EN. "Blamage" - is a new and, unfortunately, the latest perfume from the collection of 10 perfumes Nasomatto. ("The Nose" and the creator of which: scandalously famous perfumer Alessandro Gualtieri). With the purchase of "Blamage" - forget all that is called "the niche fragrance." I will not try to guess the ingredients of this fragrance, because the perfumer himself said (honestly stating this on the box), that the creation of this fragrance - is nothing more than an error, nonsense and was originally made to "take around ". After all, in German "Blamage" means "a complete failure, shame." As you know, Alessandro Gualtieri prefers not to reveal the secrets of the olfactory pyramid of its perfumes, allowing us to become a perfumer and to try to find them by ourself. It is so boring sometimes to see all these twins from niche perfumery, created by "rules of art", then, to create Blamage the perfumer has traveled halfway around the world, trying to forget the professionalism, to start from the very begining, from the "blank sheet", to create a final monument to his offspring - the line "Nasomatto." "Blamage" is conceived as the antithesis, as an absurdity, but for him this also consisted the principal difficulty: to set his mind to invent a mixture of ingredients, and then get their perfect harmony. Then, I would say that the works of Alessandro Gualtieri could also be purchased without trying, - they are guaranteed masterpieces. This is yet another Nasomatto, that demanded it be a part of my small collection. The screechy, camphoric / metallic top, hits first and may make one recoil, but it is really very nice, as it slowly blends in and starts to make sense. It’s sharpness, feels like a very light incense is also present, only noticeable to me, by the way it almost dries out the nostrils. It makes me want to clear them with a strong outward breath. These sharp features remain, although they mellow, while mixing with a milky, sort of fruity note, that I can best describe as melon-like. As pleasant as this fragrance is, I personally don’t see it as being an everyday fragrance. It’s special. It sets you apart, in an icy elegance, like looking at an otherworldly, white flower, behind a glass container; gorgeous and untouchable. An icy cold fragrance, also for the cold. My eyebrows raised and my imagination went. It’s different from anything I’ve ever set my nose to experience. The magic of the fragrance, seems to lie in the inference that there is a fusing of things that should not be able to be fused.. for instance, metal and wood. “The liquid of the fruit back on the platter, fragrant, opaque, white..” An intriguing someone, in a great room, seen from the length of a great hall, dimly lit, with stone walls, adorned with white sculptures, set in a mini castle, cottage, type edifice, with a courtyard of a sea of birch trees and some abstractly cut boxwoods. These beings, inter dimensional? Angelic? Futuristic? In the great room, brightly lit, there is a white fruit from a unique tree in the court yard, that looks like it is made of both metal and wood, sitting on a silver platter, on a white marble table, on white marble floors. It resembles an eggplant in shape and it’s leaves look like pewter. The being stands with others, quietly speaking.. very tall and thin, yet strong in appearance, all with white hair. Walking on air, to the courtyard this one goes. A sleek, silver hovering vehicle there, but they walk left and flash into this time line. The liquid of the fruit, back on the platter, fragrant, opaque, white.. This main individual smells of this fruit. It emanates from the pores, giving the skin an iridescence and translucence, after eating. Modern folks witness this gorgeous person. They smell something amazing and foreign. The experience as a whole, is so beyond, that their minds can not comprehend and they instead, make the choice to ignore. Something writes itself on their hearts and after some days, draws them in, like a special forgotten moment. This.. is Blamage.

