Starwalker Extreme

So, Ive watched a few YouTube reviews and also read some reviews here on fragrantica where folks were stating that this scent was sorta "generic" or "uninspired" etc.., but I could NOT disagree more! I've actually found it for a great price ($19.99 at Ross) and purchased two bottles to resell bc depending on when ya' look, Montblanc Skywalker Extreme sells for a nice chunk o change on ebay or Etsy bc it's seemingly discontinued. I had planned to sell both bottles because of all the "Meh" reviews which made me loose interest, but curiosity got the best of me and so I decided to open one and try it for myself and just sell the other bottle instead. Anyhow, I was really taken a back at how freakin' great this fragrance smells! Its like a nice spicey aq muatic with a touch of amber at the base? Starts off very bright, fresh, sweet, fruity (kinda mouth-watering) actually. Gradually transitions into a fresh, slightly powdery and gorgeous lavender in the mid which givesit a classic, slightly more "mature" touch than the original Starwalker does. Then it finally starts to warm up with the tonka bean along with that awesome Patchouli in the base! It does NOT AT ALL smell cheap, generic or uninspired imo, and Ive collected over 60 frags from pricey to cheapies along with some duds, so I know a "dud" when I smell one, and this sure ain't one of em'.. It's actually quite strong in the opening so be mindful of the sprays folks bc this is borderline "beast-mode", so I don't understand why so many are voting this as having "moderate longevity"? On clothes I can definately clearly pick this upto about 10 hrs later and can still smell it clearly the following day, again (ON CLOTHES), Also lasts a good 6 to 8 hours on skin before becoming a skin scent which is hellovalot better than a lot of (edp's) in my collection which are supossedly "Beast mode", this also projects quite well for 2 to 3 hours, so there's THAT PART! So DO NOT believe it when people are claiming poor to moderate performance.. that's bs, fr fr. This fragrance deserves to be praised, fr! So go grab a bottle before this goes up in price even more ya'll. I cant emagine folks would be dissapointed once they've smelled this, as long as ya dont expect Starwalker Extreme to smell like the original, ANYONE can enjoy this fo sho😉. Thanks to whomever took the time to read my looong review, I'm pretty excited about this one which is getting more and more rare these days, and thats why I had a lot to say about Montblanc Starwalker Extreme.. Great bottle too!😅

Ive left several reviews on Fragrantica about this scent bc whenever I wear it I'm always reminded of how great this scent is and them I'm curious to see.what folks are saying about it, yet unfortunately its got a lot of Nay-Sayers.. StarWalker Extreme gets such a bad wrap! Its Semi-Sweet, Deep, a bit powdery and super-fresh! While its not a "Blue fragrance" Id definately classify it as an "Aquatic" with fruity nuances. Also, Im whatcha might call a "Performance Whore" lol, and Im getting above average performance on skin of ATLEAST 6 hours and ALL DAY LONGEVITY on clothes where I can easily still smell it the following day! But folks, ya gotta remember that 99.9% of fragrances need a little time to maturate to gain their peak performance where even the scent profile improves. Now, I'll spray 4 to 5 spritzes on my shirt and 2 to 3 on my neck for work and get a full 8 hours if not more with pretty good projection for about 2 hours while catching whiffs of it throught the day. Thats another thing, I dont go Nose-Blind to this dna which is a huge plus! Its NOT a "Beast-Mode" scent, but it has darned good projection and above-average longevity, smells fantastic, deep and SUPER -FRESH and ya just can't beat the price! StarWalker Extreme's ONLY sin is that it DOES NOT smell like a true flanker to the OG StarWalker, but once ya get passed that, its an excellent, cashual-every day fragrance indeed! An 8.5 outta 10 in my book and I"ve collect many High-end designers as well as many Niche fragrances, yet sometimes Im left craving the scent of StarWalker Extreme. So don't judge it immediately, give it a couple wears and you'll see, it A WINNER! I love this juice!

