Miu Miu

One of my favorite perfumes. Florals typically bore me, but this one is different. My best friend and I both bought travel sized bottles as a college students in 2016 months after it came out. It felt like the perfect middle ground between the moody, dark, nighttime scents we both liked at the time and the more mature, daytime floral perfumes we’d soon wear to the office. That spring, we’d wear it to every class, every party, every walk around campus. To me it smells clean, fresh-out-the-shower, but with a personality. Neutral enough that my friend and I could wear it at the same time and you might think we just did laundry together, or shared the same shampoo, but peppery and interesting enough that it’d be notable that we both smelled that way, it’s something you’d remember. Five years later, in 2020, when I started dating my now-husband, I’d put it on before our dates. It felt right for the occasion, compared to the other perfumes in my collection—Tom Ford’s Black Orchid (too bold and dark) and Jo Malone’s Mimosa & Cardamon (too powdery and old). My husband—who has a rather sensitive nose, and who can’t stand patchouli (my favorite scent)—loves this perfume. In that way, it again feels like a bridge, a scent that perfectly connects two worlds. I have yet to find a better mix of spice and floral. I ran out of that bottle quickly and only just bought another to wear for our wedding. It was just like I remembered it: elegant but youthful, fresh but surprising. The full sized bottle is also extremely cute. One thing did change though! Miu Miu must have reformulated this perfume in the last 10 years, because it lasts significantly longer on my skin than it used to. The perfect perfume for: recent college grads looking forward to sharing an apt together in a big city, brunch with your boyfriend’s parents, loafing around in a park, getting married to the love of your life!

This is a lovely lily-of-the-valley to woody scent that would suit any woman regardless of age, profession, or personality. It is definitely a “safe” fragrance that could not possibly offend, as it sits comfortably next to the skin and is neither too green nor too fruity/sweet. As a child, I used to pick the lily-of-the-valley that grew just outside our house in a grassy flower bed. My favorite time to pick was right after a spring rainstorm when the blossoms were most fragrant. I would tie the stems end to end and drape around my neck, creating delicate “lei” fit for a queen. The scent was intoxicating and absolutely beautiful. Miu Miu does not capture this nostalgic moment entirely, because the aquatic note of the rain is not there, nor the green clover grass nearby. However, it is certainly a friendly nod to the experience. This is just a nice, clean scent. It doesn’t stand out for what is IS, but rather, for what it ISN’T. (Sounds a bit Lewis Carroll, don’t you agree?!) As so many have stated, it ISN’T a dated scent; The rose and musk are difficult to detect, just lingering in the background. It ISN’T sweet, but the fruit is there, soft and subtle. It ISN’T revolutionary, remarkable, trendy, complex, strong, delicious, offensive, creative, or even a must-have. Sure, the dry-down is quite different from the opening spray, but that's nothing new. It ISN'T bad, it ISN'T great. It’s just nice, plain and simple. And pretty. Very very pretty. P.S. If I ever find a fragrance that brings my childhood lily-of-the-valley picking memories to life, I will come back and recommend. Now THAT would be a must-have!

🗣Miu Miu Her Perfume: I Got This Bought To Me For A Christmas Present, And This Is The First Time Today Trying Out This Particular Fragrance!! And Let's Just Say That I'm Very Much On The "FENCE" About It Atm So Far, And Wether My Feelings Change Regarding It, The More I Wear And Use It, Time Will Honestly Tell!! On My Skin And To My Nose, This Deffo Smells Like A Weaker/Watered Down Version Of Christian Dior"s Classic Diorissimo Edt, (One I Really Like And Enjoy Wearing) And Miu Miu Is Actually Supposed To Be An Edp!! (Stronger) Plus I Find Diorissimo To Be Far Better Blended And Constructed, And It Seem's To Be More Full Bodied, Fresher Green, Distinctive, And Stronger Than This!! Longevity (Very Weak) Also Seem's To Be Somewhat Lacking In This Fragrance!! And In Fact Is Very Much A Let Down Tbh Thus Far!! I Deffo Also DON'T Seem To Get On Well With Any Coty Perfume Creation That Touches My Skin For Some Unknown Reason!! ie: Extremely Weak, Really Poor Longevity And Projection!! I Will However Up-Date My Review When I Wear This A Little Longer, But Somehow I Expected So Much More From This Fragrance, As The Bottle It Comes In Is Deffo Pure Undiluted Class, And Such A Beautiful Colour/Design Factor!! But So Far It's A Thumbs Down From Me Im Sorry To Say!! This Would Layer Really Well With Christian Dior's Classic Doirissimo Edt!!

