Muguet Eau de Parfum

In general, I'm not a lily of the valley fan. I've tried Penhaligons lotv, which my Mum adores and wears. I find it too harsh and sharp tbh. I received this as a free sample with some other Molinards...I dubiously applied some. There's a horrible acetone smell on first spray...which dies down after a few seconds. Then I was really pleasantly surprised! A delicate (but long lasting. Lasted a shower on me) floral...quite heavy on the lilac, maybe that's why I like it. I don't know why Molinard doesn't get much love, their bottles scream expensive, just gorgeous and I think their perfumes ate beautiful Really well crafted. This one is full bottle worthy for me. A big thumbs up 👍🏻

I have been intrigued by the updated line of fragrances from Molinard in the sombre purple bottles. They are very well priced and are of the same high quality as the earlier Molinards. The Lily of the valley in this fragrance is so shimmery and fresh, I thought I had just sprayed Diorissimo. The top note settles a lot faster than Diorissimo, and it doesn’t have the same killer sillage, but it’s beautiful and obviously a fraction of the price. I cannot imagine this being unisex, but these days anything goes and that’s how it should be.

Love at first sight. I've been looking for a Lily of the Valley scent, and chose Muguet after reading the reviews. I absolutely love it. Even my children love it. To me, it's a pretty straightforward Lily of the Valley all the way, that's what I was looking for, that's what I got. Would be nice if it lasted a little longer, but love it anyway.

Absolute hidden gem, absolutely unique and it is unisex, with very good performance. Lately Molinard released a lot of high quality fragrances. A rare flowery scent, something like Mugler Cologne or Fleur du Mâle that works for men, just very heavy on Lily of the valley. It is very rare, found it at Douglas.

From official website: Top: LOTV Heart: Rose, Lotus, LOTV Base: Jasmine This is the closest to vintage Diorissimo that I've encountered in a very long time. It's excellent in its simplicity. Very indolic at the beginning. Longevity is 6-7 hours, and sillage above average.

On Molinard's site they don't have lilac as one of the notes in this fragrance, yet I am smelling it lightly in this decant that a friend here gave me. But I am assuming she has the older formula because she mentioned lilacs in her review, and the older version had lilac listed in the notes. It seems that Molinard has reformulated a lot of their fragrances and the note profiles are somewhat different than what Fragrantica has here. That doesn't mean much though, because the notes are often incorrect for this site, but the bottle design is now different too, no longer with paper labels. The labels are now printed directly on glass. That aside, this smells primarily like a very sheer lotv and lilac fragrance and that's it. I don't get the other notes at all. Nor do I consider this a high-quality fragrance, and in fact found the opening a little synthetic, which fortunately goes away rather quickly. Despite these minor drawbacks, I like the simplicity of this. It's just pretty and that's it. Nothing complicated or complex. What you smell is what you get. A simple lotv and lilac perfume that's an easy wear. Even though it is a light fragrance, I was aware of it the whole time I wore it, which is not bad for a cheapie perfume. I don't know if I would buy a bottle as I still have a few wears from this decant, but since it is very different from my favorite lotv scent, Diorissimo, and since it can be found so cheaply, it might be in my future.

This is just plain pretty! Not a lot going on, but if you want a very clean, green lily of the valley softened just a bit by lilac, then this is for you. It makes me feel girly and feminine. Having never tried the queen of all LotV perfumes, Diorissimo, I can not compare the two. Maybe someday I will, but in the meantime I am happy to own this one and will reach for it often. Molinard is quickly becoming one of my favorite fragrance houses. EDIT - I now own several vintage versions of Diorissimo, and it is indeed superior. However, I still reach for this one. I am going to see if it helps boost my Dioressence EDC, which still smells good but a bit faded. If you love LotV, I'd say buy both. But if you only want one, seek out vintage Dioressence. Haven't tried the most recent edition, but it has only declined in quality over the years, so you be the judge.

At first spray, it's a nostril-puncher... acerbic, brash, and a little cheap smelling - but 15 minutes in, it calms down considerably. It is lightly heady, fresh and feminine. I would not call this unisex. After about an hour, it is gentle floral musk, with a slight powdery background. Any fresh green quality is gone at this point, and it becomes much warmer and thicker, revealing almost a vintage potpourri vibe. At this point I've lost interest. This isn't for me. I don't really get lilac from this, but I could see how others could pick it up. 3 hours in, and it is a touch cloying but otherwise unchanged from the 1 hour mark. I don't care for it, but I imagine on someone else, this would be lovely.

received today my blind buy tester. I'm really very impressed. Such a natural pleasant smell!! Longevity OMG. Perfect for any weather as for me and layering. Really impressed with this one, especially for such an affordable price! This scent is simple yet very interesting like you can't get enough. Not to heavy, not too much, yet will a good sillage. Bottle is amazing as well. Tester is just the same as original one.

