I love all of the notes in this. I love clary sage and grapefruit in the top. I LOVE Violet. I like cinnamon when it is done right. I love tonka. I love woods. I liked this scent immediately, it was love at first scent. Easily. The violet is an icy smelling violet that mixes with the cinnamon to create a floral-sweetness. The drydown is the mixture of the vanilla-like tonka, whatever woods there are, and that floral cinnamon vibe remains prominent. The violet really is the star throughout at stays with you. It's not a fragrance that many would dislike, but if you are not a violet fan then I would not recommend it. It may not be groundbreaking, but I was looking for a mass appealing designer frag that isn't very well known but still remains unique. This really fit the bill for me. Montblanc make good fragrances. They quality is there for the price. They won't be the best fragrance you own, but they work very well. It is basic, it is not anything too different, it is easy to like, easy to wear, will work in all weather, and can definitely be an excellent signature scent. Any age range can rock this because clary sage and violet aren't so "youthful". This just kinda stands out in the cheaper designer realm. The icy violet is cool, must be the clary sage? cardamom? I know not much. People saying this has no longevity are crazy, I've gotten 5-6 hours at least on my skin with fairly good projection. I haven't tested it longer but it lasts on my skin. So whatever Extremely versatile and it might even get you laid

Me gusta mucho esta fragancia, la he comprado ya unas 5 veces, es mi vieja confiable. En lo personal la considero una fragancia todo-terreno, la suelo ocupar para el dia a dia, pero definitivamente la he ocupado también para citas y si me funciona. Me gusta lo reconfortante que se siente, es una fragancia calentita, elegante, que proyecta seguridad, es fresca, masculina y que además da una vibra nocturna media misteriosa (no se, siento que lo picante aporta en ese sentido) Las unicas cosas malas que tengo que destacar es que se siente algo sintetica y que ademas no esta hecha para destacar sobre otras, sin embargo por el precio que tiene y lo versatil y rica que es yo la recomiendo totalmente, si me ha dado cumplidos, es facil de usar y a la gente le va a gustar. Entiendo que hayan personas que la critiquen porque no es un olor complejo o de estos full llamativos, el gran contra que tiene es de hecho ese, que no va a destacar sobre otros perfumes, aun asi el olor a mi me fascina, lo que mas destaco es lo reconfortante que se siente. I came across Mont Blanc's Emblem fragrance in the Sephora stores and I rushed immediatly to it. I have read a couple of reviews stating that I would be dissapointed with this one and I had to make sure. I picked up the bottle (beautiful bottle it is, I would buy the fragrance just for the bottle) and applied two sprays to my skin. Once I tried it, it reminded me a little of Paco Rabanne's Invictus but it quickly changed to a softer version of 212 VIP Men by Carolina Herrera. I love 212 VIP Men and I instantly thought: "This would be a fine replacement for 212 VIP Men". It smelled really woodsy and spicy and I couldn't stop sniffing it. I probably am going to buy this one but I will wait for September/October. One final thing came to mind: if the bottle in black is beautiful, and I mean B-E-A-Utiful (!), I can't wait to see the Intense version of the bottle. Seriously guys, give this one a try :)

Interesting scent but yes it has done before. What I find interesting about it is the floating oud - woody notes that are present but always changing throughout the wear. The frozen violet doesn't seem so frozen to me and comes across as dirty n' woody which I like. I had bought Lacoste White, Only the Brave, The One, Decibel and Guess Seductive and will only keep OTB and The One. Emblem can replace all of them as my preferable sweet smell. When smelling invictus and eros, 1 million I bought this. Overall, a big Like! (not love) but definitely like a lot. Long lasting - 8hrs on clothes after 1 spray; and very easy/comfortable to wear. Gets compliments from my lady too.