I'd left my first review for Starwalker Extreme back in November 2024, but I keep reading/hearing that it only lasts around 4 hours? Im wearing it today and felt inspired to leave another review bc I really enjoy this fragrance, so so Im back to "Defend it's honor"🫠. Also, with my experience, and after hearing that this has poor performance, I just wanna say thats just NOT true! Now, Im one of those annoying " Performance Whores" who complaines about poor performance concerning reformulations and tend to dissagree with some about other fragrances which boast of "Beast mode" performance when those frags only perfoem "OK" imo.. As for Starwalker Extreme, I get really good performance lasting a good 5 to 6 hours on skin and ESPECIALLY on clothes, even lasting a couple days where its really quite noticable! For an edt it out-performs many of my edp frags! This is a great fruity/Aquatic with an ambery/powdery Tonka bean base and is SUPER fresh and appealing . Because of the slight ambery base and pretty good performance this will work winter or spring and may even be too heavy for Summer. Also has good projection for around 2 hours. I was honestly pleasantly surprised by this scent. Unlike the original Starwalker which can be over sprayed wo it being too much, Starwalker Extreme most definately CAN BE over-done bc of the strong projection. It smells NOTHING like the og, but its still a really great "Semi-Aquatic" fragrance! I actually got a back-up bottle bc its evidently discontinued. A great 8 outta 10 fragrance and a FRIGGIN' STEAL for the price!

This fragrance was one I was unsure about for a while but it became one of my favorites just because of how unique it is to me. It's rich, fruity, woody, and masculine. The main note I get in the opening is a deep, slightly bitter, fruity scent. I would almost describe the fruit note as slightly medicinal, like cough syrup with some fresh citrus. It may sound like a weird thing but it's actually pleasant and works well. It blends nicely with the underlying lavender, tonka, and sandalwood, making this fragrance decently mature and versatile. I'll wear this to work or on nights out, the only things this wouldn't be ideal for is hot summer days and formal occasions. I've read that some people complain about this being too powdery/floral, but I really don't think so. It may be slightly floral, but by no means is it anywhere close to most other powdery fragrances. It's much deeper and woodier. Performance on this is pretty average. Projection is alright for the first hour or two, but after that it becomes a more dull, intimate scent. Longevity in total is about 4, maybe 5, hours for me before it's barely noticeable on skin. Still acceptable though considering the price, I paid $25 and it's more than worth it. Overall, I'd say it's worth picking up as a good-smelling cheap fragrance that's fruity, interesting, and versatile. This one will definitely get you compliments as it's a pretty unique scent for any man to wear. Bottle looks nice in my collection as well.

So my input and review is going to be a little bit more personal and may click for someone out there. But i grew up wearing a fragrance that I still love to this day that was from Hot Topic. It was in a Grenade shape and called "Black Matter" The fragrance is REALLY good for what it cost too. Black Matter Fragrance Notes: Top - Bergamot, Mandarin Fruit. Mid - Black Pepper, Wild Lavender. Bottom - Cedar, Sandalwood. When I found Starwalker Extreme I got it because it was recommended as a possible hidden gem at a amazing price pick up. When i smelled it I was slammed with Nostalgia. I honestly can't believe I finally found a fragrance that smells similar (But still unique) to that fragrance! The Top Mandarin orange notes, the middle Lavender notes, and the bottom Sandalwood notes are definitely in a similar way and you can immediately smell it. So if anyone out there for some reason reads this and were desperately trying to smell that glorious little Black Matter Grenade from Hot Topic again. This smells extremely close to it and will actually give you excellent value for the 75ml of $25 at TJmaxx / Marshalls! 100% keeper in my collection right next to my bottle of Black Matter.

I bought this one about a year ago and reviewed it then, giving it a fairly unenthusiastic "like" and feeling underwhelmed with it. I didn't really wear it for about 6 months until one day when my 20 year old son walked by and smelled great. I knew he liked raiding my fragrance collection but I didn't recognize his scent. I was shocked when he told me it was my Starwalker Extreme - the scent that I had mostly dismissed smelled wonderful on him! I started putting it into my regular rotation and I have come to really appreciate this scent. This isn't something that will blow you away with a super unique profile or nuclear performance. But with time I've come to love its lowkey but charming warm but fresh fruity and sweet blend with a winsome creamy and woody finish. It's super versatile and super likeable. It's not big on projection but the longevity is solid, with about 6-8 hours for me. Like many, I picked this up at a rack discount store (Ross or Burlington, can't remember) for less than $30, and it's become one that I consider a tremendous value. Grateful for my son seeing the beauty in this one and giving me a second chance at seeing it myself.