I love the entire Nasomatto line. Yes, these gorgeous scents do contain quite a bit of synthetic ingredients, but I don’t mind synthetics when artfully done. Each fragrance from this collection is unique, yet they share a similar olfactory aesthetics that is incredibly pleasing to my trusty old sniffer. Blamage opens assertively, with a combination of smoky woods and leather, but it quickly settles into a most amazing scent of the birch tree, offset by some clandestine floral notes. It’s so beautiful that I cannot stop sniffing my wrists! Its projection is outstanding, and it stays on the skin even after I have taken a shower. It is not so overwhelmingly strong as Black Afgano, but still a very good investment, since a little goes a long way. I tested Blamage against two other Nasomatto frags - China White and Narcotic Venus - in order to compare their development and longevity. Blamage and China White are somewhat similar in that both scents are dominated by woodsy notes. Although China White is aimed at women, it is actually more unisex than Blamage, because CW remains green-woodsy and somewhat fizzy throughout, while Blamage turns more white floral-woodsy-musky and feminine. Their longevity is approximately the same (over 8 hours), but CW is consistently stronger (which may or may not be a good thing). On the other hand, Blamage is definitely stronger and more durable than Narcotic Venus. At some point, about half an hour after spraying, they are somewhat similar, but then Narcotic Venus departs towards tuberose and eventually turns into a sweetish tuberose soliflore. All in all, Blamage is a wonderful scent that goes straight to the top of my small fragrance shopping list. Kudos to the perfumer Alessandro Gualtieri, one of the great noses of our time. Oh, and that ‘birch tree’ bottle is a work of art.

Just got this & am wearing for the first time today. Let me preface this by noting that this is my 5th Nasamatto, & Black Afgano was the perfume that truly expanded my concept of fragrance & sent me down the rabbit hole ~13 years ago as a mid 20 something. Anyway, the first thing I got when smelling this off my wrist was sunscreen. Now, I must admit that sandalwood is a note that I have unfortunately little experience with, or perhaps I should say understanding of, even after all these years collecting, but I do remember reading somewhere that this fragrance was inspired in part by Mr. Gualtieri embarking on a deep exploration of sandalwood... So the sunscreen makes perfect sense. I didn't get the peach/apricot at all until I sprayed on fabric, the sleeve of my sweater, but when I did it was there immediately. Now at around ~3 hours it's transitioning more to the musky dry woods that those familiar with Black Afgano & Duro will recognize, & that I personally love & that people around me often seem to go crazy for. I like this this a lot 😈 Edit: 19+ hours later after original application, I am still huffing my wrists compulsively. What I get now at this point is a still unexpectedly strongly radiating aroma of warm woods of a creamy sandalwood variety, & a sensual equally creamy suede. In the middle of the journey there was definitely some soft vanilla as well, but the only time I got the fruit notes was when sprayed on fabric. This is a love. Very unique compared to much of the rest of the Nasamatto portfolio, though I would be remiss not to mention that China White is quite a stand out as well.

On my skin, blamage does not necessarily smell how I imagined it would. Instead of rugged leather and strong woods I get a soft fuzzy peach smell with (some) birch and leather in the background. I know peach isn’t listed in the notes but I’m convinced it’s in here. It is a very smooth fragrance and I’ve heard some people say birch seems screechy to them but I don’t get it with this one. If i had to describe this fragrance i would say to imagine eating a ripe juicy peach in a snowy birch forest. When I wear blamage on warmer days the peach absolutely shines, it becomes even more prominent and smells absolutely amazing. In the colder weather the woods and leather show themselves more, but no matter what the peach is always the dominant note for me. I get great performance too, 10 or so hours on skin with a great scent bubble. I don’t think I would like this fragrance if it was a “beast mode room filler.” Its performance is reminiscent to the smell, soft and calm. I love this fragrance and it is my first full bottle from nassomatto, and I think I’ll be coming back to the brand for other fragrances eventually.

An afternoon walk in the forest during spring, rainfall has just stopped and you feel alive smelling all the moisture evaporating and bringing up all sorts of smells with it, a sense of serenity and natural purity envelop you, sunset light hits the trees and bushes, you are fulfilled. This is how Blamage makes me feel. It's an inoffensive, but definitely niche white leather-like fragrance with slightly animalic musk undertone. It smells different to me depending on the temperature. In warmer weather, the fragrance feels more feminine and peachy, fruity and powdery. Whereas, in cooler weather, it smells more musky, woodsy, more leathery and a bit more animalic. But still, regardless of weather, it always stays close to the skin once it settles; but remains potent and long-lasting. Its a very delicate natural scent, also very wearable throughout the year. For some men, this might smell a bit too feminine, however, I see it as a well-balanced unisex fragrance. I think its a perfect choice for spring and autumn.

