Wars Classic

Wars, is a luxurious cologne produced in the 70/80/90 'by Pollena Uroda Warsaw, then by Uroda S.A., then Cussons Warsaw and now in the changed weak European formula by Miraculum Krakow in the Classic, Fresh, Sport version. It is refreshing water.

This one is a definite male fragrance. Very straightforward, well defined and in a way, simple. Classical and elegant, no frills but also no dissapointment. The price is ridiculously low, but hey - never mind, this is a surprisingly good value for money and nothing cheap in it. Recommended.

It's so hard to write the first review of it - an honest and fair one... This used to be one of the very few men's colognes once available in Poland, so in spite of its rather intense, overwhelming and cheap aroma, it was a luxury product. Many of our beloved grandfathers, fathers, uncles, neighbours etc. have had it at least once in their lifetime, many probably still do and for that matter this is a very sentimental and respectable element of our olfactory history:) I myself once ran for my life to the nearest window to catch my breath after me granddad had overdosed it - but that's what Wars is meant to be!:-D BTW WARS (pronunced /vars/) is the name of the Polish legendary character, it's not the English "military conflict" related word. It's strong, chemically smelling "cedar" kind of thing, once most barber shops were filled with this aroma.

I have had this one for about a year. I love it, my wife hates it. I love the woody, spicy smokey cedar and sandalwood scent. As an after shave it's amazing, just enough alcohol to kill the bacterias and still very soothing. And if you take it's price in consideration it's great value.

Creator name is Magdalena Chmielewska. Tested Wars Fresh version last summer. Citrus notes stay for hours on my skin. Impressive! It is a very well lasting freshie for men who don't want to smell like a fresh laundry.

I just got this, but my first impression of the scent reminds me of Barbasol shaving cream. It will probably be nice to follow up a shave with this to extend that shaving cream smell if you enjoy it. I do!
