As This ALWAY'S Seems To Happen To The Best Perfumes Around, And Those That Give Us The Most Wonderful Memories Ever!! And To Think That I Went Through Soooooo Many Bottles Of This In My Youth, And Alway's Asked What Fragrance I Was Wearing, And That I Always Smelt Absolutely Devine!! This Was Also The Same Case When I Wore KL - Sun,Moon & Star's!! Again It Was A Truely Stunning Perfume That Sadly Vanished Into Thin Air!! I Alway's Remember The Stunning Heavy Blue Glass Bottles, That These Came In, And The Air Of Quality That Surrounded You The Moment You Sprayed Either On!! (KL's Sun,Moon & Star's Is Actually Used And Features In The Film "Only You"!! Starting Robert Downey Jr., And What I Would'nt Give To Own Another 100ml Bottle Of It Again!!! Simply Two Of The VERY Best Perfumes Ever!! "Gone But Certainly NEVER Forgotten"!!!!

Smells like the early 90's in the best possible way. Hangs on to a bit of 80's chypre but with a sunny and warm quality. Like a downpour on a HOT, HOT summer day, one where it rains but doesn't cool the air. Like you'd been in the pool and had to run inside because of lightning. Now you return, and there's bees buzzing around your open can of Fruitopia. The gardenia you picked and tucked into your hair earlier is starting to wilt, next to your soaking beach towel. You should probably shower off the tanning oil before you go out, but it's too hot, so you throw a dress on over your swimsuit & head to a local dive bar to soak up some air conditioning. I love it. To update: after looking at the notes of Davidoff Cool Water, I wonder if that's what is lingering in the back of my brain when I smell this, triggering my 90's flashbacks! I'm going to have to sniff n' compare, as Cool Water would be much cheaper, and easier to find!

I currently possess 7 bottles of this, in various sizes. It became my signature in the 90's for pubbing, clubbing, football matches, dressed up, dressed down, school runs, in fact, I lived in it. It's an aquatic sweet green bomb, with jasmine, patchouli, and sandalwood on dry down. I've never been able to exactly replicate how it smells on me with any other frag. But it's now well over £100 for a larger bottle if I find it in the wild. And so, for me to safely have this for the rest of my life, I must only wear it as the occasion fits. Which is usually when I'm wearing a skin tight floor length black dress, rocking a pair of high boots, and ready to swing my very long hair to music!

This frag was so lovely! Green, fresh but creamy and powdery too. I seem to recall the Body Shop has a similar frag for a while, but the name escapes me. It was in a slender bottle of deep blue frosted glass... Which of course is discontinued also. :/ Both were beautiful. Edit: The Body Shop 'dupe' (I use the term loosely as we are talking over 20 years ago!) was called Scent of a Woman au lait. Basically perfumed body milk in a spray bottle. I have a bottle, and it was from a similar era, and it's not aged well due to it being more of a lotion than a perfume. If anyone is old enough to remember Anne French cleansing milk (80s/90s), it smells a lot like that!

In the UK I use to buy this perfume in the shop called MONSOON. I am not sure if it has been discontinued. Luckily I have found today 2 bottles tucked away in my wardrobe. I have now rediscovered this lovely perfume.

Oh,my!!!Went to pharmacy today to buy a pack of tissues...you know those little forgotten pharmacies in the middle of nowhere...Behind some classics I caught a glance of an old blue box❤. £17 well spent.I'm so happy

I like to pop back here every couple of years, only to see if anyone has discovered a decent dupe, or if by some miracle Monsoon have brought this back. *sigh*

I loved this perfume & I long for some more but sadly it's been discontinued in the UK :-( it's really punchy & robust with a citrus floral type smell.

Loved the smell, loved the bottle - perfect when I was in my 20's.

The scent of cement in sunshine after a heavy downpour. Made my merry way through multiple bottles of this delightful scent in my teens and adored wearing it with flowing ankle length floral skirts, generally in tones of blues and greens. There's an air of freedom and nature conjured by this scent and to this very day I've found nothing comparable. An aquatic floral with zero calone. An earthy, mossy, leathery nuanced aquatic, soapy floral with a warmth that blossoms with wear. I owned a retro tailored denim blazer with a faux fur collar that I wore to death in the nineties, the collar and wrist cuffs of which were permanently permeated with this wondrous scent. The staleness of it only added to the earthiness wear upon wear. One week spent at one of my mother's friend's homes solely to mind their house while they were away. The unfamiliarity of their street, their town, the bed where I laid my head. Otherworldly and at odds with the life at home that I knew. I emerged like a frog from a pond and became a forest nymph when I applied this particular perfume and tottered around this unknown land feeling like the suffering Ophelia, with my wrists upturned.... to my nose. Upon reflection: I am wearing Ange ou Demon today and noticed that it (the lily note here?) shares something with Monsoon. This might be a consideration for others when on the lookout for a scent to "replace" Monsoon. A lover of one could easily be a lover of t'other.

I had this as a teenager, the first perfume I bought for myself. I'd forgotten about it till smelling l'Eau d Issey this morning, it reminded me of something but it took me ages to put my finger on what. It was this, Monsoon. I can't remember exactly what it smelt like, but there's definitely a link between the two, somewhere in that creamy green-ness.

People older than I am seem to love this one but for me it's just too creamy.

I wish they would bring this back with the same smell from the 90s, I don't think COTY can, because I think a bunch of ingredients have been banned, but I grieve for the chance to own this. THIS is the perfume that got me into fragrance. I was 6 when this came out, that is how long this perfume has had a hold on me. I prayer for the day I can own a bottle. I never got the chance, because I was 6 lol, but I check the net every few months to see if a bottle is available, and I hope to find one 🤞. I really, truly hope COTY bring Monsoon back with its original fragrance formula one day. I know it will never happen, but hey, it happened with MAC recently, and a girl can dream, right?

Reminds me of summer holidays as a teenager, being in the pool, playing tennis, riding our bikes to the store to get baguettes for dinner, going to this place for the most enormous, unhealthy pancakes I've ever tasted, exploring the outdoors....I wore this all summer long for a good few summers until I could no longer find it. It does indeed smell like a sudden monsoon in a tropical summer heat. I wish I could have a bottle just for the nostalgia. Please someone bring this back or make a dupe!!! 🙏
