Alien Pulp

A masterpiece from Mr Ropion who created the original Alien for women. As a man, I too love this new fragrance. As always with my fragrance testing, I showered first and used body lotion (Nivea Rich nourishing Pure Hyaluron with almond oil), which helps a fragrance bind to the skin in my opinion. Naturally there ARE OTHER body lotions to choose from (that hopefully satisfies my lawyers) 😂 To my nose, there are certainly similarities here to 2020's Mugler Angel Nova Eau de Parfum created by Sonia Constant, Louise Turner and Quentin Bisch, Alien Pulp on my skin opens brightly with a glorious Raspberry burst of summer freshness that I really like. It quickly settles with that Jasmine note coming through, though the fruity vibe to me is as pleasing and refreshing as Angel Muse Eau de toilette which I absolutely love, have in my collection and wear regularly 🥰 Sadly I only had my free sample 1.2ml sized as a Circle member to use and being a heavy sprayer, this did not give me adequate coverage for my testing needs. I am a big fella and 1.2ml on me covered my neck, behind the ears and rear of neck before the nozzle screamed 'enough' and was spent. Normally I would have sprayed liberally behind the knees and inner elbows, underarms, forearms, wrists and upper shoulders, and probably a few squirts onto my shirt and a final single cloud burst walk into spray which would take double the sample size to complete. That said, two hours later my nostrils still picked up the fragrance and the fruitiness was still very pleasing indeed. Four hours later and though not as prominent, I still picked up those fruity vibes though it was more of a skin scent on me. By six hours after spraying, it was still a very lovely aroma and one that in warmer months I could really see me enjoying. The dry down is exquisite, but you must allow time for the sexy, subtle and sophisticated heart and base notes to emerge through the raspberry cloud. If using an instore tester, spray your pulse points, wrists and neck liberally, do not rely on a paper tester strip as that bare no relation to human skin. Let it sink in and work it's magic. So can a man wear something that is Raspberry based, floral 💐, and marketed as exclusively for women? 🤔 As a man, I love fruity scents, and the sweetness that women's variants have over the men's. Us guy's do not always want to smell like a leather chair or gloves 🧤, a gentlemen's whiskey bar 🥃 or a burning forest 🍂, some of us do also like like sweetness too you know! Overall I rather like Alien Pulp and for a summer day 🌞 in shorts and sandals walking across the beautiful beaches in British Columbia 🇨🇦 this is exactly what I like in a fragrance. Projection and sillage are modest, closer to the skin but very clearly present in wafts to my nose. Another fragrance I would wear for my own pleasure rather than as a crowd pleaser or to garner compliments. Longevity seems decent if not nuclear on my skin and again I have another Mugler summer alternative to consider. Would I buy a full bottle and wear? 🤔 Yes, absolutely 🥳 It smells wonderfully summer fruity on my skin, has a feel good vibe and is pleasing to my nose. Can a man get away wearing this....🤔 absolutely, after all, I've been wearing women's Mugler variants for years and you'd be amazed at how many compliments I have received and the shock, horror, dismay and bewilderment of so many when I tell them it's actually a women's fragrance! 😲

I’m honestly surprised by the amount of upset reviews over this thing, for me it’s absolutely beautiful- I do understand some of the people going on about it being nothing like the original Alien BUT I can tell theres a little bit of the original in there, it’s very faint but it strikes me as a first time buyer of the Alien fragrance line type scent... something a whole lot easier to handle to begin with than some of the other Mugler frags if you’re a little iffy on them, I suppose-? For me it opens with this pink or red sour hard candy scent, big raspberry with all the citrus in it, really easy to like if you’re into super fruity fragrances without all the florals really, then it softens down into a more creamy yet powdery grape? scent... sorta like the initial impression I get out of a bottle of Alien sometimes, much more creamy though. On my skin it doesn’t last super long and the scent isn’t grape scented when it dries down, more cashmerey and musky. Edit; Lowkey I’ve just now realized after putting Fiery Passion with this, it kinda smells like a way less strong and more powdery version of it ?? Still love this, but yeah once again it being in the Alien line it seems like it should be at least as strong as a celebrity perfume 😭😭

