I feel like Min New York is a very under appreciated brand. I think they are very consistent and every now and then they produce something magnificent. Blackstar is what I consider a very average Min New York fragrance. It’s good, but not great. Whenever I smell this I get the woody and leather notes. To be honest I don’t recall smelling of the top or even middle notes. Blackstar is a nice fragrance to wear for formal occasions and work due to its leather note. It’s quite versatile, Blackstar can be worn for spring, fall and maybe even winter. It’s a handy fragrance to own, it’s a safe and decent scent. I just feel like there isn’t anything too special about it. Has a decent longevity of around 10 hours with an average projection of around arms length away. I got this at 50% off, without that offer I honestly wouldn’t have bought this fragrance. It comes at a high price point and honestly it’s definitely not worth its value. The rose and raspberry combo with the tea is giving me lychee vibes on the initial spray. It’s bright juicy and nice. It’s also kind of giving me Roja Taif Aoud vibes too cause this is pretty similar to what that smells like in the opening. Can’t wait to see how it changes in the dry down. Edit: as it dries down, it’s getting slightly darker and woodier. Has a little damp soil like oak moss in the back and that’s one of my favourite notes. The rose has changed too and it’s giving me Portrait of a Lady vibes. Slightly smoky but mostly jammy rose. Really liked the opening but I love the dry down. Projection and longevity are pretty good too. Overall, a really nice rose perfume. Need to try more perfumes from this brand.

Note a fan of this jammy sticky dewy rose note as a whole and sadly here its basically dominating the whole scent profile. To the point where its not even unique despite all these interesting listed notes it is reminiscent of multiple jammy rose perfumes
