Criminally underrated! Monotheme as a brand, I believe is extremely underappreciated. They are one of the brands which puts out decent quality fragrances which absolutely does not hurt your wallet and you may spray n no. of sprays without regret. This in my opinion is a barbershop, gentlemanly fragrance which speaks sophistication and class. This is a dirt cheap fragrance which smells 10x it's price. Can be dressed up or down and this surely brings that classy nuance irrespective of your attire. May not be the best natural smelling or use the best of the ingredients, monotheme cedarwood certainly doesn't disappoint. It's a dumb reach all year round fragrance. You cannot necessarily make out all the listed notes but it does seem well blended and has a sweetness to it. It's cool and warm at the same time making it the all year round fragrance. The presentation is great for the price. Coming from the natural collection, the bottle green and the simplistic design surely complements the scent. One of the best sprayers I must say, almost pressurized ( not seen in the biggest of brands) The cap is a bit on the loose side, doesn't click into place well and longevity ofcourse isn't insane. 2-3 hrs max, helps to put some on clothes, you may occasionally catch a few whiffs (smells amazing). I use it for a quick errand, sit at home sort of situations and definitely can be worn to a few occasions. Again, I bet we already have much better fragrances for all those instances. A must try and doesn't hurt to add it to ones collection.

I am really enjoying this fragrance. It was an impulse buy but I'm so glad I picked it up. I was a devotee to Bvlgari omnia (the original discontinued one) and this ticks a lot of the same boxes with the pink pepper and bergamot top notes and that woody base coming through. It isn't quite as bold as omnia was. It sits fairly close to the skin, but I still get wafts of it 8 hours after applying. It is noticeable on my clothes the next day. It wouldn't fill the room in terms of sillage, but anyone standing close to you would be able to smell it. The initial spray was a little harsh, but very quickly it settles into a warm and spicy scent. For the price point ($15 AUD at CWH currently august 2024, usually $25) you can't go wrong if you enjoy woody spicy scents.

Monotheme's Cedarwood kinda smelled like another one of their fragrances, Cocoa Beans did when I first tried it. Now, a full two days later, it seems to smell a lot more cedar inspired. Smells a bit like the farm an old friend's parents live on. The property had a small forest-like area where trees would grow, and loggers (I think that's what they were) would come to chop them down and new trees would grow in their place. I remember the first time I went to their house and we'd go for rides around the property on a quad bike (it was huge) and I was mystified by the mini forest. The next time I was there it was all tree stumps, which was mildly depressing. But it smelled like this does.

Just rediscovered this one, its nice and herbal and also has the rose and lavender which makes it feel like a beautiful body lotion or face cream. It's definitely doing well in very warm Queensland spring season. But I have been wearing it to work and its inoffensive. Easy reach for everyday wear. Had monotheme Mediterranean coast before and loved it. Monotheme are good on a budget.

Poor quality chemical Cesar unfortunately