🌺 My bff went with me to Sephora to ‘play’ in the perfumes (yes, I’m over 45). She told me not to look at what she sprayed on the tester. Blew me away (out of approximately 7) this really stood out. I love doing this as there’s zero personal preconceptions. Purchased a full bottle. 😊 🌺 I have to agree with ‘aldinatic’ in that it has the 2000s vibe; for me, the mid 2000s. Pulp has a fresh dry-down and doesn’t bite throughout any of the levels. Fragrance with musk at the base creates a fresh scent on my skin. Always. 💕 It also seems to soften perfume notes. 🌺 IMO, it doesn’t have the Alien DNA as Alien Goddess doesn’t (for me). Although a very tiny bit sweet, it seems neutral in that many age brackets will be able to flaunt it. Wish they’d create a layering lotion in the Pulp scent but can’t have it all. 👽 Longevity 8+ hours Sillage Average total 4 feet Leans female; however, men may enjoy also with NP Good value considering the above ⬆️ UPDATE: Put it on before bed and awoke to the scent of raspberries. If ya don’t like raspberries, take a pass on it as that’s the final settle on this perfume.

I love it. Got my 100 mil bottle from ULTA yesterday in the mail, , sprayed a few sprays this morning and still loving it now at 8:30 pm . More proof that fragrance is different on everyone - so try it yourself. I agree that it smells like Angel Nova somewhat, the same fruity vibe, but I love them both. I smelled a quick medicinal whiff at first spray, but it quickly dissipated and was replaced by a beautiful fruity smell, which I enjoyed all day. It didn’t change much after the dry down. It’s a sophisticated nice fruit smell like the pulp of a sweet fruit with a little powder . I think it’s appropriately named. I will wear some more but I don’t think my opinion is going to change on this one. Bottle is beautiful. I will need another bottle come spring, as tomorrow I am going to douse myself in it at the risk of choking out everyone I am sure, lol, it’s really nice. I think I have to limit myself to just a few sprays though.

I am a big big fan of the old Aliens (pre 2019) and this flanker to me, has nothing to do with alien. However, it's a stunning fragrance. The bottle is beautiful and the juice is lovely. It reminds me of the La nuit tresor musc diamant, without any La nuit tresor dna, and with added sweet raspberry. It's not a juicy raspberry to me, and it's not candy sweet. It's light and airy and slightly vanillic and a little powdery. I love a good raspberry note, and for that reason I love it. But it is dissapointing that it has no resemblance to the original alien at all. This does feel like it would layer very well with alien eau extraordinaire or alien edt, that is probably how I will use it this spring and summer. But I think it's time that i realise that the good old alien days are gone. I will cherish the old flankers that I have, and stop expecting the new ones to smell like alien, unfortunately.

I collect Mugler and mostly Alien flankers. So far, it's between this and hypersense as my FAVORITE! It is true that it's the furthest from the OG "DNA" but for those saying it's not there, you are very mistaken. It is there, just way down the street, LOL. It is very sweet, but not cloying at all. Its sweetness is more realistic - juicy, fresh, bright & fizzy/effervescent. It's hard to explain! On clothes, the top and mid notes linger the whole time through and lasts all day. On skin, when it gets to the final dry down (it's a slowwwww transition that I love), the sweetness still lingers, but you are left with a cozy skin scent that will stay with you while you fall asleep. Hypersense does this same thing but with it's own notes and lasts even longer!

I really liked this scent when I first tried it but now I LOVE it. It's by far the most feminine and optimistic scent I own, everything else in my collectiion is unisex, moody, dark and mature if not a little dystopian but this scent is fun like wearing a raspberry pink suede jacket with a glass of citrus fizzy Italian soda in your hand. I am layering it with Comme de Garcon's Sepentine cuz it smells like I'm doing all that in a city park. We.'ll see how it is in cooler weather but I'm in the mood for it in summer. fun? yes! sophisticated? it's not childish. Complex? a bit. I like how the scent changes over time on my skin. I'm new to fragrance so this is the first one in my wardrobe like this.

Alien Pulp opens with a fresh, juicy raspberry that feels bright and natural on the skin. The opening is a bit generic at first, but more natural than many mainstream perfumes. As the fruity top fades, the scent moves into softer territory. What’s left is a powdery jasmine with creamy vanilla. On me, the drydown is smooth, slightly powdery, and very comforting – a clean floral-vanilla skin scent. It actually reminds me a bit of Memo’s Flåm in the way it becomes calm, airy and elegant after the opening. It starts quite safe, but slowly moves into more of a niche-feeling scent as it develops on the skin.