What a cool, delightful little un-vintage!! This smells oldschool, it's surprising that this was released just 7 years ago, in the throes of the fruitchouli era! It smells like something out of the 50s or 60s, and the pepper in here is an unexpected facet that I'm enjoying a ton. To address the review below - I also get a good deal of pepper, but it is mentioned in the write-up here, it's a contribution from the "akigalawood". But I agree entirely, I smell *pepper* (so I'm rating that akigalawood as "very noticable"). It turns green and almost has a cucumber freshness to it, underneath the other notes. It's refreshing and piquant...at the same time. Oddly awesome! I know this composition is nothing like Tresor in general, but the type of peach/apricot smells similar (if you've happened to smell that) in the opening. It's much fainter here, but it reminds me somewhat of my lovely Tresor while it lasts, but it burns off much quicker and isn't a major player in this. The bergamot is great as well, and smells really crisp for a few minutes. It dries into a truly different, interesting, but pretty peppery, musky greenness. I'm really surprised by this, I didnt expect to enjoy it so much. It's a neat throwback sort of fragrance, and I think it'll hit the right chords in the right people. 🌿

Perfumer Daniela Andrier wanted to open doors and windows with this fragrance ,when other fragrances want to play save and follow the trend of sugary sweet gourmand and pink bottles . This one stands out destincly as bright floral . She says they wanted to make it anti pink ,,,, So what does Miu Miu smell like ? It's all about Lilly of The Valley ,very realistic and green. It smells of rose and Jasmine following in a delightful fresh and slightly animalistic way which may be coming from the Jasmine !? Then there is this new basenote called Akigalwood that has notes of pepper and patchouli and reminiscence of an oud note which makes this fragrance not only peppery and minty but also unexpected and warm and interesting in the base. The bottle is the my favourite part and I have been know to buy fragrances just for their bottles and then learned to like the fragrance ,,, with Miu Miu I was lucky enough to like the fragrance but the love came later. After several wearings I was convinced it was going home with me. It's like a modern lou Lou bottle , I just love it ! I may even go as far as getting the hair mist and shower gel. I find this fragrance simply refreshing ! I can't help to think of florabetonica by belenciaga ,,, another walk in the forest ,realistic and green,fresh and dewy.

I've come to realize this is crazy nostalgic for me. My mother did have a few lily-of-the-valley -bombs when I was growing up, but it's more than that. Actually, some preachers at the church we went to used an anointing oil that also smelt of lily of the valley. Small wonder I associated it with christian women. Smelling this I can't help but wonder if there were toys scented like this in the mid-90's. There's definitely something oddly plasticky about it but I quite enjoy it! It's campy. Ooh, actually... I could imagine this on Juno Birch. It's exactly what I'd imagine a sweet alien lady wearing to try and make a good impression on the humankind. Like it's so appropriate and classic that it comes out on the other side as quirky and kitch. It's shameless that way. Think Stepford Wives, Tim Burton pastel aesthetics, the pastel goth style (you know, like a baby version of the funerary home lilies, a little more optimistic although both are angelic in their own ways).

