Smells Like Fabuloso

I just got this and have yet to wear it yet but smelling from the atomizer, it’s truly Fabuloso detergent. I smile and chuckle every time I smell it because it’s actually funny that it really mimics that scent. There is however a “perfumey” aspect to it, a sort of airiness or lightness to it, as oppose to a thick viscosity from the original inspiration. That aspect is near negligible to the authenticity of the scent, and if smelling like laundry detergent is up your alley, I can fully endorse this. I’ll update later when I actually wear it. EDIT: first minutes wearing it, I notice it’s monstrous radiance. I sprayed twice and I knew the second spray was overkill. Very surprising. The nozzle is also nice, spraying a very fine mist. The literal detergent smell quickly transforms into an interpretation of Fabuloso; you smell the lavender and citruses separately into an admittedly much more wearable fragrance. It’s very bright and clean, lavender and citrusy, with a very tiny bit of powderiness. For the retail price, this was a win for a blind buy, but I mostly bought it for the meme. Good quality meme though.

I bought this and and WD-40 scent, mainly for the novelty. I LOVE the smell of WD-40 (the real thing) and also enjoy the smell of Fabuloso (the real thing). I can say that both products smell exactly as advertised. They are not a “perfume version” of those smells a, as some have said. They have all the strength, all of the chemical smell, and all of the grease and fumes. In the BEST way (from a novelty perspective, anyway). Fabuloso is a great scent as a cleaner, whether that’s fresh, in your face while using it to clean, or when it’s faded into the background scent of your space. It does not make a great perfume. It is also the strongest fragrance I have ever come across. All these perfumes and colognes that people have called “nuclear” have NOTHING on this one. It WILL get you noticed, but most likely not complimented. A lot of people like the smell of Fabuloso, hence the existence of this perfume. But it smells like a CLEANING product, not a perfume. Still... for the novelty, it’s only $50 and I’m THRILLED to have both of these oddities in my collection!

Full disclosure, I have never actually smelled Fabuloso. I was tickled by the idea of a perfume based on a popular cleaning product - chef's kiss. I assumed they were going to make a perfume based on or playing off of the smell of Fabuloso....Nope! This a cleaning product turned into a perfum. I am terrified to put it on. Strong scented laundry detergents frequently bother my skin and I feel my cheeks getting hot from just sniffing the closed decant bottle. Based on how the smell is radiating from the closed bottle I'm sure it's a beast.

Is it beast mode? Yes, this is a beastly concoction. Is it wearable?? Bro. Don't do it lol Look, if you want to smell like straight up laundry detergent or a household cleaning product then fuck it, knock yourself out (Not literally). It's very accurate to the smell of Fabuloso and I wouldn't consider this a "Perfume version". It's Fabuloso in spray form. Sooooooo what can it be used for? A room or car spray .....maybe as an office gag. Like if your office is carpeted, spray that shit on someone's desk and watch the confusion. They'll be looking around wondering who tf mopped a rug and why. If you're looking for a beastly lavender to actually wear, keep looking my guy. Keep looking. To clarify, it's not a bad smell at all but the chemical/soapy nature of it doesn't work well as a men's or women's fragrance. Please don't go spraying it on clothes just cause I said laundry detergent. It's more cleaning product than soap bruv. That's all I got.

Worth owning just to make my immigrant mom get a nostalgia bomb and gag. Worked like a charm.