This one has always been a strange one.. it's extremely simplistic yet unsual to decipher It's definitely a fresh and cold fragrance that is dominated by sweet and spicy accords. The main note being violet leaf giving off that typical freshness and slight Icy quality alongside a somewhat sweet Cinnamon, lots of tonka bean all over the fragrance It's got such a mushy formed smell. The notes don't really stand alone, they all combine to make a general smell, yet this is the beauty with this one. It's simple but simple done well. The only critique I have of this is that it just doesn't have good performance, that's about it. Otherwise it's amazing

Cinnamon-violet, grapefruit, sage, cardamom and cedar (not mentioned but obvious). Lightweight woody floral scent. Clean, fresh, woody, herbal and slightly floral. Honestly, not a bad scent composition. It's appealing second-skin scent but the lasting power is kinda weak, wish it was just a bit stronger. Edit: wore it on skin and I was wondering why I was so familiar with this scent and then BOOM i remmeber: Polo Red. It has such a very similar DNA (grapefruit & sage), hence why the longevity sucks and all, so intresting. This is a much more woodier take on PR.

Such a beautiful understated gem that lasts all day and night. It peaks on warm skin and smells so elegant and intoxicating yet remains close to the skin as if to remind you that you are awesome for you, and no one else. Blind bought this as a brother is particularly fond of other releases by this perfumer, and it was such a great buy. I think I’d push everything I have that costs 5 times this one does aside, and wear it on a first date. It’s elegant and memorable, but has a low key vibe and is super sexy. One of my faves even though it’s not listed lol.

I like this regardless of reviews, what works well on my skin may differ from yours. If you enjoy one million and invictous then you will also enjoy this as it has some similarities. This is sweet and on me has excellent longevity and projection, so easy on the trigger when it's hot out. I think this is best for fall nights. Even clubbing. It's been 6 hours and it's still on my arms quite strong, not even close a skin scent yet. Scent 8/10 Longevity 9/10 Projection 9/10 Casual. Fall. Night time. Montblanc is becoming a good house to my nose.....

Very elegant perfum, it is absolutely for everyday use office person. I used a sample as a test for one day, and I have to admit that the perfum really stayed all day long.It is elegant, sofesticated, soft, and unique. Your nose is not going to define it first, so you can't judge it actually at all from the first time, but then your nose get use to it and then magic starts to arise. I bought one last night from "the bay" $75, and I"ll most probably buy a second one. Love that scent ......

Generic? Yes. Boring? Yes. Weak longevity? Yes. Girls love it? Yes. So who cares if it's nothing unique. A great date scent IMHO. I feel fresh when wearing it, stays on my skin for 4 hours so when I go out I take a small decant in my pocket to respray after sometime. It's elegant, good for casual outfit as well as for a suit. I'd like to try Intense version but it is not available in my country.

I fricking love this scent. Its better than the intense and the drydown reminds me of a cool breze at my city at 3am in summer but way dencer. It isnt heavy like lalique encre noir. Its wouldy,light,celery cage. And no it has caracter if yall are wondering that.My only complints are the projection and lasting and yes i know about the intence but it isnt the same its too sweet

You can't wear this without the following items (no way you can, nah-nah): a Gucci suit (essential), Mont-Blanc cufflinks (duh!), Armani underwear (wink wink) and shades by Tom Ford (even when night!). If you wear all that, with shoes and belt by an Italian brand, ladies will give you the best time of your life! 10/10 ruined personal economies.

I dont know why so many dislike this one, i do love the sweet smell i get everytime i move around i get whiffs of a melon kind of fruity vibe, its yummy and very plesant and i cant stop sniffing it. I also like the intense version too tho they are different i would recommend everyone who likes this to try it, you might like it i sure did.

While my parfume stock recently has been on the higher end of things (Creed, Tom Ford Private Blend, Acqua Di Parma) I am so glad I stopped and smelled this at Bloomingdales the other day. It is phenomenal, the citrus overtones and patchouli undertones mix very well together. The bottle looks awesome as well, $85 very well spent!

