Alien Pierre Magique

I have this, and it is indeed a 40ml limited edition refillable bottle of same old regular Alien, not a flanker or new fragrance. The bottle is quite gorgeous in real, the picture does not do it justice. It is slightly larger than that of a regular 30ml Alien bottle, wider at the base, standing about 5 inches tall from base to top of sprayer, and stands on it's own in a slanted position like in the picture. There is also a small 10ml version, which also stands on it's own in a slanted position. I have both, as I am an Alien lover and collector. I bought both in about 2010-2011. The fragrantica database can be very wrong sometimes.

I have two of them, they are 15 ml refillable travel bottles. The scent is the classic EDP. Gorgeous.

07. july 2013 If i am not mistaken, this is a regular "alien" non-refillable 15ml bottle. And it is not even new! If memory serves me right, it was on sale last year in department stores along with "angel" non-refillable "stones". This is just a new bottle in different size, but the fragrance is same old good "alien" in EDP. UPDATE: Ok, now there is a description on fragrantica. saying it ́s a 2013 limited edition bottle in 40ml size. But there was the 15ml under THE SAME NAME previously (2012 at least already), i am 100% sure, since i even wanted to buy it on sale last year. So the name is quite misleading, they put a modified juice into a bottle under the same name. Very confusing.

Well, I guess it really is a new composition... Also, take note, because "same notes" does not equal "same fragrance." If all notes smelled the same, then there would be no such thing as new fragrances. The jasmine note in ONE fragrance is not the same as a jasmine note in another fragrance. You have to take into account extraction method, concentration, species of original derivation, etc. And also, these are NOT the same notes as the original Alien EDP. Honestly, I feel like 95% of the people on this site are illiterate. It seems they're trying something new with the "solar" concept, which I think is interesting. Hopefully I'll be able to grab one of these before they're gone!

I'm not sure the sentence "This is a new fragrance." should be used in the description. I really don't see how this will be anything remarkably different from Alien or any of its many flankers. I really think TM needs to refocus their time, effort, and money on developing a completely new scent, because TM has long been heralded as one of those trail-blazers in terms of innovation...and countless flankers is slightly disparaging that name.