I have always loved the OG especially when it was Thierry Mugler and not the current distributor. Pulp has similar DNA but drydown down citrus and lighter than the OG. I do really like it, isn’t bad for the the flanker! I recommend this for the summer and perfect to wear to a BBQ or party or a day time wedding. It smoothes down after about and hour. I will alway buy the Alien Flankers no matter who owns them, they are still unusual than most department store fruity floral offerings! This lasts about 4 to 6 hours on my skin! If you want a brighter Alien this one is it! Highly recommended 10/10!

OH FUCK YEAAAAAAAAAAA. pardon my french, but - as the username suggests - i am a MASSIVE alien fan. this flanker is FANTASTIC. maybe even better than hypersense. for everyone saying the raspberry fades quick, spray onto clothes!!! lasts a loooot longer. it dries down fantastically mellow, i agree does not have the staggering performance of alien original, but i think this is still beautiful. dry down is powdery and less juicy, but still gorgeously sweet. perfectly feminine, pink, sexy, light. SO SEXY SWEET YUMMY I LOVE IT YUM

I got a sample of this and I was surprised I love it because I just usually really do not enjoy Mugler fragrances. This has really nothing to do with original Alien. If anything it reminds me of Francisco Rodriquez fragrances which are mostly what I love. I think it is the fluffy musk here with sweet accords that makes me like it and that reminds me of rodriquez fragrances. I want to buy this as soon as possible.

Very bold fruity floral with a strong Alien DNA. Dry down is cashmere vanilla. Incredible scent trail. 4 sprays lasted 5 hours on clothes. I got the Nova reference but I think Pulp is a lot bolder and has more depth. Plus, I think the dry down is way better than Nova, lots creamier if you’re into it. I was not a fan of the Alien line, but Pulp has converted me.

Who ever said this parfume does not last, I sprayed it, this morning at 8 and it is now 5 in the afternoon and still going strong, also it is really beautiful, soft but strong, the addition of musk makes it feel airy but just so beautiful, very versatile, I think, overall as usual Mugler, and Dominique Ropion out did themselves, so very impressed.

This is such a fun, sweet fragrance. I enjoy it a lot as I enjoy the other Alien perfumes (OG and Goddess as well as their flankers). I smell the Alien backbone and it's amazing how you get something sweet and pulpy but then smell the purple Alien as well. Well done! I enjoy this so much and like all mugler fragrances, they last long on my skin.

Someone mentioned Miss Dior and I can totally smell the resemblance. Initial burst of ripe raspberry and citrus fruit, then jasmine followed by soft musks. I keep reaching for this. Still has the original alien dna in the dry down and leaves a very VERY faint sweet smell after 8+ hours wear. My only wish is for it to last longer!

i am in love!! tested it on my skin a few weeks prior and just recently got a bottle, and i could not be happier! the jasmine in this is so beautiful, and the addition of raspberry makes for a beautifully feminine and delicious fragrance. i’ve loved almost every single flanker of Alien and i must say this is no exception!

First spray it’s very sweet and fruity I still get the original Alien scent with the amber and the jasmine but at the dry down it’s more fresh and very raspberry. It’s a nice basic sweet fruity fragrance not too overpowering but the scent is giving me summer vibes. It’s nice but not the best one

a gothic shirley temple i usually mix 'love' by bebe with alien to create my own raspberry version of alien and yet here we are, a scent made for me lol instant full bottle purchase, its so refreshingly feminine and dark at the same time (the original alien has been my signature for years btw)

snatched this up so quick. i absolutely loved angel nova but it was too sweet and nuclear for me. this is nova but toned down and less cloying but with the addition of the creamy jasmine and cashmere from the alien DNA. a simple addition to the line but a literal gamechanger. 10/10 i love it.

