Hindu Grass

عطر هندوگراس از برند ناسوماتو از نعنا هندی و علف در کنار تنباکو تشکیل شده. کل ساختار عطر همین مواد قید شده هست. کلا هنر الساندرو گوالتری؛ خلق رایحه ای بخصوص با حداقل مواد هست. سبک کارهای ایشون از دیدگاه من؛ سادگی و خلاقیت در کنار رو راست بودن با مصرف کننده هست. به این معنی که در اکثر محصولات گوالتری از حداقل مواد ممکن استفاده کرده اند و سادگی خاصی در شیشه ها و بسته بندی عطرهای این برند وجود داره و نیز اینکه خیلی رو راست با مردم عطرش رو نام گذاری میکنه و از گذاشتن اسمهای غیرمعقولانه ای که بعضی از برندها روی عطرشان میزارند؛ پرهیز میکنه و در واقع به نظر من این روان نام گذاری کردن عطرها یک احترام به شخصیت مصرف کننده هست. نمونه ای از این مورد رو در همین عطر میتونیم ببینیم اسم این عطر به فارسی؛ "علف هندی" هست. خوب؛ با کمی دقت به اسم عطر و بدون نیاز به داشتن اینترنت و خواندن عناصر سازنده ی عطر میتوان حدس زد که این عطر از یک نوع علف به همراه نعنا هندی (پاچولی) تشکیل شده. پس با توجه کردن به این نکات ساده میشه تا درصد بالایی از دقت؛ عناصر اصلی عطر رو شناسایی کرد و در صورت دوست داشتن این عناصر در عطر؛ حدس زد که این عطر میتونه برای من نوعی مناسب باشه یا نه. (نمونه های دیگر این صداقت با مصرف کننده در نام گذاری عطرهای این برند رو میشه در عطر ابسینت؛ دورو؛ و نیز بلک افغانو پیدا کرد) ا در هر حال؛ عطر هندوگراس؛ عطری است سبزکه در بستری از تنباکو قرار داره. به این معنا که شما با استشمام کلی عطر اولین برداشتی که میکنید؛ بویی سبز مانند به همراه پاچولی هست. البته اگه باز با دقت بیشتری عطر رو ببویید؛ این بار متوجه میشید که بستر این عطر تنباکو هست. در واقع زیرساخت این عطر تنباکو هست. این مسئله رو با یه مثال ساده بیشتر توضیح میدم: در یک کامپیوتر موقعی که روشنه؛ چندین برنامه در یک زمان باهم کار میکنند و شما میتونید با هر کدام از این برنامه ها تعامل داشته باشید و وجود اون برنامه ی بخصوص رو کاملا درک میکنید. ولی به احتمال خیلی زیاد متوجه اون برنامه ی اصلی که سایر برنامه های کاربردی از به اصطلاح صدقه سری این برنامه دارن به حیاتشون ادامه میدن؛ نیستید ودر واقع همون برنامه ی ویندوز و کرنل مربوطه هست که زیرساخت سایر برنامه های کاربردی هستند در اینجا هم تقریبا همینطوره. هندوگراس از برند ناسوماتو؛ به ظاهر عطری است سبز و با نت غالب پاچولی. ولی تنباکوی کاملا خشک در بستر این عطر حکمفرمایی میکنه و کل سنگینی عطر روی دوش این نت تنباکویی قرار داره و با وجود اینکه تنباکو در این عطر وجود داره؛ اصلا عطری برای فصول سرد سال نیست. چون نت غالب نیست و ساختاری زیربنایی داره نکته ای که در اینجا باید قید کنم اینه که گیاه پاچولی به طور طبیعی؛ یک تیزی بخصوصی داره که شاید این رایحه رو برای خیلی از افراد نامطلوب میکنه. در اینجا آقای گوالتری با شناخت کامل از این نکته؛ اون بوی تیزی رو که در پاچولی داره رو گرفته ولی به ساختار بویایی پاچولی آسیبی نرسونده که بنظر من این یک شاهکاره که در واقع زیبایی رایحه ی نعنا هندی رو بدون داشتن اون تیزی تونسته کامل حفظ کنه و عطری این چنین خوش رایحه ساخته. واقعا باید به ایشون گفت: دست مریزاد!! ا Hindugrass fragrance from Nasumato brand consists of patchouli and grass along with tobacco. His work style from my point of view; Simplicity and creativity are next to being honest with the consumer. This means that in most Gwaltery products, they have used the minimum possible ingredients, and there is a certain simplicity in the bottles and packaging of this brand's perfumes, as well as the fact that it names its perfumes very honestly with people, and avoids giving unreasonable names that some They put on their perfume from brands; It avoids and in fact, in my opinion, naming perfumes is a respect for the personality of the consumer. Because the note is not dominant and has an underlying structure The point I have to mention here is that the patchouli plant naturally; It has a particular sharpness that may make this scent undesirable for many people. Here, Mr. Gwaltari, fully aware of this point; It has taken the pungent smell of patchouli, but it has not harmed the olfactory structure of patchouli, which, in my opinion, is a masterpiece

