Oud Pashmina

Just received this perfume. It was a blind buy based on reviews and I can say it is 90% what I expected. Initial spray is a bit stronger on rose and oud, I would say 60% rose, 40% oud (a bit animalic, but just in the beginning). Later rose goes down to background supporting oud. So main note here is oud, but after 15-60 minutes oud becomes warm, sweet but not syrupy. Imagine animalic oud sweetened with rose while at same time a bit powdery thanks to vanilla and rounded with slight musk in background. Overall profile I would call dark/luxurious/warm/sweet - bottle color is accurate describing it’s scent IMHO. Now if you know Montale - Honey oud and Mancera - Aoud vanilla. Honey oud is more manly and sweeter, not that powdery. Comparing to AV it is more animalic, if AV is warm cozy, then Pashmina is for more mature public, more animalic. Overall it is at the same time animalic oud and not, that vanilla make it more relaxed, rose make it a bit sweet, but not too much and musk makes it more sophisticated and more elegant. I would recommend it for those who are familiar with ouds. Scent 9/10 Longevity 8/10 (Montale scale) Sillage 7/10 Overall 8.5/10 (I marked it Love, and would rate it higher if longevity would be better)

Wow, honestly wow. Montale blends oud so darn smoothly: its nutty, dark-woody and so velvety. And lasts a heck of a long time. I'll keep it short and sweet: This is a sophisticated, high-quality fragrance where oud is the star. But it's not skanky, animalic or smoky. Rather it's so well-blended, incense/leather-like and reminds me of historical grandiose European palaces...specifically the natural scent lingering in the interiors, minus the mustiness of course. If you've ever gone traveling around the grand palaces of Europe, I feel as if the 'Oud Pashnima' is inspired from that sort of concept. This isn't a sweet vanilla, rose combo. Not sweet at all. More of just a surprisingly smooth and complex oud with leathery undertones. Move along 'Oud Bouquet'! Masculine, intriguing, classy. Highly-recommended for velvety oud lovers.

Another Montale, another oud fragrance. I think Montale is generally a good brand when it comes to oud-based fragrances. They can create scents that smell animalic, almost like a horse stable, as in Black Aoud, but they can also make more elegant oud fragrances like this one. In this fragrance, rose and oud are dominant, and I can also smell a little bit of leather. I usually do not like leather notes at all, but here it is not as heavy as you might expect. The leather note is not listed on this page, but I can definitely detect a slight leathery touch. Overall, it is a decent winter fragrance, especially if you want a high-performance scent at a lower price point. It could be a good choice. Beast mode. Beautiful fragrance. I am not familiar with a lot of Montale's offerings, but I would say everything I have tried is beast mode. I think this might be redundant if you already own some Montale Oud's from what I have read. I don't own any, but wish they did more in the 50 ml size as they are so strong. I am almost 60 and wouldn't use it up before I die. I shall have to check the Montale website, but every stockiest I see online only has the 100 ml sizes.

This is closer to Oud for Greatness than it is to Ombre Nomade, and I do not like Oud for Greatness. I have to admit though that I only have an official Montale Sample, not a full bottle. I have and really like my other 15 Montale full bottles far more than this one, hard pass for me. That Initio resemblance is off putting to me, but if you like that scent profile, by all means, this better blended and a better value overall than OFG.

Lush velvety spicy with a sweet rose that leans more towards red wine. A bit of musk and vanilla, but the main one here is oud and it`s very prominent. I would not compare it to Ombre Nomade by LV (which is also way overpriced), but if I had to, Oud Pashmina is much sweeter and less balsamic. If anything it smells more towards Oudmazing, Starry Night, and Aoud Sense by Montale. Recognizable Montale DNA, good projection. 10/10

Beautifully done. The notes are blended well to be a stand alone fragrance while getting the LV Ombre Nomand vibe. I'm not sure about this but the bottle states I received 3.4 oz or 100 ml and it seems half that at best. Every 100 ml bottle every I ever received was much larger and even heavier. I realize it's in an aluminum can which should change to a bottle in my opinion. Thoughts on this point? Overall I give it 9/10.

