Mugler Cologne Fly Away

One of, if not the most nuanced cologne/two-note style fragrance I’ve ever smelled. Upon first spray your nose is sucker punched by this wonderfully bright, juicy, and realistic grapefruit flesh and pith with a lovely green backbone. After about 15 minutes the green starts to bloom and come to life as it develops the undeniable and unmistakable smell of fresh and growing hemp with some of the intoxicating camphoric terpenes you come to love if you smoke weed. Even as it develops the weed never takes the center stage, mostly supporting and adding much appreciated nuance to the grapefruit, now every part - the flesh, pith, and rind - all being apparent. As someone who smokes a fair amount of weed, I can say with full certainty that while this does have the smell of weed in it, it’s not the dried, slightly dusty, and intensely camphoric smell you get from the smoke or dried weed you use to smoke. This is very green and hempy, with lovely slight camphoric and dark nuances that only lend to accentuate the intensely fresh and citric grapefruit. While I personally wouldn’t wear this to work or somewhere super formal, in the air it doesn’t scream “I smoke weed!” as much as some it’s contemporaries like “Ganja” by Comme des Garçons and “Chronic” by 19-69 does. Instead, like stated earlier, in the air it just gives it some slight green and camphoric nuances that make this as good as it is. It’s a super easy dumb reach for quick errands, casual hangouts with friends on a hot day, or the gym, and for the price I got it at, it’s a steal for the really really nice quality. 9.2/10. Song vibe - PLAIN JANE by ARDN Another W for Mugler. EDIT: Nearly worn through half of my bottle since I first got this bottle. A true workhorse in the rotation as that bright green grapefruit in the morning just puts a smile on my face. Gym buddies now know when I come to the gym cause the scent pushes much further than expected lol. Best darty fragrance I own, people love this on me when it's pushing off my skin under the hot sun. Most underrated frag from the house, hands down. 10/10. Signature scent worthy.

THIS IS IT. after a long search, i have finally found my perfect weed fragrance !!! fly away has a decently realistic smell of freshly picked/ground bud, but it's honestly so well blended with the grapefruit that it ends up smelling like much much more... it's incredibly refreshing, as well as fruity, aromatic, herbaceous, and somehow juicy and dry all at once... it's almost like a tree stump covered in moss that someone poured grapefruit juice all over and then stuck kief to it lol. such a beautiful and satisfying combination of fresh and dank. this smell actually brings a smile to my face and is truly a pleasure to wear. wish it lasted a bit longer but oh well. for the low price and delicious unique scent, you really can't go wrong - just a lil overspray will do ya! can't wait to douse myself in this on my days off :> edit: this layered w womanity will make you the sexiest fruit in the jungle 🍉🌴 edit edit: although this fragrance is incredible on its own, i've found that it's also the perfect layering scent with manyyy others, especially with other muglers. i particularly enjoy it with heavy/saccharine fragrances that need a bit of brightness or a sort of masculine touch (for lack of a better word) (fragrance has no gender !!). edit edit edit: i now wear this all the time - to work, to the store, to dates, to concerts. it just fits, always (esp in the unending florida heat). it's so clean and casual and refreshing and perfect ! one of my favorites ever. my 100ml bottle is already halfway empty 🥲

I just got this in the mail today, I’ve been trying different frags with weed notes recently, and this one is my favorite hands down. Something I notice with the canna note is that it can be pungent and very headache inducing. Obviously there’s no such thing universally, but it comes off almost as the tofu of animalic scents, the stink can be overwhelming- fly away is a very juicy & sparkling grapefruit - very refreshing, nuanced & you get a bit of an herbal background. It can definitely be reminiscent of smelling unsmoked bud in higher humidities, also a bit like mint leaves? It works gr8 with the grapefruit making it v acceptable & wearable- this frag does the weed so well, but I wouldn’t’ve been able to put a finger on it right away if i tried to guess the blend. I think it’s so nice for the summer, I’m addicted to the idea of wearing this. I got a 10ml for $22 total (inc ship+tax) on fragrance net before committing to a full bottle. Longevity isn’t crazy ofc considering the concentration, but if you don’t mind reapplying through the day, it’s totally safe to, as the opening isn’t offensive or too loud. Yaaay actually very happy to have finallllyyy got this off my discovery list. ^Ive noticed the canna note does best in edt concentrations compared to scents like ganga by cdg. I just got it in. I have not worn it officially yet but I have sprayed it on skin to test it out. The very immediate opening it like an angry lemon and an angry grapefruit having a fight with a cannabis plant. And I like it. A few minutes pass and the citrus and cannabis gel together very well and the cannabis takes the lead roll by just a little. About an hour and 15 minutes later its a skin scent with a light citrus scent, but if you rub on the spray spot cannabis resurfaces. I suspect this may not be a high performer. I did use just one spray... Going to let the wife have a go at this one since its unisex. Will update after I wear it a full day. UPDATE: Oh yes! I really am feeling this. My wife likes it too. She doesn't get the cannabis, she thinks it is a woody scent, takes her back to grandfather's house.. hmm. Anyway. It is not short lived like I thought it would be. It has good performance. Been wearing for 6 hours and it still radiates in little burps of sweet cannabis and lemon/grapefruit. It is really refreshing and pleasant. I find it leans a tad more to the masculine than the other way but really either could pull it off. I could see a woman sporting this. Outgoing - free spirited. This is a fun scent. not a formal scent. Its original and different.

Oh wow...this grapefruit is outstanding! Nothing needs to be tweaked here, nothing. I wasn't sure I was going to enjoy just these two notes (so dumb, Alien is really simple, but smells like so much more, I shouldn't have doubted), but this is perfect. And despite the citrus not being absolutely immortal, it does last a good deal longer than most citrus stuff on the market, and I'm totally, totally content with that. This is juicy, crispy (also slightly bitter) grapefruit that jolts the senses, paired with a pungent aromatic spice. Yet, for all of that, it isn't acrid or overkill. This doesn't smell exactly like cannabis, but it does have elements of the herb. I live near a lot of growers, and I'm familiar with the smell both in the air, and smoked (WA state USA yo!). It's a bit prickly, quite green, and borrows from the scent of weed...but it doesn't pass for it to my nose. The thing is, I'm so content with this that I don't even actually care. Did I want a realistic cannabis smell? Yes. Does it matter? Not really. What it actually does smell slightly of to me is petitgrain and pepper. This leans slightly masculine to me (I'm just saying that to explain, not imply who should wear this), and projects well. My Mugler fangirl gauge is rising higher and higher 🪴 📈
