Cool Buchu

I found this a few years ago, for next to nothing in a TJX store (Marshalls I believe) and got this EDT with a face scrub and postshave moisturiser. It was not anything all that earthshattering, but it was very nice. I had it before I began collecting and intensely studying perfumes and colognes, but I used every last drop of it...and, sadly could find no more:-( This is a very cool scent, indeed. It reminds me of Cool Play by Lacoste (or should I say Cool Play reminds me of this?), only this is more sheer and cool, and less playful... Tangerine adds some sweetness, but remains bright and clear as it is warmed by cardamom and simultaneously cooled by the mint. Not vapory like wintergreen, but smooth and soft like spearmint. This could just as easily been called "Smooth" as Cool. This also has a somewhat slightly green leafiness throughout that is so nice. The cardamom is more sharp here, than overtly spicy. The cedar gives it a dry elegance and refinement that is very British, very clean and gentlemanly. This is something an English lord might definitely sport while riding horses at the country house, on summer holiday. Worth having: clear, brisk and refreshing... Sillage: Close to fair Longevity: average Overall: 3/5 Nothing to write home about, but nice enough to WEAR home for a family dinner or function. This will not offend anyone, and unless you spray heavily you may not even receive any compliments. Something light and spartan with an overall bright aura to it. Get it...but don't pay full retail.

Like, like, like (not love). Brings to mind the orignal Dunhill in the brown box, but not as svelte. More realistic in its presentation of its earthy elements. Very birchlike. Quality from top to bottom.

This is a very basic scent. Cardomom and cedar really comes through. It's unexpected as a scent given the bottle makes it look like a cooling scent. It's very warming. But oh my, the performance is utterly terrible. Can smell it close to my skin but zero sillage. I'd suggest this is a very inoffensive gift to a man you don't know

Nice scent. Smells minty fresh. It reminds me of Lacoste Booster but better. Very subtle and refreshing scent.