This perfume has become my summer go-to! I love the name and yes, it is pulpy!! It has a texture to it that I cannot find in any other perfume. I love how unique and sweet but salty it is. Really enjoy it and I even spray it on my hair accessories so I get wafts of it when I turn my head :)

I really love this one. This opens fruity and sweet, but as it dries more you can definitely sense the alien DNA but less screechy. If you enjoy the original Alien EDP definitely test this one out. It’s sweet, it’s feminine and overal a more wearable version of the OG.

Some of these reviews are downright unhinged. This is a nice hybrid between Alien and Angel Nova. Nothing groundbreaking, just nice. It's a powdery raspberry floral, non offensive with moderate projection. That's it.

I can smell the Oriana or Loukume from TK in the drydown. Its very nice. I have angel nova edt and edp. This is not similar or close at all. Raspberry marshmallo with hint of jasmine.

Alien Pulp surprised me in the best possible way. Whenever I try L'Oreal-era Mugler releases now, I'm always half-expecting to dislike it and call it out for being a traitor to the lineage. However, what I got with Pulp was Alien struck by a solar flare. The opening is a neon citrus‐fruit flash - juicy, bright, slightly acidic, almost like someone squeezed glowing orange pulp over hot metal. It’s fruity, but never sugary or girlish. There’s no syrup, no pink haze, no Nova‐style sweetness. This fruit is alive, not edible. Then the jasmine rises and reminds you exactly what line this belongs to. It’s not creamy or soft; it’s solar, metallic‐green, and unmistakably Alien, just wearing a brighter aura. The fruit doesn’t fight the jasmine - it charges it. The whole thing feels like Alien in motion, with more colour and more energy. The dry-down is a warm, radiant skin glow with a faint metallic shimmer. Not heavy, not creamy, not beachy - just a soft solar warmth that still carries that Alien signature. Performance: Projection: “I can smell you from the next dimension” for 2 hours Longevity: 7–9 hours depending on how warm you run Sillage: a glowing trail that makes people ask “What is that?” in a tone that is 50% admiration, 50% confusion. Alien Pulp is the only fruity Alien that still feels like a character, not just a summer flanker trying to be liked. Alien Pulp = neon fruit + solar jasmine + Alien voltage. I can't dismiss Pulp just because it doesn't have the exact Alien EDP's DNA that Mugler fans know and love, but Alien DNA isn't about heaviness - it's about otherness, and Pulp is absolutely other. Fragrantica have categorised this as a fruity floral... it's not. Neither is it a fruity-gourmand, nor citrus-fresh. People don't know where to place it, it sits in no-mans-land. It can come across as too neon and weird for people who want a fruity summer scent, and too bright and juicy for people who want Alien EDP's narcotic punch, so both groups reject it. The Alien DNA is there, just not everyone recognises it in this form. Alien Pulp has metallic-green jasmine, solar radiance, the glowing aura, alien-skin warmth and ultraviolet shimmer. It's Alien's bright cousin. Overall, my heart still belongs to the most Mugler of Mugler's, but Alien Pulp does make a refreshing change for L'Oreal-era Mugler. This is genuinely a unique take in the line. 8.5/10 - solar fruit with attitude.

I'm not a big jasmine or og Alien fan but I like this. I'm just not into jasmine usually. Alien Pulp has three distinct phases and it lasts very well on skin, a good 12 hours, and I could still smell it on my t shirt the next day. The opening is lovely and bright, you can really smell the fruity sweet n sour raspberry and candied lemon. I do wish this phase lasted longer as it's so delectable. In the heart the jasmine comes out to play. Jasmine can be pretty boring as it's been done to death in every combination possible but this is quite pretty, lightened by the orange and a soft, lightly powdery vibe. The notes kind of play turns each throughout this time, waxing and waning. This lasts a good few hours. Then we enter the final phase, which again lasts hours and hours. This is a candied, powdery vanilla. Very sweet but not offensively so, it's pleasant and enjoyable. In terms of sillage you won't be invading anyone's space but you will be able to smell it on yourself and if anyone gets in close they will smell it too. Alien Pulp wasn't what I expected but I have enjoyed it. I think it would be really nice in the Spring/Summer it has certainly brightened this dreary British February with the promise of sunny days to come.

