Update 4/18 ok don’t come for me!! I think I let my initial smell excite me!! Are the notes spot on for the oil dupe? Yes ✅ Does it project? Only for about an hour sadly! Sillage Non. Same with projection for like the first hour it feels strong like the OG, but after the first hour? It’s more of a close by or skin scent. Is it still worth it? YES ✅ I’ve been looking for something even close for three years so the fact that when I smell this I get teary eyed and happy? Thy got the notes down for this!! 💕 and Yes at least I CAN smell it on me!! And if you have a partner they will def be able to smell it and probably anyone talking to you... so it’s a DUPE!! It’s sadly not a loud dupe 😔 but at least us Alien Fusion Lovers have something now when Mercari stops having any bottled 😭 For now? I can also mix my 5 o clock Gingembre by Serge Lutens with a basic tuberose solinote? And that will sorta help!? Yo lattafa, Paris Corner etc?? Instead of making 50 versions of Delina? I can say with 💯 clarity that this blind buy gave me excited joy and relief at finally finding something close that brings me the joy of the OG alien fusion!! It’s close enough? That when I have no more bottles of my beloved? I can wear this dupe oil and still have some of the joy that AF gave me, still on my wrist even if it’s not edp level performance .. the first sniff did give some strong performance that I was surprised! I didn’t pay attention to how long it lasted yet! I Will wear tomorrow alone and update on sillage and lasting power thx to @Ricewitch, I realized AFTER I bought it that comfort crafts alien fusion oil, had a spray bottle as well! 🤦♀️ oops Omg OMG!!! I FINALLY FOUND A 99% spot on schmupe!!!! I ordered from a few perfume oil people nobody could get it right I googled and got a few names then I checked the reviews and I went with this company called: COMFORT CRAFTS (yes I was like oh boy with a name like this it will probably smell like a craft oil?) NOPE ITS THE CLOSEST SCHMUPE SO FAR and I’ve been looking for 3 years!!! It was like $25 with shipping for a roller ball (I wish it was a spray) but it’s amazing! While they vibe the same, I do find rouge malachite a scent of it's own. Much stickier, much creamier, much thicker. Fusion for me is more Translucent, more airier. Alien Fusion. I much much Prefer this to the original (both clarins version, bottom claw or Alien). Let me Tell you about performance, Clarins version. It's fills an entire room. If you really want to know how a frag performs, don't test it on yourself. Test it on a friend. And fabric. (for instance, your washable footrug). I've just sprayed some wood in the fireplace and it is projecting atleast 6 meters. I kid you not. In the scentcloud i mostly get cinnamon, tuberose or white flowers, pink pepper and lot's of VANILLA. (Some get ginger, I don't , never have never will and I owned quite a few ginger heavy frags, for me it's pepper) I sprayed that same wood also the day before in the afternoon (it's morning now) and let me tell you...that drydown! It was projecting maybe 3 meters and I thought, where is that divine vanilla scent coming from? Do I own a straight up vanilla? Me thinks not. Vanilla lovers, you KNOW what kind of vanilla i'm talking about! The vanilla in Lune Feline drydown, the vanilla in the drydown of mon guelain intense if you need specifics. Yes, that perfect, classy airy vanilla. OMG. I've been a fusion fan since it came out. Still got a back up bottle and no regrets. I was sniffing those logs like an addict. If you don't get vanilla out of it, try it on clothes or whatever you want. Trust me. You'll see. The drydown on skin is a bit more powdery as with a lot of frags. Still gorgeous! Lasts forever and ALWAYS get's me compliments from any age. I don't find this a nineties perfume at all! And i've lived those, not in diapers. To my dismay, I'm 46. Luckily I look ten years younger and dress like a twenty something. Sorry, ego talking. 🤪 I prefer niche, I hate perfumey perfumes which are in abundance in the designer world and this is just heaven. Nothing alcohol perfumey, could easily be niche. Anyway, that's my take. Just emptied my second large bottle. Third bottle i Will keep hidden for a while. A real shame they discontinued this scent. All good things must come to an end... Edit, two weeks after spraying those logs, they still smell like a gorgeous peppery vanilla. 😳

