Mirror Mirror Collection - Miroir des Majestes

SUBLIME - an instant and passionate love! I ordered this - another blind buy - on the basis that I rarely have a breakdown in my long term love affair with Mugler. It was waiting for me on the doorstep when I returned home from work this afternoon. It's been bloody chilly here today so, when I sprayed MdM twice to the back of my hand, the sillage was negligible - at first. The characteristic Mugler DNA is clearly evident in the jasmine of MdM - but it's a lot more restrained than that of Alien. That's not a criticism of Alien, as I own and love it and several of its flankers, including Essence Absolue, Eau Extraordinaire (try layering those two, the result is stunning!), Liqueur de parfum - and Oud Majestueux. Given that the name of this Miroir is MAJESTES and the similarities it has to Alien Oud MAJESTUEUX, I wonder whether this is an accidental name choice? They share these notes: jasmine, oud, amber and cardamom. The oud note in MdM is much less harsh than that of AOM; Miroir is a smoother and less challenging blend. Sillage is less than that of Alien although it's still beyond arms-length. I am not sure about longevity yet, but Miroir is still clearly discernible on the back of my hand, despite thorough washing with soap (I've cleaned the loo and emptied the cat litter trays) six times, since returning home four hours ago. I have just tested Fendi Furiosa (which I also love) against MdM and agree there are some similarities; FF is far more flowery though, and has an almost bitter grapefruity citrus zing to it before it dries down. MdM is more "creamy" and woody. The entire Miroir series is discontinued and is becoming very difficult to source. One last thing - the attention to detail of the packaging is phenomenal. Each Miroir bottle arrives in a beautiful mirrored box. I don't normally store my fragrances in their original boxes (I've got over 600 full bottles and storage is an issue!) but I AM keeping my Miroirs in their boxes as throwing them away feels like an act of vandalism. ETA I don't think this is too heavy to wear in warm weather.

I am usually pretty good at distinguishing the notes but this always throws me for a loop. Had I not known the notes in this I might have guessed cherry, eucalytpus and rosewood. I have later realized that it's because how the orange blossom acts in this composition. What it absolutely isn't is "just like any other orange blossom fragrance". Smelling it doesn't make me think of any florals at all. It's more about the amber accord with a side of oud and suede. To me the latter is much more prominent than the votes here suggest. And the orange blossom comes across fresh, having almost a cooling effect on top of a composition that radiates warmth. It's very Mugler... or should I say Thierry Mugler. It's not like anything we ought to expect from the brand these days. MdM is definitely the most wearable of the line of the ones I've tried. It's still very sweet though, so I personally find it to be a bit too much for the warmer months. Originality alone is hardly a selling point though, as some here would suggest. Otherwise wouldn't more people be wearing Secretions Magnifiques? And it's actually a good thing if a fragrance has a few relatives when it comes to the scent profile. This means we're more likely to find an alternative once a fragrance has been discontinued, just like what happened to Miroir des Majestes. As for the similarities, 1888 by Casamorati/Xerjoff is as close as anything gets to it. I haven't done a side by side comparison, but they're surprisingly similar at first sniff. MdM has absolutely nothing in common with either Musc Mysterieux, Oud Majesteux, Miroir des Joyaux and Knot eau Absolue by Bottega Veneta, though.

The presentation is out of this world a mirror box and gorgeous bottle, the fragrance inside lives up to its outer beauty. Imagine walking into a large office building, on the executive floor your coworker greets you, she wears a twill suit jacket, as she leans in to hug you, your memories come alive as you're hit with a familiar scent you had forgotten about, it reminds you of your mom and old Chanel 05, but has a modern twist you haven't smelled before. Its intriguing, building on the foundations laid by Chanel but it gets rid of the suffocating, dated aldehydes and florals and replaces it with something lighter, modern and more unisex. Here is how I would describe the notes: Upon first spray you're met with a slightly medicinal and vintage (think Chanel) scent, it reminds me of something my mother would have worn. After 10 minutes the suede/leather note takes over, the OUD in this is very mild and has a just perceptible black pepper smell. Soon after a syrupy sweetness appears. It reminds me of grape soda or some bubbly drink. Similar to Escada Magnetism for Men's grape soda note. 40min+ into wearing, an elegant leather and amber fragrance makes itself known, its in the same vein as Cuir Beluga but less powdery/vanillic and more unisex. The oud is still there, but buried in the background. The grape note fades and leaves behind a slight fruity scent, to me I would describe it as a peach smell.

