Summary: Original, balanced, simple but sophisticated smell(s). Refreshing, herbal citrusy and sweet. Not conceived as a people pleaser but indeed a very refreshing respectful, safe for WORK and every situation and weather condition, compliment getter. Projection and LONGEVITY are POOR after 2 hours. Overspraying is a MUST for the product to have any use/significance. Performance: Because of its poor longevity, the balance desintegrates after being applied and so yields in a fragrance that has 3 profile scents. All of them are very good and compatible for the same type of situations, because although different, they have the same psyche/character. When first applied, 1-2 hours max is what it was designed for. All the notes are there and very carefully balanced. 10/10. At the 2-3 hours mark its still a good balance without the refreshing ice, the basil and cedar start dying out. At the 4-5 hours the as the herbal/woodsy component shies away the citruses and "juicy" mandarin sweetness takes over. Breakdown: The "ice" is completely gone after 2 hours becoming only a skin close scent, 3 hours with decent projection remaining for the rest of the notes which are very balanced (cedar, basil and citruses and a discrete musk) so in total 5 hours performance. When it comes to the other notes after the ice is gone (first 2 hours), then it smells green, slightly herbal-warm yet definitely refreshing. As the day goes by and the sun warms the atmosphere, weather gets even warmer (>24C) then it smells even sweeter; think, of the sweet smell of the mandarin, but its a refreshing type of sweet like a "cold mandarin juice". Conclusion: very good smelling, original, sophisticated and discrete, multifacated, refreshing and respectful fragrance for an uplifiting commuting and appropriate for work setting with a very poor longevity and projection. Longevity and projection can be corrected by over-spraying + arm-spraying. Verdict: Considering over-spraying+arm-spraying 10/10 during the first 1-2 hours of applying. After a more realistic time frame, 4/5 because of poor longevity.

This is such a well put together fresh, elegant & modern MUSK fragrance! It starts with windy icy ❄️ 🧊 crispy notes of citrus 🍊 for the first hour and then transitions to reveal the combination of musk & some woody notes. I can also smell some green aromatic notes in the background as well. After a few hours, I thought the scent disappeared from me then it keeps coming back depends on the wind direction.(I was outdoor today walking under the beautiful sunny day ☀️ 😎 🌳) All of Narciso Rodriguez fragrance collections are consistently unique, elegant, classic with a modern twist and the note of musk is the protagonist, the heart of musk, and you can always expect that lingering presence. But this particular musk for “bleu noir” collection is super soft, modern and elegantly sexy. Anyone can pull this off and such a refined craft that this one is for any age and any occasion. Very versatile fragrance. Although it says “Extreme”, it’s more a delicate less pronounced (except the first hour or so), very sophisticated fragrance so if you wish the fragrance to stay & follow you longer, I recommend to go heavier on sprays. And you can even refresh a few more sprays in 6 to 8 hour mark if you wish to stand out in a crowd... well maybe not right now due to COVID-19. I love this especially for this summer season along with the previous release of EDP version for a bit denser classy scent. If you like Blu de Chanel but looking into changing it a bit, this bleu noir collection is it! It’s definitely different yet you can still enjoy the elegant, modern, sophisticated man’s scent. Maybe not so much for college students or club goer type fragrance but rather impressive classy man’s fragrance but if you’re a still young and like the scent, why not. 😍👍🏽👍🏽✨👔👞💼⌚️🏙💙🤍