I have several patchouli dominant frags, like "Classic Patchouli", etc. Hindu Grass is one of my top 2 Patchoulis; this is #1 for Spring and Summer; Loree Rodkin Gothic I, is # 1 patch for cooler weather. This is a very bright, wet and green patchouli. It is still somewhat smooth and refined. The extrait perfume concentration, makes it very intense, which I like. HG is very intense, earthy, medicinal patchouli, that is also very clean and refined. OK guys I have some big news about Hindu Grass, it has loads and loads of "ROSE" here!!! Well maybe not that much. But I have read almost all the reviews here, and few have affirmed, they only think there may be a rose note. It is like Tom Ford Noir de Noir, but greener, and brighter. But I think why I like this so much is there is a bit of a chocolaty rose here, makes it very smooth and refined. I have reviewed over 400 frags, and I nose a rose note when I smell one :) The chocolate, rose, and tobacco keep it from being too shrill in it's greeness. It is a well blended, rich green fragrance. There is a medicinal, camphorous patchouli here, some bright synthetic aroma chemicals, and some green notes. It reminds me of the camphorous greeness of Comme des Garsons Monocle fragrances. The rose balances and smooths out the sharpness. I have not picked out the tobacco note yet. I think it's just a slight nuance. A green leafy tobacco note as found in Taberone perhaps. Yes, this fragrance evolves and is not linier like Black Afgano. It is reminding me of Creed's Taberone, which is a ginger and green tobacco fragrance. I almost pick out a bit of something ginger like here in Hindu Grass. From the mid-drydown I'm getting something a little darker, that's grounding this frag some. Maybe it's the tobacco note. Some have picked up a bit of chocolate note here. Patchouli has a chocolaty facet at times, it's a nice facet of the Patchouli in Hindu Grass. I did blind buy a bottle of this. I got a good deal, so I'm satisfied. I have 5 other patchouli dominant fragrances this is bottle worthy at my #4 spot for Patchouli frags. It's better than a lot of them. My 2 favorite Patchoulis are, #1: "Gothic I" by Loree Rodkin, It's a beautiful patch, with a buttery Madagascar vanilla, and spices. #2 is Patch Flash by Andy Taur, it's a boozy whiskey, with leather, and patchouli alcohol. Patch Flash is very close to Hindu Grass! Diptyque "Tempo" is very good at #3. This is also very much like Andy Tauer's Taurerville "Vanilla Flash". It has rose, patchouli, tobacco, and vanilla: very similar at $60/30ml; but the rose is stronger which I don't care for. Some have been knocking the performance of Hindu Grass, I think the longevity is very good. Update: This is growing on me, I think it is my #2 patchouli dominant fragrance after Gothic I, now. Love the touch of green tobacco leaf in Hindu Grass. Rating: 9.5/10 God bless. John 3:16

