Alien Mirage

This is a clean version of alien with the addition of a cold vanilla. It is pretty and feminine with that special alien twist. Simply put: smells like a daytime version of alien + cold vanilla. Beautiful!! Lasts long in my skin. The DNA is true to alien, which I love, so it still feels a little oomph when I wear it. Yes the notes are different, but somehow still smells like alien when I compare them when they begin to dry. Maybe the amber.. Not sure how that happens. I would say Mirage is more 'comforting' as a scent. Bright + airy, but warm at the same time. It has a underlying sweetness because of the vanilla, but not sickly sweet at all. I love this more as it begins to dry down and settle into my skin, and as it drys down it reveals more sweetness in contrast to the beginning which is a more alien with a mineral/solar twist. I mostly smell it when I sniff the bottle, kind of sun screen vibe, but this part doesn't really appear on my skin. I really appreciate it and the whole soft journey. I recommend this for spring/summer mostly but can be worn year round. I'd say it's definitely less 'weird' than when I think of mugler. It is more mainstream, easy to take in. Day/night all year round no fuss. I feel that I smell unique, but I'm not worried about offending anyone or coming on too heavy. It lasts around 7-8 hours on me which is long lasting enough for my preference. I've noticed it lasts wayy longer on my skin compared to my other flankers that are in the same vibe group Flora futura, fusion, extrodinare. Often I put mirage on before bed, and I still smell it in the morning. Any of the other flankers I mentioned are gone before morning when I have used it for bed. Beautiful bottle!! The picture does not do it justice. It's a purple to light blue ombre from the bottom to top. Gorgeous. If you like clean airy scents + vanilla, and the original alien is a bit too strong for your senses, this one is a beautiful option and easy blind buy. However, if you like very bold scents (aliens: oud, musc, etc), and you don't like anything that is softer or "mainstream" than the original alien, you will probably not like this. I brought 4 backup bottles. Yup. I'm obsessed.

Beggining is clean, as in good washing powder clean and mineral. Did you ever lick a salt lamp? Opening is an almost like salt lamp licking and putting your nose in a washing powder container. ALMOST is the key word here as both "feelings" are perfectly balanced and you cannot quite put a finger on what you actually smell. Luxurious clean smell don't get me wrong! But after a second there comes a beautiful lotos note. Just stunning, aquatic, wet. It transforms into something sweeter for a moment. Soapy, sweet and clean? You know the generic floral bath bombs from drugstores? Or a higher-end lotos hand soap? That's that exactly. A citrusy-ish freshness comes just after. Here I started recognizing the classic Alien DNA. I could swear I smell jasmine at this point - but there is no jasmine in the notes list :D Mirage starts giving hints like jasmine, orange blossom, some amber for sure and again a little bit of salt lamp or bath salts. It isn't the cloying and overly sweet white florals and amber combo that recent years releases tend to gravitate towards. This is pure class. After 10 minutes we are left with a performance of an "almost" things: almost salty, almost metallic, almost sweet, almost floral, almost fresh spicy, almost ambery/woody, almost plasticky even! Among whole Alien line this has to be the most alieny creature of all of them :) A hint from me: if you want a quicker graduation to an almost everything zone - spray it on the body if you want to stay in the divine mineral / Ganymede-ish zone of the top notes - spray it on your clothes. Haven't had a chance to be impressed by a sheer construction of perfume for a long time now... I normally wear fresh spicy or rose perfumes. I recommend trying Alien Mirage if you want to have fun for at least 3 hours and keep guessing what notes you smell at the moment. Alien Mirage to me is a mixture of: classic Alien (white florals + amber), Ganymede (mineral notes), CK Reveal (the saltiness & pepper) Definitely a beautiful unisex frag. Imo for a formal setting or desk/office job. Nonoffensive but detectable, clean but cozy, elegant but flirtatious and so so so unique!