Exquisite composition by Sonia Constant, radiating an smooth aura of inviting and supreme sophistication. There is a delicious opening of icy green mandarin and basil; fine, fresh ... Blended with a heart of sensual cedar, seductive musk and mysterious ebony. I have the three fragrances from the Bleu Noir collection by Narciso Rodríguez: For me, this EDT Extreme is a step further on the path started with the original but in a smoother and "aerial" direction. This new version is fresher but deeper, and softer but more seductive - in my experience - than the first EDT (which is safer and more versatile throughout the year). It makes a perfect match with the EDP to cover all the situations to get closer... The juice has excellent quality, but be careful: It's a fragrance of delicate nuances, so it is not for rude noses: Projection is soft - just as it must be a true classy scent -. Possibly, it won't be loved by "loud" guys. - Duration & Projection: Moderate to soft; for me it's a long lasting subtle projector: + 8h of refined scent waves. - Mood: Cool, seductive, masculine, inviting... - Age: >25. - Scenario & Ocassions: It can be used at any time, but will shine especially on spring, summer and early fall sunsets... - Conclusion: An elegant, contemporary and excellent "designer" release. I was in a courtroom watching a trial, and a group of men walked in and sat on the bench in front of me. One of them smelled absolutely DIVINE. Mouthwateringly so. My friend and I couldn't get over how good it was. I was wearing chanel chance eau fraiche and the two fragrances mixed was insane. I recognized it as a musky blue kind of fragrance, and it reminded me of the narciso musk so I blind bought this one as the notes listed are more fresh than the others. It's not quite the same, but I fell so incredibly, madly in love with this. It's soft and fresh, and makes me feel so clean. It isn't super masculine to me, just musky fresh. Though it did pull more masculine on my brother. I keep coming back to this since the weather is warm and I'm loving it, who knew I could feel so good wearing a men's fragrance? Only downside is it's a skinscent from first spray. Maybe I'm noseblind, but I could spray this for days and it wouldn't be too much. I don't usually feel the need to top up a fragrance I've sprayed, but I'm going to bring a decant with me to refresh it because it doesn't project past the clothes you spray it on! I'm going to try the EDP next because I still can't get those men out of my head, and what I smelled wasn't quite as fresh as this one. Fingers crossed 🤞

I’m with kustom a couple reviews below, it’s frustrating to get down into the reviews and the page reloads. Anyways, onward into the review. This stuff is pretty good!! For me it does what i expected Dior Homme Cologne to do but better, something about the musks used here resonates with me a lot more than the aforementioned. I know that is saying a whole lot and sounds crazy but for my tastes it’s my opinion. Although i will mention that there are other citruses in this realm that outshine this. I think this would be awesome for a college aged guy with a touch of OCD and minimalism. The simplistic nature of this and the fact that it looks really good on a shelf next to Dolce & Gabbana The One edp could honestly justify being half of a killer 2 bottle only collection that covers almost anything. I’m gonna start ending my reviews with an honest negative trait which, most, even expensive bottles have at least one. Just for good and honest measure. This can come off as lemon antibacterial wipe. Like those you’d wipe the counters and toilet in the restroom with. Hope you made it this far without the page reloading and have a great rest of your day.

After a long hike in the blazing sun🌞 you retreat in the shade and grab yourself some ice cold orange juice with a dash of lemonade and thyme and you take a gentle sip of this heavenly liquid as you sit on a freshly made bench of ebony wood. This is what this smells like. Atleast from my perfume oil inspired version. Not too much going on here as per the notes but it's quite enchanting, uplifting, yet creamy and softly seductive. If you have worn Fa Heat Control deodorant, then this fragrance has some memories to it. Nothing synthetic to it btw. The green mandarin is as real as it gets. Someone here mentioned that this smells like TDH Eau Givree. Hmm.. might as well try that one out. Performance may not be a strong suit but for the smell, grab it and douse yourself with it. Such a diamond 💎 in the mud discovered. This is a scent that I feel will have that beautiful lady standing next to you in a queue thinking about you for days.🫨 Ladies can wear it too. 10/10.

This honestly feels criminally underrated. I'm not a Blue/Freshie fan by any stretch, so for me, finding a nice, elegant Spring/Summer scent isn't the easiest thing in the world. And then, into my life, with the utmost confidence, strolled this beauty. I've yet to pick up a bottle, but I certainly will before Spring gets here, so I can't comment on the longevity or Sillage, but to me, this is just gorgeous. I know it's been voted more of a daytime scent, but for Spring/Summer, I've got Bvlgari Man Wood Neroli & a few other nice/inexpensive floral-based ones for that. I'd gladly use this as a nice, intimate/date night type fragrance for a warmer-ish evening & I honestly see it excelling in that spot. It's fresh, but still has some nice dark & mysterious aspects to it, aspects that would make her (or him, if that's your thing) want to come in for some extra smells & get closer to check the nuances & maybe try to figure out what this is.

