Silver Musk

This smells nothing like White Rose Egyptian musk - & it's not "simple" at all - the freshness of mountain air, in this definitely, + few herbs, a little mint, green tea, a whisper of woods & something that must be "silver" musk definitely - but oh so fresh, clean, & rather special - it smells great on my partner, but he thinks it smells so much better on me - & we both adore it. This is subtle, but present, & maybe deceptively simple - it unfolds, in hours; maybe wear it for weeks/preferably months - before dismissing it, this one. Like anything else, to produce something relative simple AND perfect - is v hard, & can be done only by the best at their craft - anybody can make a super complex perfume hide the odd flaw - but this is something else, personally, & it is flawless, I find; note I CANNOT bear, Black Afghan, or the dreadful Tuberose offering, of this House - but this is something so special. I don't think of it as masculine, particularly - it's such a clean, mountain air, musk - though maybe at first I thought the openings leaned a little that way - but it pulls feminine on my skin, always - whilst being incredibly sexy, & extremely masculine somehow; on my.partners skin (ofc he smells amazing in most fragrances, that is tru)e - but he is v picky about any, & this really suits him, he loves this - some similarities with Le Labo's Another 13, minus the Ambergris, in some way, I feel - & that is, another one that is amazing on him, these are his preferred type, by far) - but this has something neither of us hv experienced before, & it's very, very good. (Ofc - the less ppl who wear it the better, for us) - but I think if you can get a decent sample, it's interesting. Maybe slightly metallic early on - but just a hint - & lovely with it; that part of it isn't a "cheap" metallic problem, as you might fund in sine perfumes, this is deliberate, & the whole layered experience of this smells expensive, to the Nth degree; I find, espc on my partner, & it's a quite subtle, but completely intoxicating perfume, a few hours in; I could breath this in from the back of his neck, forever. So gorgeous, new signature scent. It's distinctly cool-toned and aptly named—most musks give off deep gold but this one is ephemeral, light, silvery. The best way I can describe the scent is that it smells like heat; the heat in the air after blow drying your hair intermingled with expensive shampoo, the heat coming off a clothes dryer tinged with detergent or steam pouring out of the vent of a laundromat, the heat coming off the skin of someone who's just had a steamy bath. Different than the aquatic freshness I've smelled too much of, it's a warm cleanliness, beautifully human. The way you always hope your skin smells. I find that people either don't detect it or they rave about it when I give them a hug—and it's always the chic people who notice it. I'm not one for sweet or floral perfumes, I edge a little masculine/unisex in my choices (other usual is CdG Amazingreen) and have been looking for a clean white shirt scent forever. I didn't want anything too men's cologne-y, too soapy, or too citrusy. I found this scent at a niche perfumery in Portland OR and wore it on one wrist for a day alongside a different scent on the other; by comparison the other perfume smelled trite and garish while Silver Musk felt like home. It's a stunning undertone when layered, too. I feel very protective of this scent, I hope it never gets too popular!

Okay so this was not what I was expecting at all. This is somewhere in between a very soapy and cottony musk. It’s is extremely clean, maybe one of the cleanest scents I’ve smelled. During its opening there’s a bit more going on than what you’d get from your average musk. To my nose I get a bit of rosemary, lavender and some black pepper giving it almost a fougere type of shaving cream smell. As it transitions into its base it turns almost entirely into a cottony musk direction with the slightest bit of tonka. I do get a bit of that bubblegum thing that you can find in Pardon. For me I do like it but it’s just extremely light! Too light for something I’d want to keep. A bit disappointed as I find gaulteiri went into the opposite direction than I was expecting. His usual bold style of animalic/diffusive musks is non existent here. This kinda fits in with the style more of molecule 1 than musks like Fredric Malle or le labo. I think unless you are looking for something extremely light you should steer clear. I went with 4 sprays that lasted all day on my skin but it was undetectable to my friends/co-workers Oh well... I’ve yet to have gotten that magical blind but yet 😤 Update: decided to keep, it’s grown on me a lot, It’s light but really great for any occasion type of wear!