I’m just coming here to update ... almost 3 yrs after I discovered this (and lost my original fragrantica act) of course discovered this when it was already discontinued ugh of course and so I’ve spent the last 3 yrs Re-upping from sources whenever I see my precious lol I’m not a perfume collector that gets everything in front of them! I’m picky! I’m a tuberose and cinnamon LOVAAAH! So poison has been my ride or die since HS!! 88! Alien Fusion is the more serious cousin, from Europe, she doesn’t party she reads and goes to cafes! Poison is highly sexual and has a softness in there that alien fusion doesn’t? The ginger cinnamon tuberose a bit of orange blossom amber & a tiny bit of vanilla make Ms Fusion a bit more dryer...I don’t want to use the word (moist) but poison is and alien fusion is not! She’s a dry summer night!! And yes I do wear her on summer nights as well as fall! I actually prefer her on summer nights! I’m wild like that!! She fits the librarian in me perfectly!! I’m in love. And I write to Mugler.com (pls feel free fusion fans to do the same!!! I leave a review of fusion there ask why they don’t make it anymore, in my review and after my review I then write them a letter to pls bring her back!! And they say sorry every time!??? Yet they have all these other dumb alien flankers!?! wtf? (I write to them a few times a year and just end up getting hurt) So pls JOIN me in this letter writing crusade!!) to bring this baby back! This is my issue with them and L’Oréal !! They should have kept: original,alien of course goddess for beach summer gals, and fusion should be regular flankers!! But instead Mugler has no identity anymore!?? It just makes sense to keep those three as the main biatxhes and for the different seasons and the colors represent the year beautifully but nope, Mugler is dumb! Sorry rant over Ughh I shouldn’t be sharing my love of alien fusion here!! But I can’t gate keep. I spend a couple days each month trying to find sisters or cousins of her...nothing!! Mugler Alien fragrances are a very specific vibe. Alien glamour, feral confidence, seduction as a sport and a slight threat you can't name. You’re both the hero and the villain of your own sci‐fi opera. It opens like a fruit bowl flirting with a spice rack - orange blossom is there, fluttering its lashes whilst amber and vanilla are lurking politely in the background. Then, Tuberose storms in, wearing bubblegum-scented platform boots. Cinnamon and orange blossom immediately become supporting characters. The ratio is 70% tuberose, 30% orange blossom, and 100% “I didn’t realize my perfume was about to chew bubblegum and fight crime.” The ginger is technically present, but only in the way a toddler “helps” with baking. It waves a spoon around, contributes very little and disappears before the timer starts. The scent stays in its bubblegum–spice–floral era until the dry down, where amber and vanilla return to restore order. Cinnamon hangs around because cinnamon always hangs around. It’s the clingiest spice. If cinnamon were a person, it would text “hey” at 2 a.m. Projection: Strong enough to announce your presence, not strong enough to summon the police. If Alien is a foghorn, Fusion is a confident kazoo. Final Thoughts: Approved. It’s a great flanker: familiar enough to feel like Alien’s sibling, but different enough that it’s not just Alien wearing a novelty moustache. Bright opening, warm spicy-floral heart - like a cinnamon bun that went to finishing school, and then a cozy dry down. Less aggressive than Alien, so if Alien felt like being spiritually tackled, Fusion is more like a firm, respectful hug. Fusion smells like Alien after a spa weekend: still powerful, still slightly weird, but calmer and wearing a robe. If you love Alien but want something lighter and spicier, Fusion delivers. If Alien was too much for you, Fusion might be the gateway Mugler that you didn’t know you needed. Prepare for obsession. It's Mugler, it's an easy love.

