Alien Extraintense

It's been some time since I hesitated on buying this. I would say I agreed with the disappointed reviews when I was only testing on the paper strip. Even the first wear didn't really blow my mind, it was really underwhelming: airy and light and superficially powdery. Even though some light sweetness was noticed. BUT I had a breakdown and went full in on buying a full bottle (why???) And OMG IT'S BEEN WONDERFUL AMAZING OTHERWORLDLY It's so Warm Addictive Sophisticated yet not in a Chanel way (too clean for me sorryyyyyy) more in a, well, Mugler is a designer fragrance house so, more in a long sexy yet power-move black sleek dress something you cannot take your eyes off, something you have seen multiple times and did not seem to care but when the dress was worn your jaw dropped and it had the most amazing impression on you -> something like that I wanted it to be an everyday scent, but it's very special occasion leaning. To those who obviously compare it to Alien: everyone knows Alien, but this one, I thought it was light so I wore it on a very normal boring day of work. THE COMPLIMENTS!!! When I walked in, sat down, after like 5 minutes everyone was turning their head in every direction wondering who smelled that good, this scent leaves a tray, it's powerful, the scent deserves its bottle. NOTE: My favorite perfume ever from Mugler is (beside Angel) Alien Goddess but the Intense version. I was so sad when for months it disappeared from the shelves (happy that summer is bringing it back I was sad I thought it was discontinued!!!). Maybe this is also why I love this Extra intense so much??? NOTE 2: I grew up smelling Alien everyday on my mom. I cannot wear Alien, even though I LOVE IT. This flanker, this one I can wear!!

I own the original Alien and D&G The Only One Intense and this new flanker of Alien is nothing like D&G Only 1 Intense. The D&G fragrance is very fruity on top with green apple and neroli and orange and there is a chamomile tea vibe in the top notes. Plus the D&G is a lot more coconut and vanilla heavy than Alien extra intense. Much more tropical vacation. I find Alien extra intense to be a softer more friendly and approachable little sister of the original. Basically it is the original DNA but with a touch of bubblegum tuberose, a splash of vanilla and a whisper of coconut. It is also less green in the top notes. The petigrain has been toned down by quite a lot and I think that is why my husband prefers this version of alien, along with the extra benefits of touches of vanilla and a whisper of coconut. I find this version of Alien quite similar to my bottle of L'Erbolario Lilla Lilla without the peach and cardamom on top. In other words if you find the original Alien to be to much for you give this version a try. I may buy this in the future. I love the fragrance and the bottle. It dries down to the same exact dry down of the original. A musky amber jasmine native on another planet. A jasmine not of our planet earth. Edit; I do not find this similar to the Alien Goddess line either. I dislike that line. The cactus note is disgusting in the super Nova one and the coconut is overwhelming and synthetic in the whole line I compared them side by side at Ulta with the Original and the extra intense is the twin sister of the original.

Woah. This is def extraaa intense lmao. Reminiscent of Alien obviously, but at the same time I also feel like I’ve never smelled anything like this before in my life. Like sooooo unique in the opening and then the og dna starts to kick in more.. I’m truly taken aback rn.. Need to feel it out for a few more days to fully decide, but so far I find it very polarizing yet very addictive at the same time.. like I’m not even fully sure if I’m vibing but I can’t stop sniffing the spot I sprayed lol..... ok wait even as I’m typing I’m already starting to lean towards I think I might be obsessed?? Gonna have to test it out a bit more... Also imo it doesn’t reallyyy smell similar to goddess intense.. I understand the comparison bc that one has more of the alien dna vibe too, but this one is defff different.. way more floral heavy and just like POW lmao.. borderline chemical like? but not in a bad wayyy idk how to describe it, it’s like futuristic.. and there’s even vanilla as it continues to dry down... (u know what it actually does kinda resemble goddess intense just without the coconut) yeahhh really starting to love this even tho it’s so different from my vibe (Angel girly).. if there’s one thing I can say for sure tho it’s that this is truly otherworldly smelling. Edit: seems to last a long time too.. I sprayed it last night at 11 and now it’s 8:30 the next morning and can still smell it strong! The cashmere/vanilla combo really shine in the dry down

When Alien Extraintense first came out, it wasn’t really up my alley. I sprayed the tester on my boyfriend’s arm since my own hands and wrists were already taken up with other perfume demos. That was my first mistake. His skin chemistry is obviously different from mine, and on him, it smelled almost identical to the husk of a coconut, a little stale and woody. I didn’t get any floral notes from his arm and was honestly confused about how this could be an Alien flanker. Flash forward to earlier this week when I decided to give it another try, and I’m so glad I did. I still can’t decide which part is my favorite. I love the citrusy, tart opening that reminds me a bit of Hypersense, just without the sweetness. The mix of tuberose and jasmine is elegant, smooth, bold, and sensual. It leans more toward tuberose, and only in certain moments do I catch that familiar “Alien jasmine.” It’s still there, just softer, not the main player. The cashmere dry down feels very Alien — fuzzy, warm, soft, and comforting. I’m not really picking up much vanilla, which I was hoping for, since a touch of sweetness would have brought it closer to Essence Absolue. Still, I really enjoy this perfume. It feels like a bolder take on Alien, and if Alien had a half sister, this would be her, different in character, but sharing the same soul in the dry down.

There is no OG Alien in this. I am wearing it right now, and it is identical to Eaudemoiselle de Givenchy Extravagant, Michael Michael Kors, Oros Pour Femme and Armani Prive Rouge. OG Alien pops its head for the first 10 second upon first spray, and it gets replaced by heady tuberose there on after. All the perfumes i listed above are about 99% similar to Alien Extraintense, including their performance and longevity. With that being said, as a big Mugler fan (vintage), i can appreciate this for what it is, and one way to make this perfume deviate from the others i mentioned above is to take quick shower 20 to 30 minutes after spraying it. it will mellow out the tuberose and make it a tad different, but still very noticeable and in your face. This version of Alien is extremely sexy, but i would make sure not to wear this to the office. I suspect many coworkers would complain due to tenacity of it. I tested many recent Mugler releases in the past few days, and i am discovering that they are getting unjustly dissed, quite possibly from those who remember and cherish the OG stuff. I collect everything Mugler, and i am sad that he is gone, but the new stuff that has been coming out is very sexy and pretty, regardless. My advice is, go and test on your skin, and do not pay attention to the negative reviews.
