Lace

This was a blind buy for me as I'm on a memory-lane kick at the moment. Never had it before, but I find that now the weather is hot it's the one I go for most days. It's light, sweet and floral, with nothing too deep going on. Just perfect for these early summer days in England. The perfume lasts all day, and I can always smell it on wrists easily the next morning. 24 hours isn't half bad for the price of this little beauty. EDIT June 23. I like this so much I've ordered the talc from Amazon. They are out of stock at the moment, so I have to wait.

I had this in the 90s and didn’t remember it until recently. Immediately order the body spray and wow, the nostalgia is amazing! I’m ordering the 100ml today. I was hesitant because of how the bottle looks and the low price but it’s just such a gorgeous scent that evokes memories of my teenage years that I have to own it. Much more mature scent than I usually wear but I don’t care, it’s taking me backkkkkk!!!

It's ok. Very reasonable price and I have a body spray, edt and lotion. Absolutely worth it as it's a powdery classic fragrance. Admittedly I used it for bed linen today but in a good way - it's an inoffensive clean yet powdery fragrance.

I bought it today as I'm on a nostalgia trip with scents. It's a vintage scent. Strong in the aldehydes (soapy scent), strong in the white florals and strong in the powdery musk. The white florals are more mature. If I would compare it to White Satin then White Satin is light and airy in its florals, whilst Lace is heavier and deeper its florals. The musk, or powder so to speak, is also accompanied by something heavier and woodier in Lace. I would still categorise Lace as clean soap and powder scent, but a heavier one. I imagine Lace more on ladies rather than younger girls. Whilst White Satin feels to me as it could be worn by both. Lace is more mature. It's like comparing a mature cheddar cheese with a non-mature cheddar cheese. Not that any of these scents smell like cheese by the way. Just that Lace feels more mature ...not old, just more mature. It has more depth and more body than White Satin. Both (White Satin and Lace) feel very vintage though. I love them both for that. If I would have to layer them with something else I would say that Lace would go well with Chanel Nr 5 and White Satin would go well with Coco Mademoiselle. Those kind of vibes. I'm happy to have Lace and feel like I have taken a time travel machine when I'm wearing it. I mean that in a positive way. Again, I love these type of nostalgic scents. It feels like I've smelt it many times before. I don't know where, but I have and I love it for that. Even without the nostalgic aspect Lace is a beautiful scent. It feels so clean, fresh and put together. It's not a signature scent or big going out scent, but great scent for running daily errands, going shopping, going to the doctors, that kind of thing. You will smell super clean and unintrusive. I'm a fan of Lace and happy to have it. I got it for £6 online.