Been testing quite a bit with this, primarily because I frickin love this. The ice accord and basil set this apart from tons of “Bleu” fragrances. However there is some nose blindness going on for sure. But then after adjusting my sprays I realize it’s more than just nose blindness , it’s weak as hell, in terms of projection. Longevity is fine, not great but 6 hours no problem. This needs a fragrance enhancer and I think im going with Hez Perfumes out of the big easy. I just gotta pick the right one. Anyway I have a full bottle coming in so I will update once I try an enhancer. Actually I do have 10ml sample of Essential Molecules 05 so I think I’ll start with that. More to come. Btw projects for only an hour on my skin and not even an arms length. Wife and daughter has it more like a foot of projection standing still. But they feel it leaves a nice trail if you walk past, like RIGHT past me. Oh well hopefully enhancer works.

This is beautiful. It's a perfect flanker to the original bleu noir. It retains the same overall formula, but tones down the cardamom and vetiver and turns up the citrus notes. I liked bleu noir EDT but something about the composition made it somewhat of a depressing, rainy day scent. This one, however, is bright, uplifting, and very pleasant, all while being highly unique for a "blue" frag. Also I really think this leans unisex, as it's very soft and soothing, so women could definitely pull this one off too. IMO they should have called this "bleu noir fraiche" instead, since it's not really "extreme" to me. It's a fairly soft scent, with sillage reaching maybe arms length for an hour or two. It can be used in any situation honestly, and I could easily see this becoming someone's signature scent (possibly even mine).

Ultra fresh, uplifting, clean musk. A very small trace of the cardamom and wood that pervades this line is leftover (you get their shadow) but this release has mostly been scrubbed clean. A beautiful citrus is embedded for brightness. It sort of gives me a Drakkar Noir feeling because the creamy white soapy musk reminds me of a shaving foam or suds. A damp, dewey, musky summer gem. The low score on this one is a crime. I guess some people find the idea of a soapy clean men’s musk to be unremarkable. It is simple but it is done ultra well. For my taste, this is well above average and a personal favorite “easy reach”. 9.0/10

I love this fragrance! Narciso Rodriguez For Him Bleu Noir Eau De Toilette Extreme is a cool, refreshing and musky versatile scent that the house of Narciso Rodrigues can be proud of. I personally feel this can be worn year round, just adjust your sprays accordingly. Personally I get better performance in cooler weather. Longevity for me is 7-8 hrs with 2-3 hrs of good projection & then you have a nice comforting scent bubble. As you move about you & others around you will get wafts. Excellent office or casual fragrance. Also, the bottle looks cool! (Narciso. Nice attention to detail!) 10/10👍🏾

Bleu Noir is my most sophisticated "freshie". It comes across as a niche–designer hybrid and is quite enjoyable. There is nothing within my 100+ frags that comes remotely close to it's scent profile. It is a semi–nuclear EDT and in my experience has mysterious female magnetic qualities. It can be enjoyed in any season, but performs moderately and is best suited for hotter months or a cool rainy day. It lasts for only a couple to a few hours on my skin, but more than double that on clothing. I doubt Bleu Noir will ever become widely known, but it is surely a treasure for those who find it~

another home run for Narciso Rodriguez and Sonia Constant! I love what she's done with the Bleu Noir line and this is no exception. I don't get as much citrus or ice accord to consider this a Summer frag, at least not the hotter days of summer but a warm evening you're good to go. I think the variations between the Bleu Noirs are very subtle, I expected a little further in the freshie direction whilst keeping some of the dna, but that's just me also, are you sure there's no cardamom on this? I think Sonia might've accidentally dropped a bit cause I do get some cardamom

It doesn't get much better for a summer office wear. Made with the easiest to like notes and yet not mundane or generic. The ice accord actually translates into the experience when you wear it...it's not cool like mint, but more like the the crispness of it. The performance is not great, but if you try to make this fragrance too loud by amping up the chemicals, it'll rob the very soul of this Blue Noir version. Masterfully created by Sonia Constant. Its simplicity is it's genius.

too similar to Bleu Noir, I don't get that much of a citrus opening nor that much freshness. It's still sweet and musky to make it a summer frag so it falls under the same category than the other Bleu Noirs in the family just slightly fresher making it redundant. All 3 Bleu Noirs are too similar between them, hope Parfum dares to change a bit more

I feel this is the best in the Bleu noir line. The Edt is not bad but is kinda similar to TdH. This extreme moves in a different direction. It has this cool aromatic orangey cirtusy start which is nice for a change. I need to overspray this for a decent last. I have had the edp and parfum and sold them because they were nothing special

I absolutely love this. Its subtle yet distinct. Its citrussy but the basil note also make it quite herby. Its smooth, clean and professional and I love wearing it at the office. 10/10!