I don't know why this fragrance makes me think of plums in syrup. It's sweet and masculine. It's not cloying. It was not in my radar and it surprised me. I have tried fragrances with cardamom and violet but never mixed together. It feels spicy but clean and sweet at the same time. Nice combination.

The whole entire philosophy of Mont Blanc is truly inside this bottle .....!!!!! If you love Mont Blanc products, you buy Emblem confidently because you'll love it. If you DO NOT like this scent, then you definitely do not know what the philosophy of Mont Blanc is all about.....!!!!

Well, I'm living in a tropical country, so the weather is hot or super-duper-hot (24*C - 38*C) so this perfume a little bit overwhelming. But when the night comes out, this perfume is perfect for date night. This is my first perfume, it's cheap but truly the best casual perfume!

Love this, but such a difficult scent to describe. Very ozonic and fresh smelling, other than that, I don't know what else to say. I might also add that I have very good skin chemistry with this fragrance. Scent 4.25/5 Projection 3.5/5 Silage 3/5 Longevity 4.5/5 Overall 4.25/5

This is a men's fragrance you wear when you definitely want to smell good and get noticed! I get great projection with this and I would say this is a great mass appealing fragrance. Good for the party and social scenes. This is a fun fragrance! I give this a 9.4/10

This fragrance is my night to go scent, I've got so many compliments with this one, projection and longevity is a beast on my skin, I just love how it smells on my skin. I'm going to buy another bottle even if I have like plenty more on my existing one. 10/10.

This fragrance is great! I’ve yet to find a scenario it would fail in, I’ve gotten compliments on it. You can find it for under $50. Atomizer is solid. Bottles nice and sleek. Can’t complain. All around banger. A staple of my collection.

stole this one from my dad, but it's very good! it's not as overwhelming as most fragrances for men, but not too weak that i can barely smell it after a few hours! there's not much i can say about it, it's very simple (in a good way!).

I absolutely love this fragrance. It's very fresh and unique smelling. I always receive compliments when wearing it. I'd highly recommend it if you want to add something different yet solid to your collection. One of my favourites.

so! i have Paco Rabanne Invictus and i bought mont blanc Emblem today... I don't understand why people say that mont blanc is a cheap copy of invictus, when it's quite better than Invictus( im my single opinion, of course!)

This is a classy fragrance. I have applied it with Dunhill Icon and Burberry Summer 2013 (on different pulse points) to get a fantastic, fresh, spicy, and sweet feel.

Successfully got me in love over and over again with the wearer.. Such a lovely scent for a man! Gentle yet firm, warm, and clean.

This smells pretty good. It's not jaw dropping, but the bottle has a nice look and weight to it, so it's going to sell well.