I recently spotted a bottle of Mirage mistakenly placed next to its Goddess sisters under the glass counter at a Macy's. I asked to test it because I knew it for what it really was, and even the worker did not know what it was! Mirage has long been unavailable in stores. I was smitten from the first sniff and went home after, immediately looking to purchase a bottle of this discontinued beauty. The bottle I acquired was new in box and the liquid has turned a dark golden shade, just like my old Aliens. The lavender blue ombre of the glass is still visible and looks so much better than in pictures. Mugler smells like the Mugler of old! A unique but incredibly wearable melange of cold water and moist flowers. The original Alien EDP base is very prevalent, and it smell like the best of the CFG formulation, with a stronger sweeter jasmine and less of the golden ambery cashmere of the Thierry Mugler formulation. I think the early CFG formulation might actually be my favorite, though I still keep bottles of the original vintage too. Layered alongside are a cool, smooth lotus reminiscent of good-quality skin creams and juicy sweet syringa that reminds me of the fruity-green- white florals in Aura, another of CFG/Mugler's masterpieces. In a way, Mirage is the intersection of Alien EDP and Aura EDP because it delivers the best of both's signature florals. On top of this, though, I get a glacial, sharp mineral accord, along the lines of CK2. Definitely aquatic and mineralic but NOT like seawater a la Olympic Orchids Kingston Ferry or Nishane Boszporusz. More like sniffing river rocks that you just plucked out of the water. Compared to Alien EDP, Mirage is sweeter and fresher without being lighter, unlike prior summer flankers. Mirage is a little weird and I love it for that. However, Mirage is also very wearble. I think this is what makes it quintessentially Mugler.

This is so damn good! Mirage is an apt name for this flanker and the colour of the bottle is also very fitting as well. This beautiful blue gemstone holds a refreshing and unusual composition which, whilst it lends itself perfectly to warmer weather, is still fantastically wearable during the cooler months as well. As always with Mugler (well, pre L'Oreal..) this has an unusual note in it which is apparent all the way through the various stages of development on skin, the opening is bright and airy; mineral notes are instantly apparent and give off a "humid" vibe while pink pepper gives a sharp snap before I get a mix of lotus, syringa and this odd "custardy" floral note which then starts to smell a little bit like hot tarmac/petrol to me, I know that sounds repulsive but its oddly addictive and blends beautifully with the mineral notes, after a good 4 hours some hinoki and amber pad the base out, but the mineral petrol notes and humid feel are still very much present on my skin, there is something in this which does hint that it is indeed an Alien flanker, but I cant quite point out what it actually is, well, at least on my skin anyway. Longevity is EXCELLENT on my skin giving 8 hours of wear with a moderate silage, there is something very typical of Mugler about this and I LOVE it, its very clear that this was made prior to CFG selling Mugler to L'Oreal, whilst I do like Alien Goddess, I am so dissapointed that this wasn't made a permanent offering and that a limited edition Alien flanker wasn't released again this year, I'll treasure every drop of this wonderful creation! Also, any other fellow Zelda fans also think that the Alien bottles look like Rupees? will be totally honest and say that was the whole reason why I tried the OG Alien in the first place haha!

What a rare gem. Usually most lighter, summery Alien flankers are basically Alien lite + another fresh fruity or floral note. Which is not a bad thing, but a little predictable. Mirage is different. It has some of the Alien DNA, but less of it than other fragrances from this line. And it goes through different phases. In the opening it's most recognizable as one of Mugler's Aliens, but also very aquatic and mineralic. Lovely fresh lotus and other light florals lift the scent, while the mineral notes remind me of wet stones. The scent paints a serene, calming scene of a spring in the woods surrounded by flowers. But there is also the amber, or should I say vanilla? Because I honestly don't get much of a balsamic note here, just creamy, cool vanilla. Like ice cream. Hinoki woods play hide and seek, sometimes the scent turns quite green and woody, and then I don't that at all. At times Alien Mirage shows similarities with Mugler Aura, but less sweet and without the fruitiness. In other moments it's salty and creamy, reminiscent the drydowns of fragrances like Rabanne Olympéa and CK Reveal. It's a cooling scent with a warm background hum. Ideal for spring and summer, but it still smells nice now in fall and it seems like it lasts longer today than when I sampled it in the warmer months. This is so hard to find and rare in Germany, neither Douglas nor Galeria has it, only Müller. Is it like that in other countries too? If so, what a bad decision, this is the best lighter flanker of Alien I have smelled so far.