Simply put... It smells like SILVER MUSK. If you don't like Musk I'm not sure what you're doing thinking if this one will be any different. It's pretty simple but done really right. It reminds me hypothetically of Prada L'homme and a Narciso Rodriguez Bleu Noir fusion. I can see how it could potentially be headache inducing but I think it's so clean and sophisticated it's difficult to dislike. Perhaps easy not to love but difficult to outright hate. I'll be using this heavy throughout on warm days. Goes well with any summer spring attire, suitable for business and a professional setting also. Probably even reasonable to wear in the gym if you're about that because of how expensive it is. This is probably a fragrance some will think is too simple because it can strike people as monotone, but sitting at a Cafe or by the beach on a nice day in a clean white shirt you'll turn some heads and attract a few gazes. I actually think this leans more feminine but could still be worn by men. THE BAD: Longevity barely got to 3 hours to my nose. Maybe 3.2hrs tops.

This musky, powdery scent is incredibly sophisticated. My first impression was that it smelled so similar to Body Shop's White Musk but when I sprayed it on my skin, I could swear I felt my heart melt. The simplicity of it deceives you; but the longer you wear it and depending on how the temperature or wind changes, the more it reveals different facets (sometimes floral--although I cannot seem to pinpoint which flower, sometimes citrusy). At times this sits close to the skin, but in spring weather this could surprise you with how it explodes. I once layered this with a tester of Moschino Toy Boy which created a unique, vibrant-powdery-green rose scent, and was surprised how much the Silver Musk came to the fore given the many reviews that claimed it to be weak. If you're a fan of powdery scents, this is definitely going to make your heart flutter. The juxtaposition of the comfort it exudes with the unique power and individuality of this scent makes this creation magical. This is worthy to be in anyone's collection.

I wanted to wear this a lot before leaving a review. I have loved this since I first purchased it but just wanted to make sure my mind didn’t change. It hasn’t. This is one of the best in my collection and on par with my other favourite from the house: Pardon. Nose.fr lists the notes as: lemon, bergamot, thyme, neroli, lily of the valley, sandalwood, musk, leather and guaiac wood. These notes make sense to my nose. The opening is a lovely burst of citrus (bergamot and neroli) and I definitely detect a herbal note (thyme), which perhaps gives it a slightly metallic nuance. The base is a creamy blend of musk and sandalwood with a soft suede-like accord. Simply put, this is the ideal summer fragrance for me. Fresh, invigorating and - true to the perfumer’s description - magnetic. This really seems to draw people in! A truly fantastic fragrance and one that I will never be without.

Blind buy. First two minute are panic inducing, as I think I've just wasted my money. The scent reminds me of ozium, an air sanitizer I sprayed to get the weed smell out of my car as a teenager. While I appreciate the nostalgia, the scent is unpleasant, heavily ozonic and sterile. However, as I gather everything up for resale, I keep smelling myself. The hospital-like sterility has faded, and in it's place is a fatty, expensive soap. The kind of soap I imagine when I think of the movie Fight Club. It's a warm, woody base, with some violet leaf, a hint of citrus and a healthy dose of rosemary cream (and human fat?). I guess I can see where the name comes from, but I had to choose a color for this, it would be a very light pastel pink. It's like someone tethered the fleeting feeling of being freshly showered directly to my skin. I love it.

This is some really good stuff! I have all of the mens and unisex Nasomatto fragrances and this is by far my favorite. Like others have said, it's a very soft and soapy scent. A very clean and fresh. Reminds me of fresh linen. A white perfect T-Shirt scent. Perfect for a summer day. It is not strong at all and that a major plus for me. I go by the less is more rule with 3 sprays max for this and all other fragrances. People often complain that they can't smell some fragrances after some time and spray more. Trust me everyone else definitely smells you. Its an awesome scent but honestly the price is outrageous. At $185 for 30ml is very expensive. If you can afford it or want it bad enough, I highly suggest you give it a try! Awesome! I would give it a solid 9/10

A lovely, fresh and fluffy musk-centered scent! There certainly is a lot more going on here than just musk. In particular, I get aldehydic, metallic, peppery, and floral (magnolia? lavender?) nuances. The overall impression that I get from this definitely leans towards fancy artisanal soap, which makes it agreeable and consequently an easy reach for pretty much any occasion/weather. It lasts nearly all day, but sticks pretty close to the skin, projecting only for the first hour or two. Strangely enough, this almost feels like a toned-down, more approachable CDG 2 to me. It has a similar note that, to my nose, smells like Smarties candy. I can't quite put my finger on it.. All in all though, this smells like fresh laundry and happiness.