Hindu grass is one of the most talked about and thoroughly discussed fragrances out there. It perplexes me because although it is well done, I don't think it warrants such a Grand discussion as it does. I'm not saying it's not a great fragrance. It is very good for what it is. However, it is in linear territory for me, which unfortunately does not prompt vivid inspiration. If I am looking for a straightforward hippie patchouli, this is it! But I don't go anywhere Beyond that. Am I supposed to? I'm not quite sure at this point. There is a cult quality to this fragrance. Is that because it is discontinued and therefore hard to find? There are so many others that are also discontinued that are very good. So why does this separate itself? Or why do we separate it from the rest? Don't get me wrong. The quality is outstanding. If you are craving a very green patchouli, this is a home run. Perhaps if I was more of A patchouli aficionado I would feel differently. But I like it enough! I suppose I will cut to the chase. This is beautiful. Absolutely. And if you are a huge patch person definitely seek this out. Did it blow my mind? No it did not. It's very straightforward and it did not take me on a journey. For that reason alone I would not consider it a holy Grail. Everything from this brand is excellent. Including this one. It's very realistic and very intense. Do you have to have it in your collection? I would say no unless you are a patch hoe. Then yes. Obviously I am aware that I will be back in a couple of weeks to tell you how extraordinary this fragrance really is and that you have to have it. Lol. It always happens like that. For now, I would hold onto my $500 and purchase a small sample if you can. There is currently for sale on mercari a brand new bottle. Just so you know! This is as honest as I can be in the moment. I have it on right now. Again it is a very high-quality straightforward patch. If that sounds sexy to you go ahead and get it. The quality is there.

Hindu Grass was a big love at first sniff for me, it was like a breath of fresh air ! I sprayed it on the back of my hand, & knew within half an hour that it would be going home with me that day. This is a great green rosey patchouli scent. I love it when patchouli has that slightly bitter chocolate nuance, & I get that here. Over all it just smells pure, clean & unadulterated...as if to just let the few notes that are there to speak clearly for themselves - no fuss, no messing around with "a bit o this, & a bit o that" chucked in to muddy the waters ! HG has real "clarity", I think that's the best way I can describe it. I could happily bathe in this stuff - & a small part of me would also quite like to drink it too (which is worrying!) For the price, I was expecting monster silage & longevity, but this is a quiet perfume & it wears quite close to the skin with just below average longevity, imo. I do wish it wasn't so expensive because it's not really within my normal perfume budget. Still, at least it comes in small bottles - for which I'm quite grateful! I break my price rules for this one, & (to me) it's worth it :) Beautiful fragrance. Edit: To add, recommended if you want a patchouli that isn't paired with vanilla, fruit, &/or sweet heavy amber/oriental notes.

A gentle, grassy blend...that is what the package says on Blue Pearl's Majmua incense. I used to wear this oil in college while all the 'hippy' types around me were dousing themselves in patchouli. This scent is the closest I have found to the heavenly oil I used to wear, unfortunately the perfumed oil is no longer available, but the joss sticks are... Hindu Grass is the opposite of most patchouli type scents in that it is green & aromatic with a dry floral aura and sweet rich tobacco with a well balanced patchouli note that lingers in the drydown but is not all you smell. It is a perfume extract, so it is even more concentrated than pure parfum, a little dab'll do ya! Never dirty or heavy, this reminds me of pure incense powder and flowers offered on an altar, set in an outdoor temple with grasses and woods all about. It has an earthy green feel along with an airy incense aroma and sublte woody-spicy nuances. A sublime marriage of Earth and Sky...well worth the hefty price. Who can put a price on pure beauty or a dollar sign on memories?? Meditative and self-reflective earthy patch with sweet tobacco depth within...Linear, peaceful, charismatic, unforgettable. There is a certain type of fragrances that better be described by a quote. Hindu Grass is one of them. Remember, when in movie "I Am Legend" Will Smith exclaims in shock :" Whaaaat?! Never heard of Bob Marley?!!" Then he tells the story: He (Bob Marley) had this idea, it was kind of a virologist idea, he believed he could cure racism and hate, literally cure it by injecting music and love into people’s lives. One day he was scheduled to perform at a peace concert, gunmen came to his house and shot him down. Two days later he walked out on the stage and sang. Somebody asked him why. He said the people who were trying to make this world worse are not taking a day off. How can I? Light up the darkness. I think Hindu Grass would greatly suit to people with Marley's spirit.