Modern, Vibrant, Full of life and energetic! On the same path with chanel BDC. Still different and has its own vibe. I like it very much it came to me on the right timing.

The ice note is so unique. This was one of my first fragrances, and even though it doesn't have good longevity, the smell is worth the price.

Have the original blue noir which I loved. The added woody cedar and mossy notes make this flanker extreme. Smooth, delectable, seductive.

There is no ice smell,ice or water whatever the form, is inodor,colorless and tasteless!

Fragrances are so subjective, but, to my nose, this doesn't smell like BDC. Its not floral to me like CK One either. I get a citrus and green notes in the opening with that signature Narciso musk (I have the whole line except the Narciso Bleu EDP). I also am getting a mentholated feeling, kind of like the one in Layton, though they don't smell alike. I'm catching a little bit of a cumin-like note in the opening, but it doesn't stick around too long. When the citrus start to soften up and fade, i get that Iso E Super hamster shavings scent, which could also be partially from the cedar. The musk stays most of the rest of the life of the scent as with most Narciso's Men's Scents. Simple fragrance without a ton of notes but i do like it. This is not a monster projector for my skin and longevity is just ok. Pretty versatile to me and could be worn any time of the day or season. I don't see this as a mass appeal scent, so make sure you try before you buy. Got this on fragrancebuy during the Boxing Day Sale a couple months ago for around $50 which seems to be a pretty good deal as its now going for $60-$80 in most places now.

At first I really didn't like this. Something was off about it and I put it away. It just annoyed me with the combination. But freshly showered at night, and I've changed my mind after applying it. As a skin scent , very delectable..the soft fruity wasn't overwhelming. But the musky woody dry down is very relaxing. This is date night scent. I was wondering how masculine it is. I have a few perfumes on my desk, and I would say it's not far some of those, like Armani Si. I don't really mind tbh, I prefer my aftershave to have a feminine side. Performance is really good too. I like how this really radiates. Doesn't need too much of a spritz. If you're reading this, it's probably worth getting a 5ml or 10ml decant if you're looking for something different and bored of Gucci guilty or the dire Chanel Bleu (and oh my that is a terrible scent, maybe it was good once). Reading through the comments, its obvious this is a very discerning choice to wear. I get some cardomom too and probably suits the 27+ crowd eg slightly ambitious, not broke and loves wearing a great suit

In my opinion this is a rather unique fragrance, does not smell like anything else I've smelled before. The fragrance opens with an icy fresh accord with some greens which will definitely take you back. The Mid is what is something that reminds you of its brothers in the line with the musk The dry down, though might sound weird but smells like sugar to me. It's like you took some light woods and added a hell lot of sugar to them The performance is not the best on skin and would barely be appreciable after 3-4 hours. However, somehow it lasts very long on clothes, so much so that I can prominently smell it even after an entire day, which was a little weird for me. Overall, it's a good fragrance if you're looking for something unique but inexpensive at the same time.

Not one of my favorite blues, but damn this is unique. I prefer something more refreshing and aquatic, and this has a whole different twist on the blue idea. It is quite well done and remarkable, nonetheless. The citrus is magnificent, and the blue/dark name pretty much sums it up. I just don't see it as being that wearable all the time because of the distinct niche style that it went for. I also don't see this as being a compliment/lady chaser type of fragrance, but it is a really enjoyable fragrance. The main reason that I would avoid this fragrance is because of the poor longevity.

Smells like a very good performing version of a good fresh deodorant. It is pleasant but nothing that will "wow" anyone. Reminds me of the smell of my dad out of the shower, he used a nivea deodorant and no fragrance. Don't remember which deodorant it was but it reminds me of a nivea deodorant with beastly performance. Also reminds me a bit of Tres Nuit by Armaf (similar to GIT) but with less violet and less screechy, which makes it more pleasant. Also reminds me a bit of Montblanc Legend. For the price it is not worth it since it smells like deodorant.