HOW GOOD IS THIS? Well from the second I first sprayed this gifted decant, I knew I was in for a real treat, a burst of spiced notes, and a distinct amber greeted my nose, a hint of oud in the heart along with the jasmine and soft suede plays out a beautiful composition of notes. Now I'm no oud fan, with the exception of Oud Wood by Tom Ford but but the oud is so delicate here in MM that I'm actually liking it! What this perfume reminds me of is Portrait of a lady and I'm told over and over AND OVER, that POAL has NO OUD, but I SWEAR it does and this oud is done similarly and in the same 'NOT in your face' way, as each other and I do make a strong connection between the 2 fragrances. The performance for MM is above average, but not to the same degree as Portrait, but nevertheless, I just ordered a bottle and feel quite lucky to have found one being the last one, at 'Feeling Sexy' today. The few drops left in my sample will be gone before my online order is delivered. I'm curious to see the anticipated presentation which other reviewers have classed as impressive! The next bottle on my want list is MM's sister Miroir des Voluptes, daring to 'take on' what I believe is a slightly heavier oud accord. Exciting introduction into the first of a collection of six in the Miroir line of Thierry Mugler (which were unknown to me until today). Oh and I know myself. It's probable I'll buy the entire line! ;)

Amazing ambery Alien-akin. While Alien is vibrant, loud and uniquely beautiful, her distant cousin MdM is more poised, confident, comfortable in her skin and subtly seductive. Like most complex scents, the opening of MdM can seem overwhelming, but I’ve learned to wait it out. The star here is the amber, a truly mesmerizing one. Spicy, sweet in a balanced way, rich, resinous, warming, sensual, creamy and intoxicating are words that just start to describe it. The oud is a just a smidgen (if I didn’t read the notes I would have guessed sandalwood). The leather is a velvety suede, and neither of these is intimidating or overpowering, they just add depth. Unlike the reviews I’ve read, I can sense the Alien DNA for sure though in the background. The amber is truly majestic here. Mirror mirror on the wall, who’s the fairest of them all? All Thierry Mugler creations to be honest. They sweep you off your feet in terms of uniqueness, performance, bottle and packaging. Everything was carefully thought out. GORGEOUSNESS 💖

I have long been curious about this one. It sounded amazing but I tried the Musc Mysterieux and it about put me off anything like this. Although that one smelled amazing on my friend it smelled like a cross between expired aftershave and cat pee on me. I blame my crazy red head chemistry for that. This one however is in a slightly similar vein but amazing. It smells like crazy, overwhelming old lady perfume for about five minutes but what it fades into is really something special. It is a little hard to describe. It reminds me in a way of the head shops on Telegraph Ave (Berkeley) in the 1980s. It is like a cross between jasmin and sandalwood incense with this super warm almost vanilla like amber undertone. It also has this kind of warm spicy kind of chai vibe. It does seem to get sweeter as it fades. I have loved Mugler fragrances for years because they are always unique and this one does not disappoint. It true Mugler fashion it is almost addictive. I just can't stop sniffing myself.

I noticed this on a fragrance website on sale so I bought one making this one of my more successful blind buys. Miroir des Majeste starts off a rich and honeyed orange blossom with a speck of spice I swear is cinnamon (I'm surprise this note is not listed). As intense as it starts, there is something that is light and somewhat fresh about this. I'd say it's a cross between Hermes 24 Faubourg and Bottega Veneta Knot Absolue. The longer this stays on, the lighter and more floral it becomes, but the projection and longevity is slightly above average. I find this unsex in the opening, but leans slightly more feminine as it dries down. Still the ambery goodness is so addictive I cant stop smelling myself. This is my first venture into the Mugler Miroir collection and now I am interested in the others. This comes highly recommended as I can't imagine anyone not liking this. Thumbs way up.

I adore this. Confidence and sophistication in a bottle. The spices are ever-present. You must like cardamom because it’s a big player. This is so round, warm and rich (not heavy, but definitely substantial.) This is a fall classic/staple for me. But I’m loving it, even in the heat and humidity of summer. When I sweat, it wafts up even more beautifully. The suede is so soft and velvety. The orange blossom is not sweet. It’s warming and dry, to me. I haven’t heard anyone say this, but I kind of get stone fruit. (It reminds me of Mugler Les Excepciones (sp?) Woodissime, but more affordable.) Radiant and mature- for a woman, not a girl, who wants an oriental frag with uniqueness, regality and confidence. Instant love. I immediately bought a backup of this gem. There’s no Alien here for me, but maybe vibes. Definite Mugler DNA, given that the pyramid is pretty simple, which I like.