WOW. The first time I got my nose on it in store, I didn't very much enjoy it. A dark peach with suede/animalic leather is what I picked up in the opening. Almost smelling like a toilet cleaner, I washed it off my hand to try other perfumes. 2 weeks later I used the sample I had to go to school, and oh my. I enjoyed the opening a lot more all of a sudden. It was also so strong. I was biking to school and I could just smell this dry birch and suede pulsing off my skin. When taking off my jacket a whole scent cloud got released and my friends got to smell it, they liked it a lot. But some were calling it a bit weird. For the rest of the day, it stayed a musky, smoky, dry birch with some leathery undertone, very nice and calm smelling almost a bit "fresh". I can still smell it on the sweater I had on that day. Very tempted to buy it but sometimes the smell was to much for me. Overall its a 8/10 for me, very creative and unique. And I love the bottle 3rd favorite nasomatto so far.

Wow, this is really splendid. The opening begins with a bright burst of peach, I can only smell it sometimes but my brother can unfortunately not smell it. The bright almost dry peach is accompanied at least for the first few minutes by a blinding burst of white woodx, that for an instant smells a tiny bit sterile or like bug spray (in the best way possible). After those first few minutes, this fragrance turns into a woody masterpiece with birch and fluffy white musk in the foreground. These musks are backed up by a beautiful buttery smooth leathery dry down. Performance is incredible, it lasts an eternity on the skin and seemingly forever on clothes. Fairly seasonal, perfect fall scent, and I've heard that in the winter it smells different even, so I'll update then. Fairly unisex, leaning a tiny bit masculine with a very 'outdoors vibe' to it. Love

The most interesting offering from the Nasomatto line in my opinion is this post modernist woody musk playfully named as a blunder. It is really anything but. The perfume is a demonstration of how one can use mostly synthetic materials to create something really interesting and beautiful. The perfume opens with a whiff of white florals and aldehydes before moving to a heart where one can detect notes of birch and white woods. It settles into a powdery leathery musky base pretty soon. The perfumer does not reveal the notes and says even he chose them through a blinding process. The unisex perfume is unisex with moderate to strong sillage and very good longevity. Give it some time and a few wears. It really grows on you. A beautiful head scratcher of a perfume only for the adventurous. Enjoy!

Great masterpiece by master Alessandro Gualtieri from 2014. Blamage is a senseless and unfortunate creation caused by an erroneous judgement. This fragrance captures unfulfilled expectations, failure and the acceptance of failure. Blamage wants to reveal how much every mistake is permeated with grace, how important it is to become aware of it and above all to have the concern to give in to it. Blamage is a leather and woody triumph of the highest caliber, with an extraordinary temporal olfactory evolution. We are who we are, and we certainly aren't perfect but that's what makes us unique. Blamage is a research aimed at recognizing one's instincts, one's values, one's decisions and actions. The process of eliminating the craving for perfection and accepting one's own imperfection.

Love it. I wore a full bottle of CDG 2 (in continental climate) before trying this one, no surprise I love this creature too. Without looking on the notes, wouldn't think of a birch note here (ig it's very subtle compared to Terroni, which is a Birch note reference for me). Somehow I smell flowers in this, maybe irises from my grandma's garden (my opinion is completely subjective, as I rely solely on my own empirical experience and have never smelled pure perfume essences). Maybe it's just how I perceive musks. Moving from continental climate to subtropics I would say this fragrance would best suit cold temperatures. Leather note in a hot and humid summer made it impossible to wear leathery warm scents, works best when air is crisp and fresh.

I bet it has Iso E Super and Ambrette or Ambroxan in it. Smells like freshly buit log house or imagine a joiner who is working with a whitewood just right next to you and there is that smell of sawdust all around. Clean, chirsp and sharp but dusty, sweet and mellow at the same time. So distinctive. Somehow the scent is able to lift my mood to the sky, very sunny and sparkly smell. Yes, it's intensive and quite synthetic as many of the users said but that doesn't bother. Kind of reminds me JUSBOX Cheeky Smille and JHAG Sunny Side Up. If Buratino had to choose it's own signature scent it must be Blamage. Love the scent from the bottom of my heart. Olfactive miracle for sure, worth trying at least. Longevity is incredible.

