Chocolate Cafe

Straight to the point: I have had Tom Ford Noir Extreme for about a year, and I have concluded that they either put Noir Extreme in my Chocolate Cafe bottle, or they put Chocolate Cafe in my Noir Extreme bottle - OR, they are just that similar. The only real thing I can notice (after trying hard to tell the difference), is that the "chocolate/kulfi" scent is much more present in the opening of Chocolate Cafe. Either way, it is a great fragrance that I can see working nicely during a date or knit sweater-type dinner party. I smell a ton of chocolate in this scent, yet reading other comments would suggest many do not agree. So to convey my point above about the "chocolate" scent. Rather than chocolate itself, I am referring to what they present as the chocolate component in the fragrances which is consistent between both Chocolate Cafe and Noir Extreme. CAD $12 for a 10ml is absolutely worth it for trying this fragrance.

How the hell is this rated so poorly?! People neednto get their noses checked to be honest lol. Its one of the most beautiful scents ive ever smelled in my life. Stunning vanilla chocolate gourmand with a orange citrus note thats somehow blended perfectly! It was love at first smell for me.

This scent is so addictive. It's like a chocolate machiatto cola that smells a little masculine at first then dries into a warm unisex deep rich spiced chocolate and it layers so well.with tf vanilla s*x It's a beast mode layering combo

Milky chocolate beautifully blended with florals and a soft woody base. Very smooth and elegant, like a grown up gourmand.

It's not the chocolate cafe I expected, since I expected some synthetic fake chocolate scent like what you'd smell when you walked pass M&M World Store in Soho. This is definitely not that. It does remind me of chocolate but not that much of a chocolate. It smells like a man who sprayed clean masculine aftershave sitting in a chocolate cafe. It's hard to describe but I kinda like it.

Agreed with bear_hem below. I don't think this is chocolatey at all. It's got an aftershave, café vibe which is hard to explain, but I do find it somehow interesting, even though I don't like it enough to purchase it. Bitter, mature, heavy, and sophisticated. It's nicer than I expected, to be honest. HOWEVER, the dry down lasts forever and smells nauseating. I get headaches just by sniffing at the sample paper I brought along with me TWELVE HOURS after I left the shop. It really is too heavy, in my opinion. Update: I don't know if I'll be supporting the brand any further. One of the employees told me he and his colleagues had to work 10-12 hours a day for the brand without being given a seating in the department store. The fragrance price has now also been escalated from 1459 THB to 1759 THB for a 60 ml bottle.

Opens with very bright Orange note, not the juice, but if you'd have a peel from orange and you squeeze it to get the juice from the peel - that's the note that I'm getting at the opening, After 5-10 minutes rose and jasmine join the party, but they are not loud at all, orange peel is still the leader, then sandalwood joins and adds creaminess. Not much saffron (which is good for me!) I would not call this a chocolate perfume on my skin. My imagination shows me this: I was told there's a cup with melted chocolate in the room, but it's hard to smell it because I have in my arms a bunch of flowers, and before I grab these flowers I put some luxury lotion on my hands, and it adds to the composition. Oh, and these flowers were sprayed with the orange's peel juice. So it's kind of hard to smell the chocolate, since it's somewhere behind everything else. But the perfume is a good one! Not fully gourmand though!

INITIAL Impression: How would I characterize Chocolate Cafe?... . Elegant Gourmand... Yes! That it. Sweet, Bright & Easy going. Sometimes perfumers have a hard time creating chocolate scents that do not come off like you feel into the chocolate river at the Willy Wonka Factory... this is NOT one of those times! To my nose the chocolate is not at all heavy. It’s present but not overwhelmingly so - kind of sits in the background until the dry down (5 -10 mins later). Masterfully blended, after a couple of hours it’s still present, but sit much closer to the skin, without much projection. That’s my only disappointment, but Chocolate Cafe is still absolutely beautiful

This got me on my knees, soOooooOooo sultry and sophisticated. Have to agree with the others that it doesn't give off that chocolatey vibes but rather more café vibes. The cardamom and nutmeg really punch through the air which is probably why it gives off the café vibes. Spicy gourmand but I would not recommend to blind buy since it can be heavy for people who prefer lighter scents.