Lovely. I like these minimalized scents, there is an art to create something like this. It actually really succeeds in one area - it's interesting. I am wearing it and one moment think mmm amazing, but the next moment I am slightly on the edge of not being sure. Its playing games with my mind, do I Iove it, do I dislike it, but want to wear it cause I am intrigued.. The perfume is distinct and noticeable (try before you buy), unisex I'd say with a slight masculine edge, I get the references of walking in the forest on a mountain, crisp and clean, metallic is also a good word to describe it. Full bottle worthy in my opinion (I have a sample), to me it smells like - 'I am the boss'. ;-)

This might be among the cleanest fragrances that I've had so far. This is your, everyday, fragrance. Your, staying at home, or going grocery shopping, fragrance. Your, meeting the family, or going to a friends wedding, fragrance. It's such a nice and soft smell, this is what you'd put on after a morning shower, to start your day, go to work, pick up the kids from school, walk the dog, take your partner on a cinema date. It can be used for so many occasions. This is not your, "I want heads to turn when I'm dancing in a club" kind of powerhouse. It's not your "trying to make a statement" kind of monster. This is much more elegant than that. And I'm all for it.

I was hypnotised, mesmerized, enchanted... I couldn't stop snifing my forearm: warm, comforting scent of my-skin-but-better with occasional waves of something spicy, sometimes like nutmeg, sometimes like cloves, sometimes almost sweet like vanilla. It lasts all day, but close to the skin, so only those priviledged few who are aloved to come close enough will smell it on you. It is very sensual, but in a subtle way: like his breath on the nape of your neck when you sleep together, like a featherlike kiss on the inside of your wrist, like someone wispering into your ear: "License my roving hands, and let them go/ Before, behind, between, above, below."

Clean, refreshing, and lighter than air, Silver musk absolutely exemplifies "superhero magnetism". Wearing this feels like flying through clouds and feeling the warm springtime sun on your face, or seeing a waterfall in the forest. Brandscents described this as "the purest white flowers that have been living off a diet of lemon and ocean water", this statement is super accurate, as the strengths of this scent lie in its subtleties, like the fresh laundry smell from the musk, and the crisp metallic energy its balanced with. Longevity is standard for Nasomatto, between eight and twelve hours, but the sillage is more intimate than others from the line.

This feels nostalgic for me and I can’t put my finger on it. It’s very clean and fresh, I have a hard time getting fragrances to last on my skin but I’m getting 7-8 hours out of this easily. On the blotter it doesn’t smell like much at all but when it blends with your natural skin oils it becomes addictive. It’s subtle but not weak and you will be noticed. I can’t wait to see how it layers with my other fragrances. Unlike Sadonaso, which I also own and love, this is an easy reach that I want to wear every day so I just wish the bottle was bigger. I’m definitely going to purchase another when I run out.

It’s hard to detect after awhile, on occasion throughout the day you’ll catch whiffs of it. Sits close to the skin, you might not have a radiant glow of fragrance. It lasts all day, this is pretty good for subtle scents, you will be confident knowing you smell good if someone were to sit next to you. I really like it, it’s reserved for those only within proximity. I cannot smell this after 5 minutes, it drives me insane. Everyone else seems to say it’s there, I hit myself with it 3x at 11am, when 11pm hits my gf said she can still smell it and she barley has to lean in to get a whiff of it.

It is not just an olfactory sensation. It is a feeling. It radiates raw sexappeal and very sophisticated vibes at the same time. This smell is not a bomb. It is an underground movement slowly taking over everyone withouth them even realizing. It is the smell of "I have the power to destroy everything, but I choose to be the peace". Not an office fragrance (no Nasomatto is, as far as Im concerned), but if you are planning on meeting the other sex, this will grab the attention. I have to say the simplicity is what makes Silver Musk a top tier parfume for me. 10/10

A combination of an absinthe-led fougere, a big clean white musk note, creamy sandalwood and fruity nuances. The opening is a bracing lemon, bergamot, absinthe, lavender and mint combination that is gorgeous, Soon the citruses and mint leave, and the absinthe and light lavender plays alongside the big soapy musk for a couple of hours. It gets soapier and creamier as a sandalwood note is allowed to peak through and there is a touch fruitiness as time goes by. It remains pleasant for the duration. Excellent release by Nasomatto.

