The Jungle Book

So I REALLLYYY like this one! It's a fem, fresh, fougere, fruity, floral frag. It kind of played a little trick on me in the beginning. In the beginning it smelt semi unisex. I was getting mostly the forest foliage note & cedar, a light fig note, mixed very well with the lily of the valley flower, as if they were intertwined with one another. The cedar and Forest note kept it unisex tho. But as it dried down I picked up more of the sweet pear note, a fresh wet sweet fig(lightly), still dancing with the lily note, the warmness of Amber & the Forest note in the very back. Cedar completely gone, leaning much more feminine now. This mid stage is airy, sweet, fresh, juicy & gorgeous. It's giving vibes of House of sillage's Joyful escape(but fresher & wetter) & it's also very much giving me Valentino DBIR Greenstravaganza, although this has no tea they smell VERY much like cousins or sisters, this just has less vanilla than DBIR GREENSTRAVAGANZA. Longevity is surprisingly good on my clothes at least. Projection is arms length for the 1st hour to hour & 1/2 and closer to skin after that. Which i feel is PERFECT for this kind of summer/spring day frag.The final dry down stage to me is Amber & sweet pear. I really enjoy the way this frag flows effortlessly within each stage & yet you notice the changes at the same time. This may be FB worthy, especially for the fair prices this brand goes for. It's actually cheaper than the HOS & similar or cheaper than Valentino DBIR GS retail prices, OH! And this is WAY longer lasting than Greenstravaganza imo btw. But def test it out 1st to make sure this lasts on you as their are mixed opinions on that aspect & this may smell similar to something else in your collection.

I've been interested in the brand since I saw it here on Fragrantica. I'm a self-admitted naive guy with a liking for the whimsical, so this brand pretty much hits all the right buttons for me. I chose The Jungle Book as a starting point because it's accompanied me since my childhood. As expected, this is very green, very rainforest-like and damp but also very fruity and floral. You get the jungle vibe for sure, but not a thick, dense one. A more animated, whimsical one picturing the story and its characters. Jungle Book opens up fruity and green, with the pear, fig and foliage accord being in the forefront. Refreshing and very pleasant. It transitions into a more floral mid before drying down more woody, yet still retaining that sense of delicateness and whimsicality that you'd expect from a perfume based off a childhood tale. A very good job from perfumer Anh Ngo, whom I first discovered with D'Annam's Pho Breakfast and I can figure some of the perfumer's signature between these two. No, Jungle Book won't win awards for performance or longevity but I don't think that's the brand's promise, either. I went in wanting a fun, fairytale-like perfume reminding me of what the story is about and I got that here. Longevity-wise, I'd say it lasts about 6 hours on me, with the first hour or two projecting at arm's length. I'm eager to check out the rest of the brand's line-up!

A leafy jungle esque scent with green fig and dry woods with a fun touch of unripe pear to make it feel fresher and fruitier. Green fig scents have done thousands of times so this isn’t particularly unique but I do like the touch of powdery sandalwood and pear to make more more interesting. A lovely fig scent nonetheless

I got the discovery set recently and this was hands down my favorite of the bunch. I will for sure be purchasing a full bottle.

Foliage and pear take fig in a more verdant, juicy direction—less dry, more alive. It plays with the green side of fig in a way that feels fresh and playful. Out of all the figs I’ve tried, this one might be a favorite.

Green notes with lily of the valley. A few minutes in, sweet fig becomes apparent, then becomes increasingly woody and disintegrates.

At first, the fresh scent of pear blends with the green fig leaves and cedar. Gradually, it transitions into a fig-dominant fruity aroma. The dry-down is powdery and dry, with added amber, completely losing the initial dewy sensation.

Generic green, fresh, and fruity scent. It isn't offensive but it does absolutely nothing for me.

One of my favorites from the Fairy Tales discovery set by far. Love a me a green scent! If you’re a gardener who craves vegetal smells, this is a contender. However, when you analyze the longevity to the price tag, the entire discovery set struggles. Fresh and green (not very foresty) JB smells like new green leaves and stems rather than soil, woodland floor or decomposing leaves. I know the note breakdown says there’s both cedarwood and sandalwood, but my nose can’t detect them. Those woody notes don’t add much to the longevity either, which is surprising bc wood notes are some of the longest lasting period. If you’re someone who likes Bath & Body Works “white tea & sage” or “off the vine,” you’ll likely enjoy this bright and slightly bitter green perfume. Unsweet and totally unisex. Short longevity even compared to other green scents (of which notoriously don’t last long). Very intimate projection. Very nice but for a fraction of the cost, for a similar scent breakdown, I’d opt for Oakcha’s white fig and save over $120.

In the Jungle Book I really get the feeling of damp greenness that one would expect from a rainforest, plus an interesting fruity twist that evokes figs. It is a rather delicate fragrance, in truth, as it does not project very much or last truly that long. However, it has a fresh, crisp aspect that is well done, and captures the forest-like nature in a unique way. I think this one would be good for lovers of green fragrances, as it is done in a style that I have not really come across, as most fig fragrances lean on the sweet and lactonic parts of the fig, whereas this one is much less milky and more leafy. Good stuff!

I wouldn’t say I have any favorite from the entire Mischief Academy discovery set, but if I had to choose—or if someone handed me a free bottle—I’d probably go with The Jungle Book. MZVMIX's review really nails it: a damp greenness you’d expect from a rainforest, paired with a fruity twist that evokes figs. Normally, fig, greenery, and dampness are never my thing, but for some reason The Jungle Book just works. It’s far more wearable than I’d expect from a scent with this kind of profile. Def a unisex scent.

Starts off green then the juicy pear and fig start to come through. It stays fruity. One of the best from the set
