Very, very, very good alternative at hugo boss number one. Good performance too. Higly recommended.

@Wonkydonky(below): must have something else up his nose rather than the smell of this fragrance. He has no taste whatsoever either it seems! This is not bad at all but nowhere near as bad WD says. For £5 you do get more than your money's worth. It's smells good and if you like Hugo Boss No.1 then you will enjoy this very much. It's on a par with the original for performance and you do get very good value for your money. Classic barbarshop!!!

Update: This is a Hugo Boss 'Number One' copy and a good one at that. The initial blast is not that pleasing but after about 5 mins it settles down to that well familiar No.1 classic smell! The performance is very good actually, better than what I first thought. Longevity is an 8/10 about 7 hrs and Sillage again goid 5/6ft and leaves a trail. A good buy indeed this one!

Sad to learn that this is not to my liking, unlike many of its aromatic cousins in the retro realm.

This is better than the Bondage Temptation from Milton Lloyd that I reviewed recently, but it still is a big disappointment. This is meant to smell like Hugo Boss, although I haven't compared, but if Hugo Boss smells like this I think i'll give it a miss. It's a very medicinal smell that catches the back of my throat. Like a more potent lemsip maybe and that is being kind. It starts out awful, before getting marginally better on dry down but nowhere near enough that i'd risk wearing it around other people. I'm starting to think i've received a stale old batch of Milton Lloyd EDT's as a lot of reviews led me to believe they were good cheapie-alikes and at £2.99 each, I thought their may be at least one that will be good (there is, I will review that another time). The Sillage is pretty weak but the longevity (unfortunately) is good. I could smell it on my wrists quite potently around 6 hours after I sprayed it. Overall 2/10 - Quite nasty, but compared to Bondage Temptation Pour Hommes, it's much better!

@johnjubal1958 Oh I don't know. If your name (1958) is anything to go by, you are a different generation to me, thus maybe why you enjoy this a little more? Remember, taste is subjective. One of the first rules of fragrance. One persons trash is another persons gold.

I bought this because it was about £7 off Amazon. Personally I think it just smells like a lavender air freshener, kind of reminds me of my nans house. Great for spraying on your pillow before bed, but I don’t think it’s for me.