Strong resemblance to Alien Oud Majestueux and Alien Musc Mysterieux, but this is soooo smooth and classy. It smells expensive. I find the Alien Musc and Oud versions very similar to each other and not worth having both. I preferred the Musc so that's the one I kept. Even though I feel this could easily be an Alien flanker, it's in a different class. Very velvety blend and a more palatable Oud. The orange blossom elevates it overall from a purely jasmine centric white floral. I must admit jasmine is my least favourite white flower. I prefer it with other flowers. This is very warm and slightly powdery, a very smooth powder. Slightly spicy in the opening. The amber drydown is gorgeous and adds a little sweetness. It's got this old school vibe about it which makes me love it more. Like L'instant it feels ancient and modern. MdM is dressed up and very special.

This is very nice! A spicy, warm floral fragrance! It starts out shy. In the first phase of the perfume, the cardamom is the main player! Up until the jasmine emerge in the second phase, the cardamom almost disappears giving more space for the coriander to play and spice up the jasmine. Finally, the amber/oud appears. they add warmth, depth and class! The result is a wonderful, complex perfume. For me, the amber and oud are the star players here. This is a good perfume, but, when they emerge, they take it to a very cozy and warm place! You can sleep with this perfume on even on extreme cold or stormy nights. It makes you forget all about the outside world and traps you in it's own comfortable place.

What a fascinating scent! If you want to smell rich, and I mean poised, OLD MONEY rich, not the gaudy, decked-out-in-Supreme/Alessandro-michelle's-Gucci-head-to-toe kind of rich, this is THE fragrance for you. The amber here is at its most potent and balmy, and is the most dominant note, followed by coriander. Not even a hint of sweetness - so it could easily be considered unisex by many. The drydown is elegant yet by no means soft or shy, therefore I can only imagine the most confident and powerful individuals wearing this with ease. I might wait until I'm in my late 20s before I actually introduce this perfume into my collection, but it's definitely a promise.

This is an airy oriental fragrance! The orange blossom note travels through every stage of the fragrance. The spices and a light oud are also present. The oud first appears a bit clay/playdough. I wish it didn't appear in the opening but it's not there for very long. I don't get much of the jasmine but the orange blossom, amber and light suede dominate the drydown. The amber is probably the most intense note in the frag but it is beautiful! The lightness of these notes are surprising and very wearable. Overall, I find this was a risky blind buy payoff! I like to pair with YSL Manifesto on occasion. It is heavenly!

This evokes something in me that no perfume ever has. Like Alexandra, this is a definite confidence booster for me too. I love how this makes me feel It smells gorgeous too, absolutely stunning. Quite mature. I can't see how someone could ever mess with a woman wearing this. Not an instant love for me, but the moment I realized how it affected me I was sold. Second time I sprayed it on I was in love. Possibly my biggest crush on a fragrance, ever. I was going to purchase Kenzo Jungle l'elephant, but after my sample I just ordered two bottles of this instead!

I absolutely adore this perfume. It gives me great confidence and a sense of sex-appeal. This is a perfume fit for an empress, a god-like woman who is in absolute control and whose intentions will never be known. I cherish this wonderful perfume and only use it when I want to impress and intimidate (in a good way). This is the perfume I wear when I want to leave a mark. It is concentrated mostly on the amber and cardamom, but all notes can be felt. The bottle is absolutely gorgeous and the packaging is to die for. I have to buy a back up of this ASAP!

So glad I took a chance on this one! I've not had any luck with this house before but this is an absolute dream. Very very warm, spicy amber that eventually reveals a smoky oud and the sweetness of the florals. Perhaps even a touch of incense. An incredibly opulent scent, it's very enjoyable to wear, and definitely creates a mood, both in you and those around you. I feel like a rich and powerful desert princess when I wear it. And I usually couldn't care less about packaging but this deserves a mention as it's especially gorgeous.

Miroir des Majestes is like the younger version of Miroir des Voluptes. The notes are slightly similar but Majestes has only two base notes, making the perfume warm, sensual and charming. The cardamon and coriander are wonderful spices, rich and inviting. The true beauty, jasmine, combined with orange blossom and suede with the top notes had me fooled into thinking there was rose somewhere... The last two notes gently reveal themselves along as soon as all the notes have merged onto the skin. A truly pleasant acquaintance. 10/10

Got this in the mail today (found it on offer for 36pounds) and oh my God it is AMAZING; you can smell this with your eyes closed and def recognize the Mugler dna :D In the beginning reminds me a bit of Musk mysterieux, than after a couple of hours it s like I feel a bit from Gaultier 2 and in the dry down (and please, do not call me crazy) I find something from Light Blue intense. This is a masterpiece!