It's like waking up in the morning on the wet grass, surrounded by millions Lily of the valley. Very beautiful and very true to nature scent. Great longlivity and good silage. At first it was strange to feel Lily of the valley on my wrist, but later, as I was running after my kid it was a pleasure to feel this scent surrounding me.

The synthetic opening is mild and goes away pretty quickly, leaving a very uplifting and elegant lily of the valley scent. The lily of the valley note here is watery and almost a bit ozonic. I am guessing it is the lotus in the mix. It is a bit linear but very versatile for any occasions and weather. A great layering agent.

Very nice, very simple, very linear lily of the valley scent. It's pretty, but a tad too simple for my taste.I wouldn't call it unisex: it's very girly. Lots of lilac as well: extremely flowery and also quite strong. A pretty thing, and that's all.

Rich white floral...smooth. Classy and formal. Natural and well blended per usual Molinard. Leans feminine. Not for me, but an interesting one to try for women 30s and up. Scent: 7 / Sillage: 6 / Longevity: 7

I got an unboxed bottle from Ebay and for a long time thought I had the Edt. But seeing the notes here I am fairly certain I have the edp. The lilac note is prominent, so if you are not a lilac fan you may want to try the edt. Having grown lily of the valley myself, I'd say this is a good but not perfect rendition of the plant's delicate scent. Smelling this up close I can sense a chemical...aftertaste (?) in the back of my throat. From a distance it's more pleasant. Longevity is surprisingly good for a muguet perfume, I can smell whiffs of it on clothes after quite a few hours. EDIT: unfortunately the sharp, unpleasant chemical note dominates the dry down after about 12 hours.

If you don’t like Diorissimo you won’t like this. Both are absolutely stunning but give me instant headache with the LOTV

I really enjoy the Molinard edp line it's great value, but I'm not too fond of this one. A strong mix of florals here that smells a bit too synthetic to my nose. In the open its almost like stepping into a room where paint is drying. In the drydown that does calm down and just has a strong musky feminine floral feel. I guess I was hoping to get a somewhat fresher lily-of-the-valley like Aqua Universalis, but alas no. Not for me this one.

I keep putting this on hoping that I'll like it, but I think Lily of the Valley just isn't for me. Something about it smells very dated to me, and it's really screechy. I looking for something smooth and fresh to wear in the spring months, but this has a strange, synthetic, "new shoes" sort of smell. I'll try it again when the weather warms up to see if I change my mind, but I suspect I'll be swapping this one.

Muguet by Molinard is a straightforward lily of the valley soliflore. It captures the clean, delicate essence of muguet but may come across as too simplistic for those who prefer more complexity in their fragrances. Unlike Diorissimo by Dior or Muguet Fleuri by Oriza L. Legrand Muguet by Molinard remains a bit too plain.

This is straight up Lily of the valley perfume I tried to like it but it wasn't for me it also didn't last long enough and the opening was chemically brutal for me. still if you are a lover of lily of yhe valley this can be a great choice

I blind bought this a while ago. I can't smell any lily-of-the-valley at all! I smell mostly rose and lilac in a very old fashioned way. I gave it to my mother.

Too old fashioned for my taste, i prefer yves rocher’s muguet

In my quest to truly understand lily-of-the-valley (educating my nose is quite the expensive enterprise), I purchased this bottle. So now I know. I also know I don't love LOTV. It is pure, white soap on my skin, and even a tiny amount blew out my ability to smell anything else for hours--I'm not into soapy, white florals that seem to linger in your nostrils like a headache's foul dream, but if you like soap, if you enjoy smelling clean and fresh, there is a kind of elegance here.

I had been looking for a lilac fragrance to complement my Eclat D’Arpege, but Muguet stinks of something between tire rubber and gasoline. Disappointed is an understatement

I love, love this! Lily of the Valley and Lilacs are a few of my favorite scents that I feel like get overpowered by other notes a lot. This smells just like putting Lily of the Valley right up your nose. A perfect spring scent for me!! The rose note does come through stronger than you would expect on the dry down, which I personally don't love but don't feel overwhelms the scent. I'm just not huge on rose. In my opinion, it's a pretty strong scent. If you don't really like Lily of the Valley, this might be something that gives you a headache. I also want to note that I'm in my 20s, so I really don't think it's exclusively "for older women."