Mont Blanc emblem opens with a soft projection of grapefruit, spicy, woody, and floral accords. The opening is very soft, the notes are not well defined, a pleasant but unimpressive opening. In just a moment the violet leaf of mid notes enters the blend creating the fresh aroma; the cinnamon and cardamon mix together adding a soft spicy touch but nothing prominent. The tonka bean adds a sweet and aromatic touch and the woods do the same. Once Mont Blanc Emblem has reached its full dry-down, it can be summarized as a very soft projecting grapefruit and cinnamon fragrance with faint spicy, floral, and woody accords. The fragrance feels airy, inexpensive, clean, diurnal, faint, fresh, and relatively pleasant. BATCH REVIEWED: 2020 WOW RATING: 5/10. This is a pleasant, fresh, aquatic, soft woody, and citrusy fragrance. DISLIKE RATING: 0/10. This fragrance does not contain offensive notes. UNIQUENESS: 1/10. Made an account just to talk about this. The fragrance that started my perfume journey. I bought my original bottle a few years ago on holiday and fell in love with the scent, continuing to ware it. Since then I’ve gone through one bottle and halfway through my second. It’s such a weird fragrance for something I can get at the drugstore, the clashing notes of citrus and spice makes it stand out. With the combination of notes it somehow makes it a versatile daily fragrance. I’ve wore it during the day, at night, at work, meeting with friends, etc. Starts off with sage and citrus. It then dries down to a warmer spice and woody smell. I also get weird berry notes when the fragrance is on its last legs which I find interesting. I’m probably smelling the grapefruit note but I don’t know. I wish the formula would last longer because I find that it only lasts on my skin for a few hours (either that or I just get used to it). Pretty good projection especially when it’s warmer. I tend to wear it in autumn or at night, which feels the most appropriate for it. I know it’s an edt but I wish there was an edp just so it could be a little more potent. I love the design of the bottle too. To me most “men’s” fragrances have the same bottle design, of a rectangle with some writing on it in a baby bottle. Emblem stands out. The company’s logo has been extruded into an opaque black pillar, which is one of the reasons I initially picked it up. The bottle design is easy to grip as you spray because of the groove, but I wish Montblanc would redesign the caps. I personally find it really hard to remove the cap because of how slippery the plastic is. I don’t have any mobility issues but I know that this design would be difficult for those who do. I leave the bottle capped but not fully sealed because of it (which also makes a fun fidget toy because you can spin it around on the sprayer) Despite my issues with it, the pain point come from factors outside of the fragrance itself. I find the fragrance irresistible on me. Especially after about 15 minutes when it truly dries down, I will just sit and sniff my wrists. It’s like crack to me. I think it smells so good and I have others to back me up, because I get so many compliments when I wear it. My go-to, she is that girl to me. I’m obsessed

Emblem was announced in March 2014 along with its Intense version (which is rare in this market as there is usually a space of, at least, one year between flanker releases). At the time, Montblanc claimed that the fragrances represented the brand's heritage and, for this reason, the bottle cut into the shape of the famous six-point star. Emblem also started a new pillar of fragrances inside the Montblanc, which had the first feminine scent of this line launched in 2015. It features notes of clary sage, cardamom and grapefruit as start. The body of the fragrance features notes of violet leaves and cinnamon. The base was made with tonka beans and woody accord. On the skin, Emblem is pleasant and can walk between appointments, from day to night, with ease. The output is slightly fruity and sweet and the evolution shows an oriental body, which gains woody and creamy facets. But it is not an innovative cologne today, nor when it was released. Its fragrance presents a proposal similar to that of 212 VIP Men (2010) and, if worn side by side, it is possible to notice similarities. The biggest difference is due to the creaminess of Emblem, which results from the sage and fava tonka notes, against the alcoholic and salty aspect of the other, due to the notes of vodka, caviar lime and salty amber. That said, Emblem reinforces my personal opinion about the fragrances of the brand, which tend to grow in my concept the more I make use of them. Here, there is a little more nobility and maturity, which fit better in my current moment of life. After all, we are talking about almost eight years of difference since the launch of the Carolina Herrera's fragrance, and the market at that time was different. Emblem exudes well, but it produces olfactory fatigue very fast for those who wear it. That is, you may think you are no longer exuding, but you are. The durability is very good, exceeding eight hours on my skin. After knowing this scent, I was even more curious to know its Intense version, which also has Eau de Toilette concentration, but gained reinforcement notes in its composition, such as coriander, Pomarose (compound made by Givaudan), nutmeg and patchouli.

