Amethyst’s Pollen

💜✨Amethyst's Pollen 8.5/10 for me. This is a beautiful violet-forward fragrance with undeniable retro charm. It shares some DNA with Guerlain Insolence: perhaps a softer, more approachable sister. This floral-fruity fragrance is wonderfully powdery, capturing everything I love about classic violet perfumes while still feeling fresh and wearable. It strikes a lovely balance between vintage femininity and modern refinement. The powdery violet accord feels romantic, graceful, and slightly dreamy, with hints of violet candies and cosmetic powder lingering in the background. Compared to Venice Rococo, I find Amethyst's Pollen smoother, easier to wear, and ultimately more versatile. If you enjoy powdery florals, violet candies, and fragrances with an old-world soul, this one is absolutely worth discovering. My mental image: Amethyst's Pollen feels like wearing a soft cream cashmere sweater on a cool autumn day, carrying a small box of violet candies while golden leaves dance in the breeze. There is a gentle melancholy to it, but also an inviting comfort. It is nostalgic, powdery, and quietly beautiful. 🍂

Very pretty but leaned slightly vegetal to me. If you don’t mind that from your violet this is a winner for sure!

It smells *exactly* like first batches of Insolence EDP, but with smaller projection and sillage. I remember having first ever sample of Insolence in 2008. Then the new releases didn't live up to this memory. And then I found Amethyst's Pollen. The great resemblance is not a surprise as they were both made by Maurice Roucel.
