Metamorphose Lilas Cuir

It is a very sensual leathery delicate scent ... leather notes of unusual tenderness and the most pleasant tactility are woven into the fruity-floral composition ... I literally feel how soft and silky the note is. Opening on my skin, this leather note solo from start to finish, inflaming its ardor, it is densely saturated with some outlandish aromas, which makes its sound have an unusual shade, echoing the name of the fragrance. The aroma envelops, sounds close to the body, igniting passion from its warmth; there is something frantic in it, and even an animal ... it is impossible to tear yourself away from the wrist, the aroma absorbs its passion, excites mooladhara, the energy is excited with every breath ... very soulful and sexy ..

Metamorphose Lilas Cuir is closely related to Metamorphose Lilas Night, but I prefer this one. The difference between the two is that more notes are listed on MLC (strawberry gum and hyrax) and I get a bit more of the wood+rum vibe (not actual notes) from MLN. The extremely unusual notes used make this difficult to describe. The scent is resinous and floral, with some leafy greenness. There’s a hint of log fire smoke that becomes more apparent over time. The more it dries down, the better it gets. It gets softer and the sandalwood becomes much more noticeable. This projects well for about 2 hours and stays on the skin for a long time.

The fragrance of Métamorphose Lilas was created in 2014 in two distinct versions: one for the day and more aimed at the female audience and another for the night, designed for both genres. A year later (2015) the perfumer launched two another versions under the same theme, called Métamorphose Lilas Cuir (unisex) and Métamorphose Lilas Pink (for woman). In the case of this version, it is inserted in the collection called Ecosystems – Silk Road Garden and depicts the smell of amorous bodies and pulsating souls, through the unique characteristic of the leather note, which is very sensual and animalistic. The creative concept worked on eroticism, the contact of the skin with the skin, the fullness of the lovers. And the fragrance of Métamorphose Lilas Cuir has notes of lilac and tuberose, buchu from Africa, honey, beeswax, tonka bean, oud, vetiver, Omumgorwa resin, Strawberry Gum and Hyraceum, as well as Ximenia oil. For those who do not know, Buchu (Agathosma betulina) can only be found in South Africa and its oil has a strong smell of fresh blackcurrant; the Omumgorwa is a resin that only forms after a species of the tree dies naturally. It smells of ripe dates and tends to gain nuances of caramel over the years; the Strawberry Gum is produced from a species of eucalyptus (Eucalyptus olida), which is only found in Australia and is threatened. Unlike the other types of eucalyptus, the oil produced from its leaves smells sweet, reminiscent of a mixture of strawberry, banana, and cinnamon; the Hyraceum is the petrified excrement of Procavia Capensis (also known as Rock Hyrax), composed of feces and urine and whose result has elements that combine the scent of civet, castoreum, musk, and even tobacco; the Ximenia is known as African sour plum, whose oil has honey consistency and helps to prolong the duration of the perfume. On the skin, Métamorphose Lilas Cuir surprised me with one of the most beastly leather accords I ever felt. No, I'm not talking about a drier leather in the midst of so many perfumery leather accords, reminiscent of soft boots or jackets or even the smell of new car upholstery. Here, the smell of leather is almost salty, like a leather that is smoke-dried along with some animal part. A smell of dates or that gum that resembles strawberries? No way! This time, the perfumer took a step forward and created the after-party scent of who was using Métamorphose Lilas Night. Here we have the scent of those who have already danced, drank and now will end the night in a torrid way, on the sheets of a bed (or, perhaps, over the dining table). The hyraceum dictates the rules and the rest complements. The perfumer defines it as fruity-leathery, woody and amber. I consider it to be leathery, with an accord I would call sensual-pheromone and full of nuances of tobacco during evolution. In terms of DNA, since we are talking about a kind of flanker, I would say it has more connection with the fragrance of Métamorphose Lilas Night. It projects a lot, behaves in a linear way (without great surprises) and has excellent durability in the skin. Honestly, I do not see such a unisex approach, but very masculine, full of virility. Métamorphose Lilas Cuir is not the type of perfume for those who only sympathize with leather notes. It is for those who love fragrances of this style and think that have already seen everything in this family and nothing else will surprise.