I can smell lemon drops and lily-of-the-valley, even though nothing citrusy is mentioned in the description. It is simple, clean and bright from beginning to end. I like wearing clean scents to bed, but not this one as the lemony note makes it too energizing. It's definitely a mood booster for me. It might be too simple for flashy socializing events, but this is the best part of it - it's as cozy and personal and nostalgic as the nanny from your childhood that always had those exciting stories to tell and kept you engaged in fun activities. I could see Mary Poppins wearing Muguet.

The first blast smells green and chemically but after 5 minutes the chemical smell disappears and I’m left with a fresh green smell with light smelling rose and lilac.Not listed in the notes but I’m getting a sandlewood type smell in the background.Very fresh and clean smelling I’m thinking the green smell is the lotv.This perfume definitely leans more feminine.All in all I’m very happy with this perfume it’s fresh lightly floral with a bit of woodiness perfect for spring and summer I think.Looking forward to trying more from Molinard in the near future

This is straight up lily of valley on me, and it’s beautiful. I get a little lilac too, but only because I looked on fragrantica and saw it listed. It’s comforting like the way a blanket can be; not too loud or surprising, very cozy and nurturing. Good Molinard quality as expected. If you are a LotV fan, it’s a must check out. I won’t add it to my collection because I already have far too many perfumes for several lifetimes, but this is a good one. And I love that purple bottle.

Got a tester of this a few weeks back and tried it today. The scent I'm getting is predominantly lily-of-the-valley, with some indeterminate green and floral notes. It's a very proper, old-lady scent on me. I feel like I should be wearing gloves and going to tea. It's very strong--I sprayed 2 very small spritzes on my neck and it's still going strong 9 hours later. This is not a scent for me, but check this out if you're a lily-of-the-valley fan.

Crappy synthetic Lilly of the valley. Wasted $35 on a blind buy.... As many are, because I heard they can't distlil lilly of the valley as they don't have enough oil I ordered a 5ml of Guerlain Mouget. Guerlain are the masters, especially when it come to florals. Lilly of the valley is a hard one to make natural smelling. So this is OK I guess, as run of the mill, lilly of the valleys go. Rating: 7/10 God bless. John 3:16

Very lovely lily of the valley perfume that performs better than the bottle of Diorissimo that I purchased a year ago . Diorissimo has been thinned down significantly in sillage and the longevity is not great for such an expensive perfume . This is just as pretty (!) and far less expensive and has good longevity . It smells very pretty and is perfect for spring and summer and is a good value .

I'm really curious about this one in terms how it could be unisex if it only used floral scents usually associated with ladies only perfumes? But again, this is the same Molinard that made totally unexpected and stunningly beautiful Vanille Marine that is perfectly suited for gentlemen. And could please even such (generally) marine scents hater as me. I'll definitely look around for tester!

This one is my top of the Lily of the Valley scent! I never thought that this will gave me a lot of fantastic vibes. When I worn this I can hear the sound of lily of the valleys are growing around my feet. It was so pure, beautiful and elegant to me. If someone asking me what is the most beautiful lily of the valley scent, I will telling to them to buy this one.

I'm thrilled that I found this. Not exactly the tiny bottle of Coty Muguet des Bois of my childhood, but close enough and realistic enough to actual lily of the valley flowers to scratch that nostalgic itch for me. As some others have mentioned, I'd suggest applying it lightly, though, as it is quite concentrated.

I have a 2ml decant and I find it very true to the natural smell of lily of the valley, it is the most long lasting one as well. On my skin it did not develop nicely but on clothes it is true LOTV. I prefer Cartier ́s Muguet as it agreed better with my skin, but did not last as long as Molinard ́s Muguet.

Nice, but it's mostly sweet lilas. Lily of the valley is noticeable, but certainly not that potent. Longevity and sillage are outstanding, but if you look for some fresh naturalistic lily of the valley flowers, this shouldn't be your choice.

Muguet is like smelling a bouquet of lily of the valley. A beautiful soli floral. For me though it has a dark association, like white funeral flowers. I love it more, not less.

Sorry, guys but the name of the perfume is ‘Muguet’. What were you expecting to smell like? ‘Too much Lily of the valley’, ‘straight up lily of the valley’, well, duh.

Eau de Funeral Home + Eau de Easter Sunday + the luncheon served after either occasion in the backyard under a lilac tree. I mean, if that's your vibe, go for it.
