Ideal Oud

Ideal Oud is my first Mizensir. The first notes that I can detect are rose and saffron. I somewhat can pick up some citrus in the beginning as well. The woody parts; probably oud is here; show up seamlessly bright clean warm and cozy. There is a light suede leather vibe in the dry down. All in all Ideal Oud is a transparent oud fragrance with rose and saffron in the front roles. On me, it does not project but creates an aura of scent that can only be appreciated by me and the only ones that sit next to me. So, this is definitely an office-safe scent. Light but long lasting. No beast here. It’s an angel.

Fantastic all-season all-occassion but I'd say a mature, fragrance. You cannot go wrong, fantastic scent, very strong in the opening, but settles really nicely with the rose/oud just balanced so beautifully. This is not for the young kids. Can be a daily wear, work appropriate, after hours, etc. I wouldn't grab this in fall/winter nights, just because I have other options, but would not hesitate to use. I just ordered and tested the extrait which is amazing, so I need to try more from this house.

I just can say. Classy, classy, classy. I can't fall more in love of this fragrance. Alberto Morillas is one of the best noses of the world. I will be happier if I can purchase a full-size bottle of this masterpiece. High quality ingredients, well blended and dancing notes. Woody + roses notes is what I get from the beginning and I can't stop smiling.

We all know oud has been used and abused all over the place in the recent years and maybe even got a mild fatigue with it. This is simply outstanding and classy. It has the wow factor, it has the elegance, it's got what it takes to be a signature oud based fragrance. I want it so I can feel my life is put together and moving forward with a purpose 😃

This is an amazing perfume. Easy reach. Such a beautiful blend of the rose and oud (coming from someone who doesn't like both or isn't fond of them in perfumes) Def a compliment getter! It's such a soft beast and lasts a long while (8 - 10 hrs)

This is such a beautiful rose and oud fragrance that is easy to wear. Like all of the Mizensir line, it is very elegant and would make a perfect signature scent. It is well balanced and not a heavy or overwhelming type of scent.

This is a masterpiece, in my opinion. The best rose oud combo i have tried. Its fresh but sweet. It has a glowing airiness to it. Like it sparkles. I love it

This reminds me of Dark Rose by Czech and Speake. It is a beautiful oud with rose that lasts. It changes and develops as you wear it. If you already have an oud/rose you probably don't need this but it is lovely. * Edit* As this dries down it becomes even better. It loses the slight older woman vibe and turns luxurious. This is blended so well. Even if you have an oud rose fragrance this one is worth trying if perfumes like that are your wheelhouse. I would prefer a FB of this over my DR but fragrances like this are more an exception than something I reach for often. It's good to know I have an option that is more easily accessible here in the US than DR and is even better IMO.

Somehow, this ends up smelling a bit like Oud Satin Mood by MFK. The slight difference is that OSM smells a little sweeter. This is a beautiful fragrance from top to bottom notes, very refined and elegant. I picture a beautiful Arabian princess in an opulent rose garden in the evening. The atmosphere is fragrant with rose, there’s a slight tinge of incense in the air. This is so beautiful but in a quiet, restrained way. I love it! Definitely full bottle worthy if you love Rose and Oud. I’d sample it first though, as this isn’t necessarily a safe blind buy.

Whilst I understand how this scent might be redundant, I honestly cannot criticize the scent itself. It serves its purpose appropriately, and is an extremely pleasant Oud/Rose perfume. It will certainly hint at numerous scents that fall within that category, but it is executed finely and shares the same airy and easily-worn Oud profile that Alberto concocted for Mizensir’s Oud line. A very soft and pleasant scent, though the retail pricing is certainly a point of contention for what is otherwise a common scent profile.

This is a classy, well-rounded fragrance. Based on the notes, I thought it would be a heavy oriental rose/oud bomb, but it’s not at all. In fact I wouldn’t know there was oud in it except for the name. I actually find the papyrus to be the strongest base note. Mixed with the rose, it creates a papery, smooth, autumnal scent - like pressed rose petals in an old book. It’s surprisingly elegant and refined. It’s not mind blowing but it’s a really nice perfume, perhaps a good gift for an older woman.

Not a huge stand-out in my opinion when it comes to oud/rose fragrances. HOWEVER, it is one of the cleanest oud/rose combos in my connection. Not animalic, not medicinal, perfectly blended, projects but doesn't overpower. It's the easiest oud/rose to grab without much thought in my collection bc I know this won't be offensive, even if it isn't the loudest. Easy to wear, all seasons, day or night.

A relatively fresh take on the classic rose-oud-saffron combo, not dissimilar to its sibling Perfect Oud. A soft, faintly powdery rose uplifted by the camphorous oud accord, a slight leathery undertone, plus a noticeable green vegetal quality to it similar to patchouli. Strong projection fades over 3-5hr, longevity 12h+.

Sweet roses with citrus notes on a base of transparent oud and papyrus. Truly lovely. -

Floral, light oud (if oud can be light...). Elegant. A bit animalic.

Initially I was surprised. Looking at the list of ingredients, I thought I would dislike it but the opening is very pretty, and much smoother than things to come—meaning the dry down is predictable: Oud turning medicinal with atmospheric floral and antiseptic qualities. Saffron is also stronger here, one of my least favorite notes. Liked the opening, and I’ll pass on the rest. The combination of Oud, rose and saffron means this smells like many others. I will gladly wear the sweeter MFK Oud Satin Mood over Mr. Morilla’s version. I really do not like it and I’m ready to wash it off.

Not my preferred fragrance group as I’m a white floral lover but better than I thought . Based on the notes , I thought I would dislike it but I think it works better on a male .

Very elegant. I tried perfect oud and original oud from mizensir but this one is probably my favourite. It's smooth, silky and just a really nice fragrance in my opinion. I was surprised to see vanilla here in the base notes because I didn't detect it at all so if you're a vanilla hater like me, this is safe. I understand the reviews labelling this as generic because it definitely isn't the first rose-oud combination but as a picky person, if I wanted to buy a fragrance centered around rose and oud, I would probably go for this as the oud is actually detectable unlike in most European rose-oud combos where the oud seems to be a synthetic or a woody/incense hiding in the background. Safe to say the rose and oud are actually well balanced.

yes again, the deciphering of a new perfume which begets a surprising, sympathetic fond due to repetitive sniffing of the catsprayed tiny scented spot on the back of my hand an, unannexationist oud then, an enigmatic flatness of fragrant almost flour or bready peony morphing into citruses and lest, roses in fanatical submurmur. when oud and roses are added they never go anywhere out of the perfume, may perhaps go out of phase here and there but either the laotian oud and, or the bulgarian rose isn't going anywhere as they are involved either in the etherdance of death glorified or the auto infuriative dance of life.

I agree with all the other reviewers- this a lovely rose oud combo. It is not the same as MFK Oud Satin Mood as it lacks the lovely violet but it is similar to so many other oud/roses. If you already own one, you won’t need this but if you don’t, this would be a perfect choice because the oud is present but very smooth with no animalic or barnyard smells. It lacks any distinguishing characteristics that would make it a must have for me, as I already a few oud/roses. However it is a well constructed perfume with great longevity and sillage, a little goes a long way. Unisex.