I finally bought this scent and it didn’t disappoint! The last Mugler scent I had was angel and This scent is nothing like it! On me this becomes a honeyeyed hay type scent intoxicating and my new favorite! Slipped in the bed wearing this last night and while sleep my husband said “mmmm mmm mmmm” need I say more? I Did a review on the tube under bad bad Kitti if you wanna hear a little more about it!

This is a beautiful creation! Miroir des Majestes would be a great choice for a formal event, I think, especially in cooler weather. It’s rich, sophisticated, elegant and warm. I agree with other reviewers who say it makes them feel powerful and confident! This projects and makes a statement but isn’t overwhelming. The oud is beautifully blended with amber and white florals. A masterpiece!

This is my first from the Miroir collection. It is gorgeous, mature and interesting. Quite sophisticated and unique. The dry down is very similar to Bottega Veneta Knot Eau Absolut but with a slight warmer (almost creamy) texture. I adore that "mothball" type musk. This will be a pleasure to wear all year round. Very long lasting. Still very present on my jacket after 3 days.

For those that have the mirror box it’s actually a display for the perfume bottle. You open the lid and flip the box upside down and you sit the perfume on the lid and Thierry Mugler signature will be right side up, with a beautiful mirror display. RIP To the king of perfume! I feel so lucky to own this work of art before everything switched over to L’Oréal.

I can see why someone has seen a similarity with Xerjoff 1888 but it is only brief on the opening and then the jasmine and cardamom reign supreme. The amber becomes much more dominant after an hour or so. This is a beautiful fragrance and in my top 10. A powerful, opulent and alluring unisex fragrance for the night time. Good sillage and longevity.

This is one absolutely stunning fragrance. It is sweet, spicy and warm - a it's cold out and I want to be wrapped in my coziest sweater way. Lastibilty? Off the charts. I can get an easy 12+ hours from wearing this and it doesn't become a skin scent. The packaging alone blew me away and feel a lot of thought went into this whole line <3

WOW... just straight up wow... I blind bought this and this is such a GORGEOUS amber fragrance!! Absolutely stunning! I can't wait for the colder days to come so I could wear this. This is so warm and cozy. A beautiful and powerful amber, mixed with jasmin and pistache. Absolutely stunning. It also reminds me of MFK - Grand Soir

Ok I just received this yesterday. I don’t smell the similarity to Alien but maybe a bit like Alien Absolou. To me this is a light example of what a Middle Eastern perfume smells like but not beast mode. It’s amber, smoke, oud and sweetness. I would say this is a good introduction if you want to start wearing Oud.

Beautiful oriental perfume. Mugler is always of quality and the packaging is stellar. A lot of thought and hard work went behind the juice and packaging as all Mugler’s are work of arts. This is much more than your typical designer and reminds me a lot of amouage with an alien Mugler jasmine thrown into the mix!!

Wonderful combination of Amber & Oud! Orange Blossom, well... blossoms. Spices are tantalizing but not centre stage & then the Jasmine -SOLD! I already have & adore Voluptes, this is the little sister, not overkill, a welcome addition.

Mirror Majesties. A floral amber bomb Mugler, the father of gourmand perfumes, the zero point of a trend that has grown exponential until today, becoming a fashion in the world of perfumery, wanted to prove that he knows how to cast spells with flowers, creating Miroir des Majestés, an amber and opulent floral perfume. It is part of a limited collection whose theme is the mirror, inside the box there is a four-sided mirror. At the same time, the bottle is a piece of art, the cap resembling the handle of a sword and the blade is embedded on the face of the glass. The drawings on the bottle come to complete the royal image that the perfume wants to present. It is a rich combination of white flowers mixed with amber, oud and cardamom in the opening. An amber oriental-floral scent, sweet with a deep base. Mugler managed here to create a luxurious perfume with performances typical of Arabian fragrances. Strong sillage and projection in the first two hours and long persistence on the skin. After a few hours, the perfume retreats to the skin, remains ambery but you will still manages to feel it around you. The fragrance is feminine but given its oriental notes and spicy ingredients it can be pull of by a man. It is a autumn - winter scent, warm, capricious, it makes you feel comfortable, as if you are wearing a vibrant and thick coat. Mugler Miroir des Majestés wants to mirror the mantle of a queen, silky, colorful and imposing. It succeeds this image, offering the wearer an excellent olfactory experience, the perfume managing to give birth to an oriental perfume with the classic DNA of the Mugler house.

