I bought this after these reviews as I wanted a reasonable clone for Chanel No. 5 and am so glad I did as it is far better than I thought it would be. I won’t buy No. 5 today due to its being a shadow of itself but my chief memories of it stem from a bottle I had of the eau de toilette splash I was gifted in the early nineties which would have been an eighties formulation. Vogue is definitely a very respectable dupe for that version of No. 5 (in fact it is closer in spirit to the original – today’s thin, evanescent No. 5 is the one that smells like the poor quality dupe to me). The aldehydic notes, skilfully blended with rich white florals and rose on top of a bed of woody and powdery notes and luxury soap is the same as No. 5 but Milton Lloyd’s performance is that much better. Drydown is rich, haunting and luxuriantly feminine. I did as one reviewer did on Fragrantica and sprayed a paper towel with it, thinking I’d return to it to assess it later but before I could it reached out and seduced me with wafts of absolutely heavenly fragrance being carried in on the breeze coming through the kitchen door to where I was sitting, a bit like the beckoning spectral hand of fragrance in the vintage cartoons reaching out to tap me on the shoulder. Projection is terrrific and it’s still going strong after 6 hours – getting softer now though still a lot more than a skin scent. I read on their website that they’re attentive to quality and have to say they are as this smells far more expensive than the price and the nose that created this being clearly very accomplished with quality oils used in its formulation. A dupe? Lovely in its own right - Bravo! Please do keep making this beauty!

I sprayed this on me at a stall in the shopping centre where I used to live, not expecting much, but it was super strong and I could smell it all day on me. It's a very close dupe of Chanel No5. Soapy, aldehydic, sort of old fashioned but in a good way. It smells gold. It's got a champagne like quality to it. Gorgeous and I'd forgotten about it til I got Milton Lloyd's Night Flower. Now I think I'll get this and Monaco. If you love No5 but can't afford to buy it, or you have it but want to save it as much as possible, get this. They're great quality, you'd never think they were so cheap. Edit I bought them. I don't wear perfumes like this too much but I do go through phases of craving a good "granny" perfume, or a really powdery vintage, so this will definitely do for when I feel like I wanna wear No5. I wouldn't buy a bottle of the Chanel for how little I'd use it. I do have a bottle with about 15ml left in it that I got about 5 years ago as a gift though but I can't figure out what it is. It's obviously fake, it says Chanel No5 edp but the juice is pale pink and it smells different to this. It's more creamy and soapy. It's gorgeous but I have no idea what it is or I'd buy it. It's not Coco Mademoiselle, it's some sort of No5 in the square chunky bottle. I doubt I'll ever know.

A few weeks ago I ordered “Hawaii “ , a Milton LLoyd dupe of the Lagerfeld Chloe from the 1980’s . I was pleasantly surprised and it reminded me of the original and was quite pretty . It also lasted longer than the version made now. I was looking on Amazon , and saw this perfume and read favorable reviews of it . Out of curiousity I ordered it because the reviews were good and it is a dupe of Chanel #5 . Last night I sprayed a about 3 -4 spritzes on a paper towel in my kitchen . This morning I walked in the kitchen to make my coffee and was met with a beautiful and rich smell . No, I am NOT kidding ! I could not believe how pretty the scent was. It is , in my opinion, ten times prettier than the current formula of Chanel #5 ( May 2019 ) . The Chanel #5 formula sold in my town now is VERY weak and thin. This lasts longer and smells superior to my nose. I can smell this on my clothes days after I sprayed it , and can smell it hours later in my bathroom , That is better than some of my high end Chanel and Givenchy scents that disappear totally before two hours. I love Vogue and honestly think it reminds me of the Chanel #5 I remember many years ago .

Had this for a couple of months now, and when I first received it, it didn't smell of much and vanished after an hour. I sprayed heavily and managed to use half the 50ml bottle, but I then put it to the back of my cupboard and forgot it. Couldn't decide what to wear today, it being 30 degrees, so I thought ha-ha, time for Vogue; it's very light and won't bother anyone. Well, it seems my hayfever has diminshed considerably and now I know this is a quite strong perfume and lasted well over 6 hours on me!! It's a good job we were on lockdown and I wasn't mixing with polite company - I'd have gassed them out with how much I had been wearing! I get the rose and jasmine, not sure I'd be able to recognise an aldehyde or a ylang, but the vanilla and musk, with the woody vetiver, is lovely. I'm very pleased with this perfume, but in it's own right, and not as a dupe, because I have never had Chanel No 5. Not sure I'd bother with the Chanel either, as I have many perfumes to choose from already, especially florals.

