Lime

A little too much neroli and petitgrain, which overshadows the lime for me. I’m forever on the hunt for single note, linear type citrus scents, which are hard to come by. Like previous reviewer Swedishmilk15, I also remember Bath & Body Works Limelight. There was also one from around 2000-2001 called Fresh Ginger Lime, which I still have, and wish this smelled like (it wasn’t quite as sharp and bracing as this one). I like it, but I’m still searching for a lime scent that smells like mostly just lime.

It's not a lime, but it definitely smells like kumquat leaves when you rub them in your hands, or try to peel an unripe kumquat, adding a bitterness to the sourness of the citrus family. My grandfather had a row of kumquat trees in front of his house, and the smell from memory probably took it from an 8 to a 9.5 for me. And the price I got is ridiculously cheap, I bought 4 full bottles of Monotheme perfumes for only $30 from a local seller.

I've been searching for a replacement for B&BW Limelight since the 90s. I have this coming in the mail; I hope it delivers actual lime. If not, I might go the way of the reviewer who decanted and added more lime. What a good idea for a cheapie! Update: I layered it with B&BW Limoncello and together it's quite close to how I remember my beloved Limelight 💚

This is soooo pretty 😍. The opening is quite juicy and sharp but then it becomes the most beautiful sweet citrus ever!!!! I even feel like this fragrance has fresh linen vibes. Amazing perfume with supper affordable price. And the lasting power (when considering its composition) is great 4-5 hours.

I think this is a really great inexpensive choice for the citrus lover in your life. It’s a great big burst of lime at the beginning and does dry down to a more creamy clean lime but if you go heavy on the sprays (like 3 per wrist) you can get a lot of longevity out of the zesty lime note from the beginning. The projection is really gentle so over application works to build up the overall longevity as well. I’ve also tried the lemon from this line and they’re both pretty. It makes me curious to try more of their offerings. Overall 8/10

Zesty lime. Juicy, sharp and refreshing. It is bright and bold. Remarkably cheap. $20 Australian for 100 mls. Bottle is pretty.

Feels watery instead of zesty. And not like aquatic, but like the carrier is water. The projection is very low. As for the smell, it's lime-ish. Kind of like a lime frozen popsicle. I can tell that the goal is lime, but the outcome isn't particularly realistic. Kind of has a cola type of thing going on too. It's a little soapy and the bulk of the background is cedar/pencil shavings with nods to neroli. After about 30 minutes that's mostly all I get. That all doesn't sound very pleasant, but I don't feel negatively about the scent. From what I can smell, which is minimal because it's very light, it's decent. Would probably be a reasonable reach for the hottest of hot days or when you don't want to smell strongly.

Neroli, green leaves and lime pith. I really wish there was lime juice in here, but it’s like the oil and the peel. I absolutely agree with the review that states it smells like lime but needs more lime! It’s nice, dries down to smell like a fancy soap or body lotion and is very similar to Zagara from this same line. Both very green, citrus peel and orange blossom / neroli soap. They’re both pretty but I wish there was more focus on the juice inside the fruit and less on the peel, florals and leaves! It’s also very light indeed and doesn’t last long despite being described as an edt - this is weaker than most cologne sprays I have!

A pretty Cologne that smells like limes yet needs more lime. An ephemeral and soft perfume, flowery and not bracing. OK so not really a traditional cologne. Reminds me of Chopard's Happy trio. I will decant this and zhuzh it up with lime and an herb note because I want lime cologne. Monotheme offers some delightful EDTs (Patchouli Leaves, Vetiver Bourbon). I wouldn't pay more than 15 bucks, then you'll probably like it too.

Zesty and musky. Intial blast of cut lime fruit followed by honey-flowery linden heart . It concludes with musky, soapy neroli. Fresh, sunny and apparently natural. I truly admire Monotheme as a brand - down to earth, affordable with legitimate quality. I just wish the cap is wooden, but the signature bottles are pretty nonetheless.

Best 12 bucks I’ve ever spent. A couple years ago I went on a Neroli/Citrus/Citrus Blossom mission searching for ones that smells like when I’m pruning my citrus trees. This and Gucci’s Fiori de Neroli are the two best I’ve found. Polar opposite ends of the price spectrum. 😑

This is nice but non-existent, not even 1h, shame.