Oh wow, first spritz, I recoiled, really strong, old fashioned, vintage, like something from the 80s, but expensive vintage. Then a churchy insence takes over which reminds me of a little old shop with candles lit selling tie dye clothing and home made jewellery with insence burning. The middle then turns surprisingly sweet, nothing like the opening and I find myself sniffing and sniffing. That sweet Amber is gooood! At this point it is sweet, warm and spicy and I imagine this is how an Egyptian goddess would smell. As it moves along it softens and I get a 90s Dune/Poeme vibe. It's a complicated one because it takes strength not to scrub it off on first spray. Stick with it because it changes a lot, and personally I really like it, which really is a surprise after my first impression. Would I by a full bottle? Hmmm, not sure yet, needs testing a few more times because it is very different to what I would normally wear. The vintage vibe does put me off a little. Definitely a love or hate frag.

Miroir des Majestes has a mentholated opening, reminiscent of some sort of Chinese medicinal massage oil. I also get a whiff of an animalic note that could get slightly barnyard-y, which is probably the suede note here. Soon, the honey-like white florals take up the stage, and the suede note stays in the background. The jasmine and orange blossom here are very syrupy and dense, layered on a bed of warm, resinous amber and oud. I also get some metallic and medicinal nuances in the background, kind of like a saffron note, but it's not listed here. It has a similar vibe to the Alien Middle Eastern flankers, but they are definitely different enough to have both. The drydown is the same resinous, ambery warmth, with a musky base that could be cashmeran, but less sweet than the heart notes. Projection is great, and it lasted for at least 8 hours on my skin. I have some decant to spare if anyone wants to try this!

Finally was able to obtain this. This is a banger at first spray....animalic/metallic...then the other notes "warm" and "smooth" it up. This is a "not for everyone" type scent. I get "vibes" of other scents....like Mitsouko, Diagaliev....Lauder's Wood or Amber Mystique...but then..."vibes" of yes, Alien Musc/Oud Mysterieaux....and even a dab of Mugler's Aura edp. As potent as the opening is, this when you smell on your skin...goes softer...but the scent cloud remains around you and stays around quite awhile. It is a complex scent..IMO. And it will take several wears to fully understand an/or appreciate it. I am curious to try other scents from the Mirror collection...(but some are hard to find!). I just ordered the Mirror Joyeaux.....so I will see what happens with that one ! Majestes...so far..is a "big like".

I've got my bottle last night. The mirror wall on one side fell off and exposed rather bad quality made wooden box. The smell is too ambery for me, too heavy and cloying. I do not feel any orange blossom, coriander or cardamom. Oud is not prominent at all. It is heavy "amber" (whatever it is, as I have high quality ambergris oil and it smells nice and not overpowering). It does not mean its a bad fragrance - it is just not for me, I just dont like too sweet "amber". The good thing is that the bottle is refillable and I can easily add this perfume to my fabric softener and to body soaps to consume it somehow.

Had to delete my first review of this beautiful gem... this has definetely turned from like to love. Im a real newbe to oud scents...and this one for sure won my attention... that is at least after a while Now this is turning into an addiction. So beautiful soft anmber and leathery, cardamom, oud and pleasant jasmine. This one is for sure an amazing introduction into the world of oud... I love it ! Alomost got rid of it .. glad I didnt. Silage and longevity is amazing like any other Mugler scent.

Another one from the Miroir collection that I searched high and low to get but eventually do not love... Very sweet, clean opening with Poeme-style squeaky clean flowers and powdery sugar to follow. Not enough oud for me. I also tried Miroir des Voluptes and the oud note is very similar between the two (less potent in Majestes) but it feels different to other high end ouds (Oud Ispahan, Oud Palao etc). My search for my holy grail of jasmin-oud combos continues (recommendations are welcome!)

Contradictory feelings about this fragrance. It is a declarative jasmine from the beginning to the end. It resembles a little with Mugler Essence Absolue, but it has an individual aura which comes from the spicy notes of cardamom and by the fine touching of the oud notes. Like the rest of Mugler's fragrances, it is a force when it comes to longevity. I love it after 10-15 minutes but I'm not sure if I could wear it everyday.

