Madrigal

The moment I sprayed MADRIGAL by MOLINARD on my arm, the sparkling joy of a young 1950s twentysomething dressed in a wasp-waisted Dior New Look and cancan in white with green and blue flowers burst forth. Her exultant vitality exudes a summery citrus, herbal, bubbly, country scent. The girl jumps and laughs, along the Seine Riviera, while the gentleman watches her spellbound in the distance. From her wafts a scent of lemon and tangerine, of bergamot and fresh grass. "Monsieur, avez-vous vu ce beau matin?", and she jumps and laughs like a fairy asking Puck for the liquid, to fall in love with the first person she sees. The air is filled with country scents, brought to the city, and, for once, Paris is more Light than ever. And MADRIGAL's tarragon emerges from the girl with a spicy aniseed spice that begins to mingle with the lavender from the shade of the girls in bloom. The young girl's singsong laughter is made of tarragon and lemon, verbena and lemon verbena. Fresh breath of immaculate body. Intense memory of splendor in grass and glory in flowers. More now, she sits sprawled on a green reed chair, with the insouciance that is only possible at that young age; and from her forehead emanate fine drops of sweet MADRIGAL sweat, a mixture of slightly earthy patchouli and a background of vanilla and sandalwood guerlinade. The gentleman sits next to her and inhales that scent of healthy, young and fresh skin, of bath soap and sweet, innocent illusions. The evening sun shines on the luminous skin of the young woman and the drying of MADRIGAL lulls the enamored gaze of the gentleman. A look that goes far beyond the physical union, to dissolve in a lavender and soapy floral sweetness that will live forever. Al di là del bene e del male.

I bought a small bottle(24ml) last year when I visited Molinard. I really like this fragrance, especially in the summertime. It's hard to believe that this scent was developed back in 1935 as it does not smell outdated at all. I decided to buy the 100 ml bottle recently as it has become a favourite. A fresh, but spicy scent that stays with me all day.

nice one, suited for a cozy family reunion. warm, inviting the top notes and dry-down are pretty similar to Molinard Homme III