I have been searching for the perfect patchouli frag for long and Hindu Grass is the only one that can calm my nerves and wash away my negative energy. I think the name is perfect for what it exudes, HINDU GRASS. One of Hindu's biggest festivals is Nyepi (in Bali), which means "Day of Silence." There are many fragrances that make you feel pretty, sexy; but not many can "heal". This is one of the fews that can make you feel whole and positive. It heals and tames my inner emotions. The projection is good, not too loud but enough to make me feel "content". It "heals" for 6-10 hours on my skin. This is one of my all time top 10 frags, along with Luxe Patchouli by Comme des Garcons, which is darker and more mysterious.One is a "Luxe", and another one is a "Hindu." They are the Sun and the Moon. -Mr. Almond-

its a very divisive fragrance. I personally love it but i know that the opening can be considered harsh by some. i would say the opening is not a 'synthetic' style harsh that you might get with some cleaning agents. It opens with a pine-sol or pine-tar kind of note that softens after about 30 minutes into a very green very strong patchouli note. Some people don't like patchouli and that's fine. I love patchouli and i love pine forests and this, to me, smells like a mix of the two. I have found this fragrance to stay on my skin for over 12 hours and on my clothes even longer. I regularly will put on a jumper that still smells like this after a few days of not wearing it. I just wish they still made it. I shall have to find a replacement for when mine runs out.

As I mentioned in my original review below the patchouli in this fragrance is more 'hippy' than a chocolatey 'Tom Ford type' but it's more than that. The green and earthy notes surrounding it create a kind of floral almost natural soft leathery feel especially in the dry down. What a dry down it is too...magical! This juice has a opulent quality that you only get from a very high end fragrance, it's stunning to be honest. It teeters between green freshness and an intoxicating patchouli that to me is unique. There's notes in the drydown too which are almost rough against the general smoothness...if that makes sense? I love it anyway and definitely more impressed a second time.

Patchouli overdose!!! This thing is banging and green in a way that I haven't encountered before to be honest. It's not the sort of thing I'm used to. Even the patch dominance seems unfamiliar when accompanied by these other grassy and tobacco notes, it could be the concentration...I don't know? It's a weird one...but I do like it. Hindu Grass intrigues me and encourages me to get my nose on it again. I'm staggering my nasomatto reviews having tried everything(ex.Pardon) they have to offer and I was only compelled to purchase Duro at this high price. The jury is still out on Black Afgano. I'm not sure when or where I would wear Hindu Grass it's a daring scent and no mistake.

I bought Hindu Grass blindly, and boy do I love this stuff. It's the cleanest patch I know of, sweetened with something like sweet grass and hay notes. I have been craving patch lately, and all the ones I've been wearing feel oppressive in the heat, but I wore this today, and I got that nice, strong patch, but it was oddly refreshing, not bitter at all. I also get a good amount of light amber and a touch of perhaps green tobacco as well, about 5 hours into wearing it. I typically like dank, musty patch, but this is an amazing green one. A must-own for those who truly appreciate all facets of the patchouli plant. It's been dreamy and wonderful in 80-95F!

Wowie Zowie Fresh cut grass mixed with clean turned dark soil, small amounts of patch, very lite incense vibe below, still in the first hour. My wife pulled up and said she smelled me in the driveway( it's 75 and crazy humid here). I blind bought this based on reviews from Fragrantica and owning BA. This is by far a more complex sent with such a short list of ingredients but how they shine! I recommend if you love dark yet clean amazingly bright 100% dark yet clean amazingness! My wife said I must mention it's subtle yet distinct and classy but very noticeable

Patchouli bomb. I mean that in the best way possible. First off, the lasting power is beyond anything I have ever experienced before. Thus far I've used it using 1 spray on a shirt before I head off to work (around 7:30 am) and by 12 pm, it smells the exact same it did hours ago. This isn't a flat, blunt or "hippie" patchouli; this is well rounded, earthy and rich with green notes and floral notes accompanying it. This is also my first Nasomatto fragrance and if this is what the house has offer then consider me a customer for life.

Wonderful peaceful patchouli Hindu Grass opens with dry grassy/hay notes, rose and patchouli before settling onto a tobacco tinged ambery base with hints of incense and perhaps musk It feels spiritual, contemplative and calming My favorite fragrance *I have both an older (oxidized/macerated) bottle of the extrait and a new(er) roll on. The extrait is a dark ambery color and feels richer and more ambery/musky with the patch smoothed out a bit. The roll is lighter in color and feel, with a sharper patch note

Fantastic scent! I think sky76sky's review below does a stupendous job of outlining the juice. There's something about the grass note that SLOWLY evolves out of the scent that bowls me over. It's a crazy-creative perfume without any florals - which is super-whack! In the US, Barney's carries the Nasomatto line, FYI/FWIW. I had acquired a decant sample previously, but stumbled into a Barney's where I picked up my bottle. Just know that this is NOT your hippy parents' patch...