I've struggled to describe Mirage. It's just SO unique. But today during a walk while smelling my wrist obsessively (lol) it suddenly occurred to me! That unique part of the smell that's so hard to describe is something I've tasted (yes, TASTED) before... Then it came to me; Electrolyte drops you add in water! The way they taste like and even change the texture of the water, is exactly how the mineral note in Mirage smells like and even changes the 'texture' of the smell! It's a great perfume if you don't want to wear anything too feminine or masculine. It's not fresh in a sense like some "light and fresh" perfumes are, because the mineral note gives that special 'effect' to it. It's not like fresh air, it's more like humid seaside air on a cloudy day - just without the seagulls and the sea! But it's still a fragrance you can wear casually, anywhere and everywhere. Mirage was a blind-buy to me. I ordered Alien Fusion around the same time. I thought Fusion was the safer bet and Mirage a total gamble. But it turns out I actually prefer MIRAGE over Fusion! I can totally wear this. And I will add it to my "Easy to wear" category of perfumes, with Toy II and Light Blue. In a way Mirage should have been a scent of its own. So if you're an Alien fan looking for a good ALIEN flanker, then this might not be for you. I do detect Mugler DNA in this, but not so much Alien DNA. This is in a category of its own, and extremely unique.

First impressions review: This is officially my first Mugler, so I'm very excited about that! Honestly, I love this perfume. I sampled it a few times at Ulta, and ended up purchasing it. A lot of people are saying this smells nothing like the original Alien, however I recently tried the newest (l'oreal) version of Alien just to see if it was worth purchasing. Mirage actually smells similar to the current Alien formulation in my opinion. And while Alien only lasted for a couple hours tops on a test card, Mirage lasted up to a week, so there's that. I've never smelled the OG Alien, but I'm sure if that's what you're used to then Mirage probably smells quite different... But I digress. To me this is a very aquatic, beachy fragrance. Like being in Monterey on a hot summer day. The ocean air, mixed with cypress trees and blooming flowers. The opening is salty minerals, then you get the flowers and wood. In the dry down a creamy vanillac amber comes through to give a little warmth. I don't really know why so many people seem to dislike this so much. If you're a fan of beachy scents WITHOUT coconut or some other tropical fruit (like me) then you will probably like this. It is light, feminine, and beautiful. Also, this sort of reminds me of BBW Saltwater Breeze. Same sort of beachy vibe, although not as nice as Alien Mirage

After a bunch of outright fail or just meh blind buys, I'm so happy to have purchased this and to have renewed faith in perfume LOL. For reference, I'm a die hard fan of the old formulation of the OG Alien and had no problem choking myself out with it years ago lol. This scent does not directly remind me of the Alien DNA but more the vibe of Alien at first spray. It definitely has an aquatic lean but for someone who generally does not like wearing aquatics, this aspect is very wearable and turned down. Best description is that a few minutes in, Mirage is definitely a less sharp, warmer weather/lighter Alien and oh so lovely. I much prefer this to Alien Goddess Intense, which, while having a very distinct OG Alien current through it, has a watered down je ne sais quoi. Mirage, on the other hand, at least makes a statement (not for wallflowers). And isn't that what most diehard Alien fans want? EDIT: Moon nymph below me described this perfectly! A marriage proposal in the rain and a non typical aquatic. I may need to buy a back up bottle (only two sprays into my first bottle lol) before it totally disappears from circulation

Fluffy is the correct word to describe this feminine new scent by Mugler. It is all so refreshing with very pronounced Mineral notes and the added main floral Syringa note. The moderate Woody-Lemony Cypress note gives a nice Earthy vibe as well. I really love the Lotus in this. It is balancing and beautiful with its botanical, watery, floral essence. On my skin the Amber is quite noticeable on the dry down which is light and not at all heavy. The Pepper in this is also very light but it is detectable which to me is great for balancing this otherwise otherworldly composition. I at first ordered a sample from Mugler.com. I loved it so much I have ordered a full bottle because I know this will be reached for often in Summer. Especially for night time here in humid Florida. It sort of reminds of Guerlain's Aqua Allegoria Line but with better performance. The sillage is huge at first becoming more moderate on the dry down. The longevity is excellent considering it is an EDT. I highly recommend this to anyone wanting a refreshing, balancing yet alluring fragrance. A definite 10+.