This is like the sweet part of LV Ombre Nomad. Oud is very light here, a little bit smoky but not challenging at all. I've smelled some ON clones, this reminds me of those, Royal Night in particular, but less smoky and more mass appealing. It doesn't remind me of Oud for Greatness, nor More Than Words. More Than Words has a sharp, nail polish like fruity oud and more sour roses, Oud Pashmina is rounder and very sweet.

Oud Pashmina serves as a gorgeous and sophisticated musky oud/vanilla/rose combo. Due to the musk and very dry oud in this fragrance its very different from the many oud/rose combos out there. It remains light and airy but does not lack in longevity and projection. This fragrance is also surprisingly versatile for me and could be worn any evening. Rating: 8.5/10 - Greatness!

Man, is this nice. Rose and oud combo, not animalic at all. On initial spray, seems like it might be heading into OFG territory, but turns into its own think quickly as it dries down. Sweet, jammy, with leather and woodiness in the background. Beautifully blended. Definitely worth the price. I just wish Montale bottles didn't look like old hairspray cans from the 80's.

I just tried it this week and I loved it. To me it settled between the Nepal Oud and Rose Elixir combined. I have both of these so I will experiment and try them together this weekend. I'll share my thoughts later once I do. Btw, I tried Pashmina during a low-70F weather outside and mid-60F inside the store and it smelled devine.

The only difference between this and the LV is this one the roses way more prominent and stronger but in a way it’s also sweet it kinda of reminds me of oud for greatness also It’s like a mass appealing take on ombre nomade But honestly, on my skin is not really like a beast mode scent but it also has very loud projection

So nicely blended that i get no direct agar nor too strong rose. Mainly i get leather from the very start till total drydown in some 12ish hours. By the way, this is not a love from 1st sniff,but after few weeks of trying this blind buy i ended up in love with it. It wraps you up like a nice soft extremely long scarf.

I liked it at first sniff, but the more I wore it, the more I liked it, and the more I got compliments. I just had someone follow me out of 7-11 to ask me what I was wearing. OUD PASHMINA. Typical Montale sillage and longevity. Just a beautiful fragrance. Launched in 2021, it's the new Montale, and it rocks.

Really nice smoky, creamy fragrance. Sweet and strong with rose and oud. If I did not know, I would not consciously pick up on the musk and vanilla. I can smell it now though. The oud and rose is dominant and smells very real. Strong projection, about 1 meter. Lasts for over 7 hours.

I don’t really get the comparison to Ombre Nomade. If anything Oud Pashmina reminds me much more of Les Sables Roses - an airy rose with a very light oud touch. There’s no notion of leather or anything dark whatsoever. Overall a very good scent and budget friendly too.

Does not smell like Oud for greatness. Kinda smells like LV ON Has a dry woody rose vibe to it ON is incense, animatic and then maybe rose The rose on this is first, then you have a woody and animalic Oud accord. Lovely smell, wish it lasted longer. A hidden gem.

It's love at first wear for me. The first 5-10 minutes is a strong rose and vanilla, but the drydown is gorgeous! Very easy to wear and balanced Oud. It's absolutely office and work appropriate and not annoying. This is one of the best things about Montal!

Light synthetic Oud & Rose, nothing new here. It’s been done before, sure. But this is damn good! Not overtly synthetic Oud, it’s a clean, crisp Oud. Rose and a bit of vanilla to sweeten it slightly. It’s a 9, and it’s affordable.