I absolutely adore this fragrance. Think strong grass and incense, so intense it is practically edible. I cannot stop sniffing my arm when I wear this. Very unique smell, and very clean, lacking any alcohol or powdery notes. Beware though - I had to return one bottle as the thread was faulty and most if the content leaked into my wash bag. It's far too expensive to let this pass!

Mammamia , i like to call it perfume , it is a new presentation of patchouli to what i begin to discover my passion and how much it fits my skin , yes it is a greenish perfume , but keeping s high quality and elegance , i love it more for man it tenders there masculinity never losing it :) . unfortunately it is on 30ml i don't dare o use it often .

In a nutshell - this perfume is absolutely heavenly. A perfect chypre and I am completely hooked. I received it today and even though the bottle leaked a little in transit (which I find annoying)it was forgotten the moment I was hit by the green, herby, patchouli, rose, oakmoss notes and I am in Nirvana. WOW and double WOW.

I have many great Patchoulis. This is maybe the #1 patch frag in the world, a soliflore. It is mostly patchouli, many nice nuances of musk, I do get a hint of rose. But everything embellishes the great patchouli, that is clean, intense, and multi faceted.

Patchouli bomb. Not powdery, leans more dank and soily. I love this frag, best patchouli I've every got my nose on. Spray half a spritz if you can- its a powerful juice that fills a room and lasts a week on my clothes.

It smells exactly like a tobacco pulp facility, and then when it settles down, there is a smell of wet hay. A true work of art among perfumes!

Finally added this to the collection after years of hunt! This is a true masterpiece from the sir Gualtieri!

Nasomatto is art. A lot of people don't get their scents but once they try them, I've seen many get hooked. Their scents are meant to evoke certain imagery and, from the ones I've tried, pull it off time and time again. I own 3 of their scents (Duro, Black Afgano, and Hindu Grass) and they are all winners in my book. I'm still looking at picking up Pardon in the future. I've waited a long time to do a review, especially on this one. You look at the note breakdown and it looks simple enough right? Let's put it under the microscope a bit. Smell: Heavy patchouli fragrance. Let's get that out in the open. If you are not a patch fan, you probably are not gonna like this. It's not a "full" patch fragrance mainly because there are other things going on in the background. It kind of amps that patchouli and makes it extra earthy and make you feel as if you're out in a field pulling grass from the dirt itself. The artistic direction was so simplistic but nails it. I love earthy scents. It's weird how fragrance tastes have changed but I reach more for the earthy scents or my ambers lately. I give it high marks for the scent since I like patchouli personally. Overall, the scent is pretty linear and doesn't transition much, if at all. It is consistent and this is what I like. Rating: 8/10 Projection: For those of you who love the long lasting scents, say no more. Nasomatto fragrances, in general, will last a long time. They are classified under the 'extrait' category meaning they are more concentrated. This means you don't need a lot of it to do you justice. I know there are some pumpers out there who like to choke out their friends/neighbors/fellow people on the train/bus because they wanna 'be noticed.' Brother/Sister, you will be noticed with 1 or 2 (MAX). Don't overdo it. You'll be projecting PLENTY for hours. I've had to shower this stuff off many times because it's still there after a 12-13 hour shift. Perfect marks. Rating: 10/10 Price: Only comes in one size and it's 30 mL. Doesn't sound like a lot right? You would be mistaken. 30 mL is plenty considering you don't need to use much of it. It will last you a long time unless it's the only thing on your shelf and you use it constantly. Even then, 1-2 sprays a day isn't much unless you're like the aforementioned people in the previous section. The only downside? Hindu Grass is one of the harder Nasomatto fragrances to acquire. Luckyscent used to carry it but last I checked, it wasn't there. You can still get it at Neiman Marcus ($185 USD, $6.16 per mL) and FragranceNet ($116 USD, $3.86 per mL). If you can get it from the latter, then that's a good buy. All of this being said, still a little pricey. Rating: 6/10 Versatility: Fall/Winter scent for me. MAYBE in the spring when it's kind of cool outside. Other than that, you won't catch me wearing it at all. I only wear Hindu Grass on special occasions anyway. To me, this isn't a scent you wear for "attention" or "to get compliments" although it's capable of doing both of these things. I wear it just to enjoy the smell. Don't wear it to the gym because as I said in the projection section, it's pretty loud and can be cloying. Don't wear it to a job interview because most interviewers don't like strong fragrances. Honestly, it shows you're trying a little too hard and doesn't really scream, "I need this job" rather than saying "Show me attention." It can possibly be worn on dates but I'd "test the waters" a little bit first to find out what your partner likes before blindsiding them with this baby. Don't wear it on the first date. You'll thank me later. Rating: 5/10 Final Rating: 7.2/10. Interesting scent. Solid scent (which is what should be weighed heavily in your decision) and it's a patchouli lovers dream. If you love artistic scents, this might be up your alley. I do recommend sampling it and see what you think though.

