Tea Rose

I'm very surprised there aren't any other reviews for this. I blind bought Tea Rose on eBay (it's not available in Australia, had to order it from the UK), and was quite wary of another blind buy, as most are. And was truly stunned on the first spray. First and foremost, I think it's important to note that the sprayer on this sprays like an aersol can, not a perfume. So I was alarmed by the massive wave of perfume that covered me on first spray. Keep note of that. The perfume however, was an entirely different story. The rose is very realistic, but the closest comparison I could think of, is many varieties of heavily fragrant roses that my mother and I grow at home. The only problem was, that when it hit my skin, it turned into the rather unpleasant, headache-inducing smell I experienced when wearing Diamonds and Rubies by Elizabeth Taylor, and I thought it a woeful experience, because I felt the onset of a nasal headache. However, after about ten minutes, the synthetic bomb that had plagued me died down, and filled the room with this lovely, heavenly scent of fragrant roses, the same scent as I had smelled in the air not too long before. The sillage on this perfume is enormous, but the lasting power, not more than an hour and a half. However, for the cheap price, I don't mind respraying. Well done, Milton Lloyd!

It was a blind buy because I loved Stella McCartney's Summer Rose so much, and this is supposed to be the dupe of that. Well, it is not. First of all: Summer Rose had some freshness, some green and some citrus to make the rose more complex and sophisticated. It was a pretty, beautiful, light, feminine scent. This is way too sweet and way too heavy, all I can smell is sugar and/or honey, sweet green apple, some musk, and some sythetic element, which I can't even recognize. Definitely too much for summer, and definitely not sophisticated. The sillage is overpowering right after spraying, but the longevity is very poor on the skin. After 30 minutes, when the synthetic mess is gone, the rest of the perfume will be gone, too. I wanted to love this perfume, because I'm a huge rose fan, but I can't even smell true rose in this. Don't buy, if you want a dupe of Stella's Summer Rose. But if you like sweet, heavy perfumes, give this a try. At least, it is not expensive.

This goes on horribly. Strongly scented "rose" potpourri and lemon disinfectant spray. It's a bad beginning and it's hard to avoid spraying it everywhere with the deodorant nozzle. I'm giving it time to mellow but that first shot made me sick to my stomach.

I really hated this one. Potpourri/Turkish delight style synthetic roses, sickly and overpowering, with a strange rotten fruit/grape soda type undertone. Silage is enormous, unfortunately. Made me feel sick.
