Green

I was surprised by the description as well. It smells sweet and fresh to me; a little like lilac, grass, and melon. It does last long, but fades to soft quickly. I like it because it has a very natural, clean feel, unlike a lot of perfumes that tickle the nose too much. Having been a devotee of the designer's line of clothing for 20 years+, I don't necessarily feel a direct connection between this fragrance and the fashion line. I see a drier fragrance beiing its aesthetic mate. I feel comfortable wearing this during the day, as it does not assault the senses and I don't think it would offend anyone allergic to most perfumes. Definitely my favorite for everyday wear, but not so much for night.

The niche version of Marc Jacobs Splash Cucumber. They're absolutely indistinguishable and I don't like neither the designer one nor the niche. Want to know how Green smells like? Impressive, but not in a good way for a perfume. I'm intrigued by the bottle beyond my self control and my regards over decency. The bottle strongly reminds me of iron (II) sulphate (FeSO4) solution in a volumetric flask. Which triggers many burning questions in my head. Do they exactly fill the flakon up to where the menicus reaches 50 mL line? What's the molar concentration? Is it secretly intended for scientist ladies out there? May I rephrase it as "Morgane Le Fay; a woman who expresses herself with her experimental results" to suit the appearance? Whatever the answer is, whatever it smells like, I still can't get pass The idea of putting laboratory solution from laboratory glassware onto my body. Pardon my wild concerns. Plase blame the bottle design that's undeniably bearing the uncanny resemblance to volumetric flasks in any chemistry lab around the world. Safety precaution: DO NOT apply this family of perfume in chemistry lab to prevent confusion that may lead to chemical poisoning. Safety first, ladies! Oops! I'm so sorry again.

Carnelian is spot on! The opening is allll cucumber!! About half an hour later the cucumber softens down and I smell some extremely light vague sweetness, but it's so vague that I can't tell what it is, but it's not coconut water or mango, it's more like the freesia/rose heart notes. So it has completely skipped over the other yummy head notes :( I poured the entire sample on my wrists and it is already so soft i really have to strain to smell it. How annoying! This is fresh and green but certainly nothing like the extravagant description implies!! And no woman is going to attract attention with something as simple, adolescent and subtle as this!

My nose is a littlle blocked, so when I tried it, I felt lily of the valley first. Then it divided into apples + cucumbers + freesia. It reminds me Yardley Royal English Daisy, for me they both are fragrances with very intensive apple note.
