Micodelirio

I’ve worn micodelirio 3 days in a row since I got it. Each time I’ve worn it I thoroughly enjoyed it. I can’t say “it smells exactly like a forest full of pixies and mushrooms”, but isolated from the marketing, I love how it smells. That being said, it fits perfectly in the Nasomatto lineup to me. I’ve tried them all except china white, nudo, and nudiflorum. This profile doesnt smell like anything else except a Gualtieri fragrance. Does it maybe have notes similar to other Gualtieri fragrances? Sure...I feel the complaints about certain notes being similar to other Nasomatto’s or Orto parisi’s is kinda like complaining about Pharrell’s beats all having his signature 4 beat intro...Every time Gualtieri uses patchouli it’s unfair to say it’s lackluster just because another fragrance of his has patchouli in it...altogether this is a new profile and it’s refreshing with all the sameness in fragrances these days... It starts bright but dense with what seems to be a bitter orange combo with something green, maybe moss/patchouli/something camphorous underneath. This then starts to transition to a combo of ylang, other florals (maybe Jasmine), and what comes off lactonic and nutty with the greenness of the opening still in the background...this is the part I like the most, the part that keeps me smelling wherever I sprayed it...and it lasts for quite a while, an hour or 2...this stage starts to sweeten slightly and moves into a spiced, vanillic, nutty, dry down that goes on and on...please remember, this is a Gualtieri so my breakdown omits the indescribable complexities at each phase. This fragrance isn’t sharp green to me...it comes off round and smooth throughout. It’s not fougere or old school masculine green...it’s just Micodelirio...it’s better suited for fall/winter/early spring, cool weather. The dry down would be too much in high heat. I got the limited edition cap #80/100 and I will continue to enjoy this, another great Nasomatto in my collection. All things considered I rate this a 8/10 for now...I’m sure it would go up to a 9 in cooler, more appropriate weather.

I spray Micodelirio and suddenly find myself in a damp forest, with the smell of freshly turned earth filling my nostrils. It is an intense, almost unsettling sensation. I try to get my bearings, nose pointed toward the sky. I catch notes of conifers, pine resin, bitter balsamic nuances framed by dry, ancient woods. A hint of mold and mushrooms creeps through the air, then, little by little, an unexpected sweetness emerges: almost fruity, exotic, tropical. Eventually, it blends with something cheesy, animalic, primordial. After a bewildering opening dominated by earthy and balsamic notes, the fragrance develops into a substantial drydown that expands noticeably as body temperature rises, becoming almost overwhelming at times. But it was in the evening that I truly understood it. While taking a walk, I realized that Micodelirio was still there, gently cradling me, bringing a sense of peace and serenity, carrying my thoughts away and leaving me with an unusual feeling of lightness. An evening fragrance. Best suited to autumn and winter. More for oneself than for others. Remarkable projection, remarkable longevity. My personal impression is that, unlike many other fragrances by Gualtieri, this one contains a significant amount of natural raw materials. I think there is a lot to enjoy about Micodelirio. There is the ever-present earth/soil and a freshness that resembles a pine or even a mint to my nose, like a forest walk after rain. But the fragrance does not settle for just petrichor, that would be too boring for something named after a mushroom-induced delirium. The smell has herbal notes that vaguely remind me of Black Afgano (I get artemisia and lavender) and a very earthy sweetness that resembles a sugar beet to me - a particularly nostalgic scent for yours truly. It truly feels like an "enchanted forest walk" in the opening and dries down into a very comforting, ambery sweetness to me. I do get the mushroom note, but like I read somewhere else, the fragrance feels more like the idea of a mushroom than a mushroom scent. I think the base is a bit too warm and might get cloying in hot summers, but the scent seems versatile otherwise. It feels like it radiates a lot less strongly than Alessandro's typical offerings, but lasts for quite a long time to me. I will definitely be wearing it more often.

I’m sure a lot of people is not going to like it ,not because is not pleasant but because is definitely not mass-appealing ,I personally find Micodelirio comforting, cozy and even elegant. To my nose I get wet forest soil after several rainy days, I even get geosmin , wet pine needles or something camphorous, I don’t really get any mushrooms, but I do get something nutty and powdery almost like coconut ,Seldomlyoftem reviewer told me it could be pine nuts, and I think it could also fit the description. As far as the evolution starts green, damp and camphorous and as it progresses the sharp green piney notes tone down but never disappear leaving a mild woody, nutty ,powdery ,calming ,almost meditative scent that stays like that for the remaining of the duration. Everyone is going to have a different perspective on the same notes, to me Micodelirio was a fantastic blind buy and I can’t wait for the colder season to wear it. As a side note I find the projection to be moderate but pretty good and longevity about 6-7 hours.

Decay. At first, a dappled green-brown moss invites you into the forest floor. After some time it buckles and invites you to its bed of rotted wood, so tender it would turn to dust under a human hand. This blooms into a mushroom that can only be called dank. It is humid and dense like mold, truly remarkable. At once, the atmosphere is focused while so blurred. The harder you look at this mushroom the worse your thrall. Micodelirio is a psychedelic masterpiece without relying on any of the scent tropes of incense, sage, or palo santo. This fragrance will not be enjoyed by most people. Evocative, never performative. Attendant at the perfume counter offered me the only tiny promotional sample the store had while they wait to receive a shipment of full bottles to sell. Highly anticipated this scent and the dry-down was worth the wait. If you can try this, do it. Allow yourself to be surprised (submerged). The promotional video for this scent captures it perfectly.