Alien Mirage smells like a marriage proposal during summer rain. Your tears are mixing with raindrops as a wave of bliss takes over the pit of your stomach. Or like Darcy's heartfelt, rain-soaked confession in Pride and Prejudice. A "love at first sniff" fragrance. This is absolutely one of those just immediate "oh my god... YES" favourites. It is an absolute world apart from other aquatic floral scents. This is without a doubt, THE most elegant and genuinely feminine aquatic I've ever smelled. It's "blue" without being overly masculine, but "blue" in a dreamy, romantic way. That said, a man in this could absolutely ruin my life, lol. Watery and more delicately refined than oceanic. More reminiscent of a lotus flower floating on a natural body of still water, or midsummer rainwater falling quietly on an English garden, than the more chaotic bluntness of seaweedy, algae, in-your-face *ocean*. The only bad thing about this fragrance is that it is discontinued. My heart is broken.

Alien Mirage: a fragile, standoffish beauty that was Clarins' good-bye kiss to Mugler. The zing of pink pepper at the start, floral facets in the middle (chiefly of lilacs, watery-reminiscent of En Passant), and the transparent yet billowy musk of the base in this remind me of my beloved "Love, Chloe". Not many people talk about the use of musk in Alien since it's to be believed that "white amber" (aka the wonderful molecule of cashmeran) is all there is in the base notes, but I notice there is always a tiny bit of musks running through Alien as an invisible scaffolding, more obvious in those summer flankers like Sunessence, which always morphs into a ghost of Narciso Rodríguez's For Her on my skin. Alien Mirage is markedly less powdery and appears brighter than "Love, Chloe" but still contemplative in style; offering an arresting charm in its minerality. It stands out in the Alien lineup as an odd one out, aquatic and summer-friendly but is neither citrusy nor melon-y.

Let's be real: if you spray this and immediately whine about "pickle juice," pack up your basic travel sprays and go back to the mass-market sugar bombs. Your nose is untrained, and you are cluttering the comment section. Alien Mirage is how you actually do a flanker. It doesn't lazy-copy the original's massive, syrupy grape-jasmine. Instead, it translates that exact same eerie, otherworldly feeling into a cold, wet storm. The opening is a metallic, mineral slap. It smells like a heavy desert rain hitting hot concrete. The floral note here isn't soft, sweet, or pretty—it's a clean, watery lotus flower that feels totally weightless. The dry down of Hinoki wood and salt wraps you in a comforting, mineral skin scent that makes you want to keep sniffing your arm. It is light, but it is not a boring "freshie." It is a clean, quiet oasis. Buy your backups before they are gone forever. If you are in the "pickle" crowd, keep moving. This was never made for you anyway.

Oh this is a LOVE for me ! at first we have that sea breeze rain mist, but right underneath we get the Alien signature amber, minus the jasmine...I do not find it peperry at all..for me this is a version that stands out, a mix of warm and fresh, and not like fruity fresh, more like a warm breeze by a tropical garden..,it has a touch of a unisex moment, it is short lived...this has a bit of Aura also, and reminds me of Extase Nina Rocci in the marine vibe, this is different, interesting, my husband thought it smelled very nice...although it doesn’t project with strength, it lingers good, with a smooth salty amber..the lotus flower stands out , and mixed in with the amber, it is a delightful mix..I can’t believe some find it generic...no, it isn’t..all the flankers so far have been interesting, and this is actually a great smelling perfume. UP DATE: it developed a unisex marine undertone on me, so I gave it to a friend..

This should have gotten so much more attention, and been marketed much better. It's honestly a gem in the Mugler range and their most unique Alien yet. When I wear this I cannot help but sniff myself..I must look ridiculous xD It oscillates between coldness and warmth..Upon first sniff you get an impression of sea air, and with the dry down you get a soft, almost fluffy vibe that I have heard discribed. With all the attention that fragrance in general has gotten, in part due to quarantine and lockdown making a lot of us stir crazy and more apt to blindbuy, this really could have been a smash...Eau Croisiere as well...shame. For a general summary, this is a must-sniff. You will smell feminine, but an interesting and layered feminine. Marketed for summer, but the amber and wood base notes could carry this throughout the year. Backup worthy, I must say.

I blind bought this for the stunning bottle! I tried to talk myself out of it, but I went with the urge. I also got it for an amazing price I like the OG, yet a little too strong for me, so thought this may be a good compromise. I was absolutely correct! I got the fresh laundry vibe upon initial spray (which is what I get with the OG Alien), and I can definitely tell the Alien DNA is there (although only ONE note, Amber, links the two). There are glimpses of warmth with the pink pepper on top, otherwise this perfume is cold as ice. It’s sophisticated and snobby, yet oddly enough, I catch the egg scent people keep mentioning. It’s not off putting; if you know to look for it, you’ll find it. If you want an easy, everyday wear and like the original - ignore the shade and pick this up.