I decided to buy this based on the reviews. The moment I opened the cap, I was greeted by such a beautiful scent.🤍 I own Chanel No. 5 EDP and Vogue. Unfortunately, I’ve never had the chance to smell an older bottle of Chanel No. 5 EDP, but reading reviews from people who say this is what it used to smell like years ago makes me smile. Vogue smells like expensive soap. It’s so cozy and comforting. I think this is the kind of fragrance I’d love people to smell on me when they hug me it feels warm, elegant, and very feminine. I’m going to let it macerate for a few months to see how the scent develops. I hope it becomes even better over time. I had a similar experience with Monaco. I left it untouched for about a year, and its performance improved dramatically. I think this fragrance would be spectacular with a gentle breeze, just like someone mentioned in the comments. I’ll definitely be wearing it on autumn and winter afternoons.❄️🍂

I've been wearing this for the past two days. I'm really loving it. Thank you to the lovely CurlyKitty8, for sending it to me!! I'm not surprised that I love this so much, because it really does remind me of Chanel #5. I really enjoy wearing Chanel #5 edp and Chanel #5 L'eau. I'm also a big fan of the eau de toilette, but I don't own that one anymore. Some of the reviews have said that this smells like the #5 eau de toilette. Here is my take on it. It reminds me of a hybrid of the edp and edt of Chanel #5. When it first goes on, I feel the edp, and when it dries down, I feel the edt. So strange, but wonderful!! Whatever it is, I really like it. I feel that it is even more powdery than the #5 edp, that I own. When sniffing Chanel on one wrist, and Vogue on the other, they do smell a little different, but they're definitely related. I just love this little hybrid called Vogue!!

Magnificent scent, strong and so persistent! Far too beautiful that I would compare it to any other or understand it as a duplicate! For me it has nuthing to do with Chanel no. 5. If I should describe it as a colour, I would say I see it as golden. Reminds me of aromatic wood and disco of my youth :D. I applied it 5 hours ago and is only now becoming a skin scent! Increadible stuff - for such a small amount of money! Thank You, Milton Lloyd <3 ; please, never stop producing it! Count me pleased with Vogue! Initially, on first spray, I didn't think it smelled like no 5. There is an acrid, rather green opening that leads into chypre territory. But! Dry down happens shortly after and Vogue becomes a clean, soapy aldehyde. Like another reviewer said, '...soap with extra roses'. Actually, Vogue reminds me of a cross between Chanel no 5 AND the lovely L'aimant. Since L'aimant is hard to find, I couldn't be more delighted! And I do believe it's a tad sweeter than either - jasmine is definitely here as well. Longevity could be better - happily no problem if you spray on fabric or hair. The scent lingers gracefully about me for hours when worn this way. And it is surprisingly refreshing and appropriate for hot weather, with it's lavish spray nozzle and sophisticated, clean aura. Conclusion: Bargain WINNER

I've been taking more interest than usual in perfumes lately, I think with COVID restrictions a spritz of perfume provides a bit of escapism! I've splashed out on a few expensive perfumes, including a recent Chanel, and been disappointed. They seem so thin and watery, no substance or liveliness to them at all. I used to think paying for top end perfumes was worth it, but now I'm not so sure. I'd agree with annxyz that this is "just like the Chanel #5 I remember many years ago." Bravo, Milton Lloyd! Unfortunately, my husband calls this an "old lady fragrance" (he doesn't like the powdery notes), so it's going to another home.

This is hands down the best value and performance ratio of any perfume resembling Chanel No 5 or coty l’aimant This is astounding value ! Hawaii is unbeatable but this is equally fantastic if you love vintage no5 or l’aimant this is a must & It lasts till the next day it was so impressive I had to leave a review. Milton Lloyd make the most fabulous perfumes and are relatively under the radar most are under £10!!!! Outstanding in every category.

Dear readers♥ I got curious with everyone's reviews stating this perfume called vogue by Milton Lloyd was like Chanel's no5 !, I was like Oooh this I must seek and try since I and my family been admirers of the Chanel line for years although I was skeptical how can a "cheapie" have the same scent as a high end perfume , I must go and seek this perfume out. Now I found this perfume at grocery store where I shop and I took advantage and purchased vogue and other's and this is my impression on Vogue. This is definitely a scent of a crafty imposter posing as a Chanel no5 it has the powdery warmth and flowery charm of it, but isn't a clone of Chanel , it has that " something is missing " for a nose that knows a the Chanel very well. The staying power lasts like 1 hour on my skin. The silage wasn't grand as I wanted , it wasn't like the real Chanel no5 that is rich in spirit that makes a great entrance and leaves a lasting impression in the hearts of people. Vogue by Lloyds wont be part of my perfume pantheon but incase I need a cheap perfume for my car , it is a very true good knock off when you cant afford the real thing in tough times.

