The Little Mermaid

Pleasantly surprised by this aquatic floral. The presentation is absolutely adorable (albeit pretty AI generated). The scent opens with a strong lilac and salty sea water combo, a tad synthetic perhaps, but really quite pretty. The seaweed/marine note gets stronger in the mid in a way that is fun but could be off-putting for some. The dry down is quite nice- it softens, a bit of powder emerges, and I can imagine layering it with a nice vanilla to round it out and bring out the warmth. I have Tears by Regime des Fleurs, and this bears a wee resemblance due to the lilac and salt notes, so it may feel redundant in my collection, but it's nice and worth sampling for lovers of lilac or marine florals.

I was really ready to not like this. It was recommended to me by a scentlab employee, and I wasn’t sure because I thought I was just in the market for a more straight-up marine scent and tbh I hate the packaging even though it isn’t AI art, but this is beautiful! It goes on very lilac heavy but fades to a champagney, bubbly sea salt scent that’s really lovely, clean and fresh. I definitely will be purchasing the full bottle in the future. Very pleasantly surprised!

i was initially pretty indifferent to this but kept reaching for it as a bedtime scent– ended up finishing my sample. there's something very innocent and moving about this fragrance. it's soapy, bright, and sweet. the smell of the poor little mermaid as she turns to sea foam.

Fresh and aquatic with a little bit of funkiness from the seaweed. It makes me feel like I'm a mermaid that just emerged from the ocean and is sunbathing on a rock. It layers really nicely with House of Bo - La Mar.

This is, hands down, the most intoxicating lilac scent I tried. There's a sparkling quality to it with the champagne note that's so uplifting. Amazing work!