This is super intense herbal medicinal oud on first spray. So much cardamom. Then it settles in its own sweet time to something quite lovely - still strong but warm sweet spices amber and woods. Lasts forever. It’s A LOT this perfume - but it makes me think of so many Middle Eastern perfumes around now so cheap , with such similar notes and accords but don’t quite reach the quality of this.

I’m so in love with the beginning of this perfume and so disappointed by its dry down that screams Alien aka synthetic to me. I’m afraid it’s coriander but I’m not sure. I’m thorn between love and hate with this one. Update: this perfume is addictive. It’s definitely a love now.

Really elegant spicy jasmine with slightly vintage vibe and a bit of indolic notes. It’s somewhat sweet and musky with a warm woody base. It’s sophisticated and smells very niche, but still slightly old-fashioned for my taste. Follow me on IG: scent.guide

Sweet, spicy, slightly boozy Amber and clean Oud.

Hmm I’m not loving this. I thought I would following some YouTube video reviews but it’s definetly not for me. At first I got an overwhelming honey type scent which I’m guessing must be the amber? I know I don’t love honey in scents, Scandal etc but I thought amber would smell differently to that. Anyway, between that and what I think might be the coriander or cardamom this turns into smelling identical to the little independent health store I visit in the city - I smell I most definitely don’t want to smell of. Finally it seems to be a bit of a headache inducer for me. Sorry to be such a Debbie downer about this - it’s not horrible - I just personally don’t see any appeal to smelling like this. This definetly improves over time - the spices become less noticeable and the scent becomes softer, more appealing and much less health food store.

I got a sample. Sorry, but no. This was not for me and I had to wash it off. This smells too vintage and unisex to me. Someone said that this have old pharmacy smell and I agree.