Yesterday, I sniffed the cap of Mont Blanc's emblem and it seemed very disappointing. I left a review here just below this one that I will keep for comparison. Today, I tested it on my skin. Even if I hated it, I wanted to give it a proper chance. I must say, I was very wrong and harsh. It's not, by any means, a brand defining fragrance, but it is still a good scent. It starts so harsh so sweet, and so sticky. I quickly removed my hand and took a nice breath of fresh air. Gave it a second chance after a couple of minutes and it all changed! Ok, it does smell similar to thousands or even millions of other fragrances, but what sets it apart of them is it's quality. Once settled, this fragrance becomes sweet, but refined. It's like telling it's fellows how they should have been. It is not as synthetic smelling as PR's Invictus. Despite that "Emblem" will never be in my want list, I can give Mont Blanc the credit for introducing a good quality sweet perfume. But, I also want to say that I had enough with this category of perfume. They need to be more daring and experiment with different kinds of ingredients. I need something new! On a side note, although the bottle is very beautiful and oozes class, I think it is wasted on a juice like this. And "Emblem" should be the name of the fragrance that represent the house the most. The fragrance that should have been inside, is elegant, classy and a little bit snobbish. Sadly the current juice is not worthy of this privilege and should have been another, but good flanker of MB legend!

Today's men's popular/'generic' department store fragrance market can be generally categorised into two groups. First, we have the works-every-time fresh citrusy scents. Second, we have the new sweet spicy scents that have lately become popular - the prime examples being One Million and Spicebomb. Emblem takes these two most popular categories and merges them into one. This bottle is essentially Legend meets One Million. After the fresh citrusy top, it dries down into a fresher and less obnoxious version of the cinnamon-centric One Million. Simple and fairly linear after the top. The result is pleasing and the performance is good (average projection, decent longevity). Of course it is generic, and of course it's synthetic - but that does not mean it's a bad scent. In fact, it does well in balancing the two categories. Nevertheless, it's unfortunate that a house that is capable of producing the excellent Individuel is opting for the tried and tested money-making formula, but that's hardly surprising - particularly after the statement of purpose that was MB Legend. Emblem isn't the embodiment of the authentic essence and elegance of the Mont Blanc brand. Emblem is the embodiment of everything that is popular is the mass consumer men's fragrance market today, and it has succeeded in its purpose.

I've been wearing this for quite a long time to finally come to a solid decision. Decided to purchase it because I liked the drydown. So it's not one of those fragrances which I can't stop sniffing myself after applying, I have to wait till the end to enjoy it. It is synthetic, (duh, it's chemistry). Yet, it's decent. Definitely not exceptional or a showstopper, that's for sure, but I have to be fair and give out what it deserves. Emblem OG is a nice, aromatic/spicy option for rather colder seasons, best for autumn or early spring, however, still can be used in all weather and occasions as it can't be cloying or headache-inducing, even if oversprayed. I have the intense version as well(there are rumours it has been discontinued) and it might be my first successful layering attempt. Lately I have been applying this to my clothes and the other one onto skin and to be honest, the result is electrifying. The technical evaluation parameters are neither totally satisfying nor disappointing, especially considering the price. Maybe I won't purchase again in the upcoming years or have a backup bottle, nevertheless, I will cherish this black gem as long as it widely sprays from that surprisingly performing atomiser.

Professional and formal. Those two words perfectly outline this fragrance. This is not something you wear on a typical day. This is a business suit and tie accessory, or a date-night aroma. Definitely not your average deo-body spray. This is the atmosphere of someone successful and someone who knows what they want in life, and how to achieve it. The notes blend together masterfully, striking a mysterious tone that adds extra enchantment to it. The citrus and sage notes are noticeably prominent at the beginning, with cinnamon and violet fading into existence from the background. This scent does not change dramatically from the opening to the drydown. Instead, it remains a constant through the drydown and beyond. It smells the same on my clothes 14 hours after I sprayed it on. That being said, it last quite a while. It survived on me the whole day, still sufficiently projecting at bedtime. It gradually gets softer as the day goes on though. Fantastic sillage and longevity, I must say (: It smells like some other common scents, such as Invictus by Paco Rabbane. But, still a very good smell and affordable for the quality it is. Highly recommend. Overall rating: 8.9/10