This is literally LV Ombré Nomad but much more sweeter. I would honestly recommend this Ombré Nomad only because you can get Oud Pashmina for $60-$70. Gorgeous scent! Deep, dark, and heavy 🔥

It's pleasant and calming edit; the drydown is just beautiful

I like it. Best Montale so far that I have owned. Very well blended. Oud and Rose are main players. Rose is second prominent note after Agarwood, but none of the notes are overpowering any of the other notes that it would feel one sided. I think both can wear this scent even though slightly leaning towards masculine as it has Agarwood before Rose note. I have owned Honey Aoud which was a bit too strong for my taste and then Intense Cafe which had too strong Rose note and not enough coffee for my taste. This scent has very nice balance. I do get that slight leather note vibe even though it is not listed.

Pashmina surprises me there’s no leather in this, so this might just have a more rubbery smelling oud with a vanilla combo. It’s nice but smells redundant by that meaning redundant to other montale offerings. Like I absolutely love Montale but feel sometimes he’ll take one of his blends change a couple notes and release it as a new scent..i.e. intense cafe, sensual instinct, and Arabians Tonka all have similar scent dna.. and this I feel has relation to Pure Love & Dark Vanila. It’s a very nice scent don’t get me wrong but nothing about it made me say WOW! OMG! I have to have this!

I originally bought this as an alternative to Ombre Nomade, which I would no longer recommend. Is it somewhat similar. In the sense that I a snake and a garden hose are similar. You might mistake one for the other if you notice them out of the corner of your eye. Now that Oud Maracujá exists, I would go for that as a much better alternative to ON instead. Oud Pashmina is a solid rose/oud in its own right but it leans to feminine for me and the rose is a bit granny like off of my skin. The performance is great and the quality is also very good for the price.

#469 in my "Tour de Fragrance" Surprisingly, you don't get much rose here. It's an undertone at most. Which is fine by me. Because of that this doesn't come off like granny wear. I get oud, but not the pungent and sharp variety, and just a dab of vanilla, musk and floral body powder, but mostly oud. Doesn't take much. Lasts through the day as a skin scent. Gets woodier through the day. Moderate sillage. Used sparingly you can get away with this in the office, formal events, even date nights. And it's a nice price.

Probably you are here because of the ON resemblance to this so hear me out. I own both Ombre Nomade and this and I can say for sure that are about 80-90 % identical. This is sweeter and more rosy.Smell wise and quality wise ON is a little better. But is it 360 euros better ? Hell noooo .Not even think to buy ON instead of this. This is not a clone this is a good quality fragrance that happens to be very very close to ON. Trust me I just saved you a lot of money!

I’m another person who doesn’t get the comparisons with LV Ombre Nomade. This fragrance unmistakably smells like a Montale house fragrance and if you don’t like Black Aoud you probably won’t like this, although the rose is much more tame here. I like this and Ombre Nomade but to me this is a more simple fragrance and Ombre Nomade has better blending and more going on with the amber accord. Is that worth almost $300 more? Probably not.

I don't think this is a very sharp fragrance, it's actually very smooth to my nose! The rose reminds me of the rose in intense cafe, and in Akaster, it's airy rich and slightly creamy. The oud is clean and woodsy and I think there must be some spice somewhere too. I'm not too into Montale but I really liked this one, I'll definitely be ordering some more samples!

This is Dark Vanilla without the vanilla, so oud softened by a rose accord. So, it’s worth giving a try; it’s the essence of Montale, since they specialize in oud and rose. It’s all delicate and very successful. The question is whether it outperforms Dark or Intense Cafe. In this context, leather and patchouli rather fade into the background...

i really admire how quintessentially Montale this fragrance is. it's just way too strong to be worn in public. the oud in this is so intense it almost smells like tar. i recommend waiting for at least an hour before going out while wearing this. the drydown is very pleasant and way more tolerable.

Not the classic oud and rose combo. This is fruitier and leans slightly masculine. A much cheaper (but sharper) version of The moon by Frédéric Malle. Still very good, especially at this price point. Longevity and sillage are above average, as you would expect from Montale. Great value for money.