I bought a sample of this and have been testing it around the house. I like it, but it's not a love. It smells fresh and musky (a little bit too musky) but overall I can see why people like this. Inoffensive and office safe. My only real issue with this is, if I choose to wear it, I'm wearing it for other people to enjoy, because I go noseblind to it very fast. 30 minutes to an hour and I smell barely anything. I know the performance isn't that bad, as my wife can still smell it. So keep that information in mind. 7/10

It's good, but an hour in and it's just musk and well blended woods, if there's citruses in there on the 2 hour mark it is slightly sweet and soapy because of the musk but I can't pick up. It is soft and has 2 hours of strong sillage which is always good for a fresh fragrance, and 6-7 hours of longevity. This fragrance is a toned down Bleu Noir EDT but actually less citrusy for the drydown since there's no vetiver. Also not as woody. 8/10 here but you have to like musk as the main note even for the opening.

This one is good, but not the best in the bleu noir line. It has a sour grapefruit opening with the soft, powdery musk joining right behind with some light woods. Easy grab and go for the gym or casual outings, but also could be worn on a moderate-warm night out. No body odor smelling issues like some others mention. Performance is lacking, but I can get 2-3 hours of some light projection if I overspray. Not too expensive, so might be worth checking out if you enjoy citrusy-fresh-powdery-musky scents.

Bought this by mistake, was supposed to have purchased "for him bleu noir" with the blue stopper. Never the less I shall review. It's certainly a bit of overkill with the citrus not to bad though, the musk isn't to full on either, it's good, it's a mature masculine scent with some class about it which is nice. Good projection with the sillage not to bad price wise either, would have preferred the other one though.

After a nice vacation to the Bahamas, you arrive back home and open your luggage to unpack. The slight musk from clothes worn but not washed, lingering citrus from drinks enjoyed, woody tropical air still clinging to the fabric, and dissipated heat from inside the suitcase all clash with a briefly unfamiliar air-conditioned room. This is that. Grant Anderson from A Nice Girl Like You wears this.

Underrated fragrance. I think this one is actually my favorite of the line which is weird considering this one is the lowest-rated one by a good margin. I like this flanker because it takes away the BO smell from the original bleu noir and makes it more effervescent. Casual-smelling fragrance but at the same time suave and sophisticated. Beautiful spring-summer scent. 9/10

Loved the opening, but drydown is not as good. Still intriguing. Now I need to try the rest of them. Nice uplifting velvety woody musk, slightly soapy. Very clean. Reminds me of something Dior would release. Would be perfect for the office or night time wear. Versitile, but there are better choices for super high heat.

First spray was nice but it quickly turned into a musky fruity aroma that was pretty boring.. The others in the line are more earthy than this one but ther is a slight earthiness to this one too, Not the most exciting scent this year but it was ok, sadly the peformance was pretty weak.

unoriginal yet pleasant. this is cartier declaration essence with some decent performance. and has nothing to do with bleu de chanel/dylan blue etc. zero %. the bottle is the best part. 7/10

This is a joint review of the following four Narciso Rodriguez fragrances: For Him Bleu Noir EdT For Him Bleu Noir EdT Extreme For Him Bleu Noir EdP For Him Bleu Noir Parfum Testing these four was a valuable experiment for me. I determined two things: 1. I don't like strong cardamom scents 2. I don't care for very powdery fragrances. Since three of these four fragrances have these two characteristics in varying degrees, three were rated lower while a fourth was rated better. Now, let's get into the specifics of all four..... For Him Bleu Noir EdT was the most cardamom forward of the four fragrances but also fairly low in the powdery attribute. The strong cardamom, which was evident from the start, really caused me to immediately dislike it. For Him Bleu Noir EdT Extreme did not have cardamom and wasn't powdery. Surprisingly, as a flanker, it went off in a totally different direction. It is a nice freshie. I'd describe the scent as fresh, woody and slightly green. Pleasant to wear but not an outstanding fragrance that would induce me to buy a full bottle. For Him Bleu Noir EdP is an in-between fragrance. The cardamom note, although still quite noticeable, was toned down compared to the EdT but the powdery attribute was dialed up. The scent clearly sits between the EdT and the Parfum. Because of the still strong cardamom, I didn't care for it. For Him Bleu Noir Parfum dials the cardamom down even more than the EdP but significantly dials up the powdery attribute. I did not care for the strong powdery aspect. If I had to choose one, it would be the Extreme which I certainly wouldn't mind wearing. Regarding performance, all four were rather moderate in the projection department after the first hour. Longevity was a mixed bag. The EdT and EdP had very good longevity even though they hung close to the skin. They were still noticeable after 12 hours. The Parfum dropped out after about 8 hours while the Extreme has the worst performance. It was gone in about 6 hours. My recommendations would be as follows. If you're looking for a strong cardamom fragrance, definitely go with the EdT. If you want a very powdery fragrance, go with the Parfum. If you'd like something more in between, go with the EdP. If you want a freshie, there are a lot better options than the Extreme.

