Wild Mint & Lavandin

I love it, but I’m a sucker for mint notes in perfumes. To me it is a perfect scent for summer. Spray it on skin and a white shirt and you will feel put together and fresh. When you first spray it you can feel a cooling sensation from the mint. As the lavender kicks in the vibe is more medicinal, herbal, but in a good way. Nevertheless, I wouldn’t recommend blind buying.

Saw and tried this randomly as I passed the Molton Brown section, eye was instantly drawn to the Mint and Lavender label. An uncomplicated fragrance that balances between lavender and the fresh green scent of mint, very pleasant, smells like you have just walked into a luxury spa. Would categorise this as unisex, would genuinely smell good on anyone, and not feel overly gendered which I would say is this fragrances' greatest virtue. The only thing that made me pause with this was the price, €150 for just 100ml of the eau de parfum, this is overpriced while not providing any noticeable reason for it to be.

Just a quick first impression after sampling both on paper. EdT is more mint, breezy light and very fleeting. EdP is more lavender and has at a least a bit of heft to it. Also nutmeg. Both are light and short-lived fragrances, but the EdP I might give a wear to. The notes for both of them are the same according to Molton Brown's website: Mint, lavandin, orris root, nutmeg, tonka bean.

Hello, 5 minutes of sweet minty shower gel, gone, dissipated like a soap bubble, my skin has lost it too, goodbye... Performance, they are taking the proverbial, oh dear dear dear dear dear dear dear.

Oh dear. It doesn’t smell like poop, piss, dirty animals or stinky Oud. Everyone will hate it. Heaven forbid one would smell clean!