Just blind bought this for $25 at ross, this stuff smells so dang good. Projection: Pretty impressive for the first 2 hours or so maybe a little less. Definitely more than an arms length, more of an intimate bubble once the opening is gone. Longevity: 4-6 hours. Scent profile: Starts super aquatic and fruity with some fresh spiciness to it with an undertone of salty sandalwood and very faint lavender. After about 2 hours it goes down to that salty aquatic sandalwood and light powdery lavender. It seems like it stays in that sandalwood lavender realm for the remainder of the 6 hour-ish longevity. Super impressed for how cheap this was, not synthetic at all, smells amazing. Could definitely have better longevity, but for $25 I’m not complaining. If you’re gonna be away from home for more than 4 hours I’d fill a travel size bottle to keep with you, but with the price point it’s not gonna hurt to have to reapply throughout your day. Overall I’d give it a solid 8/10, probably would be a 10 for me if it lasted longer. Definitely worth trying if you see it at a discounter. I’d call it blind buy safe if the notes sound nice to you.

Shoot, do I like this. Wow. It's not unique, exactly. It's a semi-blue freshie, but it still feels original and interesting. Very vaguely reminds me of Polo 67 because of the pineapple, but it's much more interesting than that. It doesn't veer into dryer sheets as this style of fragrance tends to. It stays aromatic and then becomes cloudy and vanillic. It's a... cozy freshie? Like, you ever throw on a cozy smell before bed, like MB Club Black, so you can be all cozy in bed? I feel like this is that but for hot weather. Honestly, if it had better performance, I'd be rocking this all day, but it's a but intimate and doesn't linger too much after about eight hours, so it's really perfect for throwing on after an evening shower when you're gonna relax at home. I have no idea if this is discontinued or not, but I grabbed a nearly full bottle off eBay for $20, and that was a great deal. Also, dunno what kind of Rosses and TJ Maxxes y'all have, other reviewers, but the selection is waaay better than mine and I'm jealous as hell.

Not bad! I think a lot of reviews are biased because it just popped up out of nowhere and people were expecting a stronger take on their beloved Starwalker (which I love). I was keeping my eye on this at my local TJ Maxx. It was $30, then $20, then the other day it dropped to $16. Sold. Is this groundbreaking? no. But it's definitely more than okay and doesn't smell like anything currently in my collection. It has a very sweet, fruity, spicy opening reminiscent of something like grape soda meets Moxie. I get the licorice vibe people are talking about but I definitely get more of a syrupy/soda/fizzy take on it (hence why it's reminding me of Moxie. Not sure if this reference means anything to the non-New Englanders here). There's an herbal/aromatic nuance from the lavender that keeps it from being too immature and cloying. I was worried about longevity based on reviews but it's been a good performer for me. Definitely worth picking up if you find it. In retrospect I would have been happy spending the $30.

Starwalker Extreme is a pleasant cologne but it lacks the uniqueness and potency needed to be memorable. It goes on with a nice blend of fruit notes with an underlying sweetness that's present but not overpowering. The lavender perks up soon before the eventual dry down leaves a warm fairly sweet and entirely appealing intimate scent marked by tonka bean and vanilla. The main problem is that it's too intimate, with minimal projection and pretty average longevity. I can still detect it at about 6 hours but only if I work at it with my nose against my skin. And there's absolutely nothing here to explain the "Extreme" moniker, as this is a kind of generic smelling cologne. At least you can spray all you want and not worry because it's cheap, at least at the discount department store where I got it for less than $30. Another plus is that this is a versatile scent that will work year round for any occasion. No regrets getting this for an easy and likeable dumb reach, but don't expect anything extreme.