مولاي .. أسعد الله مساءك وكل مساء. مليكتي الغالية.. تعالي هنا إلى جواري وشاركيني خلوتي. ولكني أخشى أن أفسد عليك وحدتك وخلوتك بنفسك. على العكس تماما، فأنا الليلة بحاجة لأن أنظر إلى المرآة. ولكن يا مولاي!!! أوتظنين مليكتي أن المرآة لكن فقط بنات حواء، أو أنها فقط لأوقات الزينة والهندام، لكم أفتقد أن أنظر إلى نفسي داخل المرآة وأتفقدها لأين وصل بها المآل بعد طول سفر وترحال، اقتربي مليكتي وقربي مني هذه المرآة الصافة. مليكتي .. هل لك أن تقتربي مني وتنظرين إليّ مولاي أراك تمعن النظر ووكأنك ترى شيئا ذا بال. دعيني أغوص داخل المرآة وأرجع بالزمان لماض لا تفارقني ذكراه، ها أنا ذا صغير يجلس على حافة النهر تتبع عيناه سير الماء حتى نهاية المدى، وأحيانا يقوم مهرولا ليلحق به يناديه: "انتظرني لا ترحل .. عد وخذني معك" ولكن دائما يمضي الماء في صمت. حتى طيور السماء ترحل لتلحق بها الغيمات.. الجميع يرحلون وحتى أنتِ أيضا أيتها الشمس عما قريب سترحلين ويرحل معك النهار.. صغيري أين أنت .. هيا عد إللى البيت قبل أن يظلم المكان. حسنا يا أماه أنا آت. صغيري .. أفي كل يوم تعود هكذا حزينا؟ أمي .. إنهم يرحلون دائما يرحلون .. الماء والطيور والغيمات والشمس، كلهم يرحلون.. لماذا يرحلون؟ وأين يذهبون؟ أيا صغيري هكذا الحياة.. يرحلون مساءا ولكنهم دائما ما يعودون في الصباح.. ولولا رحيلهم لما ظهر القمر ولا نجوم السماء. نعم أنا أحب القمر وأحب أيضا نجوم السماء، ويتمتم الصغير: "بالأمس كانوا عشرة وعشرة وعشرة وخمسة وسبعة" بل كانوا أكثي بكثير، ولكنهم أيضا يرحلون!! لماذا لا ينتظرون فيجتمعوا سويا بشمس النهار ومياه النهر والطيور والغيمات؟ تعود يا بني على أن الحياة هكذا تمضي، فلكي تعطيك شيئا يجب أن تغيب عنك أشياء، هيا صغيري تناول طعامك قبل أن تفسده برودة الليل. أمي .. لكم أحبك يا أمي ولكم أحب رائحة ما تعدينه لي من طعام. إنها بعض التوابل يا بني لتجعل الطعام شهيا. وما هي هذه التوابل؟ إنها أعشاب وحبوب كهذه الكزبرة والهيل الحاران اللذان يجعلان الطعام له رائحة تثير الشهية وتعدل من المزاج، ولكن حذار من الافراط في تناولها وإلا انقلب الحال فليس كل ما يصلح الأمور يزيدها صلاحا بزيادته ولكن كل شيء له مقدار. ويكمل الصغير طعامه سريعا ليلحق بأمه قبل أن تفتح كيسه الجلدي الذي حاكته له من جلد الغزال المسكي النادر. أمااااااااه .. لا لا تفتحي الكيس. ولماذا يا صغيري؟ ماذا عساه بداخل كيسك اليوم؟ إنها هديتي لك.. ويفرغ الصغير في حجر أمه ما بداخل الكيس من أزهار البرتقال الندية التي تشع منها رائحة الحياة مختلطة بأزهار الياسمين الدافئة. أتدرين يا أماه لمذا جمعت لك هذه الأزهار البيضاء؟ لماذا يا أحن وأجمل الصغار؟ لأن بياضها من بياض قلبك.. ورائحتها من طيب أنفاسك وتضمني أمي لتفرغ من قلبها دفئا يسري لأعماقي ويطرد الأشباح كلها من داخلي. أمي .. أحقا تكثر الأشباح ليلا وتدخل إلى بيوتنا؟ لا يا صغيري إن الأشباح لا تدخل إلى بيوت عمرتها طاعة الله، أو قلوب تتلألأ من أنوار ذكر الله وتمجيده وحب الخير للناس أجمعين. هيا يا صغيري تعال إلى سريرك فلقد حان موعد نومك وتأخذني أمي إلى حجرتي وقد أطلقت بداخلها أبخرة رائعة من العود والعنبر كي أنعم بنوم هادئ عميق. ويستلقي الصغير على سريره ليسطع على وجهه نور القمر الذى قد لاح بعيدا أعلى السماء ومن حوله الكثير والكثير من نجوم السماء، ويبدأ الصغير كعادته ليلا في عدها حتى يغالبه النوم قبل أن يكمل آخر المهام. "عشرة وعشرة وعشرة وخمسة وسبعة" مولاي .. ماذا تقول وما كل هذه الأعداد؟؟ مليكتي .. إنها بعض ما يتلألأ داخل مرآة عينيك من نجوم كل مساء. أكل هذا قد رأيته داخل عيني يا مولاي؟ بالطبع لا فلقد رأيت أكثر من هذا بكثير، ولكن ليس كل ما يرى يمكن أن يعبر عنه الكلام. ---------------------------------- عطرمرآة أصحاب الجلالة "Miroir des Majestes" ميروا دي ماجيست هو أحد العطور الخاصة من دار تيري موجلر. العطر مصنف للنساء ولكني أراه يصلح للجنسين بامتياز تام فلا يمكن أن نحرم نحن الرجال من هذه التوليفة الفاتنة لهذه الأنف العبقرية "Nathalie Lorson"، العطر يعد نمطا فريدا في تقديم رائحة العود في حلة لم أره يوما بهذه الروعة بعيدا عن عشق رائحة العود الدهنية الثقيلة التي لها من العشاق الكثيرين وأنا منهم فالعود يقدم اليوم على قطعة حريرية ناعمة من الأزهار البيضاء الافتتاحية التابلية في قمة الهدوؤ والاتزان ويمكن ألا تلحظها من الأساس ولكن سيبقى اثرها مع عدم ملاحظتك في السيطرة على تفجر زهرة البرتقال حتى لا تحوله لعطر صيفي بالغ الحركة جلد الغزال الرائع الذي يجمع بين رائحة الجلود الفاخرة وبين الرائحة الناعمة المسكية هو أحد أهم نقط تميز العطر أما العنبر الكهرماني مع زهرة الياسمين فهما الوسط البديع الفاتن الذي ضم العود واحتواه داخل ما يشع منهما من دفء وجورماندية أضفت على عبق العطر أبعادا من الغموض ليطلق العنان للخيال فينقلك لتجوب أروقه قصور أسطورية كقصور ألف ليلة وليلة.