This is probably my #2 favorite perfume of all time. I don’t like the original Alien at all but LOVE this one. Lately the original Alien has taken on a powdery, soapy scent to me, but Fusion has no soapiness whatsoever. It’s not nearly as cloying or aggressive as the original Alien- to me that’s a good thing but I know a lot of people say they are disappointed with the projection and lasting power. I am not. I’m prone to migraines so I tend to appreciate fragrances that don’t incapacitate the wearer and those in close proximity. I do spray a good bit - if I want it to really project I do 8-10 sprays, 2-4 if I’m trying to be more subtle. I bought it at a discount and have 3 backup bottles so this is not a problem for me. It lasts about 6 hours on my skin, longer on clothes. I can get a few more hours out of it if I really overspray. As for the notes I mainly get cinnamon and jasmine. The cinnamon is not a dry, nose-assaulting one but a sweet one. The jasmine is the typical Alien jasmine. I know it’s listed as orange blossom and tuberose but I’m calling it jasmine bc it smells the same to me as the “jasmine” in og Alien. In the dry down the amber comes through but the jasmine and sweet spicyness are still there. I wear this anywhere, anytime - on the spectrum of Aliens this is pretty light and agreeable so I think it works for most occasions, other than the gym or church. I hope they don’t ever discontinue this or I will be lost. Four samples directly from Mugler. Review and comparisons: Spices: Ginger: gone in 3 mins. max. Cinnamon: faint. So, if you don’t like spices, it’s probably safe. If you’re buying it FOR the spices, you’ll probably be disappointed. Performance: Abysmal and it really ticks me off. Not OK! BUT I have an irrational relationship w/ Mugler: so I’lI probably get a big bottle. 🙄 OG Alien comparison: -Same skeleton w/ the simple pyramid. Instead of jasmine, it’s tuberose. -Retains the amber. Substitutes the base (cashmeran) w/ a not gourmand vanilla. -Slight dusting of powder. - I almost like this more than the reformulated Alien. (But again, performance.) -Fusion has the OG “grapey-ness” and no diaper. Rouge Malachite comparison: For context, IMO RM is overrated and not that similar to Alien. It’s not as bright. RM is a tuberose bomb. Fusion’s tuberose is soft and tolerable, so if you’re not crazy about that note, I think you’ll be okay with Fusion. I just don’t think RM is worth 4x the price of Fusion, even if discounted. It’s just not that similar to Alien, or I would consider it. I think Amouage Journey is more similar to Alien than RM. Again, not enough for me to get it as a substitute. In conclusion: Fusion is softer and has better manners than OG Alien. It’s the best Alien flanker still on the market. Emphasis on ‘still on the market.’ After testing the common dupes, I’m going to get this one because it’s the closest. It is divine, in its own right though. I’m gonna get it and blast myself with 16 sprays because I cannot be helped. Hope this helps! —— Edit: Yes. I got a FB and no regrets. Yes. @ ihomi25 below me... I’m afraid she may have gotten a fake bottle! 😢 even if you get a semi old bottle this perfume stays spicy! I hope she gets to try a good bottle! But it’s getting harder. And harder to find!! I like to update my review every six months in the hopes that Mugler will STOP with the same ole same ole original Alien flankers no one likes, and to PLEASE for the love of goddess, bring this one back! I also write to them every six months! So ppl if you love this like I do? Pls write to them on their site! 💕 It’s so infuriating that all the perfumes ppl pick in the “this smells like” section? Are all perfumes that smell like the original alien and not the Fusion! I fell in love with this after they’d stopped making it in 2022. And I pick up a bottle whenever I see one! So I got thru about two 2.5oz bottles per yr! I wear it mostly in fall winter but also summer nights! I’ve looked high and low and I can’t find any perfume even similar!! 😢 if anyone knows?? People give suggestions like Armani rouge malachite etc but it’s not the same without the cinnamon! They’re like cousins... I look on here and I use the notes and I tried to narrow it down by the notes and I literally cannot find something with the orange blossom, ginger, cinnamon, tuberose and vanilla combo. Nothing even close.... My heart is breaking... anyone knows if anything similar please let me know. Inbox me here!! 💕 and just so you have an idea of my taste. This scent creates an alluring sweet, warm, spicy, ambery scent bubble that feels rich and intoxicating and sexy. But it only gives me that effect in the right weather which is warm/hot humidity. It kind of lingers in the dense humid air wheres other fragrances can just evaporate or get eaten up in that climate. When I first bought this it was a hot dry summer and although I thought it smelled nice it didn't last or project, as I said it was nice but I didn't notice the real beauty until I wore it in humid weather. That's wear it truly shines. It's perfect for a hot humid summer night, when you're dressed up and want to feel sexy and slightly exotic. In cold weather I found it was just sweet and short lived not that special. Some perfumes really are weather dependent, I've found to get the best out of them. It can sit on your shelf for years in the "just ok" category until you wear it in the right climate and boom. Heaven Fusion definitely has the Alien dna but it's softer, less intense because it's not a hardcore jasmin heavy hitter like the og (comparing to vintage og) it's warmer with a little spice from the cinnamon/ginger and the tuberose gives me a tiny bit of a tropical sunscreen vibe. It's more like a cloud that you catch in the air rather than a punch in the face that the OG gives... I like the strong OG punch btw, that's just my comparison 9/10

