Review of one spritz to the wrist pulse point: To my nose the note pyramid is a bit upside down. I get the cypress & moss immediately upon spraying - it has an herbal, woody almost medicinal effect. As that quiets down a sweet stickiness emerges - with a citrus twist. Within a half hour the heart emerges- in the USA when you open a fresh bag of campfire marshmallows there is this vanilla/powdered sugar/starchy powerderiness - this comes to the fore with iris on the outer edges and as you lean in closer you definitely still smell the citrus floral component. The "base" notes that were unmistakable at the beginning have completely receded to the background and to my nose are not really "present." Unfortunately on my skin the vanilla takes over and it's not an exciting vanilla or a woody vanilla it is a boring vanilla. It is really a pity - because the first 2 hours of the journey are interesting and do capture this interesting powder feel without being all that sweet - there is a starchy quality and that is interesting. But then it just dies on me and goes into generic soft vanilla territory. A pity because there are 3 in this line that I now own 100ml bottles - so I am a big fan of Mirko Buffini in general.