Sent vraiment très fort, peu incommoder, plutôt à porter en hiver. essayer avant d 'acheter, parfum très lourd mais je l'aime bien, appris à l'apprivoiser mais je n'acheterai pas les 100ml. convient à femme d'âge mure ou femme qui s'assume pleinement, peut aller aussi à un homme

I find the dry-down of this scent to be quite similar to Ombre Nomade, with the difference that distincts the two apart being that this scent having more amber/vanilla and rose notes present in the dry-down with a slight reduction of ( synthetic ) oud accord.

I bought this perfume today. It smells like Jo Malone Red Roses only better. It has the Montale DNA so it does not smell too fresh like air freshener. It smells like wet pastels and Oud. More like almost dried rose petals with oud.

Very, very similar to Ombre Nomade. I'd even argue there are hints of Nouveau Monde as well. Now in the air it is different, but the closeness in general is good - I'd say 80-85% Very smooth and blended.

On me, this is a sueded oud scent. Mostly leather. Linear with just enough rose and vanilla to round things out. Goes a bit powdery towards the dry-down.

Very nice oud rose combo... it reminds me of Opulent oud by Lattafa but this isn't sweet as Opulent Oud... personally I love Opulent oud more.

Smells like ombre nomade ? yes, it does but when you put O.N on one arm and pashmina on the other you really smell the difference of quality

I have vivid memories of vacations to Dubai where I would be envious of how the locals were able to leave such intoxicating and luxurious scent trails behind them wherever they went. Fast forward to today, and I discover Montale perfumes. This will have you smelling like a million bucks to anyone within a 6 foot radius. Leathery oud, sweet vanilla, a touch of jammy rose, and a warm musk cloud to round everything out. Impeccably blended with no note overpowering the other. This is among the best Montales I have smelt. Lasts 12+ hours on skin and multiple days on clothes.

Montale- great entry-level niche brand; quality is still much worse and far away from amouage, initio, widian, xerjoff- but still overall good brand. This is not similar to LV Ombre Nomade. In the first 5 minutes smells 70% same but after that, it is completely different. The people who say this is the same don ́t have LV Ombre Nomade. This is much sweeter, more vanilla, much worse quality. Oud Pashmina- Sillage- Strong, but not usual Montale power. 5 sprays is all you need Longevity- 6 hours on skin, on clothing last days Easy to wear everyday, crowdpleaser.

One of the best smelling Montales, at least as of late, but here is the problem...the performance. Montale must have taken all the "too strong" criticisms to heart, cause their recent output is weak, almost skin scents...I am shocked to say the least. You have to spray this like your going to a Persian nightclub just to get any effective projection/sillage...I have designer EDTs that perform better than this...which is an EDP and a Montale (known for their powerful fragrances).

I find it sharp and synthetic, in the same vein as Oud Silk Mood and Ombre Nomad. If you like either of those scents, it's safe to say that you'd like this one too. I also think this contains the same amount of "synthetics" as either of the aforementioned two do, or at least smells like it does--which just shows the ridiculous markups from MFK and LV.

This cannot replace Ombre Nomade under any circumstance. It's too fleeting. First Montale that you HAVE to overspray to get some decent effect. It's not bad, but there are better rose-oud combos, even by this same brand. Oud Edition for example, I like much more.

Vile, extremely thick and not well blended oud-rose-vanilla-amber combo. Very “montaly” - in a bad way, that montale DNA... Boring, middle eastern, sweet rose oud vanilla. Beast mode longevity and projection. Nothing polished / sophisticated / elegant.

For me it is not that accurate to Louis Vuitton Ombre Nomade, maybe 80%. On my skin it stays almost the same from the beginning till the end, which is really some time after the 10th hour. It has that cotton candy / burnt sugar smell.

Oh I'm so getting a bottle of this. Leather and Oud with Vanilla touch, which come across as Velvety Feeling instead of Vanilla honestly. Very long lasting from my sample, idk how it projects though but I love this.

I actually prefer this to Ombre Nomade. Not as strong as it, but the smell appeals much more to me.

In my opinion it's redundant if you own any other oud, even a cheap one.