i love this fragrance 😍 the cinnamon doesn’t jump that much for me. it’s barely detectable. but the tuberose, ginger, orange blossom & amber are a million dollar combo wow. i actually find this to be better than og alien, which i also love. this one is like a younger hot & fun sister to alien. it’s more wearable, also sweet & soft. from the second it is sprayed to the dry down it is an absolutely heavenly smell👅 the vanilla comes out later and plays wonderfully with the other notes. somehow it still has alien dna, probably with the beautiful amber. it lasts decent, a good 4-5 hrs, but not as long as og alien or other mugler fragrances, which last up to 12-14 hours on me usually. the bottle is gorgeous, & the scent is warm, spicy and sweet. i have seen comparisons to libre intense, a perfume i also have, & i do not see much of a resemblance on me between the two. in my opinion it is safe to buy this one if u also have that one. i would say it is a safe blind buy if u love og alien, & generally like sweet scents. this is for sure going to be a dumb reach for me. the floral & amber mix is to die for! this is my favorite flanker so far. i love it as of now in cold weather, & i’m guessing it’s going to be just as good during the summer. i am not surprised by all the great reviews! what a gem. hope everyone has a great year💕💕

Let me start off by saying I thoroughly dislike original Alien. Yes, I am a fan of Mugler but not of original Alien. I came across this Alien flanker haphazardly and because of the beautiful red bottle (and the hyperbolic reviews just about everywhere) I wanted to have a first impression of the scent, so I after the first spay I was hooked! Yes this one contains the same DNA as the original BUT it's definitely no the same smell (thankfully). Original Alien feels very masculine and strong, almost gag-inducing while A Fusion is an alluring, feminine, spicy-gourmand scent that I absolutely love!! Upon initial spray the cinnamon and ginger come across very strong but as the heart notes appear, the scent of the white flowers emerge harmonizing with the spicy notes adding sweetness to the mix, finally as the base notes settle down it leaves an almondy-vanilla scent that lasts forever on my skin and clothes. Two perfumes that come to mind (other than the original Alien) after smelling this scent are: Love by Chloe and Hypnotic Poison. Love by Chole is definitely a more floral scent while Hypnotic Poison is more of a gourmand scent, none of them are exactly like A fusion but are on the same vibe. All three are amazingly long-lasting and intoxicatingly delicious to the point of addiction. 10/10 for me!!!

This is sooooo much better than the original to me and sadly I didn’t discover this until 8/22, they already stopped making it! So for the past year I’ve been buying bottles Off of eBay and Mercari. I’ve bought about four bottles the last year and a half. Sadly my first was a loreal grr. The rest were, Finally the og clarins made.... Omg it’s Beautiful! I don’t get it!? out of all the aliens how they could discontinue THIS one!? and the people with negative Reviews ? I don’t get you. Ha Watch Mila perfume reviews she loved this one too and she was a major alien lover!? This? I can immediately smell the ginger and the cinnamon yes there is orange blossom but not overly done ! it helps the spice to pop! And the tuberose rolling about the spices? Lovely not overly done! So feminine so sexy so perfect! I was a Poison lover for like 20 plus years! This perfume? Bumped my poison off the top of the list....and it’s gone I’m literally annoyed AF at Mugler/Loreal ...I’m dealing with dupe oil houses but no one can get this spot on. people said Linterdit Rouge is close? Nope!! I’m just tired of buying it overpriced on Mercari 😢 Grrr BRING THIS BACK!!!! And Mugler??! Pls buy your perfumes back!!! Loreal sucks with perfume!!!