There's a reason @SailorV has a big fat bouquet of balloons. I agree with everything she said except the last paragraph, because here in the good ole US of A, I bought 2 bottles, 5 days apart directly from Mugler USA at 40% off with a little too much ease. I bought it, loved it, and decided I needed a back up ASAP because the words "Last Chance Sale" alarm me into thinking they're going to do something dumb like discontinue this masterpiece. I love me some acquatic scents, and this doesn't disappoint. The vanilla + sea salt combo reminds me of Olympea, but much more well executed and balanced (sorry not sorry Mr. Rabanne). For an EDT, the longevity is impressive, around 5-6 hours. Blind buy and back-up bottle worthy.

Imagine a secluded beach, somewhere with no name. Tall cliff behind, tall evergreen trees on top, overlooking the vastity of the ocean. You are sunbathing, inhaling the iodine particles lifted in the air by the never ending motion of waves gently lapping at the shore. Somewhere, for sure, white flowers must have bloomed because you definitely can pick up their scent. It lingers around light but detectable, as a kite riding the breeze. It's a beautiful day, and you care not for the clamour of the world. You feel ethereal as the breeze, untouchable and free. Anyone looking at you right now would think in fact that you are a mirage. Spellbounding suave.

I got this in the early spring and I did not like it, the mineral notes, lotus and something else was off putting. I don’t know if it’s because it’s been a few months or the weather is suitably hot for it now that it’s July but I did a tester spray on one wrist and 5 min later went back to spray the rest on me. The previous reviewer mentioned cucumber lotion and I think I know what she means! It is cucumber-esque but much nicer and more (aquatic) floral. I don’t notice the mineral notes very much in the heat. Longevity seems average and projection is maybe an arms length. Not bad for an EDT. I’m surprised how much more I like this since the spring!

A mysterious mineral and lotus gemstone, filled within its blue glass with a crisp rust-colored liquid. Immediately, the mineral notes tingle your nose upon application and the lotus glows bright, continuing to do so even the next day. the sillage and potency of this scent really pleased me. Really overjoyed with this perfume. Gives me the impression of a vampire that lives in a desert... Hot, dry, cold, mineral, inorganic. It would absolutely be Diane Lefanu's signature scent. absolutely wonderful ! Immediately has become one of my favourite perfumes. i have to restock on more, it's so sad that it has been released only as a limited run:(

To me this is not really an Alien, there's no jasmine, yet it has something that does make me think of the reformulated Alien. It's a bit synthetic purple flower, verging on a pollen like feeling with something almost smelling like bath salts with dry woods. This has a heavy dense musk too which gives it a lot of texture and a dry but slightly creamy feel. I like this one, it's very different, not an Alien but fine, an interesting flanker. To me this doesn't smell at all natural, maybe that's why it's an Alien? I wear it in the summer mainly. It can be a little cloying at times because of the heavy feel of it but longevity is great.

Please don't judge this fragrance based off the first whiff from the nozzle. The nozzle smells like a pickle......tangy/funky. This fragrance needs time to release its absolute beauty. Its definitely aquatic with the lotus. It also has hints of saltiness that I love in fragrance. The dry down is stunning. This fragrance is definitely unique. It's fresh and floral.....aquatic and salty bur dries down powdery all without losing strength. It's strong but not overpowering. It does have a slight hint of Olympea......its the saltiness. The lotus is definitely the floral strength here I absolutely love this.

absolute love at first sniff. i think it's supposed to be giving the beach, but it's more like the beach was juxtaposed on another world entirely: hidden just beyond a cavern curtained by a gentle waterfall, decorated with boundless flourishing trees and vines and flowering bushes and intensely illuminated by the sun, probably on the same planet that Dune takes place. yes - beachy and arid all at once. i can't even describe the pure magic and beauty contained in this bottle of smelly water. she's a summer scorcher for sure.

