Nautica Acqua Rush Gold

I loved this scent when I sniffed it at the store, so ended up buying some. I can really not smell it very long/very well, however, so I ended up putting this on my shelf and never reaching for it. Today, however, I decided to apply it just to try it out again. I put 3 sprays on each arm to smell it! To the people who say the opening is loud and it lasts for ever, I guess my nose/brain are just not as sensitive as yours because I still feel like even with lots of spraying I can barely smell anything. Essentially, it has a slightly spicy feel with some citrus followed by a powdery, sweet dry down with some background aquatic type spiciness. There is this note/accord that I detect in several different colognes including Gucci Guilty, Gucci Made to Measure, and this one -- a scent that is the powdery, sweet part that is the main base in the drydown. Not baby powdery, hover, but PEZ powdery. It took me the longest time to make the memory connection, but these scents all have something that remind me of the powdered sugary smell of PEZ. Maybe this is some sort of perfume chemical that is like iso-e super that keeps on giving wafts of fragrance but doesn't "smell" as strongly on sniffing closer to its source. I feel like Burberry Touch also has something similar in it (in action, not smell). Overall, I like Gucci Made to Measure a lot better, but a lot of people can't smell that one either. I think I paid about USD $20 for this, but in 2020 it looks like the price is more like $40-70 now. To sum up: much better than I remember it being, would not be bad if a cheapie and you are looking for a slightly spicy, summer aquatic scent with powdery, sweet undertones.

I love crisp, fresh, citrus, fruity, green and aquatic fragrances like there's no tomorrow. But this isn't one of them. It is mildly fresh and clean smelling. [EDIT] I original wrote this was not worth getting but it has grown on me a little so I moved it from bottom rung of the ladder to next to bottom rung of the ladder. Only because the rose note in this is actually very nice for a cheapy and I don't even like rose as a note for men. Scent : 4/10 Longevity : 4/10 Sillage: 5/10 Final Score : 4/10

This one is fresh and clean! The top note is just lovely and bright. It has a uplifting feel as well. The citrus note shines through in this fragrance. Can't believe more people have not reviewed this fragrance. This is definitely a cool refresher for spring and summer! Good stuff!

Very fresh and shower gel vibe from this fragrance. Sharp notes and mellow notes from this one a well. They end up going really well with each other in the end. Hoping to buy this fragrance again sometime. It preforms really well for how cheap it was.

To my nose this is a dialed back/ lighter D&G Light Blue Eau Intense.

Wasn’t bad, wasn’t amazing, kind of generic

FRESH/MUSKY/FLORAL/SLIGHTLY POWDERY (SPORTSY CLEAN) opens up fresh & clean & synthetic, smells like clean sports deodorant; very clean, linear, doesn't push hard only noticeable in-close and last only a couple of hours

The top note's of this cologne remind me of Germ-X but the dry down is awesome. If the top didn't smell like hand sanitizer, this would've been a great cheapie.

Very strong opening. Majorly sweet grapefruit.. super sweet to me. Not creamy sweet just fruit sweet. Then I wait. And wait. And wait. This stuff lasts forever on my skin. Sweet/fresh. More sweet. Very linear. Finally the dry down happens and it smooths out. Some wood comes through underneath.. and the citrus mellows. Still sweet but more rounded. Pretty “generic” at first and even on the dry down. Easy on the button.. might get a headache. Only buy if you are on a budget imo. Not bad for the price. Edit: Just wore this again (been a while) on a hot day. Wanted to see how it handled heat. Deff go easy in summer.. can be cloying. Dry down was ok. Not the worst out there.

This lasted from 7pm Monday evening until 11:30am Tue (Iknow,Iknow,lazy bones)when I jumped in the shower. And I could still smell it on my clothes later as I was putting them in the washer. It definitely has a fresh out at the beach smell, when I woke up that morning I forgot I sprayed it on and my 11 week old kitten climbed up on me (she was hungry) and I said to my husband oh-no Ellie must have gotten into the laundry room or something she smells so good....then she ran away, and I still smelled good!

Well this is a surprising smell, after all the reviews from Nautica users, this fruity, crisp fragrance is underrated, plus I think smells like every lemony-orange enthusiast is looking for, I personally think this is a very good buy, specially for the price is given the expensive fragrances a run for their money; The only downside is the longevity which is only on my skin about 1hr to 1 1/2 hours!!!!

Unfortunately I have to agree with the review below. Terrible cheap deodorant opening. One has to wait for the dry-down to experience the violet and marine notes. Lasting power is also poor. Other Nautica edt`s are sooo much better. So, I wont `diss` the brand Nautica completely. -)

Pretty good stuff from Nautica but doesn't hang with Voyage. Strong grapefruit top note that doesn't last very long (an hour at most). Dry-down is like any other summer citrus scent. Overall not a bad buy for the price.