This i my favorite fragrance in my whole collection. When i started to get into niche i smelled this nasomatto fragrance and I was hooked immediately. I hadn't seen the accords and i can definetly say it is not as offensive, harsh or putrid as many people say and the accords show. The animalic accords are very subtle and clean. It's a beautiful smokey, sweet and very, very woody fagrance. Its amazing and i really reccomend the documentary made about this fragrance. Its called "The nose- Searching for blamage". I could smell it for 10+ hours and 2 sprays is enough to fill up the room. I love this fragrance and it's perfect for fall and early winter. Would reccomend.

Before purchasing it, i was really drawn to this fragrance; the bottle, the name and the story behind it. I didnt sample it but went to the store and tried it, its not something i would lean towards, but i wanted something like this. The opening is very sharp and strong, but then it settles down to such and angelic smell i love. I wouldnt know how to describe it because its very unique and might really not be for everyone. It doesent last that long on me but thats totally fine, i never feel like dropping a bag on skin scents (this one turns into one eventually) but i actually really like the dry down. Would recommend this but definetely do not blind buy.

So so happy to have found this perfume. Its my 3rd Nasomatto and I think its my favorite. It is very woody ( birch) smell like the white cap, but it also is very musky and light. I don't know how to describe it but its light and deep at the same time. The scent is airy but it has this deep layered personality. For a scent this woody its not straight up birch. Its very elegant and smooth which is why I think this is perfectly unisex but I understand why ppl see it more leaning masculine. Anyway, if you love woody perfumes especially unisex ones, seriously go for at least a sample. Im so scared it may be discontinued or reformulated ahah

Opening is a very medicinal, slightly smokey leather with birch trees in background. Around a hour later i get a sweetness from maybe a white peach that is not listed that replaces the leather making it a sweet woods. Then around another hour later i start to get a floral which i think is the musk note which ties everything together. Projection is pretty good, and longevity is around 6 hours. If i were to describe this fragrance in one word; it would be white. Everything from the birch, florals, musk, and sweetness give a vibe of white. 9/10 Definitely sample the leather is a hit or a miss...

Describing Blamage is absolutely not easy ... at the beginning the combination of ingredients makes me perceive as the sensation of removing from the paper that wraps it a big bouquet of flowers, slightly withered, all this causes me a lot of melancholy, perhaps the feeling that regret gives that he made a mistake (precisely Blamage). The woods then open up and make my feeling positive, which is now one of absolute tranquility and peace. It's really a beautiful perfume, unfortunately it doesn't last long on me, but I find it very introspective.

Wow, what a stunner! This is my second Nasomatto that blew me away and now I'm tempted to blind buy everything from the house, I love it so much. All of the notes I pick up - woods, leather, spices, musk and I could swear, something floral (someone said tuberose and I agree) - all smell rich and gorgeous. I suppose some would say this leans slightly masculine but I think it's right down the middle. It's such a mysterious and enticing scent. It makes me think of a witch's cabin deep in the woods. The scent of spell-casting!

I loved it at first. When you first blow it, it envelopes you with an intense woody and spicy, definitely masculine fragrance cloud. After that, a woody and leathery musky note that feels a bit nutty to me remains during wear. I definitely think it's masculine, but I wonder how it would develop on a woman's skin. It lasts a long time, but after the first 1-2 hours, its projection becomes more restrained, and I don't think that's a problem. I think it's a good choice for cool days from fall to spring.

This is not what I expected. This is my second blind buy from this house (this, black afgano) and I’m happy to say I’m 2/2. I expected to be beaten down by leather; something akin to ombré leather with a woodier character. Instead, the delicate layers of birch and musk bring about a sweetness akin to rose or tuberose as others have mentioned here. All bundled up in leather. This is a leather pouch filled with incense, it’s a spectacle. It’s a beautiful, warm second skin.

Dry white woods with something sweet, and a little tobacco or incense is what I smell. It’s an extract and behaves as such: from the opening to the long ending, this never overpowers or causes nasal fatigue (I’m looking at you Black Afgano). Unusual in its execution; I smell synthetics but execution is superb. One thing is for certain, that bottle is a work of art. Spending $185 retail for 30 ml is steep, but worth it when you realize you’re also buying a piece of art.