So I just got this in as a birthday gift from my friend...and this is really something else. It's almost along the lines of Blamage but in a darker and earthier direction. A sort of sharp astringent dark green-ness? It smells like a poisonous plant or like ash on the bark of a tree in the rainforest. Very green but not in a Vetiver or Oakmoss kind of way. It's green like it's pouring in the rainforest and you've stumbled across a giant wet tree with a bark that you know you shouldn't touch. Petrichor on steroids with something sinister mixed in. I will have to update but I can already tell this is gonna be one of the more interesting ones from the brand. Will let you guys know on the dry down. UPDATE: This thing is quite linear to my nose and that's kind of a good thing here! It retains all of its character from opening to drydown. Rainy, earthy, forest like fragrance. If I want to smell like a wood elf all day, this will be my go to from now on :)

I’m totally onboard with the psychedelic mushroom idea here. First blast is wet and mouldy, some people say basement but I’m on team forest floor. Realistic and maybe a bit challenging. Then it suddenly transports you into a world of colour. I detect a fresh and bitter beetroot-like note (one of the few similarities to Risvelium). Purple was the perfect colour for the packaging. It shapeshifts back and forth for a few hours like the wiggly visuals of a mushroom trip, sometimes back in the forest and sometimes hallucinating. The drydown has a chocolate sweetness like Pardon and lasts a surprisingly long time. Another reviewer detected tonka bean, which I almost regret reading because it concretised something that was really mysterious and magical to me before. I really like this one. Where Risvelium is a big blast of psychedelic sunlight in your face, Micodelirio is the grounded, earthy embrace of the forest gnomes.

Just got my special edition today (and cap number 1 as well!!). First impressions are very positive. Opens earthy, musty green - reminds me a lot of Prins discontinued Ahuizotl - but slightly fresher and more balsamy. Has somewhat of a more tangy angle to it as well, but doesn't seem to venture too far into incense like Zoologist's king cobra. Place it in the same category as the two I've mentioned though. Definitely going to be a regular wear if the dry down goes well Edit after a day's wear: Dries down to a very pleasant sweet wet woody scent. Ok punch for the first 8 hours, but towards the end it did start to get overpowered by yesterday's Nudiflorum on my shirt. Compared arm to arm with King Cobra. KC is very spicy and green, dominated by the incense. If this was stripped away, I think one would get a very close base to Mico, albeit with Mico retaining a slightly sweeter tone

Was a blind buy for me. Personally I get lots of eucalyptus, orange peel, soil and yellow florals, as well as a bit sweetness of raw-like vanilla? Sister said it smells like orange peel or a glass of aperitivo. I got it the same time I played Resident Evil Requiem, so it will forever remind me of this specific game. Especially the moment when we finally left the sanatorium with Grace and Emily. The outside must have smelled like something similar to Micodelirio. Overall a weird but pleasant fragrance and easy to wear. Probably works for all seasons, but best when it's raining or had rained. Sillage and longevity is slightly above average but comfortable. Not as strong as other Nasomattos for sure. Also one of the more natural smelling Nasomatto to me.

Micodelirio opens very soily, earthy, reminded me of smell of shu puerh tea. After the earthy layer goes woody and herbal, fresh layer, reminding me a bit of Viride by orto parisi. After some time of wearing it outside i felt a light spicyness, it very interesting how this fragrance just gives you new sensations over time. I also feel like the longer you sniff it - the sweeter it gets, almost vanilla - caramel notes. It really reminded me of King Cobra by zoologist, its very funny because i just got the sample of it recently and it smells very similar. btw this perfume made me finally make an account on fragrantica and this is my first review. peace!

Best Nasomatto ever. So, so beautiful, playful and original. Performs forever without oppressing, unlike Risvelium which made me wish I'd never worn it after a few hours. This is probably the most complex Nasomatto fragrance I've worn too. I didn't like it immediately and it absolutely MUST be worn on skin, don't judge it from a spray on card. Also, I've always thought their flimsy paper packaging was very inadequate, bit this deluxe, velvety version is perfect for this scent, as is the bottle, and it feels more robust.

Awesome, earthy, damp and wet. It has this really realistic soil note with a bit of a sweet orto Paris vibe to it in the opening, most perfumes by Alessandro Gualtieri have a similar background note, as it dries down it feels like a wet rock in a rainy forest, I love it. Doesn't last as long as I expected though. The dry down after 3-4 hours becomes underwhelming on my skin.

Blind buy for me...When im smelling it close to skin it creates a perfect vivid image of my late great grandma house...Moldy,old furniture and books...Whole house is very dark and cold,but somehow creates a fuzzy and warm safe feeling for me..I will give it a few days to really try to understand it...This has nothing to do with Risvelium,people are insane

I just tried micodelirio in a perfume shop in Barcelona. Damp earth, moss, petrichor-like and then... earthy patchouli. Loved it. Like walking in an old mossy forest after the rain. No evolution; beast mode sillage, projection and durability. I'll get my bottle. The cap is cool.

Damp moss stones and mushrooms, sweeter as it fades. A more approachable and less "masculine" Olm by Zoologist, but you need to enjoy smelling like a cave (I do).

Damn this is strong stuff. To make it short, earth (maybe wet), forest/trees, there is something sweet and i do get some hints of mint too. Amazing stuff.