If you want an "intellectual" scent, love patchouli & want a change of direction from the normal oriental & chypre blends in which it usually appears then it is worth tracking down Hindu Grass. HG is both sun-warmed & slate-cold, sharp & cosy, luminous yet grounded. Intruiging, verdant, arid, elegant & totally unisex. HG opens with an almost nutty dryness & a distinct lack of sugar - all parched terracotta tiles & dusty hay fields. It's a quirky opener that hooks you in from the start. This lasts but a minute or two when a high, thin sweet note appears along with a naturalistic almost zesty greeness. Imagine crushing bitter-sweet leaves & in your hands - the dry & oily kind with a touch of lime peel....no sign of lush, wet greens here. As it warms to the skin the bitter, fragrant leaves unfurl & the perfume develops into a two-tiered affair. It conjurs up an intimate olfactory trip around a plant's anatomy. Rooted in at the base is an earthy & grounded patchouli with a touch of sweet, cosy tobacco - ochre in colour with the silky dryness of powdered terracotta clay. Floating high above is the canopy of the scent - shimmering like a dry heat-haze. A luminous, thin floral mirage hovers above a lively, bitter-green. HG is deceptively bold in character & volume despite the natural feel & weightlessness. For such a delicate "plant" it has a lot of voice when it blooms. The perfumey-character that develops threatens to take-over at times, but never reaches the anticipated headache-inducing, hi-jack phase. It is like meeting a very large tiger only to find its growl is more like a kitten's purr. Delightfully, relievingly unexpected. HG is not a try-hard scent but it is an oddity which is just suprising enough to give your olfactorary system a work-out. It sharpens your senses without becoming insulting & troublesome - HG is a good-natured, naturalistic scent - and ultimately remains very wearable. The lasting power is pretty good & the projection is suprisingly bold. A wonderful dichotomous scent. Maybe not best in show, but certainly worth a silver-gilt.

When I first opened the sample vial, I thought I smelled geranium as well as the patchouli and green notes. Of course, geranium leaves are green, so I suppose they qualify as a green top note. For a while the scent keeps growing, with the geranium staying close to the skin and a crisp, green patchouli taking over in the sillage, along with some other aromatic things that I couldn’t identify individually. I’ve never smelled fresh patchouli leaves (gotta get a live plant!), but this is how I imagine they would smell. After an hour or so the individual notes blend into a classic perfume-y scent, sharp, spicy, and woody. It reminds me of the original Fendi perfume. The scent lasts all day until, in the end, it dries down to a woody, earthy patchouli that lingers on the skin and clothing. In Hindu Grass I was expecting something along the lines of head-shop patchouli and “hemp”, but this is more like a high-quality vintage perfume. I’m enjoying it because it has immense strength without being overpowering; it’s aromatic without any floral notes; it’s classic without having an “old-lady” feel. What a surprise. Now I want to try the other perfumes from Nasomatto. Crazy nose indeed!

