Warms up from the cool start to gift you a dreamy creamy ylang-sandalwood dry down. Hangs around well & leaves a good tail. If you like tart, yellow florals with a green edge & a creamy base it’s a safe blind buy. Not my usual niche but an enjoyable deviation from the incense & flames I normally dabble in.

Wow, she just arrived. I was taken back. I was expecting a nice ordinary floral for spring. Gee's I've never smelt a floral-like her. Sweet , beautiful unusual scent. Reminds of Sunflowers. If you fancy a different kind of floral please try it. TK Maxx are selling it at the moment at a very good price.

A fresh citrus scent. But with white flowers in the mix. Light fresh Spring/Summer scent. Pleasant, soft and comforting. Whilst also having a bit of sparkle. a fresh bouquet. I like ❤️

High hopes for this one but, its a meh. Contains some old Miller Harris dna (I don't think Lyn Harris is with the company anymore, non?) but its just kind of a flat faximile of the original. Like with all the great design brands, when the founder leaves they carry on with the name & momentum for a bit but the core talent is no longer there and the innovation, the spark vanishes. Sublime blossom is a bit generic, lacking character. Not bad per se, has quality but just not great, not unique, does not have that sine qua non one is looking for in a fragrance. But perfectly acceptable. Art does not arise from a compromise. It will collect dust on my shelf. Notes listed above not characteristic of the fragrance which is mainly dryish woody musky floral - don’t get any citrus.

First spray from the bottle is super powdery and dry floral. Then it shapeshifts into a strong floral which is almost spicy. Kind of a wolf in sheep's clothing. Try before you buy as it is quite overpowering and has a distinct character. I'd say it is unisex, and an interesting fragrance, honeysuckle and freesia is very strongly present. Not really for me, as it is too overpowering, but let's see how time develops my opinion. Update: I have used about half of my 100ml bottle and my opinion has not changed. try before you buy. Its okay but nothing distinctive, I would rate it 6/10. Would not classify this as a pretty floral, quite generic as well. Not my favorite I'm afraid, but I will finish it.

I blind bought this from TK Max very cheap, so looking at the notes I was expecting some citrus and flowers, summer perfume, however I don’t smell any citrus, but flowers, it’s like being in a flower shop or a garden...unfortunately is not something I would like to smell, I will give this to my mother

This fragrance smells like shampoo from you'd get at an expensive hotel. It's too mature for me and not a fan.

Initially an abstract blast of blooms infused with fresh Calabrian bergamot essential oil that on some days feels more like semi-sweet candied bergamot. After a while a sometimes dusty, other times dewy, realistic honeysuckle freesia emerges from the depths. All of this finally transforms into a divine, steady, powdered honeysuckle freesia layered on top of a creamy, faint green orange blossom. She leaves after many hours with a veil of musk and amber. Give it time, you won't understand this shape shifter immediately, because she also takes detours. But Sublime Blossom surprisingly sings once you get to know her. One of my favorite Miller Harris perfumes and signature scents.

Its a Bertrand Duchaufour for Miller Harris, need I say more. (I will anyway). It's strong, powerful, floral and mainly Jasmin, honeysuckle and freesia. He creates collectible masterpieces. As it is such a strong floral it won't be everyone's cup of tea - especially not with honeysuckle as one of the main notes which is a strongly feminine note. Enjoyable.

I can suffer the opening for the OMG stunning drydown- the rather harsh osmanthus/neroli cologne warms up swiftly thank goodness, the heart of warm heady lily and stephanotis is the main attraction here. Give it time ... beast to beauty in a moment. Delicious and surprising.

Smells like champagne. Dry and fizzy with a warm creamy base.
