This wants to be a piercing Taifi rose over precious resins including myrrh, oud, and frankincense. A very clean and powerful fragrance that reminds me in some ways of Homage by Amouage. The base is actually quite nice. What I can't fathom is the clean piercing citrus plus floral note, that wants to be like that rose in Homage, but here is synthetic and powerful like Tide detergent is powerful. It smells like cheap geranium blended with citronellol and synthetic jasmine (hedione?) in a powerful dose. It's so sharp. It's almost making this unwearable for me. It fades a little bit after a half hour, making the composition more wearable, but retains its germ killing edge. I see what they are going for, it's an abstract flower and its really cool if it was not so synthetic. It's a shame the materials used are cheap because the Nabeel compositions are very thoughtful and clever, and were they executed in the best materials would rival the compositions of very expensive niche houses.

First of all heavy expensive looking bottle!! I have enclosed a piece of paper inside plastic pouch allowing to mature, I do this because I want to get unadulterated virgin nose first impression. Its very citrussy thats the main scent I get, but its softened by other scents which none are standing out for me at this point. Yes I can get that familiar incensey smell shadowing in the background which is probably responsible for mellowing down the citrus sharpness. I’m sure this will evolve into something else when wearing on skin and reacting with oxygen so will do that later. Pleasant smell, I’m increasingly leaning towards these attars for several reasons, they are really growing on me which is the only way to go as they are not surrounded by hype.
