Mugler Cologne Take Me Out

Take Me Out is my first foray into the Mugler Cologne line. As much as we all love our fragrances to have 1500 notes and be “complex,” there is something stately about a simple perfume, and Take Me Out really demonstrates that. I wasn’t expecting much going into the first test, but to be fair, I love orange blossom. Still, I was pleasantly surprised knowing about the simplicity. To me, this smells bright and intriguing, something I would wear regularly, and I did find myself gravitating to it on my arm often versus another perfume I was testing: YSL Libre. I have yet to receive other samples in the cologne line, which are coming, so I haven’t been able to try any layered combinations. The shiso in this definitely gives this a slight (really slight) peppery and ultimately fresh feel. Someone mentioned this smells soapy, and I think it’s this that lends itself to that interpretation. This is definitely one you reach for when you just want to smell pleasant on a tiny trip out while shopping, going out for coffee, or heading over to a friend’s house for a nice chat. I could see this being a decent work scent. No one is going to scrunch their face at you if you walk into the room wearing this. The longevity is decent, at least when S P R A Y E D. I sprayed around four sprays on my left arm, and I could still identify it after about 8 hours.

Beautiful green scent with a touch of orange blossom for the warmer months. Shiso is definitely the main player throughout the life of this fragrance and I love that. I also love the fact that it's unique, yet I think it's underappreciated in some ways. I certainly wouldn't recommend this one as a safe blind buy. The wearer must love Shiso in order to really appreciate this fragrance.

lovely.these kind of orange blossom/ neroli scents are made for people who hate/are scared of wearing frags,so easy to wear, its unisex, if you loved mugler cologne you will love this too. enjoying it in winter days also 9/10

This is pretty much Come Together with petitgrain and musk tuned down and orange blossom way amped up. Although not listed here, neroli still has a significant presence here, alongside with petitgrain contributing to the slight bitterness. I have to stick my nose to where I applied this perfume to get the slight pepperiness from shiso, otherwise neroli is stronger than the shiso note. The shiso note also adds to the sparkling feels of this fragrance, and with the sweetness from orange blossom, it feels as if I'm sipping a glass of sparkling orange juice. This is perfect for spring and summer, although the orange blossom could be a bit overwhelming in hot weathers. It's a nice smelling scent, but in terms of originality, there are more unique flankers in the Mugler Cologne line.

I actually liked this one a lot. Since Neroli Portofino didn’t pass the test, one has to choose the right citrus scent, right alongside the right—or rather right green scents, where the battle is between Beach Hut, Fathom V, and say, Nota di Viaggio. Finding the proper citrus is tough. Is it Cristalle? I already know you can’t go all-in on Neroli; a mix of citrus with Neroli isn’t enough either. So the options circle back to Mugler, Dior Cologne, and similar things. I particularly liked Take Me Out because of a note here, but I need to check it again.