The opening sage and grapefruit makes for a very refreshing, fresh-but-on-the-dry-side start (closer to cucumber than fruit) with some moderate projection that lasts for a good 1-2 hours on my skin - the spices start to emerge as the citrus fades, ultimately leading to the considerably sweeter base of tonka and wood notes that radiate a minimal amount for abut another 90 minutes before becoming a skin scent for another few hours. This scent takes you on a far more interesting journey than the moderate price would imply. I know I have an undeniable bias to wood aromatic and/or spicy blends, but I feel like as long as you have a fondness for this family of scents, this would be a very safe blind buy if you know to expect a good woody scent with a fresh dry touch and more sweetness in the drydown than the opening would suggest. Very interesting. As FearlessFalcon mentioned below, the notes are very well matched, leading into and around one another seamlessly. This immediately makes me think of a dryer, less amberish D&G The One. I am currently enjoying this as a cold-weather work scent.

Nothing groundbreaking, but in my experience, groundbreaking does not lead to others appreciating your smell. This has a fantastic scent trail rivaling top designer fragrances and maintains a warm coziness that women love to snuggle up to. To me this falls in the same category as Coach Man and Wanted by Night - an inexpensive and surprisingly excellent fragrance built to a budget. I have received plenty of unsolicited comments wearing all three, but the synthetic nature ever so slightly stings my eyes. If you are not sensitive to this, it could be a great option for filling out a new collection. If you already have some higher end fresh fragrances that you enjoy, I would rate this as redundant.

Picked this up because I remember loving it at the beginning of my fragrance journey, but ai never bought it because that was before I knew about discounters. Finally decided to pick it up for nostalgia sake and figured I'd still like it. Being a montblanc fragrance (other than Explorer) I knew it would smell cheap to my fragrance connoisseur nose. It does smell good, but is a lot similar to Abercrombie & Fitch First Instinct (with some added warmth) which I currently have and use as my car scent. Good thing I didn't buy a full bottle because this would have been too redundant. A great cheapie but not necessary by any means.

Emblem is a fragrance that does not try to be anything different. It is a scent that wants to excel in being cologny, and does so extraordinary. Although I do not get any of the notes listed above, to me this smells like watermelon. Emblem is fruity but not overly. It is also athletic and masculine. The longevity is seriously incredible. It lasts well over 12 hours and projects well for the first few hours. If you want a cheap everyday scent, go for this. Unique bottle with an awesome cap that spins elegantly like a dreidel.

This is a lovely, warm, spicy fragrance. The opening is a little sharp, but it mellows into something warm and aromatic. For me there's a boozy note in here, along the lines of Calvin Klein's Encounter, but much less pronounced. It's a safe purchase, as I've yet to find anyone that dislikes it, but it does lack the wow factor. The bottle is great, but for me the best Montblanc fragrance will always be Presence. Nothing like 1 Million, it's more refined then that. Not a wow, but it's very pleasant. Thumbs up.

I just sniffed some of the juice... I know I can't tell exactly how the perfume is really but I smelled a sticky super sweet perfume reminiscent of every other perfume: Invictus, one million, 212 VIP, OTB Tattoo, CH men, and most shockingly a similar scent to their own legend!! I will give this one a proper testing, but, for now I am majorly disappointed and frustrated by this lack of creativity in this business! And I don't really think that cheap and trashy are elements of Mont Blanc's "Philosophy"!!

A fresh, aromatic, safe fragrance. I get a dominant cardamon and violet smell, the cinnamon is in there but not as pronounced for me. The smell has a balanced sweetness, it's clean, powdery and has a spicy floral balsamic undertone. Bad match for damp hot days, good for airconditioned environments. I'm sure this will please whoever is sitting next to you at the office but you won't stand out. I put this into the "I want to smell fresh and clean" category.

This one took me by surprise, If I concentrate then I can pick out the citrus and sage and violet but just wearing it, it smells like cucumber lemonade with some crisp greens and hardly any florals. I would not have known there were heavier woods and tonka if it had not been pointed out. Love this for a warmer weather fragrance and already bought a backup bottle just a dozen "wears" into the first.