Rating: 9.0/10 The House of Mont Blanc is always a solid option among fragrance lines, consistently delivering excellence. While Starwalker Extreme may not resemble the OG Starwalker in any way, this unique scent stands on its own. At first, I was skeptical as I stumbled upon a bottle at Ross for only $25. So I did what I usually do, I turned to YouTube for reviews. I quickly discovered that Starwalker Extreme has a multitude of critics. Despite my doubts, I decided to give it a shot anyway, and I am so glad that I did! This fragrance has become one of my best blind buys, and the perfect addition to my collection. Its delightful floral undertones, likely thanks to the lavender mid notes, captivate my senses. It's a dependable and captivating scent that I find myself constantly gravitating towards.

I actually like this over the original. Totally different fragrances with the same namesake...seems to be a Mont Blanc theme. This one opens with the fruits, Musk, maybe some ambroxan and iso e super. Definitely synthetic but blended well and mass appealing for sure. Drydown is all about that Tonka and some Sandalwood. All in all a very pleasant fragrance and at $30 or under it's a steal. Somewhat generic but also Somewhat unique. The one and only problem is availability. This one is hard to find. I get 6 to 8 hours which is practically above average these days. I give it a very solid 8/10 and spring / fall almost year round any occasion. Lovely concoction!

Starwalker Extreme is a nice scent. I don't think it shares anything with the original Starwalker. I blind bought Extreme and original about 4 months apart, one online and one at a local store. The opening has citrus mixed with a light vanilla scent (to my nose at least) maybe tonka bean and slight woodiness. It's unique and different from my other fragrances which I like. Performance is okay especially for the price. I lucked out and found mine at a Marshalls here in North Carolina, $30. This is easily wearable anytime. Performance 4-5 hours (3-4 sprays body and clothes) Sillage arms length Value is good $40ish for 2.5oz

Wow what a solid blind buy. Got this fragrance at Ross for around 22$ and it exceeded my expectations. This is a fruity, citrusy, woody, fresh scent. I would also say it's pretty mass appealing, and honestly this frag can be very versatile in my opinion, from dates to meetings to gatherings you name it you're going to smell good that's for sure. The performance is good especially for a cheap EDT, I get around 7 good hours of performance with moderate projection and sillage for 3 hours. Worth having in the collection!

Haters gonna hate on Mont Blanc. The only thing I know is that they produce amazing quality colognes at unreal value. There are times when you get a chemical note, but even in expensive designers you get that. Starwalker Extreme is just another fine example of perfumery done right. The citrus notes combined with the geranium and tonka is awesome. I like the dry down better than the opening. While it doesn't project a lot, for the money you can douse yourself. Smell A, Value A+.

Ok, with 105 votes it gets a 4.05, that’s better than most on Fragantica. This first appeared at Nordstrom Rack, then Ross, and a few others. There is a lot of hate here but I think it is just the typical few. This reminds me of Chanel Bleu, but is it’s own thing. It has descent performance for an EDT. It is a non-linear scent and for me it is interesting. At the end of the day it’s a solid fragrance for $30.00 anytime of the year and follows the Blue fragrance typing.

Rack store blind buy. Bought it because I had the original and it's Mont Blanc...usually safe territory for me. I actually like this better than the original Starwalker. I try not to expect anything special that has extreme, intense, or elixir in it's name. I just chalk it up to poor marketing tactics. Good cheap frag for bedtime. I tend to alternate between this and the original.

Just sprayed this on to lounge around the house and watch some Sunday baseball and I'm happy with my decision. The citrus opening is very pleasant for me but really enjoy the lavender mixed with some woodsiness in the dry down the most. Would purchase another bottle when my current one runs out.

Very nice, all season appropriate if indoors, very formal, smells like a rich guy. Not beast mode performance but that's okay considering its a fresh/blue smelling fragrance. People compare to Gucci guilty but I think this is better, Gucci Guilty makes me feel absolutely nothing.

Excellent inexpensive pickup,reminds me somewhat of Armani Code Eau de Parfum ,a little sweeter but still a masculine fragrance.Not sure what happened to this release,could have been made during summer of 2020 according to batch code.Nice projection and decent lasting time.
