Ruh

I started growing roses almost 30 years ago. It was a dream. Something I love. This perfume embraces that passion. While the other notes are seamlessly woven together and harmonize beautifully, rose stands in the spotlight, but not like granny smothering you with a hug. It does it authentically. It is why I love this perfume. It feels like something I enjoy in my rose garden and get to spoil myself with; however, there is a draw back. It lacks a longevity that I long for, but while it is there, I feel bathed by it, and it is amazing. This niche, indie perfume also feels like it dances between two worlds. It reminds me of my time in India, but it also feels like it warmly embraces my home country, the US of A, too. If you are wanting to explore international perfumes beyond Lattafa and Khadlaj, etc., but you might be nervous about it, this is an excellent starting point. It is like dancing with a good lead, they guide across the dance floor and through the moves effortlessly. They do it so well that even as a newbie you could name the dance and enjoy it.

Oh my gooodnesss!! OMG! I'm someone who hated rose scents unless it was Delina Exc. Until, I sprayed rosewater on my face a few summers ago. I was also given a pure damascus rose oil. Like pure, pure organic 100% oil from the rose. It was the same rose from the heritage rosewater brand. Which... duh it list the Damasc rose as well. I searched for a scent that smelled like that. I didn't search long because I figured I would just use the oil. I didn't use it much to date. Plans to layer it with vanilla... ect. So, to get the discovery set to really focus on Rani Pink. I was incredibly surprised to test this scent. I usually write rose off at first glance. Yet, also knowing that it can be beautiful I do give those scents a chance overall. At first spray Ruh is kind've harsh. That saffron almost oud rose combo. Which I've definitely burned myself out on. Then I smelled the card about 10m later. I thought I sprayed rose water on the strip. I could tell from the projection it was a perfume. The sandalwood is very creamy. No pickles here! If you find this redundant or harsh give it a second. In fact I implore you to spray it on yourself! I'm definitely going to layer this with the oil. Its like I had to wait for this bottle to use the oil. This is a Netflix and chill scent for sure! This brand is a stunner! I also love the other scents. Shakira is a rainy day scent. Or vacation by the beach. Ruh is a mountain ski date scent. Rani is a scent for a fun date like skating or sip and paint. Beauty ritual: Wipe skin with rosewater or spray it. Depends on if you're using the bottled rosewater or spray. Apply the rose oil on top, spray Ruh over this and/or clothes.