Beautiful unique fragrance, but I don’t get the notes listed. Being that Gualtieri(perfumer) never reveals the notes in any of his perfumes, the notes listed in Fragrantica are someone’s guess. And they most likely guessed wrong or what THEY think they’re smelling . So I suggest u sample it for yourself and see if u also love it as much as I do, and don’t worry about what notes are in it. Just enjoy the fragrance in all it’s beautiful mystery.....

Truly a masterpiece for me. Smells so weird and pleasant simultaneously, starts with birch juice which transforms into wet birch sticks with smooth musks and fizzy suede. I walked through snowy forest listening to mellow rock when wearing this aroma and I felt such a captivating and mysterious atmosphere around me... It's not for casual mood for sure, but it's so beautiful in its uniqueness. I strongly recommend checking this fragrance out

My first Nasomatto. Interesting scent. Got compliments on it within first five minutes of wearing it. Strongly reminds me of molinard Vanille patchouli. Just less aggressive than that. Since I own the bottle - I like it. But I can see why many people can’t react differently to it. I t does smell a little like weed at times , at others - some soap. Definitely unique. But if you wanna save your money , try molinard and wait for the dry down.

i really like this! smooth and mature, feels very unisex to me. the listed notes are accurate and well-executed, with pleasant and heady flowers on drying. bright, realistic birch is dominant, easily one of the best wood notes i can think of. i also get something sweet on the back close to vanilla or tonka bean in addition to a slight fruitiness, both blend perfectly with the other notes. not a safe blind buy but absolutely worth a try.

After trying a sample of this,i had to buy a full bottle...This is unisex to me and insanely sexy... If i had a girl that wore this i would go crazy...Smells very musky,warm and cuddly...Also kinda airy,kinda synthetic,kinda sterile clean..Weird but perfect when you want to smell clean and inviting...Lasts around 5 hours and longer on clothes...Pretty easy to go noseblind so 2-3 sprays is all you need... Bottle is a work of art as usual

Wow! I smelled it briefly and usually (as a perfumer) I can decipher a frag in a couple moments. Although, all I can say about this is that it’s woody. It’s not just sandalwood, not just dry wood and not just raw materials. It’s a beautiful assimilation of all the kinds of wood raw materials ( including naturals and synthetics). From gouaiac wood to isoesuper and javanol, everything is in here! Creating a almost perfect blend.

I'm loving this interesting smoky floral/woody creation. The floral notes are rich and intoxicating on the opening but that eases a little and then the wood and leather get to surface. I love this curious smoky creation. Flowers thrown into a fire pit. Very unisex and intense. A scent for cool conditions or the night.The birch smokiness and leather seem to go on and on. It smells very modern and a touch avant-guarde.

Fun, synthetic in a good way. Don't get much smelling my skin but there's thsee wafts of oud/berry soda that come up when I'm walking around. In hair the musk is much more prominent. Tiniest bit of rubber or leather in the top. Lots of power, like a montale in notes but more dynamic and interesting. Looks like this can be pretty irritating to sensitive noses, and radiates farther than it seems so be careful.

I like this fragrance! Not too known and I think is pretty underrated, the scent smells sort of like a lemony scent in the opening which is probably the birch but dries down to a nice and clean woody scent, blind buy worthy with a nice and calming and somewhat interesting fresh scent and feeling, a nice and pleasant scent. Scent-9/10 Longevity-8/10 Projection-7.5/10 Silage-7/10 Price-6/10 Overall-8/10

Starts out sharp, a bit like fresh paint but also the sharp freshness of birch wood tar. Heavy on the birch tar, but there’s also something sweet and fruity there to balance it out. Leathery, smokey, clean, and warm, fruity, sterile - a lot of opposites wrapped together. Really strong projection, one spray goes a long way. Not an every day scent for me, but amazing when I want to feel confident.

something happened with this scent too. I bought one of the very first bottles in 2014 when it came out, it was so strong that two sprays filled a room, wherever I went, I swam in this scent, and i couldn't even wash it off. then I bought it again yesterday and it smells like a mild detergent, and fades away in a couple of hours. I don't understand why they have to do this to everything.

while many say nasomatto blamage is peachy, i think it’s more like apricot. peach is sweeter and has a slight sour tang, while apricot is smoother and less sweet. the woods have a soft vanilla-like touch, though it might be suede. i usually don’t like “smoky, leathery, masculine” scents, but this is smooth and sweet with balanced woods. 10/10, my new favorite from nasomatto.

