Ambrette Rose

Possibly the best perfume I've ever had/smelled. Been longing for a dark and heavy parfume far awhile now and came across this one two weeks ago. I tested it one day and thought of nothing else a whole week until I bought it. Haven't regretted it at allthough it is a bit pricey. Good thing is that it lasts very long and develop it's scent all day almost from minute to minute! It is so deep and beautiful! And it is made by a very small company, so chances of you being the only one wearing it is big. I will use this perfume the rest of my life. I am in love.

What I really like about this is the 'halo'. I.e., how the scent trails behind me. That's when I pick up the luscious roses and resinous base notes. I don't recommend, however, putting your nose to wrist. That is when it goes discordant and flat. This is a dry scent. Key to your enjoyment is how well you like ambrette. This can wear a bit "weedy" on me, but there are enough other things going on to keep it interesting. This is not a scent for daytime but night. I recommend it if going clubbing; again movement is key to enjoyment. Since this is a more natural line, longevity is about 3 hours, but the price is so fair you can comfortably reapply as needed

The other reviewer was right about this being ‘weedy.’ I should have paid more attention to that. This smells like a rose dying in water. Not a deep dried petal smell, it’s right as the flower is starting to go bad and the water needs changed. I love ambrette but I’m not picking any up. Disappointed because I blind bought a full bottle.

this is total intoxication by scent. Amazing. The trail is light yet hypnotizing, and lasts until the next day. Extremely alluring!