@ Matthra , your review is perfect , I feel identical to your thoughts. I absolutely think that it’s much more of an aura flanker , especially Aura sensuelle minus the green note minus the spicy cinnamon. This flanker is heaven , fluffy sweet cloud , almost almondy but in an airy fresh way with a mineral note. I do not see a relationship to Alien at all. I do like alien but I can’t see it here. I may get a back up bottle before this runs out. Too bad it’s only a summer flanker. It almost feels like it’s a cotton ball !

A heavy and almost disturbing pink pepper bomb on my skin with a very light touch of memories of the OG Alien. It's airy, dry and ambery. Definitely only for summer. Yet this has nothing in common with other dry salty but heavily ambery fragrances, like World Power by Kenzo. Actually I can't name any perfume that is even slightly similar to this... so it's really unique. Strange (mostly cloyingly peppery), but absolutely unique. In this sense it's worth the hype. But would I repurchase it? No, I don't think so...

After years of searching, I was finally able to get my hands on this elusive beauty that is Alien Mirage! The box came sealed but the juice had already turned a deep coppery color inside. My first impression of the scent: It almost comes across as a Olympea-Alien hybrid. I get the salty, mineral warmth of Olympea with the floral aspect of Alien peaking through. Mirage is definitely the most different flanker of all the Aliens I've tried all these years. Can't wait to wear it in warmer weather in the future!

Omg this is absolutely beautiful and addictive! Love the gorgeous blue transparent bottle. The perfume is so divine and slightly mysterious. So summery but also very sultry. I love the mineral note, smells quite metallic but in warm fuzzy way. Love it, love it, love it! I'm buying a back up bottle of this for sure. It also really reminds me of Lou Lou Blue an aquatic floral, which I owned over twenty years ago but now sadly discontinued. I'm over the moon to find Mirage that smells so very similar.

I’m glad I got my hands on this. I wore this out in the rain and it made me feel comforted by the balanced notes in this fragrance. It lasts so long, sprayed on skin and it still lasted all day!! I cannot detect the notes clearly but I do smell synthetic mineral notes. This is perfect to wear during spring and summer and in the heat is great since it doesn’t cause a headache. This is a unique perfume and I wanted to adventure out and try different fragrances, this one was a perfect purchase.

This is really beautiful. I've seen more people say they don't see a relationship with the original Alien, but I do feel the lotus is giving off a similar heady white floral as the original and of course the amber is present. It had amazing longevity on me whereas I saw some people saying it lasted as long as a mirage did! Considering I live in FL and a lot of other "beast mode" fragrances don't do that on me, and this lasted, I'd say its one of the better scents for summer here.

Mineral ! Yes is it. Finally a mineral perfume with guts. I can almost smell the sun heated rocks on the beach. The pepper just add more punch to that genius perfume. It's great in an heat wave since it leaves some sort of cooling and fresh scent and not overly cloying you with sweetness. I can smell the lotus but the other ingredients are just blended together. Sample before buying because this is not for everyone I think. It can surprising. The bottle is also magnificent.

I wholeheartedly agree with the comment made by BeauBelle, who described the scent as reminiscing a “tap water from lead pipes in an old house”. To me, the bold opening smells exactly like that. It is not an unpleasant smell though. Just very unique and rare. The drydown is sweet and alluring and, as expected with eau de toilette, does not last long. But on hot summer days, I believe it is a perfect scent for those who fancy mineral notes and prefer rather unique scents.

Im truly a novice at describing scents however this truly is pleasant and refreshing. It reminds me of waterfalls and aquatic flowers. It has a soft amber ans powder dry down. It’s very comforting and pretty. Projection is pretty good, it won’t fill a room however people aground you will smell it. I’m so sad that my favorite Mugler frags are all LE. I’m going to hoard them if I can. I’m sure this bottle won’t last me long and the bottle itself is lovely to look at.

Alien and Olympéa had an edgy baby. And I like it a lot. Olympèa is probably my most complimented fragrance (after Aura), but I always felt it sort of lacked that edge that really makes me love all things Mugler. So this is a very welcome find! Just a side note: I bought mine second hand, new in box (still wrapped). The juice is RED. Surprised since it’s been stored completely away from any and all light. I take it this strange tint isn’t unusual for Mirage?

I got this as a sample when I ordered the new Angel flanker (I'm becoming a collector, apparently), and fell in love with it. It's so different from anything else I've got in my collection, with this lingering amber note that I just adore. I don't have the original Alien, so I can't really speak on how well it shows its DNA, but if it's anything like this, I'm sure I'll like it. (And I ordered a full bottle after about an hour of testing, so...there's that.)

