Lavande

I have a small bottle (blue)of Les Senteurs Lavande. It's easy to wear when you want something simple and straightforward. The opening and middle are very nice, but the dry down is a bit too sweet for me. Most of the time it does not bother me. I am not sure if I will replace it. But,I do need something like this in my collection.

Pleasant day or night. Does not have much staying power. There are some interesting notes here that I can't discern. The new version has Coumarin, Lavender, Musk, Sandalwood, Vanilla. Perhaps it is similar to this version. Seems difficult to find on the internet.

this is one of my daily go-to scents. it is wonderfully mixable with spicy or musky perfumes or i like to simply wear it on it's own. i swear the dry, comforting smell of lavande sooths my senses and keeps me calm all day:)

Lavender, fresh lavender, the sort of lavender you smell from C.O. Bigelow, the perfumery shop, very nice. Aromatic, sweet, this is the kind of lavender I wanted and longed for, the sweet, comforting lavender, as opposed to the sharp, herbal cold one used in bathrooms. This is floral, sweet, sweet and gentle, the one that brings comfort and joy. There is the vanilla and perhaps that resin note, benzoin, that with the herbal freshness provides the output of the described kind of lavender. I perceive the musk and sandalwood, it gives it a base, strength and grounds it. The sage adds to the herbal and the patch to the green freshness. It is lovely when it dries, lovely, romantic, sweet, like walking through a field of lavenders, in love with your loved one your side. Wild yet homely, brings to mind the outdoors then indoors, the fields, the forests, then your bedroom, your pillows, your candles, your home. It is both masculine and feminine, a unisex fragrance. The downside is longevity, it lasts a couple of hours only, two to three perhaps and the sillage is not big, but again it is a toilette and not a parfum. Still puzzling though, as it is a well brand name, but I got body splash that endures more than this, it lasts less than an hour sometimes, with small sillage. Buy it at a discount price, clearance even, it is not worth a hefty price due to its low longevity/poor sillage quality. I got the new toilette bottle today, the bottle is heavy and the scent seems to last longer than this original, it is slightly less sweet, but I love it, it is still sweet and powdery lavender, french lavender.

Lavender from Provence, reminds me of my teens ! Cutting the lavenders in August , full of bees & the air smelled clean & fresh ! BTW, Fragrantica , it is Provence with an E not an A ! Cheers !