I’m a huge, huge fan of Alien Goddess! That one to me is one of the most relaxing scents I own. I was excited to try Pulp due to the notes, but this isn’t what I’d expected. Pulp to me smells less like a perfume and gives more of a very pleasant, clean laundry/sheets type of vibe. I’m not really getting much Alien DNA other than a faint whisper in the base. It does create a very comforting scent bubble around you. I certainly don’t find it weak. I have quite a few different samples sprayed all over me, and yet this scent is dominating them all. In comparison to other Aliens, yes it is weaker, although I’m not an alien fan so maybe this is why I enjoy this one. It’s not a wow scent but worth testing. It’s a lovely light raspberry/clean sheets scent for spring and summer. An easy reach for work or days out. I ended up decided to buy this one. I wouldn’t pay full price, but got 90ml for a very good deal second hand, and feel it was worth adding to my collection.

Alien Pulp is a refreshing, sun-drenched departure from the "intergalactic priestess" intensity of the original. While the Mugler jasmine remains the clear protagonist, it’s stripped of its usual density and reimagined as a gentler, more airy floral. The standout for me is the raspberry; where many fruity notes turn synthetic or powdery, this one is remarkably natural—sweet, juicy, and glowing with warmth. Paired with a radiant citrus opening and a smooth, woody vanilla base, it trades the heady evening glory of the DNA for a vibe that screams bright spring mornings and sunlit afternoons. It’s significantly more versatile than its predecessor—a "silk or jeans" type of scent that works just as well in the office as it does on a date. The projection is polite rather than loud, though the longevity on clothes is impressive. If you want the Alien soul in a more wearable, youthful, and effervescent package, this is a winner.

I'm a raspberry lover 💞, so I hope this doesn't disappoint. Haven't been impressed by an Alien flanker since Alien Fusion 🙏🏾 EDIT: I just bought a travel size and I must say I am mildly impressed. The opening smells just like the raspberry note in Angel Nova EDP, then as that fades, the unmistakable Alien Jasmine peeks through with a slight fruitiness and freshness from the original, before further drying down to musk. Agree that there is not much sweetness going on here at all, but I don't mind. As an Alien enthusiast, Pulp is not among my favorite flankers YET--will have to test and wear it out more as the weather warms up--but I could see it being a nice flanker for springtime to switch things up instead of wearing Alien EDP. I find Pulp a much more interesting fruity recent take on Alien versus for example Alien Hypersense, which came off bland to my nose.

Candied raspberries and creamy jasmine.. it does smell really nice but definitely nothing groundbreaking. That raspberry cotton candy nuance is 100% the most intriguing part.. like truly delicious smelling, but the rest is honestly just meh. Performance is on the weaker side too. It essentially smells like a watered down and diluted version of Alien with a big dose of sweet raspberry cotton candy on top. Unfortunately the best part doesn’t last that long before it fades into your typical nondescript sweet fruity floral with only a smallllll whisper of the og Alien remaining. I like it, but as an Angel girly first and foremost (and owner of nova) I’m not rushing out to buy this. Like! Not love.. howeverrrr I could see me purchasing this at some point because it doessss smell niceee

The DNA of the original is clearly present, enriched in the opening with delicate, sweet, juicy, ripe fruits, with raspberry taking the leading role. As the fragrance unfolds, the signature jasmine of Alien emerges, yet in a smoother and more restrained interpretation. The base is sublimely creamy, with a soft cashmeran warmth that gently envelops. This is Alien touched with the carefree joy of summer. I can imagine a sensual woman wearing the classic Alien gifting Pulp to her teenage daughter. Longevity on fabric is very good, while the sillage is initially strong before settling into an intimate aura. The flacon is joyful, light, and pleasant, perfectly reflecting the character of the fragrance itself.

To be honest, it’s not much different from a lot of other raspberry fragrances that are out there, but I like it. Sweet raspberry that dries down to powdery vanilla. I do detect Alien DNA in this. Not as much as extraintense, but it’s there. The longevity is good, I could smell it on my pyjama shirt the next morning, despite not spraying any on it at all as it was the remnants of what I sprayed on my skin earlier in the day. I could be worn all year but I think I might find it too cloying in summer on very hot days. Edit: just wanted to add that it smells like those chalky refresher/sweetheart sweets we get in the UK 😅 ETA: this has really grown on me and I absolutely love it.

