Cocoa Beans

At first I wasn’t vibing with this. Just smelt of baby powder. It’s actually a really nicely composed somewhat simple scent. It has a warm lactonic powdery cocoa bean and I love it. It’s not straight up chocolate more like a cozy milky sweet hot cocoa with a faint marshmallow dry down. This is really light and fades quite fast but it’s perfect for a spritz after the shower and just before bed. It’s comforting, soft, light and cuddly kisses 😘

A lovely creamy scent. Many perfumes give me a headache but this is warm without being sickly sweet, deep without being overwhelming and has a freshness to it that's not too sharp. Its scent has lasted a long time on my skin and it's sillage is not overpowering for me.

I bought this perfume cuz I liked the bottle a lot but I was actually looking for a scent like this for sooo long. The pear, jasmine and the cocoa are the strongests notes in it. It's a nice perfume and worth the price.

This was a great blind buy. My only gripe about this fragrance is that the top note of pear doesn't stick around long enough which is such a shame because what a JUICY pear. It's sweet and warm without being overripe or candied, and the pink pepper sends it towards savoury. To the gourmand lovers: this is not a chocolate-cocoa smell. The cocoa here reminds me of when the pods have just been harvested and the beans still have the pulp on them (which is very yummy btw). The white flower bouquet is uninspired, and it transitions awkwardly between mid and base notes, but the dry down is lovely and warm. This would be a soothing fragrance for a spring or summer evening casual event. Sillage and projection are moderate; the longevity is fine for the price point at about 3 hours

Baby powder? ... Yeah. I mean I really wasn't expecting it, but this really does have that effect. For me, pear and tuberose are the most noticeable notes and I suppoooose this does smell a little bit like cocoa powder, but only if it was cut with baby powder. It's nice, though. I feel I'll get a lot more use out of this in the winter times or as a layering fragrance. I actually find this, and Honeysuckle, to be quite strong fragrances on me despite others saying it's weak. It lasts, too. Granted, lately I've been having exceptional luck with fragrances when I apply them sparingly. Or maybe it's my body lotion. Or both. Spray this on a jumper and it sticks to it like glue. Try before you buy, honestly. It can go wrong depending on what your expectations are.

I tried it in M&S and it smelled very lovely. I wanted to buy it so bad but the smell goes away almost immediately. I kept spraying and it would barely last a minute. I even smelled some coffee beans available to clear my nose and NOTHING. It's honestly so frustrating because it's such a lovely creamy scent but it doesn't last and you'll be basically just wasting your money if you buy it.

The scent itself I've been told smells marshmallowy on me, but it can only really be detected by anyone else if oversprayed a bit, does not last well but the scent itself is nice! Not the traditional cocoa-ish scent that you think of, but more of a green pod version, still nice! Sweet, powder-marshmallowy and dries down to a bit of a dirtier forest scent.

This is pretty bad lol. I blind bought it on a whim because it was the local equivalent of $12US and I like the other Monotheme scents I've tried. They're simple but they smell convincingly like their name. Not this. The other reviews saying baby powder are spot on. It's got a very powdery floral opening, the kind of smell you'd get from a cheap hand cream, including that slightly rancid bitterness you get after it's been sitting around for a few years. Maybe that bitterness is supposed to be the cocoa? It's very slightly better on the drydown but given there's almost no longevity, that's not exactly worth the wait.

I have two others from this line and while neither of them is very long lasting they are fun spritzes and likable. However I am very disappointed with this 'cocoa bean' fragrance. I know these are cheap, but this is just not even worth 15$. It smells like cheap shampoo or soap maybe AND then it's gone and smells like almost nothing fast. This is very weak generally and weak in longevity and projection. Post -edit- I tried it a few times and it didn't get better. I gave this away. Blah.

A scent so elusive, it's the perfect bottle for those who live by ‘less is more’—and by ‘less,’ I mean nothing at all. Totally inoffensive. You won’t smell it, but hey, neither will anyone else! Wear what you want. No labels needed.

Not good... I was just curious about it, and cause I love the monotheme tuberose, so tested it in the drogerie. I'm not a perfume expert so I don't know what's wrong with it exactly, and just a subjective opinion, but maybe the patchouli and pear kills it. It's like a deep leathery scent, but the pear intrudes in the harmony.

This should be called Patchouli.