I'm not a LOTV fan in general, and am not a lover of fresh florals but got a sizeable lovely rollerball sample from Sephora and I must say I'm really enjoying this. It is perfect for the hot day that we're going to have. It's also far more complex than I was expecting with Lily of the Valley at the very top but it does warm up nicely and has green crunchy notes that exude a warmer base, a little narcissus smelling actually. Is this original? Absolutely not. I've smelled this in various iterations before with other "fresh" perfumes. But it's a very nice light floral fragrance with green crunchy notes. Most scents to me are unisex, but this one seems firmly "feminine" though it would be interesting to see how it develops on a guy. As a "mall frag" this one moves us away from berry-fruit hell. Very office and work appropriate with low silage. I like it and will enjoy the sample and use up, and then move on.

This to me is my all time favourite scent ! Such a unique white floral scent with the akigalawood and musk standing out from first spray . I’m not into spicy, oud , amber fragrances but love florals with base notes with woody , musky tones. This , however has that peppery smell lingering for awhile and I actually love it ! I can’t smell the fruity notes but I believe it’s in the background keeping the pepper notes in check . I have not come across a similar smelling scent that holds the florals, fruits and woody notes in such perfect balance for me . Love , love this and will always buy it during my lifetime I have Miu Miu Bleue as well but this to me is an evening scent as it’s quite heavy on me , silage and longevity is astounding whereas MM Bleue is a lighter , more citrus ( grapefruit to me ) version . It’s my go to day scent .

This is one of my favorite mainstream perfumes that has been launched in the last couple of years. It's a beautiful floral perfume that's cold and green. I've smelt a lot of variations of lily of the valley perfumes and rose perfumes over the years, but have rarely seen a combination of the two at equal strengths like I'm smelling here. There is a pronounced woodsy backbone and I can't help but think of florabontanica, because there is that little extra something pushing it beyond the frilly norm of a floral. Although, the frosted edgyness in here is just a whisper, and florabotanica is more flamboyant. If I imagined miu miu as a person I think of a emotionally detached prodigy. A very smart little girl who does everything proper. She doesn't understand the feelings of other and watches the world through curious eyes.

@Missy...Different strokes, but “buy this perfume if you hate yourself” is over-the-top, ridiculous. Your comment is a “Karen” type of comment. Personally, I LOVE this fragrance. It’s very different from what I normally wear and I didn’t think I liked this category. While it is floral, it’s the woodsy notes combined with the floral that give a natural light sweetness that I love so much. I don’t get the strong pepper that a lot of others seem to get and can understand why that would ruin this. But for me, this is so fresh (without being soapy), elegant, and the epitome of classy. I feel like this would work with a t-shirt and jeans or an evening gown. My only con, is it doesn’t last long on me, despite the amount of unscented lotion I apply beforehand. Maybe the Miu Miu lotion would help?

Thanks to smellagents giveaway i now own a bottle of Miu Miu Miu Miu. I think this is perfect for spring and summer. I've been craving green scents and this is a beautiful, fun one. It opens with lily and lots of pepper! The akigalawood is responsible for all this pepper. Soon after i can smell rose, fresh and dewy, jasmine, musk and black current. This is green, fresh, floral. It's dewy, musky in the drydown and so uplifting. It's not a serious scent. It's fun and carefree. The peppery note stays all the way to the end becoming more woody as it reaches dry down. Sillage is moderate to soft and longevity is around 5 to 6 hours. It works like magic with my skin chemistry. The lily reminds me of Haiku by Avon but this is so much more. I love it. I love this one, and I don't even care. It's all around pleasant and inoffensive, good projection, and I have special scent memories related to it. It also reminds me of summers in a Victorian cottage on Lake Michigan, reading Jane Austen on the porch. All I had was a rollerball sample from Sephora which ran out a few weeks ago, so I jumped to buy a bottle because I have a feeling this one will be discontinued soon. From the first spray of the new bottle, I am getting more jasmine, less pepper than I did previously. Would they have reformulated that quickly? I'm a bit of a fragrance novice. Either way, smells sufficient for me. I have a habit of collecting based on nostalgia. Oh, and the bottle is top 5 of all time.