Vogue was a real blast from the past, although I don't remember wearing it before. At aged 15 I visited a friend. First, we raided her sister's room for dress-up and perfume, then I experienced my first horse ride, jolting along, a strange sight to behold in Dolly Parton wig, Clockwork Orange eyelashes, expensive make-up garishly applied, and drenched in No 5. I've never owned no 5, much preferring no 19 and 22, and though I sprayed it many times while grazing in duty free, it never gave me the same kick as that first wearing. Well! After buying Vogue based on fragrantica reviews, one spray transported me right back in time to riding that horse covered in vintage Chanel no 5. Not bad for under a fiver. And I've only had it a week. Imagine how it will be after a month in a dark cupboard. If I can wait that long.... While I remember, if you don't know what to expect maybe spray the air and walk through because the spray on this rivals a garden hose.

A good and cheeper chioce for Chanel 5. It smells really alike. I can smell the rose in it. After a few hours it i start to like smell like a beach note in it somehow positively though :) Really strong so 1 or 2 sprays is enough, and the longvity is good. I have had it on for about 6h now. One thing to notice is that the spray sprays like a spraycan, so you need to stop the spaying yourself, since it doesnt pump out perfume like most perfume bottles does. Otherwise you will accidently bath in it. Wich would be excellent for those who bath in perfume, for the rest of us not.

I finally got my hands on Vogue. I own Chanel Nr 5 and I also own Coty L'Aimant. So I can compare Vogue to both. How does Vogue smell like: I would say that it's the woodier, less sweet sister of Chanel and L'Aimant. Nr 5 has less body and seems fruitier, rather sweet in comparison to Vogue. I have the EDP of Nr 5 by the way. Vogue is closer to L'Aimant I would say. It has the same strong soapy top and they both feel less blended than Nr 5. Out of all 3 Vogue is the most woody, the most spicy, the most full bodied and the least sweet. Nr 5 feels almost girly, light and sweet in comparison to Vogue...and I never thought that I would ever call Nr 5 girly, light and sweet. But it does feel this way in comparison to Vogue. Do I like Vogue? Yes, I think that it's nice to have a woodier, less sweet version of Nr 5. If Vogue would be a Nr 5 flanker I would call it: Nr 5 "Autumn Nights". I'm happy to have it. I got my Nr 5 "Autumn Nights" for £4.20. What's not to like. By the way: Vogue drastically outperforms Nr 5 in strength and lasting power, too.

Vogue starts off as a pleasent floral aldehyde: like a white soap bar with extra roses. However, after only some ten minutes this has faded into something sour, bad-smelling. Luckily the whole thing is gone after about one hour.

I was curious about this because it only costs $7 and so many people say it’s almost like Chanel#5.. So I received it yesterday and yes I do get that it’s an attempt to recreate #5. But it’s definitely not 5, it has a sour smell in the dry down for me.. Still it’s a nice scent and the Milton Lloyd company is intriguing to me in its Britishness and consideration of cost- wondering how they do it- but I CAN’T WAIT till my real Chanel #5 arrives which I purchased on Ebay! Maybe I will use this for my car, as someone said. I still love the expensive juices, alas..

A Chanel No.5 dupe. I haven't purchased Chanel No.5 myself but I've tried it in-store many times and I have my fair share of dupes. This is one of the better versions of Chanel No.5 dupes and gives a more vibrant edge. This is a very womanly fragrance that smells like a perfume and those around you will know you're wearing a perfume so if you don't like loud fragrances keep your distance. However, if you're after a pretty feminine scent that's flirty without being particularly "girly" this is definitely something to try.

I can see how Vogue can be regarded as a No.5 dupe, but realistically no, it isn't. It lacks the citrus of 5 and somewhere there is a uriney aspect that clouds its performance. Clearly No.5's recipe is something that simply cannot ever be replicated, but ML has made a good attempt at an affordable price. There are others in the ML range that deserve more status than this one.

If you love Chanel L'Eau much more than the iconic No 5 because it's softer and lacks the naughty civet as I do, you will enjoy this inexpensive jewel for its high quality, gorgeous scent and very small price tag!