This is what I wish mod blush smelled like when I bought it. I was new to fragrances then and trying to develop my nose. (Still am four years later lol) I sprayed Alien Pulp on one wrist and Alien Goddess on the other at Ulta this weekend, and as I went about my day the only one I could smell was Goddess. Delightful, but I thought it was strange I could barley smell Pulp. Tried one more spray today, just Pulp, and same effect. It seems less strong to me for some reason. Or maybe I’m just used to Extraintense and Hypersense. It’s lovely but I’m not sure I would buy it, even a travel size. Angel Nova seems similar, less creamy but more tart/sour, and I think I prefer Nova.

I grabbed a 10 ml, to see if I would like this - I do! It gives me the same DNA vibe of the original Alien - which I like for that smooth jasmine and stuffy floral, this however gets sweet and fresh, and the musk is REALLY nice. It starts out a bit bland, but really does warm up and smells good. I also get really great longevity from this - all Mugler perform well on me though so I'm not SHOCKED but I was worried this would smell too similar to others, as the last few releases have kind of smelled the same. I give this a solid 8, and I would likely move up to a bottle, but not a large one, maybe the smallest bottle size.

i usually dislike alien fragrances so i didn't have any expectations for this, but it took me by surprise. it's very soft raspberry with a super creamy vanilla note that i find so addicting, these scents combined remind me of a viennese whirl. the strength is not comparable to other mugler fragrances though, which i don't mind but if you prefer to make a statement then this might not be for you. that being said, i'm not 100% sold on buying a bottle. it's pleasant and i adore the creaminess but it's not unique enough that i could justify £64 for a small bottle. maybe i'll pick it up if i see a good discount!

That ALIEN dna is no joke, The original is a masterpiece and when you working with that really nothing bad can come out of it,especially when you add worlds most favourite fruit to it. Its powdery but in a fresh,laundry hanging out to dry in the backyard kind of way due to the musk. Sillage and longevity is good,i mean,of course. I wouldnt buy it,its not really my kind of scent but if i would smell it on someone else i would definetly brighten up their day with a compliment.

I'm over raspberry as a note, I think it's overrated... but if that note kind of fades and that's what its sounding like, I heard it was almost a skin musk scent, I'm going to have to try this lol Edit 1.9.26 I mostly notice the citrus then it dries down to alien DNA just softer and less jasmine bomby, and then finally a vanillic skin scent with musky alien florals. I am not mad whatsoever, glad I got the $35 travel size parfum and not something larger...

Guys, I know the name is WIERD, but isn't that the point of Mugler? I think the brand may be trying to go back to its roots... I mean just take a look at the first alien flankers and their interesting titles and packaging. Maybe this one has some potential. I'm not sure how people are getting full bottles at the moment, maybe through brand loyalty, but I'm just gonna wait till it's available to test at Dillard's. Btw, the bottle is gorgeous 😍

Oh this is so good! You can really smell the raspberry at the start and then it gradually settles into a less intense (and less headache inducing) version of the OG Alien. I tried this at a store few days ago and haven’t stopped thinking about it since then.

Quite boozy and sugary, one extra spray can make a difference between comforting and suffocating. I don’t really get rasperries, but I might get diabetes type 2 from this. It's a nice and well balanced flanker with strong projection, but can lean heavy.

First impressions: a slightly tart, fruity opening of raspberry + jasmine; the freshness of the fruit gradually gives way to a powdery, woody character. Like IvanaSch said: Hybrid between Alien and Angel Nova. Quite interesting.

It’s raspberry for sure, but make it MUGLER ✨ You can absolutely tell it’s an Alien sister because (to me) I almost get a little vintage Alien jasmine in this 👀 Haven’t done a full wear but so far...pretty friggen nice.

This should have been a flanker of Angel Nova, like "Angel Nova Pulp". It's like the slightly better version of it. Very nice but pretty disappointing because it doesn't really smell like Alien to me ):

I find this perfume addictive and keep grabbing it for another spray. Very easy to wear and delightful. Dries down to the familiar alien core but top notes are so fresh and moreish !!

This is an alien who had 1 year psychotherapy because he saw everything that was happening in the world... He is softer and kinder. I bought this and I am very happy.

Otherworldly raspberry note from nova with a way creamier vanillin dry down. This travel size will be a fun one to layer with but sadly not full bottle worthy.