Absolutely in love with this perfume! I was looking for something fresh and unique for this summer. After listening to a bunch of perfumes at Sephora, I was about to leave the shop, when the consultant asked me to try Miu Miu. The beginning was sharp floral but in 10 minutes it turned on me to soft fruity-floral scent. I do love black currant, lily-of-the-valley and jasmine notes, so I was happy to hear them. I asked for a sample and from that moment I just cannot stop using it. Definitely going for a full size bottle, once I finish the sample! I would recommend this perfume for those, who are tired of candy sweet trend almost every brand is obsessed about nowadays. And, yes, the bottle is gorgeous :))

I actually love this scent! As you can see from my profile I am new to the world of fragrances. Out of the few that I own, this one is my favorite thus far! I'm not sure what note it is, but it definitely has a peppery note at first spray. Then it settles into a citrusy green scent. The only downside is it doesn't last long (unless I spray it on clothing) and the sillage is pretty light. I wish it were a bit stronger because I love the scent so much. I agree with other reviwers in that I wish the bottle were see through, but that's just because I don't want to run out of the stuff. This is definitely a nice spring and summer scent. The next bottle I buy will be the largest size.

this was a gift for me a couple months back. i didn’t like it then, it reminded me of the perfumes i bought in supermarkets when i was younger. and duty free perfume shops in airports lol. but obviously i didn’t want to say anything 😂.. so i kept it away until today. i felt bad obviously, i wanted to give it another chance.. and i’m so glad i did. i seriously can’t imagine why i hated it so much then. this is stunning, it’s so clean and crisp.. perfectly sweet (fruity, i think it’s the peach) and i can smell all the white flowers and the leaves too. but it’s the kind i love.. it’s like freshly watered flowers 🥲💞 definitely perfect for daytimes!

Best of the floral fragrance that is green and cold. Top notes are Lily-of-the-Valley, Bergamot and Lemon; middle notes are Green Notes, Rose, Jasmine, Black Currant and Peach; base notes are Akigalawood and White Musk. The rose and lily of valley in this fragrance are totally different and the best part is the perfect combination of these two floral notes in equal strengths. Woody backbone makes it even more lovable. Classic yet vintage fragrance. love the fresh, gourmand, floral vibes that is decent and can be worn anywhere easily. Silage is moderate and the longevity is strong. Sexy! Romantic! Lovely!

This perfume is my safe go-to during spring and summer time, but I'll admit it is a perfect choice all year long. I just LOVE the combination of pepper with lily of the valley. On one hand, this creation is light, easy to wear, happy and almost simple. On the other hand, the peppery notes refine this scent, making it more complex and sophisticated. I've tried the other two newest Miu Miu and they're both as lovely, bust since they all share the same DNA I'll wait until I'm done with the first bottle of the original before adding the other beauties to my collection.

It really is quite beautiful. The opening is a *very* powerful lily-of-the-valley - wet, dewy, green - but the way it fades and softens into a clean jasmine is just lovely. Somewhere in the floral, delicately fruity middle, it starts to resemble (my beloved!) Noa Cacharel rather accurately. But it's the drydown that takes the cake. This soft heaven of musky wood...I can't say I get even a hint of the pepper that others describe, likely for the best. I'm impressed by its complexity and evolution - makes me want to spray it again and start over!

Fresh, youthful and cheerful, Miu Miu L'eau de Muguet (lily of the valley) has very prominent sparkly citrus and blackcurrant notes combined with rose and white flowers. This perfume is like YSL Babydoll, In Love Again, Victoria's Secret Bombshell Summer, but it has a unique recognisable personality. One might claim it has grapefruit or mandarin notes. I am pleased that the lily of the valley is not very obvious. It is not like Diorissimo. Someone has mentioned peppery notes. I don't smell any pepper here.

Got this as a gift from my mum as I am running out of my other main perfume. I have only worn it once yet as I'm waiting to finish the other one, but so far it's a delicious, spicy and gentle floral fragrance. Wouldn't recommend as a blind buy since it's Akigalawood base note is strong, at least for me. Reminds me of Twilly d'Hermès Eau Poivrée - peppery and powerful. For those who enjoy an oud-like projection but soft woody floral close up. Not my usual go to but I am excited to use it.