Unusual, like an alien. Opening is very loud and sharp, definitely get the cinnamon and amber, maybe ginger but it’s more a general sharpness. There is no sweetness, you feel like you won’t be able to pull this scent off. After about 30 seconds it settles down and stays linear, don’t mind linear. To my nose the cinnamon is the most prominent. You continue getting the amber which it trying to warm it up but it stays distant, cold. I get powder and woodiness, it is also a very, very dry scent. A tiny bit of sweetness comes through from the vanilla and after hours of wear a bit of the bubblegum tuberose but I have to search for it. If I didn’t know it was in the notes I probably wouldn’t notice it. Projects and long lasting especially in hair, 12+ hours. Best in cool weather. Wore it once in the heat and it developed into a 1950s polyester slip grandma wore and donated to the op shop. If you were to take Obsession, get rid of all the sweetness and just let the cinnamon stay, it’s kind of like that. Also has an incense vibe. I picture being on a dry, red, cold, dusty distant planet in darkness, where there is the faintest glow of light. Mysterious and magnetic. ❤️👽🪐🪵🫚☄️❄️

My hate for Mugler/Loreal grows daily 😭 I just want my Alien Fusion back this perfume literally defines me warm and a bit spicy with a pure vanilla heart (not not sickly sweet nor gourmand thank god) .....they make a flanker that’s sucks yearly... just bring back fusion it’s the perfect constant companion to the OG alien!! For aesthetics alone? Mugler should keep fusion on the rotation!! If YSL Libre still makes most f its stupid flankers? As does My Way?? Why can’t you keep AF as a constant seller? Grrri have never been this upset about a discontinued fragrance 😔 I still can’t find a dupe for this and this has been my signature for the last three years but it’s getting harder to find old bottles! Seriously Mugler needs to take six months or once a year maybe for the holidays? and provide ALL the flankers that were a hit, and sell them again so people can stock up!! Hmm since this weird update on this page!? THEY DELETED my recent December or January review discussing how I mail Mugler as much as possible!? I get that flankers are imoortant to keep up with the times BUT when you have such a fan favorite? There needs to be an alien lineup!! Not a new one yearly!! It should be: original alien, fusion, goddess... period the end!! Mugler has nothing for us spicy cinnamon lovers and this was it!!?? So again, people if you miss it?? PLS KEEP WRITING TO MUGLER! I do so every six months I may add Loreal to the list to write to!!? Also if you know of anything 95% close?? Email me here 😭 or if you have excess of bottles email me... **it’s saying ALOT when this perfume knocked out my long term favorite (Poison been wearing every fall since I was 17 in 1987 ha) it’s literally my new favorite and then stopped 😭 I’ve never ever got mentholated NOR Grape lol no f way!, from this tuberose? As someone said below? To me? It’s so well blended!! The tuberose works with the spiced amber vanilla so that it almost does not feel floral! 💕 bring it back ha

i was a huge fan of the og alien, i literally finished the entire 60ml bottle within 2 weeks.. i’m not kidding LMAO 😂 i was looking forward to buying a second bottle, but i was more intrigued with the flankers. alien fusion caught my eyes the most, the notes and reviews of this were just so promising. but as always, this was another blind buy (covid 🥴). so i got the 30ml version, because i thought that was the smart move.. plus the teeny tiny bottle looks so adorable. but omg.. THIS IS AMAZING! WOW. i might like this more than the original. i agree with the reviews below me, there’s a gourmand twist going on here. it’s actually really yummy. it’s spicy, warm, and it still has the alien dna in here.. the jasmine is strong, just like the og one. it smells like a freshly baked cookie, that just came right out of the oven.. again, like mentioned in the previous reviews.. which is so so accurate. sillage and longevity are moderate on me. definitely a 10/10 from me. already in my favorites, and will probably stay there forever 😬😬

