Al Bashiq Sama

This perfume is so complex... First time i tried it in the shop it was very nice, i bought and the only thing i smelled was pepper, after weeks of using it i can now smell pineapple, it changes so much if i just get out of the shower or in a sunny day. Would love to hear more reviews on it

I agree with Matt below. This is a complex and hard to explain fragrance. It has some notes in it I have never smelled before in my 100 bottle collection. I get the pineapple and pepper for sure. There is a note in here that smells like moth balls. I don't know what note is causing this smell. It's fruity and peppery but not spicy. 3 Stars or worse unless this moth both smell macerates out of this fragrance. There are much better Nabeel fragrances. Irth is my favorite and a personal signature scent.

I’d say probably that Al Bashiq Sama is the most unique creation from The Master Perfumer’s Collection and is about as far away from Al Bashiq as you could possibly get. I cannot connect the relation between the two when this is supposed to be a spin off of Al Bashiq. Even though I personally find Al Bashiq as completely unwearable, Sama is a totally different story. The oud in this is very dry and really deep unlike Al Bashiq’s oud that is an overkill of rotting teeth coupled with overwhelming dragon breath that results in one offensive odor. Al Bashiq Sama on the other hand is an amazing and dense perfume. It is so unique, potent and very difficult to describe with a most complex sillage. The complexity is titillating to say the least with three very distinct stages, and the pleasure/satisfaction factor is off the charts. Sitting at a 69% non-denatured alcohol content, the perfume performs strongly with a very long dry down. In a nut shell, Al Bashiq Sama is a cleverly blended and highly original oud/rose combo. And for the record, there is no may rose in this. It is in fact Damascena rose from The Valley Of Ta’if, or Taifi rose, one of my all time favorite notes. It is a skillfully blended soapy Ta’if laid over a wonderfully deep and woody oud chord with leathery saffron, raspberry and patchouli as supporting notes. The genius addition of styrax lends a further deep and balsamic incensy nuance in the base notes. The combination of spicy and cooling cloves, pineapple and citrusy timur spice creates a slightly fruity and peppery background however, keep in mind that Al Bashiq Sama after all is a most amazing oud/Ta’if perfume with a twist. 1 drop of Taifi rose oil spread out with a couple of sprays of Al Bashiq Sama on top is pure olfactory oud/Taifi heaven. The oud in this is the perfect amount and couldn’t have been any better. And the dry down on this stuff is a masculine, narcotic and intoxicating oud/Ta’if for endless hours.
