Moschino Forever Sailing

This was such a pleasant surprise! I love the genre of aquatic fragrances, theoretically. But realistically, it’s really difficult to find one that’s good or different than the others. This one is good. Better than good, actually. And it IS quite unique. I feel like it’s an aromatic first, a freshie second, and an aquatic third. It’s definitely a twist on the formulaic aquatics that proliferated on the 90s and early 2000s. It’s more “nautical” than “aquatic.” If that makes sense. I get the citrus notes heavy in the opening, with nuances of mint and juniper. Neither herb is prominent and just add a supporting lift and sparkle to the citruses. Enter the lavender. This brings a smooth, elegant, almost powdery floral aspect to the fragrance as it starts to transition into the mid and drydown. Honestly, I can’t distinguish the woods, amber, or patchouli, but I do detect the musk. This is lovely. Elegant for what it is, very smooth, expertly blended and mystifyingly long lasting for this type of fragrance. A very satisfying blind buy and quite underrated. Very inexpensive too. Nothing bad or critical to say about this one at all. Solid. 8.5/10

Tacky cap, nice bottle and awesome atomizer. True to Moschino's quirky fashion. Quality presentation. This is a different kind of aquatic scent and I completely love it. The criticism of the opening is fair. A bit chemical and harsh but give it a minute to collect itself. A cool but not minty citrusy opening. Lavender quickly ramps up while the juniper gives it a tangy/spicy edge in the middle with the citrus still lingering. No aquatic notes listed but it does have that aura ever so slightly. The base is still fresh with a soft patch and musk, I still smell citrus and juniper here as well. Not completely woody to me but I could see a woody accord playing a small part. Slight ambroxan to me as well. It smells awesome and I don't particularly get the "generic" label. Awesome longevity and acceptable sillage. This to me is casual or even a work scent for all ages. Pretty versatile. I could see this definitely in summer but there are also some warm notes so may also work in cooler weather. Very affordable which is also a big plus. Dig it!

Guys, it's a nice fragrance. It's not something unique but it's still nice! And it's a great alternative to Versace's fresh ones. Someone is saying it's like soap or to harsh, to my nose it's not. Maybe a bit strong citrusy blast at opening, but it calms down after 5-10 minutes and then it's ok. I bought it at mid spring time and was really glad! Probably strong citrusy notes can be a bit cloying in a heat on a sun, but under 30C* it's totally good. Best impressions about this fragrance I got probably when I was on a beach of the sea. That moment I clearly understood why is it called "Sailing". Maybe sometimes I feel a bit low longevity, 3-4 hours on my slkin but it's not a surprise for all fresh scents. I would give solid 4 stars out of 5. Maybe even more :)

I like this one a lot. I just finished a mini and would say it's an upgrade to any of the Perry Ellis or Versace scents on the market. It's a pleasant masculine scent that isn't cloying or sweet. It's more of a fresh scent, but wouldn't consider it a pure fresh scent. I own 360 for Men by Perry Ellis which I consider to be the best of all Perry Ellis scents, and would say that Moschino Forever Sailing may have an edge on that fragrance, but it's a very close one. You'll enjoy this one if you dislike sweet fragrances, but enjoy a touch of musk to add personality and masculinity to the common fresh fragrance. ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Update: I repurchased a 1 ounce bottle for $13, and am very satisfied. This one’s vastly underrated, I think. Or at least vastly under-recommended. It has a pretty sweet citrus tone to it, but with a healthy dose of aromatic woodiness that gives it some character. I wouldn’t say it necessarily reminds me so much of sailing as much as boating on a lake in the mountains, or camping in the rain. I’m sure there are people that would disagree with that, but for me that’s what the scent conjures up. As for the longevity and sillage, it’s one of my best-performing freshies. It’s also gotten me quite a few compliments. Overall a really great scent and very affordable, too.