Such a great scent. Projects like a beast but is not cloying to anyone I have spoke to about this. This is almost a nostalgic scent for me as it reminds me of walking in the woods with my mother. The woods in this fragrance are just so authentic and beautiful creating this feeling of you standing next to a mossy ass birch tree. Lasts forever and is just so nice.

Blamage will be my next buy. This fragrance is fantastic, the opening is very woody, leathery. It gives wet forest afternoon vibes. The dry down was not what i expected but for the better. As many other says it gets frutiy and i totally agree. The mix between the frutiyness, woodiness and the wet moss is amazing. 9/10 on my skin, really like this one

This is such a unique and special scent! I blind bought it and not disappointed at all. Smells like a white forest covered in a thin layer of snow, I also get a tiny bit of peach and a manly accord that I can’t put my finger on (maybe the leather?) overall I think this will work for all seasons except super hot summer days.

One of the most unique scents I own, it's classy. It has become my Sunday scent and it can't be beat wether its for church or just going for a drive around town in my porsche. it just gets the job done. I am starting to take a break from it now that summer is here but boy I can't wait for colder weather again. 10/10

For me this scent was a like love at first sight. While some it’s pretty basic and generic, I disagree. I love the combination of wood with a side of a lovely citrus that can be distinguished on my skin. Even though I don’t use it everyday, it’s my favourite fragrance that gets me loads of compliments.

To me it's a very cosy smell. Something comforting that I'd wear curled up under a fluffy beige-gray blanket. I think there's a hint of bergamot, but as an amateur I don't dare to say. Whipped up clean comfort, perfectly unisex. For me this was a safe blind buy that I'm loving more every day.

A tad screechy but certainly smells like I'm going on a walk in the forest. Need to spray less next time and hopefully that solves the problem. Aside from that, incredible projection and a beautiful scent, I really enjoyed it and might consider getting a bottle in future.

I really enjoy this fragrance, in the opening it's a very smoky slightly painty scent with a lot of birch, when it dries down it turns to more of a sweet fruity, Vanilla still woody fragrance. Mid longevity, mid projection but worth it for the bottle and smell 9/10

My first buy from Nasomatto, also blind buy. It was love from the first sniff. Woody, musky, fresh, birchy. Can smell it on my skin and clothes the next day. My friend said that once she was in birch sauna in Finland and this perfume smells exactly like this.

An interesting blend. Think orange sherbet sprinkled on suede, with stonefruit and white wood in the heart. Possibly my favourite Nasomatto because of how different it is, and the fact that it transitions whereas most Gualtieri fragrances are pretty static.

Not my favourite from the house nonetheless it’s still a solid fragrance Musky mostly with little leather It might be challenging for some but to my nose it was really nice Not as atomic as the other fragrances from the line but it is long lasting

Sparkling musk, birch and smoke, some peach and suede. People are really torn on what the notes are, and they are kinda misleading. I really don’t know at this point. This is not blind buy safe. I find it inoffensive but some people hate it🫠🫠

Blamage by Nasomatto – 10/10 My favorite woody perfume of all time. It’s a sweet, musky kind of wood that smells super complex, even though it only lists four notes. Like most Nasomatto scents, the performance and projection are amazing.

Mainly woody, some leather and animalic notes but mainly woody. I would probably say it's all year round but probably does better in autumn. Smell: 9.6/10 Longevity: 9/10 Projection: 9.5/10 Value For Money: 8/10 Overall: 9.7/10

I don't know how Nasomatto did it, but this fragrance is spectacular. I smell the leather and birch plus I get this intoxicating musk. Its unisex, fully. I wouldn't be able to wer this one anywhere but I love to sniff it.

Birch wrapped in a dense, slightly sweet haze. It works beautifully in small, warm indoor spaces; outdoors in winter it turns rather faint. In a compact, heated room, however, the sillage easily fills the entire space.
