Popcorn Boys

This is very close to Lacoste Style in Play. It does have it's own character though. It is every bit as good, in longevity, smell and silage but, costs £5 (yes £5). Milton Lloyd produce good "smell-a-likes" and, they ARE very nice indeed. Excellent juice! (But silly name......who cares eh?)

As a milennial who's teenage years were filled with Lacoste Red (style in play) - which is long discontinued - I'm ao grateful for this utterly convincing dupe to be available. And only a fiver! I would have paid miles more to relive these memories. Pure nostaliga in a spray.

Apple is dominant with a hint of woody notes to mellow the sweetness. Smells exactly like Lacoste red, but the performance and sillage on this seems to out perform the more expensive Lacoste red which is a steal for the price tag.

I like the brand but this one really isn't anything special. As good or as bad as a Tommy Hilfiger cologne except for the quality. Popcorn as a good longitivity while Tommy's hasn't! This fragrance is the kind to wear when doing nothing special. Stuff like gardening, reading, computing at home or whatever non important event. A nice fragrance to have for those days & fill like wearing something. It will not disturb you nor anyone but you will smell something pretty light, fresh & herbal. For a good 10 hours! Definitily worth buying it for those days. I was expecting something sweet but not at all. The bottle is black & simple. No idea how they had this idea to use an awfull pink box for it!

Perseverance. That might be a better name than Popcorn. First spray and you're hit with an overpowering smell of hairspray. Anyone remember Insette Hairspray from the 80's? I can only assume that's the aldehydes. As I couldn't smell anything else I had to give a few more sprays. Eventually that heavy chemical smell evaporated and the real work began, trying to ascertain what this smells of. The only fragrance I'm getting is the white musk with an ever so slight woodsy note. As it's meant to have a fruity accord I kept sniffing, and sniffing. Possibly, maybe, there's a light apple note. Or am I just thinking that because it's in the ingredients? Either way the synthetic musk is about the only thing I can smell for sure. Longevity is about 5 hours, although within an hour it's dried down to a very light skin scent. Sillage very intimate. I've read quite a few reviews of this and most seem to be quite positive. In all likelihood I've probably just got a weak batch. At only £4.50 for 50ml I can't really complain.