Really love it! Was a blind buy gift for my wife's Mother Day. But it didn t start that way. Here is the story though: read a lot of reviews got it tried it couldn t smell a thing at first super faint, super clean, yes, but super faint i thought that would be ok for my wife as a good complement to her other scents that are stronger she has now worn it twice and it just explodes on her skin i can smell it right away it is not a strong or beast scent but it projects quite an amazing aura and lasts all day. Amazing!

Top notes: Musk Middle notes: Musk Base notes: Musk Longevity: 5 hours Sillage: medium No one ever said this (at least I've never seen it) but this perfume smells 80% like sprite, just try smelling the just opened sprite a and then this perfume after it. I don't mean it's citrusy or lemon, it just smells very similar with a very light herbal note. It's a wonderful, pure, clean and rid of all animal moments musk. Currently my top 1 and first perfume for me at 10/10

Once I heard that expression, describing it as 'me in a bottle,' and it couldn’t be more accurate. This is one of my top comfort scents—in fact, the first one that made it to this list. Clean, fluffy, musky, slightly spicy... I'd say White Suede by Tom Ford has some resemblance to this smell, but Silver Musk is cleaner, without the 'cigarette ashiness' so prominent in TF. Silver Musk makes a perfect signature scent, suitable for all seasons and occasions.

I love this scent, it is so inviting and addictive but also the most underated from Nasomatto unfortunately. You have to dick deeply into the fragrance world to understand that musk is the best note ever in ancient and modern perfumery. The longevity is beyond average and the sillage is moderate. Highly recommended to all who want to smell heavenly and attract people. Just give it a try and you will see how you feel.

I wanted to smell it when I saw the name 'silver musk' and it did not disappoint me that it is what 'silver musk' should smell like. It is a clean soapy skin scent with a cold vibe in it (probably where the word 'silver' comes from), very suitable for summer. It is by far my favourite musk scent as it is not too sharp as most of its counterparts do. It just creates a clean, cool, comforting atmosphere.

Might be the best clean smelling scent I ve ever tried, it is really innofensive soft but long lasting, on everyone else smells different. I get the clean sheet kind of a vibe with some bergamot at the absolute begininng which last like 30 seconds and after that it is a real nice long lasting skin scent which won t bother everyone, the only downside is the steep pricepoint for this kind of a fragrance

i first smelled silver musk at scentbar nyc, but it almost got lost in the chaos of the air—god of fire and a whiff of waffle cone seemed to fill every corner of the room. still, as i focused on it, a subtle, clean, mineralic aroma began to emerge. it was soft, understated, and undeniably pleasant, but not something i’d splurge on at full price. a nice experience, but for me, it’s capped at $90. 6/10

I love this scent. It starts with a very fizzy striking musk that can be bit overwhelming. After a while it becomes a very comforting musk that stays on my skin for a while. Truly unisex in my opinion. Inoffensive and worn during the day. If you are into clean scents that last longer than the average clean scent, then this is a must have. Sadly, as with all Nasomatto fragrances, no large bottles.

Easy, clean, crisp musk. reminds me of cold mountain air. At the same time, just the slightest bit of funk about it. Something very attractive about it. Spray it on liberally while your first fragrance is starting to die down for a nice, airy boost. If you took Bvlgari Pour Homme, stripped away the woody and earthy facets and then turned it into an extrait, it might smell something like this.