Alien DNA is in full force in Fushion with amber, orange blossom, and vanilla notes as only Mugler can do, and is easily recognizable. I could swear this was Alien - this is a tricker ! Soon came a soft cinnamon spice - not breathtaking and dominating , a zest of ginger- a nice zing to enliven the amber and vanilla syrup. The tuberose combined makes me envision a high end - if there is such a thing - perfumed bubble gum, dusted with a very fine and subdued flavored and scented cinnamon dust - almost candy like is the cinnamon, red but not red hot. My wishes are that this fragrance would have a stronger performance in throw / longevity of throw - louder in tuberose. More heated . I wanted this to be more of a heavy hitter. To knock me, and everyone in my wake over that it seemed to promise as I first spritzed. This is quieter than I would expect given the notes, being a flanker of Alien. I do reapply 2 - 3 times a day. I give the sillage 7/10 , the longevity 7/10 , though I do love the fragrance itself ever so much.

Lots of delicious OG Alien DNA with a little something extra. It isn't as syrup-sweet like the Goddess flanker line; similarly, it is a lot more nuanced than the jasmine-vanilla of the latter as well. Once Fusion dries down, the cinnamon and ginger give it a slightly powdery feel, which I think is a very welcome addition to the Alien line. It is so sad that this was such a short lived flanker because it is so unique, even with the references to the original. I don't think any companies are making flankers anymore and that is pretty tragic in its own right. If this fragrance were released today, I think it would do really well as it is in line with what is popular (sweet with white floral) without being samey. Don't they realize that the Mugler that pushed back against the mainstream sells as well as whatever jasmine syrup concoction they come up with? I know I sound like a broken record but it boggles the mind. It must just be so much cheaper to produce simpler things and convince folks they're good.

Wow, this is a beautiful bomb! I have to start by saying that my skin just seems to drink perfumes up. Whatever I apply, it's gone in no time. Even oriental (as in Arabic) perfumes do not stick to my skin. I was reading the reviews regarding Alien Fusion, which I had smelled before and knew I enjoyed, but had never sampled properly (wear test etc), so I was very happy to get it in a swap. I applied the tiniest spray at 9 AM today and it was radiating loudly and beautifully off my arm. It is now 17.15. Eight hours later and it's still going strong and it hasn't even become a skin scent yet. Rather, it dried down to a bit of a powdery, spicy yet "electric" blend. It is a bit of a winter perfume, at least for my standards, because the sweetness is quite strong in this one in spite of the fact it's not toothache in a bottle, and also it is very robust. To those in the comments who say this is a weak perfume: I don't know what you got or what happened there, but on me this is a monster performer.

Many people made up their minds about this fragrance because they thought it was released by loreal but apparently they took over in 2020 and this was released in 2019... so maybe consider that a lot of the hate is actually just misinformed judgement? OK. So in MY opinion...Fusion is the BOMB. It lasts forever. It doesn't give me a headache like the others. It's sexy AF. It does resemble some other fragrances with orange blossom..(in literally every perfume) but it is perfectly blended and unique..due to the spices and ginger. It's so so good. My favorite and only alien. Can be worn all year around but most seem to find it best in fall and winter. Did I say sexy AF. I first tried this at a modeling job and all the "boys" were crazy about it. Don't blind buy this expecting it to be a predominantly cinnamon or ginger fragrance. Those notes have been added to the original Alien DNA. You're still getting Alien. Just a version with some subtle spices and a fresh/youthful Tuberose.

I have not yet tried Alien, as the one sniff I had of it in store was not pleasing, but I love Alien Fusion. I find the initial spray to be very spicy and sharp. This is well-balanced by the floral notes, which smell reminiscent of honeysuckle to me. As the scent settles down, the vanilla scent comes out more. The projection is significant early on, but after a couple of hours it's more of a skin scent. I find the fragrance to be relaxing. It does have the feel of being related to perfumes worn by older ladies in the 90s, but that's never bothered me. ;) I always wear what makes me happy, even if the lady at the perfume counter says "No, that's an old-fashioned scent. Here, try this new perfume for young people." And I proceed to hate their recommendations and go back to my beloved spicy amber oriental types of perfumes. (I'm in my mid-30s anyways. An overly sweet floral isn't going to make me seem any younger.)
