Than...White

A rich, warm, natural mix of patchouli and amber. Later on you smell a bit of iris and a lot of labdanum.Excelent perfume, good components and good longevity without these cheep fixatives they put in all the new perfumes, or at least they do not dominate in this perfume. I, m impressed.

Wow! Holy patchouli! This house is really surprising me in a very good way. If you're a fan of Nasomatto Pardon you must try this. Thumbs up!

This is a very nice unisex patchouli based scent suitable for fall, winter and spring, day and night. There is no oud here and there's nothing animalic to the blend. It's straight up woody/dusty patchouli. Dominant notes are very strong patchouli, strong dusty sandalwood (this is not good for my nose), saffron, mild amber and violet. Than White feels close to Nobile 1942 Patchouli Nobile which I own and love but the dusty note in it, makes it raw, harsh compared to 1942 Patchouli. Performance is very good. Long lasting scent with moderate sillage.

I’m a huge lover of patchouli, and this ‘somewhat’ reminded me of Patchouli Nosy Be, but not completely. I got a huge dose of labdanum first and foremost, lasting throughout the long life of the fragrance. No oud here as Q80 said. (I can tell because I despise that note) Then the patchouli comes through and that and labdanum are really the only notes I smell beside one note I can’t figure out (I don’t think it’s even listed) but I don’t really like. It’s something aromatic that lasts a long time too. If you’re sensitive like me to the new aromachemicals they put in almost everything that burn your nose out, I don’t get any of them here thank God! It’s a well made perfume, just not for me.

Opens for me with a blast of something very pungently aromatic that disappears quickly. It's been 90 minutes, and this has dried down to a powdery, dry, woody, patchouli-vanilla/tonka and not much else. The powder gives this one a very old-school, masculine vibe. The cedar, rosemary, and juniper don't seem to be according this any aromatic freshness that I can detect. If that opening blast was any one or all of those three, they didn't add anything of enduring value to this blend. Overall this is simply a somewhat pleasant dry, powdery, vanilla and patchouli. More masculine on me, and not the kind of masculine I would enjoy smelling on my man. It's a very deep, and somewhat dark fragrance I would say. Very interesting and complex, but not my style at all. Yet as I say that, I must admit that this seems welll-blended, and aside from the dominant powder, which I simply don't appreciate in the masculine-leaning fragrances as much as some others do, everything here seems in balance. Well done, I'd say. Longevity seems very good, but projection and sillage might be lacking. I ordered a discovery set from Naso di Raza, and after sampling this I'm really looking forward to seeing what else they have on offer. Based on this fragrance, I'm hoping they have something equally as complex, daring, and masterfully blended, but a bit more my style.

Castoreum & oud confusion. This is the first time i get confused about wither the note in here is oud or castoreum! it is blended quite well that it whiffs between real oud and castoreum as i do sniff hints of animalic, and to be clear, oud in general is never animalic so there is costereum in here and i am quite sure. The patchouli is more dominant than the amber, & the vanilla and the tonka aren't that big in here, they just softens the harshness of the oud castoreum blend. This is typically an oud, in short a REAL oud and never commercial nor synthetic. Impressive Edit (11th May 2020) After 2+ years. I smell pure clear patchouli with slightly sweet amber, tobacco, and labdanum. I don't know how did castoreum came to mind when i sniffed this one! it's very patchouli and amber. Quite beatiful indeed but not a blend i haven't sniffed before. I can detect quality in this. Beautiful for those who loves patchouli.