One of my earliest niche purchases - a blind one at that. I love this scent as I normally would avoid scents like this. Something works for me. I am prompted to write this review because even though I would rarely wear this I have a soft spot for it and reviews and note representation here are inappropriate. It smells as advertised and what the name is is what I get. I get musk candy stick on top of patchouli in equal portions - any inference that this is a patchouli scent or dominant scent to me is not fair. There is an earthiness represented with soft Green hay like grass on top and candy stick musk representing Hindu incense burning in a temple nearby. I feel transported to a lush grassy area on a crisp cool sunrise before the temperature starts climbing on a hot day somewhere in India where I can smell a wisp Of incense rolling on a slight breeze from the Hindu temple nearby. Slightly left field and Avante Garde as per Nasomatto.

It’s certainly quite unique to me and I do find it very calming and grounding. The powerful earthiness is not far removed from the smell of freshly dug soil, which I thoroughly enjoy as gardening is my favourite stress-busting pastime. I love that primal sensation I get from my hands touching fresh earth and plant roots. Hindu Grass evokes that feeling perfectly. No florals, no sweetness, it’s quite a brave and creative conception that was clearly not designed for mass market appeal and I applaud Nasomatto for that. I dare say it will get both haters and lovers. I’m in the latter camp. I seem to remember that Nasomatto translates in English as something like “crazy nose”. Well they’re really living up to their name with this highly eccentric fragrance, in a most delightful way!

This is all about patchouli/sandalwood and mild tobacco. It leans to masculine scents imo and it is suitable for spring, fall and cool summer evenings. At the opening there's a vivid but pleasant hey note which fades away giving its place to the smoky, spicy, a little dusty & earthy patchouli. As time passes it becomes more pleasant. I get something like slightly citrusy incense which I believe it one of the qualities of the patchouli. I also get strong raw sandalwood oil, same feeling as some pure sandalwood attars. As time passes a sub-sweet spicy vibe emerges with menthol. Something like opium attars. This scent develops quickly and it changes all the time which I love. I can't comment on performance yet. I need time with it so I'll update with info the next days.

Yeşil notalar ise özellikle ilk 10 dakikada kendini hissettiriyor. Keyifli ve yumuşak bir koku. Farklı bir patchouli istiyorsanız mutlaka deneyin. Kalıcılık markanın diğer ürünlerinde olduğu kadar kuvvetli değil. Koku tene yakın kalıyor. Çok sıcak havalarda bunaltabilir.

If I were to keep it short - it's a great clean and sweet patchouli. I get moist earth and grasses almost bordering to a sweet, clean vetiver scent. Sweet tobacco is also somehow lingering in the background. I don't find it to evolve very much, but it's a pleasant and quite subtle scent, I imagine it being very versatile for let's say, office jobs or if you do a lot of traveling in a crowded plane, train or bus. Great longevity, but not so great projection. Unisex and very nice, but at a 160 $ for 30 ml I find it rather overpriced compared to what you're getting.

Following the idea or picture behind this fragrance I can see it as a contemplative, quiet, simple and unpretentious creation. It gives a sort of peaceful feeling. Patchouli is basically the star of this perfume, the green notes stay behind the whole time, like supporting characters. The tobacco, well, it's somewhere there but at least on me It doesn't projects much, although I can definitely smell it right before and during the drydown. I wasn't expecting Hindu Grass to be this good. If you can get a sample, do it. Worth to check it out.

my classification would be dry green for this (if there was such haha) as other reviewers before me, I can also smell something like vetiver. To me it is a bold combination of vetiver and patchouli with a touch of smokiness, especially on the opening. Later it smoothens a little and becomes sweeter (though not sweet) with a more grassy feel. A must try for green frag lovers imho P.S. only downside is sillage/longevity, despite the fact being a perfume extrait it would only linger for a few hours.

A single clump of sun-parched desert grass, beckoning for rain to slake its thirst. Anhydrous and barely green on greeting. Sharp, with a drop of bitterness--galbanum perhaps? Dryness becomes animate with a helical spiral of dust and sand. Heat becomes tempered as grass exhales one last time with humid breath. Culminating into dank, golden wood with an herbaceous sweetness. Albeit well balanced and cleverly composed, Hindu Grass is not a fragrance I care to wear.

Patchouli will stay with you from beginning to the end. Grass and patchouli combination with kind of beautiful dirtiness at background. A nuclear powerhouse of patchouli which your nose would need quite some time to learn to deal with it.why? Because this amount of patchouli possibly new for most of people specially an amateur nose. Definitely worths trying. 4/5 Age:+30 Spring and autumn days + Cool summer nights.