I blind bought this fragrance. Upon first sniff, I wasn't as keen, but to date I am in love. It's easy to love, slightly sweet, a bit salty, soft alien dna and what I like to refer to as a bit of cotton blossom by bath and body works thrown on top. It slightly sweet and savory and is great for Spring and Summer. The scent is addictive. I'm enjoying this so much as an alien flanker. The bottle is gorgeous. I will definitely repurchase when I run out!

This is a great perfume to wear during the warmer months. I smell watery lotus with a bit of sweetness to it, but not sweet enough for me to call this a sweet perfume. I usually don't care for perfumes that are considered fresh, but this one I really like. It is definitely unique, so I am happy about that. Longevity on me is about 4 to 6 hours. Don't listen to the reviews that talk about an eggy smell because there is nothing that smells eggy here.

Sharp/metallic but also clean and powdery, Mirage must be what the laundromat on the Starship Enterprise smells like. I was initially drawn to the beautiful bottle and a steep discount on the Mugler site (alas, it seems this is now discontinued), but the scent is just as captivating. It's one of my most-worn fragrances. Quite tenacious, lasting on clothes until they are washed. On skin, it lasts most of the day. The sillage is understated.

Not sure why this flanker gets so much hate, I love this scent! To me the Alien DNA is present with a nice fresh, aquatic twist. Lighter than Alien EDP its great for warmer weather as the original scent can be overpowering in warmer months. The opening is aquatic, peppery with mineral notes. The dry-down is lightly sweet and floral. Very happy with this purchase it will be a staple in my collection :).

Alien Mirage is so delightful to wear. The aquatic lotus and mineral notes are gorgeous and ethereal, but very present. The hinoki is perfectly balanced, but subtle. The overall composition doesn’t smell that much like the original, but it may be my favorite Alien flanker that deviates from Alien’s classic DNA. A worthy addition to a Mugler collection...or just a perfume collection in general.

Someone said this smells masculine, that is just why Alien Mirage has a husband and they are delicious beautiful, lovely couple! I bought the Man Mirage version for my man .. why is it 100ml I am jealous! and two bottles for me, just to be sure I can enjoy it next summer season too! Lovely, ozonic, mineral, fresh, Im just inlove with the lotus! 🪷 👌🏻

Hands down my favorite Mugler. Has a watery sweetness like wet fruit and a sparkly mineral note. Smells cool and fresh and lovely. Matches perfectly with the bottle. I am so sad that its discontinued and is super hard to find these days. I will be keeping an eye out for bottles so hopefully I can enjoy this for the rest of my life 😂

I totally blind ordered this because I like to collect Aliens. The colour of the bottle and the promise of aquatic freshness did it for m. It does what it says, but as others have said is not very Alien-y. There is a faint note that reminds me of Aura and it is definitely persistent!

Lovely mineral and lotus notes on my skin. Similiar to original Alen but much more soft and feminine. Love the scent and love the bottle. Like the rewierer below I tend to fall for the discontinued, this is no exception. Mugler for the win Silage and longevity is a perfect moderate.

Intoxicating. It has the familiarity of OG Alien but it really does smell like being stood on a stone beach by the ocean. Mineral notes and aquatic flowers give that slightly salty ocean water scent. I wasn’t expecting to like it but I really do.

It's 95 degrees today and this scent is a delight. Salty floral aquatic that is far reaching and long lasting. I get none of the pepper or the wood, just a beautiful breezy beach scent with flowers - salty and cool and sweet.

I am completely obsessed with this! It's a fragrance that I have been waiting for without realising it. It's beachy, salty, interesting and pretty. Smells very familiar but I can't put my finger on it...

What should be the color of the juice? I've seen pictures where it looks light blue, almost transparent (like the official picture on Fragrantica) and others where it is light red(ish)/purple. HELP 🤔

Crispy, smooth mineral Alien. Very gorgeous!! Perfect for summer/spring but I do think that it’s suitable for every season + every occasion. It’s light but longlasting also sillage is not bad at all!

I love it! I smells so good on me! My body chemistry really likes the crisp aquatic notes in here. So delicious.

Its like kenzo world power/olympea but less sweet, more salty and I really like it. Hope it performs nicely!