Purchased without having ever smelled it before, trusting my feelings, which are never wrong, and I have never been disappointed when I happened to buy perfumes blindly, as in this case. Silver Musk has an ethereal, transparent, crystalline aura........it almost looks like a purple, suffused musk... Very beautiful indeed!!! This isn't a musk fragrance like the name suggests, it's a very clean wood. I don't know what came first PDM Percival or Nasomatto silver musk but they're basically the same fragrance that does the same thing. Clean dry woods, almost sparkling quality to them. Very masculine fragrance by the way, if you're looking for a musk fragrance this isn't a musk fragrance the name is misleading

1 spray = delicate clean musk Several sprays = wait a minute, there's a dirty skank hiding under the freshly laundered sheets and they will do ANYTHING. I love this, it's deceptively complex, a strange mix of steamed aldehydes, salty skin and zesty sparkle. Nasomatto never fails to impress me, even with the ones I can't wear, but this is a favourite.

Very fluffy/fuzzy/soft type of smell, every time I sniff it my mind thinks of a white fur for some reason. Although unisex, in my opinion it leans toward feminine. After the drydown, it smells like my mother's hand creams from when I was a child (Niveas and all that). Very lovely unexpected positive smell from nasomatto.

Nice fragrance! Even though it is only 30 ml, I carried it for three months, from May to August. When it comes to smell, it smells like fresh Sprite with bulky hand soap and a fresh hair mist. It smells rich and worth the price. Sillage and longevity are pretty okay. It is worth trying.

Simply amazing! I love the simplicity of this and it is equal with Aventus and Silver Mountain Water as the nicest Musk note I’ve ever smelled. Excellent performance for a hot weather fragrance and a scent that always puts me in a good mood! Another masterpiece from an amazing house.

Smells like a clean shower, very pleasant and musky. Lovely powdery undertone brings it all together. It has a sort of sweetness to it as well which is not overpowering rather very comforting. I get some type of a floral note here but can't put my finger on it. Lovely overall!

A soft, clean and inoffensive fragrance. Discreet but mysteriously plesant. I pick up notes of fresh citrus, soapy white musk and in the base is sandalwood and a hefty dose of ambergris. Very reminiscent of Etros Musk, which if you consider the price, is a far better buy.

A versatile fresh soapy skin fragrance useable in every scenario and very strong as one spray for me will last up to 24 hours. This could be just my skin types but an absolute longevity beast but does not project very well. Another masterpiece by Alessandro Gualtieri !

Green vegetal musk that lasts and lasts. Layered with Jasmin et cigarette it becomes the bomb!If money were no object I'd get it asap, since money doesn't sprout in my backyard I got SMN Muschio Oro, which smells EXACTLY the same, plus the SMN bottle kicks ass.

Nasomatto Silver Musk is very nice clean soapy musk. It's the best "fresh" musk scent I have in my collection. I could see this working wonders layered with a citrus based fragrance. But perfect as a stand alone musk fragrance. I could easily go through 30ml.

Silver Musk is just musk, nothing else. Very clean and simple. There is not much to say about it. I often combine it with another fragrance if I want to make it more fresh and clean. Eternal longevity as with all Nasomatto fragrances, moderate sillage.

Simple and stunning. Smells like lying down between freshly washed bed linen, headbutting the pillow and inhaling deeply. Clean. Best word I can use to describe this scent. Lasts a full day on me, perfect amount of sillage for this type of aroma.

Unbelievably beautiful and soft musk, extremely warm on skin and almost addictive. Miles ahead of other "simple musk" fragrances, as someone who has been anosmic to the good majority of them. By far the most wearable from the Nasomatto line.

On recommendation I layered this with Molecule 02 on the first wear and was unable to wear it without ever. For me it was too soapy alone but wearing it with 02 gave it some substance. Never had more compliments than with this combo

Airy, light, fresh. Smells like mountain air. I do wish it projected more but it is a great intimate scent. I think it's pretty sexy too. You could say it's one dimensional and sterile but I think it has plenty of character. 9/10

Soft hands clear soap with the clown fish on it. More feminine clean laundry smell. Mildly metallic with a lot of clean musk. Very solid fragrance, 1-2 sprays will last you and leave a good spillage for all day.

This one is hard to hate. It's like a fresh, fluffy musk that is also cold smelling and sharp (kind of metallic) --> it smells very very clean, like clean clothes on a clean body. Simple yet effective.

It's actually becoming really triggering when people just say it smells like musk. Hello, can't you smell the very prominent lavender note (+ rosemary but not as prominent)?