Thierry Mugler has left a permanent mark in both,the couture and the perfume industry. Idiosyncratically sumptuous aesthetics, bitch-fatale attitude, eye catching fashion narrative. The same boldness in their backbone, with elements of elegance, opulence and campiness are omnipresent in his mygler circle fragrance universe. Almost all his perfumes are ultra successful in sales and the way they influenced pop culture/ fragrance world upon their release and specifically because of this , they have created a mass appealing effect which i find reductive... In 2008, the Miroir-Miroir collection was introduced as a second attempt of a more artistic, aimed towards clients maybe of a more acquired taste profile.4 years later Moiroir des Majestes made its debut. The kitch/ plasticie mirror-oid box fells like a bad joke...Then the bottle is the exact opposite with it's vectoral design, its Guerlainesque calligraphy containing a dark ambery liquid. This is a perfume of great importance to the house. First of all, it doesn't fill like a Mugler creation. It is more elevated than everything I've tested from the entire Mugler universe, thous far.I ve been wearing this almost all week, everyday and I ve know it since I started using it, which is 2020, 12 years after its release. It has a very harsh, but bearable and i have to admit very likable opening.It is also a bit disorientating because of a very pronounced retro vibe it exudes, grabbing and throwing you back in time...like a tamed younger sister of the Elizabeth Taylor's perfume collection...During the first 5 minutes i get a tremendous dose of labdanum (the amber accord from the base) that quickly rests into the back.Then the next couple of hours an indolic a tango between the prominent bright orange blossom and the supporting green jasmine is all that happens, but it is so privately narcotic. Then it all turns into amber, a resinous myrrh like amber. It is a lovely, long lasting with medium sillage. A show-stopper for the wearer, an intimate show that is not intended for an audience.... I cannot forget to mention that in the beginning it conjured diabolical fractions of La Couche du Diable SL

This is a concept, not only a fragrance. I am absolutely amazed by this creation. I don t feel it too animalic, I think it depends on skin. it is strong, intoxicating, very complex and it smels expensive. I don t feel the oud and that was a good surprise for me. The amber, white florals and suede are the most proeminent. This beautiful exclusive creation has NOTHING, I mean absolutely nothing to do with Alien and all the flankers. This is something totally else and, IMO, the best from all three creation in this discontinued collection. No need to add the box - wood, velvet and real mirrors and the bottle, a piece of art with heavey quality glass, a metallic heavy sword melted in the heart of the glass and a heavy, metallic cap, absolutely stunning. Old farmacy? Come on. You need to understand this fragrance. There is no farmacy and nothing cold or austere. Mugler is a genius in his concepts... I love this MAGESTY, still radiates after hours and hours when I am wearing. I have no idea if was reformulated until discontiunation but the late 2011 and 2012 editions are spectacular. Bravo!

Gorgeous! I'm a fan of Thierry Mugler - the scents are always bold and beautiful but I'm not a fan of smelling like everyone else. I love Alien but I've decided alien liqueur and absolu will be my alien fixes as they add a different dimension. I'm yet to try the leather one and I LOVE leather in perfume. Anyway the Mirror Mirror collection - so hard to come by but worth trying. Envies I love! It's beautiful. Dis moi - not sure as the sample was so small I don't feel I got the full oomph. Voluptes - love it but the oud is very strong, it's the projecting note and it's loud and bold. I don't feel like it's me but I love wearing it! I can't quite get my head round it but I love it! I sold my voluptes to my mum who already had a bottle (she's now selling one bottle on eBay as 2 bottles of voluptes is just greedy). Then we won majestes! Oh yes! This is my love! It's got the oud but it's a trailing whisper behind the resinous luxurious florals! Nobody else is wearing this. I'm wearing it at home on my sofa and thinking Mugler created the universe! It's divine!

Are you seriously, girls? You don't know how to describe this fragrance? I have never smelled a Mugler perfume. So, I decided to buy one. But which one of them? So, I had to watch a few videos on youtube about Mugler. Thanks to the youtubers Mila Le Blanc and Demi Rawling I bought this one. So, dear Mila, `this smells sexy`, `smells like sex`... Well, you have made me curious about its smell. Here I am with my first Mugler. The bottle looks like a Xerjoff 1888, the cork is almost the same at the both, the color of the juice is the same, probably from amber. Even the beginning of the smell is the same. But after a minute it transforms into an Amouage Opus VIII (8) smell. Actually, this smells like you mix up half bottle of Xerjoff 1888 with half of Opus VIII. It's that simple. So, I am happy that I found this juice to be niche like smell and quality. It is totally unisex. Enjoy it !