Visualize a plant growing from a fat, moist soil: its leaves, thick and glossy. We also recognize Alessandro Gualtieri's grassy, lush and bitter touch from Black Afgano, only multiplied to the max! So harmonious and beautiful. It didn't change at all on my skin like most of Nasomatto's EDP I tried so far, and lasted a couple of hours. I'd enjoy it more as a room frag than a EDP actually.

I tried this one today and I love that earthy, dirty smell that this one has. The dry down is quite nice and much easier on the nose than the bitter opening. If anyone owns this but doesn't like and wants to swap please let me know. I would trade a couple off to own a full bottle of this.

Fragrance that is very dependent on the temperature... With the first comes negative reaction...later becomes more enjoyable ... too dirty,too earthy, too oriental(unbalanced ,strong outliners). I have mixed it with zegna milan( which is basically a fig leaves) to shape it.

A bright, sweet and peaceful green patchouli-based fragrance, this one is definitely an interesting offering from this line. The central patchouli note is surrounded by hints of tobacco, grass, green notes and rose. Sillage and longevity are outstanding.

My god, this is green, green grass. Extremely green- even more so than my Chanel No 19 or Balmain Vent Vert. This must easily be 25-30%+ fragrance oil, it feels so dense and lasts for days. I do wish it had more nuance to it, though.

this is another gorgeous Nasomatto. the opening is very much the tobacco and the patchouly but then green and grassy notes kick in and loose up the dryness of the fragrance. overall a nice green and fruity scent.

The only discontinued model of this brand. A bright, cool, multi-faceted green patchouli. My first impression was that it wafted out of curry seasoning powder...if you've ever smelled it at the supermarket, it's usually turmeric, and something. To sum it up with spices, curry flavor. (No wonder the name is India.) The spice, spicy character of Hindu Grass is very subtle, and it is internalized into the personality of Hindu Grass - yes, all in one. Peppermint brightens up patchouli. Patchouli should have a lot of chocolate powder and sweetness, but because it is not the focus of this fragrance, it is not very noticeable. It's not medicinal, and it's quite "fresh", and this part is satisfying. All the ingredients are moisturised by a mild grease and musk. Patchouli oils helped. In addition to patchouli, tobacco is the second largest. Hindu Grass adds a smoky character and adds a dry char. Its fragrance seems to be only patchouli, but the layer and richness are beyond expectations. The green and astringent roots of the plant are neutralized by the imperceptible floral fragrance, and the sweetness of the patchouli itself, all the elements blend just right. This is a part of Hindu Grass' personality. Slightly bitter at first, but soon fades away. Patchouli that is not explosive, I like it.

I will have to try this in shops, just to make sure my sample was not mixed up with something else... Because so far this is not grass scent at all. The top note is real fist into the nose:) It settles quite quick and the nothing more interesting happens. So called green notes are bit close to the skin, so you can get them only if you sniff where you'd sprayed. I think I will stick to black afgano

Didn't find anything 'green' or 'grass' with this one, just an overpowering Patchouli bomb which I think is very difficult for a man to pull off. It's backed by heavy floral notes. A scrubber for me.

This is a very heavy patchouli in all its mintyness, more of a medicinal cabinett with very bitter aftertaste. I do not like it all!

Fleeting herbal smoke. Hindu Grass is a beautifully constructed but short-lived herbal patchouli scent. Hindu Grass can open your mind,it can sweep away the disturbing thoughts,it can fill you up with peace and stillness.This perfume has a meditative aura,the mild earthy smoke calming and wakes up the senses. In this mild blend the notes seamlessly mixed together,this down to earth patchouli accented with the melancholic spiced tobacco haze.They just perfectly merges together with the uplifting minty green shades.This warm herbal haze settles into a gentle green- amber shadow what is absolutely stunning to my nose.My biggest disappointment, this strange beauty has no lasting power,neither projection on me.:(I could be part of this miracle only just two short hours:( I wish I had more power of this essence! With every inhale of Hindu Grass,you can soaked yourself with the Earth's vibrations,excluded the noisy outside world for a moment. What a pity for being so ephemeral!:(