This appears to be a fresher take on the original Bleu Noir that IMO misses the mark. It's like they took the original DNA and shoehorned a lemon note and an ice (is that actually ice? There's definitely a "cold" note in there but I'm not sure...) note in with the usual overload of musk to make it "fresh," which, in theory, sounds like a nice idea. But it just...doesn't work. It's like the lemon, musk, and cardamom (yes, it's still there, I don't care what the note pyramid says) are sitting beside one another instead of layered. You can pick out all of the notes separately and it just smells weird, like an unfinished product. This surprised me; I don't particularly like the original Bleu Noir but it smelled of quality. Not the case here. To add: This fragrance is VERY weak. I know, the note pyramid doesn't exactly scream "BEAST MODE!" but even for a warm-weather fragrance, the performance on this is poor. "Extreme" it is not!

@Perfect Shot called it.... It's quite reminiscent of Mont Blanc Legend. To be fair, in a direct side-by-side comparison with Legend EDP, Bleu Noir Extreme is a bit smoother and more refined.... but it's also less punchy. So all in all, it's hard for me to get super excited about this. UPDATE -- This has grown on me as a work / casual fragrance, when you want something that's not overpowering yet still very good. I still find it reminiscent of Legend EDP, but this is nicer... a more refined and sophisticated scent, and overall simply better. Overspray slightly and it gives you a few hours, and nobody will complain about it. Reapply after 3-4 hours, and I find it lasts me most of the day. It's not that expensive anymore either. So in sum, it's a solid work scent... IF you like this scent profile. (Although personally, there's a lot of other stuff I like more.)

I got own the EDP which I love so I bought this thinking it would be a fresher/brisker take on the DNA with more citrus and a interesting “ice” note it has listed. Sadly this smells like a watered down version of the EDP. The opening is fresh and reminds me of it but then it quickly disappears and all you have is a big dose of musk that’s almost chalk like. It doesn’t project that well either and that musk stays for the life of the fragrance without being able to detect any of the citrus or other notes. Disappointing because I love the bottle but if you already own the EDP this is a bit redundant and you’ll find little use since it doesn’t project and have much staying power. 5/10 for me

I’m not sure about this scent.... Skin test twice, summer. Ok, it’s rounded woody plus soft musk... but morphs a little with warm saltiness... it’s a bit too close to the foodie realm for me. This may well be fine on a man. It’s gentle and rounded, woody, musky sorta (I mostly love narciso musks, and have many from the brand). I don’t get any ice, almost as if the notes don’t relay the smells I smell... It could be that this needs testing on its own with no other products, though I don’t feel the longevity is great on me.. Do try it

This has to be my most disappointing fragrance purchase ever. I bought a 100 mL from Sephora for about 75 USD after trying the scent out a couple of times, which I absolutely loved. However, there is something in the opening which I am not a fan of, but the scent definitely dries down to a very enticing musk, which is why I bought this. The worst thing however, is the performance. The projection is dismal and even as a skin scent, it barely lasts 3 hours. I love the fragrance so much but the performance breaks my heart.

Has the EDT 🧬 only for the first 10min, but no nutmeg nor vetiver + wayyy more musk & added powder. Smells exactly like a powdery deodorant spray. Should be named Extreme Musky! I get a hint of nasty Iris within 🤢. Overall this is basic af! Not sophisticated, more casual I just want to throw something on type thing. Too musky for the office, could trigger headaches.

Reviewer below asked; what does ice smell like? Nothing. That is the answer, and that is what you get with this fragrance. For one hour it is a nice unique fragrance, after that you will get 3 hours of a skin sent. Then you get ice (nothing). The citrus mixed with the musk is pretty pleasant, realistic as well. Wish it maintained more of a presence.
